I've given this place a handful of chances over the past year, and somehow every visit is worse than the last. Honestly, that level of consistency deserves recognition. I'd love to review the food, but I've never actually made it that far. The "bartenders" seem to operate under the impression that customers are an unfortunate side effect of working in a bar. I spent a decade behind the stick myself, so I understand bad shifts, shitty customers, being slammed, and wanting to throw a bar rag at someone. But these people appear genuinely offended that you had the audacity to walk in, sit down, and attempt to give them money. Management might want to consider a controlled burn followed by a complete rebuild. Seriously, if your resting facial expression says, "I fucking hate you and everything about this place," maybe hospitality isn't your calling. There are plenty of careers where interacting with humans is optional. And spare me the "restaurant business is tough" excuse. Sandbar manages to employ people who don't look like they're serving a prison sentence. Long Doggers somehow finds employees capable of making eye contact without conveying pure contempt. So apparently it can be done. At this point, I have no idea if the food here is amazing, terrible, or prepared by a Michelin-starred raccoon in the back. I'll probably never know, because I can't survive the first line of defense long enough to order it. Maybe management should stop worrying about getting people through the door and start asking why the people behind the bar seem so pissed off that they came. read more

Great food and great vibe! We parked in the back so we came in through the outside bar and just ended up sitting there. The bartender came around to give us menus and take our order. I noticed they had a Beyond Burger on the menu and asked if by chance they could sub that in the smash burger tacos and the chef happened to be standing right behind us so the bartender (our server) asked if he could make it happen and he said he was happy to accommodate. Well I was blown away by those tacos! We were so happy this friendly couple recommended that we come here. We were most definitely impressed! It seems like quite a popular spot for locals and it's no telling why. There was a live guitarist playing outside and a DJ inside. Not only was the food good, so was the entertainment. We had a good meal at Cadillac Cove and our waitress Jaime was AWESOME. She was friendly, attentive, and really helped make the experience enjoyable. I ordered the Pink Eldorado Margarita and it was really tasty. For food, I had the mac and cheese with fried chicken, and my husband ordered the surf and turf burger. Both dishes were good, but we both agreed the mac and cheese was the standout. The fried chicken on top really made the dish. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The only things that could have made the experience better were that our table was a little sticky and there was a slightly funky smell inside the restaurant. Aside from that, the service and food were great, and we appreciated Jaime taking such good care of us. read more

The server was nice, the food was good but they could have at least some music after the live band leaves.

We went in for a drink and a snack just after 6 pm. We missed happy hour, but the fish dip appetizer we shared with a glass of wine and a beer was very good. Service was excellent. It smelled great because the grill was smoking ribs that night. We will go back for those! read more

When I said that was wierd the manager snapped at me saying no it was not. I'm a local. I myself work in hospitality and would never treat anybody like this. What a HORRIBLE experience. We Ordered oysters (mushy), fish dinner and crab cake dinner plus drinks. We got our food which my crab cake was really good. I had ordered broccoli (double steamed) and collard greens. Our food was dropped off by a food runner who left when we were asking for hot sauce and he didn't hear. Waited for our waitress we never saw her so I found someone else. My broccoli was cold and raw. I wasn't able to eat it. We never saw our server again. We had to wave down other servers for boxes and our bill. I heard her tell another customer she was even working. Fries were pretty good and hot. Looking around at the clientle there were some definite locals with their pups on the patio. Fun outdoor tiki bar with big TVs. I happen to show up on a football Sunday. They have a band, lovely dog friendly crowd. Bartenders were pros. They are super busy but still give good service. 5 stars for good food in a tiki bar setting. Food is good. The sho nuff shrimp was fun and lightly breaded with a fun sauce. They are always welcoming -- even when suddenly come upon by a pub crawl. The chef always visits the tables to ensure you're happy with your meal. He takes pride in his work and it shows through. Really love the new menu!! I was brave and had snow crab on Sunday when it's on special (usually not recommended to have fish/seafood on specials as it can mean it's not fresh). But this was so good!!! Like, better than I've had at some places that specialize in it. They didn't give me gloves or wipes, so it was a little too messy, tbh. The server was awesome and friendly, but she could have been a little quicker with bringing out the food. We ordered the chili, and it took so long to get to us that it was cold by the time it arrived. Good flavor! But cold so we just boxed it and took it. Will still come back! One of our favorite spots to bike for lunch to in the area, and they do a great job picking entertainment.
