Steak and Frites
Vicki G.

We had a fantastic meal at Boardwalk Bar & Grill. We started with the PEI Sand Dune oysters, which were incredibly fresh and delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. My husband ordered the steak frites and it was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. I went with the lobster and crab mac, which was rich and satisfying with huge chunks of both lobster and crab throughout. They definitely did not skimp on the seafood. Both of our meals were super filling and packed with flavor. I also had the Cucumber Breeze cocktail, which was refreshing, light, and absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a great beachside spot with excellent service, seafood, generous portions, and creative drinks, this place is definitely worth a visit. If we were locals we would absolutely be back.

Mom's dirty little secret cocktail

Stopped in for drinks and an appetizer. I chose the "mom's dirty little secret" espresso martini and my partner chose the "I'm am your father". Both cocktails were very good. We ended up ordering a 2nd round. We also had the smoked fish dip. The view of the beach made this place even better. 10/10 would recommend.

From the delicious daily cocktail, through burrata & smoked fish dip appetizer to the halibut fish of day: PERFECT! Great server sommelier, worth making reservations time & time again!

In town for a 2 day conference and I needed to get out of the hotel. WOW! From the moment I stepped in, greeted by the host who sold me on the short ribs. His description was so in depth I wanted to order that dish! I sat at the bar where Andrea & Sophia 2 bartenders waited on me, great service and awesome personalities! Unfortunately they were out of the braised short ribs, but Andrea recommended the Branzino! She did not steer me wrong. She also recommended a Sauvignon Blanc which paired perfectly with! If you are looking for a casual dining feel with an elevated menu, drinks, and great hospitality this is the place to visit. I will definitely be back!

Tapas menu

It has taken me awhile to decide how I wanted to write this review. This is an old Wendy's converted into a very eclectic restaurant with outdoor seating and live music. My daughter and I went around 2:00 on Saturday afternoon and we were so happy they had Tapas. We got the pan fried olives with burrata (they opened the burrata, which made it even creamier than usual), truffle fries, of course and we told the server we wanted to share the pasta with the cremini mushrooms and cream sauce. The only disappointment was the server knew we wanted to share the pasta but she did not split it, nor did she give us an extra plate, so it was very cumbersome at the small table. Ian, the kid who takes the money was extremely attentive and polite. We would go back because of the food and because of him. They did an amazing job converting this fast food restaurant into a go to place for excellent food and ambiance.

Nice location with decent parking. Outside tables have an ocean view! We've had a dinner and a lunch here. Both times the food was very good although a bit pricey. The portions are fairly large and sharing would be doable for many of the options. We especially liked the crab cakes, and the New England clam chowder. Servers were well trained and friendly. We are a bit elderly and found the high chairs on the patio a bit difficult to navigate. Will ask for regular height chairs and tables next time.

This little beachside bar & grill is a hidden gem!! The service was amazing ( Bryant ) took very good care of us and all of our needs. He made sure to inform us that it was a scratch kitchen, and it was just that. Everything that we had was amazing !!We started with the humus and it was delicious. (We ate it to fast to get pictures) and then for our main course we shared a 24 ounce bone in ribeye along with an extra side of Rainbow carrots and a house salad which Bryant was able to add the panko crusted goat cheese too, the food prices were definitely on the high end but there wasn't a part of our experience that was lacking. It's nice when "You get what you pay for " stands true . We sat on the patio with the ocean in our site! The weather was perfect. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quality experience.

You know what's important to me ? A bar seat. The type of bar chair. 10/10 - a paddled bar seat with back and arm support. The bar seats Boardwalk Bar and Grill = 8/10 I was worried it would be busy on an early Saturday, 4pm but plenty of parking at both the bar, the lot, and patio seats (few booths inside too) Lavender haze cocktail was beautiful and lovely sweet sour flavor Plenty of wine in the menu, few basic beers on tap But really I came for the view. There are an unimpressive number of bars with a beach view around here.

A nice, more upscale restaurant in the area with a nice patio. We enjoyed the fish dip for an appetizer which tasted really good. The short rib was very tender and tasty and the wagyu beef was very good. The accompaniment of fries was probably not the best choice and were not that great. While it's always nice to get recommendations when ordering, I met all of my selections with an offer for something else that after a while I found annoying. Everything from my drink to the meal. It was birthday dinner and after a while I was a bit annoyed. It was not the experience I expected, but a nice place to try out if your in the area.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. In the true vibe of speakeasy, this is a hidden gem.

You find the secret book, pay the $5 membership fee listen to the slightly too long intro pitch and…read morethe book shelf opens, admitting you to the speakeasy. It was crowded. It was elegant. The cocktails were exceptional. I asked for classic cocktails that weren't in the menu. They delivered. Love the place. Why Four stars? Service was three bears. The waiter with the blonde mop of hair is very nice but inexperienced. Too on top of customers when they arrive. He needs to give a menu and give a few minutes for guests to peruse it. The head bartender is brilliant. Talent without hospitality, though, is a craft cocktail fail. Kindness counts. The vibe was colder than the cocktails. I hope it improves on future visits. The blonde bartender in the grey dress was just right. Professional, attentive, and kind. This is easily a six star speak. When you are serving? You are "on." Be as excellent and calm of a person as you are outstanding at your craft.
