Turns out she comes from Ponce Inlet, FL where my family homesteaded in 1900. Kaili worked for one of the local charter fishing outfits there. Not only did Kaili help me w/ my plan, but she vacuum sealed the fish I was taking and told me where to go to pick up dry ice. As if she wasn't kind enough already, she smuggled in a frozen package of their homemade conch fritters for free. My dad and I raved about the fish!!! The gentleman behind the meat counter (that was today, Friday, September 26 at about 12:30 PM) he was absolutely the best. He gave me a pound and a half breaking up a bag and taking out all the loose little bits so I didn't wind up with just shells. That was ao kind! It's clean, everyone is very friendly, it can get busy but they take it all in stride. If I could afford to do all my grocery shopping here, I would. It's always pleasant to walk into, it smells nice, the entrance is a little funky but that's just the design. People don't put their baskets up so it can block the entrance. That's not the store's fault and they do mind them often so it's not a permanent problem. I've had only one bad experience and it was in the bakery a few years ago. Everybody else has been so accommodating! I've been to their other stores in and around South Florida. They're all nice and clean but honestly, this is my favorite store hands-down. Don't come talking to me about Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, it's The Fresh Market for me!
