Stuffed Flounder
Happie M.

Went there for lunch after a good day at the beach. We shared the stuff flounder & fried calamari since we weren't too hungry. The stuffed flounder was baked good & wasn't too salty for my taste buds. Our server was friendly & answered all our questions. And the place wasn't too crowded when we got there & the music wasn't too loud.

Grouper sandwich.

I decided to give this place another try after 2 years, especially since I received a birthday coupon. Honestly, I now remember why I had skipped my previous coupons. The grouper sandwich was $19.99 and came with potato chips, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The bun was bigger than, the fish fillet (maybe a 4-5 oz). While it was seasoned nicely (blackened). it wasn't fully cooked through--flaky in some spots, but mostly undercooked. From the picture, that's the blackened seasoning and it was a bit dark inside. There was more topping than fish, which left me disappointed. If I had to actually pay full price for the fish, this would have been a lower review. Since the fish portion was small, I also ordered wings because I was still hungry. I knew they were breaded, but they ended up being dry, and to top it off, they charged extra for the tiny plastic cup of blue cheese. It was only $.50, but if I had known, I would have passed. However, the wings were palatable. I ordered them because of the wings special. On the positive side, the drinks were solid--well-priced and on point. The service was good, the staff friendly, awesome inter-coastal view, and the place itself has a lot of character with a fun vibe. For that reason, I'd still suggest stopping in for the drinks, ambience, and service. But when it comes to the grouper sandwich, I'd recommend skipping it.

Mahi Rueben

Fun fun fun we have always thought about going to Squid Lips but had never tried it until today. How do you describe a restaurant that has indoor dining, outdoor dining on a deck and beach dining where you can sit at a table in the sand. The atmosphere is casual and "beachy"with on this day live music. We started our lunch with two 22 oz beers, after all we we sitting on a deck by a bar with live music, (you gotta have a beer). We started with conch fritters a perfect match with the beer. They were hot crispy outside yet fluffy and flavorful inside with lots of conch. I tried the Mahi Rueben it seemed fresh and well made. We also had fried shrimp which were also very good. Both portions were large and nicely presented. Our server was very knowledgeable and efficient. Overall this was a surprisingly good experience and meal at a reasonable price.

The service was great here and so was the majority of the food. The located and crab burger waa amazing. Very tasteful. The citrus salmon had great flavor as well as the stuffed shrimp. The portion was a great size too so it was very filling. Our waitress was very polite and was on point with everything. The only downside was what they called the shrimp and lobster Mac n cheese. Unfortunately the shrimp were not fresh and you can tell they were the frozen precooked kind just tossed with the Mac and cheese. Im still currently looking for the lobster because this dish definitely didn't have it. It seemed like it was langostine instead and very overcooked as well. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to this dish. Besides the Mac and cheese everything else was very good and I would still come again but maybe order something else instead.

This place can't even do the bare minimum. Foods cold. The waiters here suck. Couldn't even bring us water. Good luck with this place.

Awesome food along with some delicious drinks. Big shoutout to our waiter, Mitchell who was totally awesome and kept us laughing . Food came out so fast .Love their piña colada's and the bartender was super cool. Peel n Eat Shrimp was so good . Just love the vibe here

We stopped on our way back to our hotel and were so happy with our decision. The food was great and the customer service was awesome and the atmosphere is very nice. Hailey was amazing so friendly and helpful! I ordered the teriyaki mahi sandwich based on her recommendation, and she did not disappoint. Hope to come back

Cajun Oak Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich
Ariana M.

The Cajun dry rub was a really good addition to the chicken! I would definitely order again. This location is so beautiful and has a very scenic and beautiful view out back. I didn't eat inside, I got my order to go and it was very quick and fresh.

Relaxing view

The seating was fast even though it was busy. The poke bowl was freshly made and sushi grade. The fried calimari was crunchy and not soggy. The environment is family friendly

Can I reserve for a large party for a Celebration of Life, or similar group event?

Yes, they have large group areas.

Do you offer any in-house catering for an event?

We do do not provide catering at this time

What is on the kids menu? I see all the options for adults but nothing for kid options.

They’re able to adjust any portion for kids so tinder’s, etc can be made in a size for children. They don’t specifically list a kids menu but are able to adjust for you.

Does it smell fishy? I'm with someone who cannot stand the smell of seafood (like raw shrimp, briny fish, etc) so I just want to make sure it smells okay.

Not in the slightest.

Do you have a children's menu?

Of course!

Grumpy's Biscuits

Grumpy's Biscuits

(20 reviews)

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more It is only fitting that I check out another breakfast/brunch place with the iconic American breakfast staple "biscuit" mentioned in their name. As for such locales within the Space Coast, this is the third one (off the top of my head) I have had the pleasure to dine in, right after "Oh" and "Twisted." So was Grumpy's Biscuits (which I will shorthand simply to Grumpy's for the remainder of this review) just another fine establishment to add to other fine breakfast estabishments here on the coast that shoots off rockets, or did they standout. I am happy to review that Grumpy's has enough subtlety to standout without smashing the competition. That is something I admire because I prefer options within harmony, Competition amongst competitors to improve one's self. Even though an address is provided, Grumpy's is located on Highland Ave., just north of the westbound part of Eau Gallie Blvd. within the EGAD. If it helps, it is right across the street from the EGAD Civic Center. First and foremost, the building Grumpy's is located in is an iconic landmard within the EGAD. Grumpy's shares the building with other businesses in which they occupy the southernmost business space, which is quite small with a small indoor eating area and a small outdoor patio with each table having individual umbrellas for shade or rain cover. It fits as Grumpy's is said in two phrases: "simple and trendy" and "cozy." The workers and owner are friendly and hospitable, and they assisted me in deciding on what to eat, which they have given each of their biscuits/sandwiches/etc. a female name. I chose "Lisa," a breakfast biscuit consisting of bacon, over easy egg, smoked gouda, mixed greens, and housemade balsamic glaze. Couple of notes about this amazing biscuit, the bacon were thick cut and candied. Truly amazing. And the balsamic glaze. Whatever their recipe is, it is amazing. I could definitely have that on many a meal. Yes, I know exactly how I wrote that! As for the coffee, I got an iced coffee which is premade and ready-to-serve. They use half-and-half and stevia in the raw. Ergo, the coffee was what I wanted. Finally, the restroom. Take note the "water closet" is outside in the hallway. Since the restaurant is small, it is a single-server. Fortunately, it was stocked and clean. There was also an "ambiance" of class, which is nice given the fact the restaurant is... well... small... and the restroom is probably shared with the other businesses, too. Ultimately, Grumpy's was an amazing initial visit and I look forward to visiting them again. Since this is the first and only time (so far) I have been here, I will give them four out of five stars. After a couple more visits, if they stay consistent, I will add their fifth star for consistency.

Now to be fair it was a to-go order so when I got to work it wasn't as fresh maybe as it should. Biscuit was good sized and tasty, a bit dry, sausage was very tasty and egg was half an omelette....not sure if there was cheese on it, maybe in the egg omelette and I just didn't see it or taste it. I would try it again, next time maybe add butter to the biscuit, a little less egg and cheese that is melted somewhere on it.

When I explained what I needed, she kindly helped me transition from phone conversation to an in person chat. I was fortunate enough to walk into this awesome bagel shop and not only fulfill the order but feel the stress melt away thanks to what is easily the best customer service I've gotten all year The bagels themselves were delicious and assorted ranging from Plane to raisin to blueberry varying kinds of melted cheeses and quality ingredients on the everything and everything asiago. Jerrica and Aaliyah greeted me and that everything I needed to purchase with exceeded expectations. It felt that they genuinely cared and were personable and amicable. This is the kind of customer service that keeps you coming back to support the business versus handing your money over to something random and faceless. What has greatly suffered however is the experience and ambiance. Don't get me wrong. The service also is still very good to excellent. The building design and decoration and paint looks and feels cold, industrial and unfriendly the floors look like unfinished concrete, the tables and wooden benches don't have a quality feel. It lacks character, charm and warmth. As much ch as I love the sandwiches and raquet fries and the service I just can't shake the stark industrial ambiance and feel. The outside feels a bit better but just marginally and it's just too darn hot to eat outside most of the year. Both old locations had charm and energy and a friendly flair about them. The ambiance is 2 stars but because the sandwiches are still great and service was good to great I'll still give four stars. Unfortunately I won't be coming by very often and won't choose it as a place to bring friends or employees or clients to for a bite and a drink or two. I hope an upgrade will be in the cards.

She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival and told to seat ourselves. Our waiter arrived promptly with menus and took our drink orders.
