I wish I could say I had a positive experience and enjoyed the meal based on the positive reviews it gets. However, my experience was quite the opposite. I walked up around 5pm on a Tuesday, in which they were pretty slammed with Happy Hour guests and spring breakers (which i totally understand, it's going to be busy)... I was met with a sign out front that said "check-in". Of course I obliged. (I'm a rule follower and have worked in the food industry... and used to hate when customers would seat themselves). I waited awhile and no one noticed i was standing there or greeted me. I took it upon myself to finally just enter the facility to find someone that could help me to at least communicate what I needed to do to get a table. I caught the eye of a middle age man (not sure what his role was... i'm assuming manager) and he comes rumbling out asking what i needed and I answered with oh, it's just me. I wasn't sure what I needed to do to be put on a list, or.... he immediately cut me off in the most smart a** tone and said "well you walked right past the sign"... Firstly, i was flabbergasted that he took such a derogatory tone with me for no good reason. Secondly, in my head I'm thinking "what!!? You mean the sign in scribbled chicken scratch that says "check in" with no host stand present and no host for that matter tending to the front to manage new guests?" If this a**hole knew anything about quality customer service, he would have kept the nasty comments to himself , smacked a smile on his face and said "welcome! How can I help you?" It's pretty simple stuff. Apparently these days it's too much to ask for. The ownership of this company needs to get real and train their staff on customer service. This business will nosedive quickly if they can't get the basics down. Better service found elsewhere, dont waste your time. Oh and I didn't even bother staying after that remark, no one deserves to be spoken to like that. read more

Stopped in for the $10 lunch special, and for the price, it was solid. I ordered the single patty burger with Swiss cheese, which came with potato chips and a beverage. The burger itself was decent, but the patty-to-bun ratio was off. The bun was good quality, just way too big for the patty. I'd honestly rather see a smaller bun so the burger doesn't feel like it's hiding. On the plus side, the toppings were on point--just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and sliced tomato, which helped pull it together. My wife ordered the Swap Chicken Goofy Foot, which is their plant-based chicken substitute wrap. Her take? It was okay. Not bad, but not impressive either. It tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a meat-free chicken swap in a casual beachside spot--edible, simple, and forgettable. Too much other stuff in the wrap. It didn't wow her, but it also didn't offend. Would she order it again, probably not. That pretty much sums up the experience. No frills, simple, decent food, decent ambiance, and great service. The wait was minimal and the meals arrived quickly. Excellent service! This isn't the place you go for culinary surprises--it's the place you go when you want something easy, reasonably priced, and reliable near the beach. This same beer is on draft at The Mansion for $5. The onion rings were really good, and so was their ranch. It was right around 7, and it was pretty busy in person, so ordering takeout wasn't such a bad idea. Oh WOW these are some long dogs! If you like a good foot long, this is the place to find one. I got the patty melt dog and it was very very tasty. That said, the service seemed overwhelmed, our appetizer never came out before the main entrées, and I had to ask for the coleslaw that was supposed to be included. 10 year fan of Long Doggers. I usually get the shrimp or fish basket with fries and coleslaw. I visited last week after being away 4 months. The fried fish was not at all what I've come to expect. It was thick, dry, flavorless, tough. I checked it twice to make sure I had not accidentally been given chicken. The price had gone up to $19 for the 2 piece basket. I didn't finish it. I mentioned this visit to my son. Long Doggers is the first stop when he and his family visit. They were here 2 months ago and mentioned the same disappointment with the fish. Actually pleasantly surprised. Went for the ribs night. Father loves the ribs. We grabbed a table inside...a night fit but in the A/C. When I walked in with the parents we were accosted by a gentleman (loose term) asking me where we were going.....apparently, since we grabbed our table a waitlist had started but he was pretty rude. The food was good. Ribs came out a dad forgot to order them dry but he made it work. My wings were good but I wish they had removed all the feathers...a trend I am seeing at all wing places. The shrimp and grits mom ordered came out and the grits were cold....they refired them and all was ok in the end. The service and the atmosphere are amazing. The staff are really friendly, and the service is great. They check on you pretty often, and are great with refilling your drink. You MUST try the Florida Reuben, which has lightly fried fresh grouper, slaw, pineapple, and 1000 island dressing on a brioche bun- easily one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in a long, long time! Our table also ordered and devoured the Johnny Dog, the Mexican Eloté, the Shroom and Swiss dog, and the Hawaiian Burger. I met up with a girl friend and her two kids for lunch today and our server was great. They have a lot of local beers on tap, including Caribe pineapple cider.
