My family and I were on quick vacation and took the wrong turn going back to our Air bnb, we saw this cute restaurant and said we were gonna come back for dinner the following night and aren't we glad we did! Parking: they have their own lot but because we came at a busy time parking was tough. We found a spot though Service: 10/10! We should've made reservations but we didn't. When we originally put our name on the list they said 1.5 hrs but I think we waited 20-30 minutes for a seat. We had Ian as a server, he was great! The crab cake was ok, not my fav the oysters Rockefeller need a bit more season in the mix, and my mom and brother loved the calamari especially with their sauce. We had a fantastic meal at Boardwalk Bar & Grill. We started with the PEI Sand Dune oysters, which were incredibly fresh and delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. My husband ordered the steak frites and it was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. I went with the lobster and crab mac, which was rich and satisfying with huge chunks of both lobster and crab throughout. They definitely did not skimp on the seafood. Both of our meals were super filling and packed with flavor. I also had the Cucumber Breeze cocktail, which was refreshing, light, and absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a great beachside spot with excellent service, seafood, generous portions, and creative drinks, this place is definitely worth a visit. His description was so in depth I wanted to order that dish! I sat at the bar where Andrea & Sophia 2 bartenders waited on me, great service and awesome personalities! Unfortunately they were out of the braised short ribs, but Andrea recommended the Branzino! She did not steer me wrong. She also recommended a Sauvignon Blanc which paired perfectly with! It has taken me awhile to decide how I wanted to write this review. This is an old Wendy's converted into a very eclectic restaurant with outdoor seating and live music. My daughter and I went around 2:00 on Saturday afternoon and we were so happy they had Tapas. We got the pan fried olives with burrata (they opened the burrata, which made it even creamier than usual), truffle fries, of course and we told the server we wanted to share the pasta with the cremini mushrooms and cream sauce. The only disappointment was the server knew we wanted to share the pasta but she did not split it, nor did she give us an extra plate, so it was very cumbersome at the small table. Ian, the kid who takes the money was extremely attentive and polite. We would go back because of the food and because of him. They did an amazing job converting this fast food restaurant into a go to place for excellent food and ambiance. read more

Nice location with decent parking. Outside tables have an ocean view! We've had a dinner and a lunch here. Both times the food was very good although a bit pricey. The portions are fairly large and sharing would be doable for many of the options. We especially liked the crab cakes, and the New England clam chowder. Servers were well trained and friendly. This little beachside bar & grill is a hidden gem!! The service was amazing ( Bryant ) took very good care of us and all of our needs. He made sure to inform us that it was a scratch kitchen, and it was just that. Everything that we had was amazing !!We started with the humus and it was delicious. (We ate it to fast to get pictures) and then for our main course we shared a 24 ounce bone in ribeye along with an extra side of Rainbow carrots and a house salad which Bryant was able to add the panko crusted goat cheese too, the food prices were definitely on the high end but there wasn't a part of our experience that was lacking. It's nice when "You get what you pay for " stands true . We sat on the patio with the ocean in our site! The weather was perfect. The short rib was very tender and tasty and the wagyu beef was very good. The accompaniment of fries was probably not the best choice and were not that great. While it's always nice to get recommendations when ordering, I met all of my selections with an offer for something else that after a while I found annoying. Everything from my drink to the meal. Went for lunch on a beautiful day overlooking the water sat outside on patio. Great view!! Colin our waiter was so knowledgeable about the terrific drink menu and helped me choose the cucumber breeze. It was so refreshing. We usually give a place a second chance if something is off, but I have no desire to go back. The food was ok, but not good enough to overcome the very unaccommodating and rude hostess staff. They almost make you feel like a burden, even with a reservation. It feels like they want to seem busier than they are. The problem is that people have eyes. Please don't tell your patrons you are too busy to meet their needs when the restaurant is half empty, and your food isn't good enough to outweigh the negative vibe from your staff. I'm still contemplating if I wanna come back & try the hummus & calamari. You can't get the oyster Rockefeller w/o bacon, which means not made to order. Portions aren't worth the price. I had the burger and my wife had the Wagyu and both were wonderful. The only issue or recommendation I could make is do not go when it's cold out as the majority of the seating is outside and since they are forced to have an open large I had a great time at Boardwalk Bar & Grill overall, and the food and drinks were fantastic. I had the burger (amazing) and my wife the wagyu (just as amazing). The only little hiccup was that it was pretty chilly the night we visited. Because they've got this large sliding garage door open--since most of the seating is outdoors--some of that cold breeze blew right in and made the inside area a bit colder than we expected. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but just something to keep in mind if you're visiting on a chilly night. Other than that, it's a really fun spot! read more

Had a great experience dining here on the patio. We shared the truffle fries, steak bites, and the branzino which were all delicious! Our waiter made sure the food was brought out in the right order to make sure everything was fresh. For dessert we had chocolate cake with ice cream that was perfectly balanced. We really wanted to try Boardwalk after being told by others that the food was good. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing either for the price they were charging. Also they were out of lobster at 5pm... The server was fine, but the front hosts couldn't care less about you. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 to 1/2 full and we had a reservation for three. I'm sure they expected a busy night being the Saturday before Mother's Day, but why not respect the guest that has made a reservation and shown up for it. They walked us by three or four empty 2 top very small bar tables and tried to put us at one of the 2 tops in the corner. There were 3 people in our party. We were told we should be able to pull another bar chair over. Are you joking? We're out to have a nice Mother's Day meal and you want to put three people at a small bar table squeezed into the corner? I could almost understand if we did not have reservations but we did. Anyway, we asked if they had anything else and were told no and that they were going to be very busy. We walked back up front and asked again. They really didn't seem interested in us at all. We had decided we would probably just go somewhere else, then they asked if we would sit outside. Sure, we live in Florida, why wouldn't you ask us this before saying there were no other tables available? We were seated and were told they would just have to change somebody else's reservation. Yea right. It's not the customer's problem if you are overbooked or didn't think a party of three would like to sit at a table built for 2. The server and meal were fine after that. We did feel taken care of from that point on. We finished eating, the restaurant never filled up, the other tables near us remained empty our entire meal. We really enjoy trying different restaurants, but if you don't care about your clients why should they care about you and come back. Absolutely! It was a great price for lunchtime here during the week. Yes they are open Monday and Tuesday. Make sure you change that! They have draft beers on tap. They have a full bar and a beautiful patio to sit across from the ocean that you can walk to afterwards. The prices were very moderate at least during lunchtime they averaged about $20-$25 and the burger was fabulous. The people were really happy to be here. The service was spectacular. Atmosphere - you're getting a nicer ambiance with good decor. Definitely doesn't feel like it used to be a Wendy's, however it's not a big restaurant so seating feels a little tight and I think a couple less tables would have made difference. Service wise, Steven was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu that helped when making our decision about the food. Wait time was good and food came out at a reasonable time. A good menu variety, definitely had a lot of interesting choices that you're not gonna find at many other restaurants. Wagyu Steak and Fries - asked for medium rare and it came out slightly overcooked, but that preference aside, seasoned well and paired with a chimichurri that could have used more lemon. American double smash burger - my father had, said it was a good burger, nothing special or to rave about. Catch of the Day, Halibut served over couscous with beet purée. Surprisingly well done pairing with the flavor profile, aside from the halibut being a little bland the couscous was the star for me. Ended up finishing it on my mom's plate. Truffle lobster crab mac - good, but also nothing special about it that would make me reorder it. Felt like the lobster and crab meat drowned a little in the mac making it almost forgettable. But if you like just mac and cheese it's a good option. Burrata - remembered liking it, but nothing that really stood out. Lamb lolis - 9/10 definitely would order again, even as a main for myself as someone who doesn't eat large portions. Loved the side of pita and tzatziki, will always be a hit for me. Lambs were season very well, but again, a little overcooked. Oysters - my first time ever having oysters and I was pleasantly surprised. Although I feel like the sauces really make or break it, would reorder. Nothing mind blowing, but it is good food regardless and nothing was bad. The overall experience was enjoyable and can't talk bad about this place. The only thing stopping me from giving this more stars is the pricing. For what you're paying I feel like the food should better to make me wanna spend a lot. I can see how people would come here for a more luxury dining experience but the bar isn't high in this area either. Still, not a bad choice for a restaurant in Melbourne. This is our second time here and once again amazing! The food and service were superb. I always enjoy their handcrafted mixed drinks. last night, I had the shrimp scampi. It has a kick (spicy) to it so I loved it. The shrimp on it were very large and cooked perfectly. My husband had the filet. He said it was one of the best he has had in the area. Cooked perfectly and tender! We sat on the patio and the weather and view was beautiful. They do have indoor seating if you prefer. The patio does have heaters when needed. The manager (or someone acting as such, though he wore no name tag) insisted our friends finish their appetizer at the bar because it was ordered during happy hour. Even though they had also ordered additional items, we were required to wait. This was particularly disappointing given that nearly all the tables were empty -- it was 4:40 on a Wednesday. I've had wonderful experiences here. The drinks that they infuse are genuinely fresh and artisanal - real fruit and herb Infusions- no fake syrups. They don't use seed oils to fry!!! We arrived on time and were given a very small high top in the bar area. We asked for a table and were told the open tables were reserved . South Beach Miami prices facing parking lot. We enjoy it but they still have some kinks to work out. Beachgoers use their parking lot, thus we couldn't find a spot for awhile. (Yes we witnessed people taking their beach stuff to the beach after using their parking lot). We have also witnessed beach people using their restrooms (bare feet) so we had to wait since there is only one stall. They said reservations only & directed us to the bar (despite having lots of empty tables) at 4:15 in the afternoon. We are locals and enjoy it, but it is pricy. Food is decent but smaller portions. First of all I would always come to this beach. And I would see the construction and replacement of the old building. The ambiance is nice, the service is great, and the food was great as well. I met a nice couple who traveled from out of town. They said the wings were great but I had the american wagyu steak and fries with a key lime Martini it wasss sooo good. The bartender explained they cut their steaks in house and I explained my experience with martinis in the past. This one was perfect. I always see people ordering espresso martins, I think the lady next to me ordered that. Maybe in the future I'll give it another try. You can sit outside or inside. It's nice and I came in gym clothes and I wasn't made to feel unwanted. I saw allot of diversity inside. Family oriented. On the beach. A nice date night. It is pricey but I think it was worth it.
