Wassis does BBQ on Fridays. Hands down the biggest hidden gem in the US. We are travelling foodies and love good BBQ. This hits differently. It is currently all to go orders, and worth the wait and every penny to get a plate. It's better than Texas brisket and where else can you go to get Berkshire sliced.pork? And Lord, that Pork Belly is crazy good. All of the BBQ, buns, and sides are homemade. This is a one of a kind place, with creative weekly specials. We have been coming to Wassi's for years to purchase all of our meats and outdoor kitchen needs. The BBQ gives us one more reason to love Wassi's. read more

The owner, who should have someone else run it due to her such horrifying customer service had no respect for people and only her business in that plaza. The meats, sides and seasonings are ridiculously overly priced and I wouldn't honestly feed them to my dogs since I found a worm in my meet. Not once but twice, I don't know if she's paying the health inspectors or what. But she thinks she owns the plaza also, such an entitled see you next Tuesday. She doesn't care who she's rude to, since she knows she'll just keep getting customers anyway. Such poor poor ownership and can't believe how she treats customers once she's not "getting her way". Janice, you should take a lesson on customer service and common courtesy towards paying customers who have spent over hundreds of dollars there. Wassi's remains my number one place to buy quality meats. Yes they are more expensive than a normal grocery store but you get what you pay for. They truly stand behind their products. We love going on Saturdays to sample various things from the Big Green Egg. It's a good time to ask questions about their products. Everyone is always so helpful. I ordered a Turkey Breast Meal for Thanksgiving. I picked it up on Wednesday morning right when they opened. It came with a smoked turkey breast, a half pan of stuffing, a half pan of sweet potato souffle, dinner rolls, half pan of green bean casserole along with gravy and a pint of cranberry orange relish. Everything came with directions on how to reheat. The turkey breast was vacuum sealed and we used a sous vide method (as recommended by the store) to reheat the turkey. The meal was delicious. The turkey in particular was flavorful and better than we could have done ourselves. The meal said it feeds 4-6 people and we have plenty of leftovers. The sweet potatoes were like dessert they were so good and they came lightly dusted with brown sugar and nuts. The green bean casserole was topped with crispy onions and had mushrooms cooked in. We will order again. The food was so good and our meal came together in less than 2 hours with the reheating process. It was all packaged well and pick up was convenient as you could pick up one or two days prior to the holiday. I recommend bring a bag or box to carry it out in as it is alot of food to walk away with. The staff was amazing and well organized for the distribution of these meals however I say go early for pick up as the line was out to the street when I walked out with mine. The best meat market I've ever been to, hands down. The quality is impeccable, and the selection is all you could want, from chicken legs to Japanese Wagyu. Nice selection of knives, BBQ sauces, spices, BGE accessories, etc. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, mostly because this place is slammed most of the time and shares space with other stores/restaurants in the strip mall. I'm an hour away, so try to get there just before opening to secure a spot. Staff are always helpful, service is efficient, and owners are lovely. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit and shop. read more

Actually cooking a prime rib for Christmas I purchased from Wassi's. Their high quality meat selection is unmatched on the Space Coast.

If you are a person of color this is a warning, you will be stared at like an alien for even walking into the store. No one will greet you, no one will ask if you need help, or make any recommendations. You will clearly see people getting treated differently based on how they look and I will say that honestly and bluntly because I'm from New York. Be cautious if you just wanna have a regular day of shopping. Really wanted to give this place business. Sadly the atmosphere killed it. But hey other than that nice place! read more

First off, they're open six days a week with generous hours - many butchers don't keep these hours anymore. In their 30+ plus years in existence, they've learned well what their customers want. They offer incredible meats and I'm not talking run-of-the mill stuff... exquisite variety, styles, types, not to mention incredible cuts. They offer domestic, Aussie and Japanese wagyu beef! USDA prime dry aged meats! Home-made sausages and pork! And not only that, but they can help you both get the grills (in stock) you need and/or give you all the advice you need to make your grilling, smoking and/or BBQ the best it can be. Not only that, but they offer a vast array of rubs, seasonings, utensils... you name it. I'm aghast at this place. Wassi's Meat Market is located in a small shopping plaza that has definitely seen better days. In fact, when I pulled into this shopping plaza and saw Wassi's Meat Market, I had to wonder if the place was still in business. There was no.open sign or anything else and honestly, from the outside, Wassi's Meat Market gives no true indication what it does. Once you walk inside, you will be more than pleasantly surprised. Wassi's Meat Market is by no means a large place, but they have a lot of great items inside and it is pleasantly laid out. As the name would imply, Wassi's Meat Market offers a nice selection of meat. This selection includes USDA Prime and Wagyu. I ended up picking up a USDA Prime tri-tip for about eleven dollars a pound. In addition to selling Meat, Wassi's Meat Market sells spices and also sells items like the Big Green Egg, outdoor pizza ovens and the like. The service here was exceptional. They truly understand the term customer service. I would definitely recommend Wassi's Meat Market and give it five stars. read more

I have lived in the area since 1978 and Wassi's has been around for more than 30 years but up until this week our paths never crossed. Were it not for a gift card I got for Christmas we very well may never have met. :) The first thing I noticed was how spotlessly clean the place was. Well-lit and nicely set up. The staff, although young, was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. I browsed a while and finally said I was ready. I started off with a pound of in-house made Italian sausages and 3 large and thick T-bones. Figuring that killed my $100 gift card I asked for the total and was surprised on how much was left on it. I added 3 large and thick filet mignons, grabbed a package of in-house-made macaroni salad and headed to the checkout. The girl there told me I had $12+ left on the card and suggested the daily special of 3 stuffed (very thick) pork chops ... 3 for $12. When all was said and done I had 75 cents left on the card so I guess I need to make a trip back ;). All kinds of condiments, side dishes, spices and rubs and more. They are also one the state's largest Big Green Egg retailers and even offer cooking classes! Everyone treated me like I was special and they had no problem wrapping each of the steaks and chops separately in butcher paper. I will be back! read more

Just stared into the display cases did you start ordering random stuff. The Limited staff here is very good and friendly. Let's forget about the products. This is a butcher shop correct? I asked them to cut a piece of meat for me and was informed they don't do that without a pre order. So I walk into a butcher shop expecting to buy 50- 100$ worth of meat. There are zero customers and 5 employees plus the ones in the back. I wanted a Boston butt a few racks of ribs and a sliced London broil. Apparently that last one was just too much to ask of a BUTCHER? I was told the store is so small they can't have that kind of machinery (a slicer?). Now I have been in a Manhattan butcher shop the size of a closet and never was told such a goofy tale. I find it hard to believe that and empty so called butcher shop with no customers can't cut a piece of meat. Besides the fact that any decent butcher should be able to slice meat with a damn knife.
