Love this place for special events and group dinners! I've been here twice - once for a work event and once for my significant other's birthday dinner. I got to enjoy making Asian and Italian cuisines and I AM NOT a great cook at all. The team is great and very helpful, so you don't have to be stressed out if you make a mistake. If you dont cook much or are a home ched like me. This is a great experience. You arrive with your favorite bottle of wine and are given a station and recipes and ingredients. The instructor is very thorough and helpful in making you comfortable with the process, the tools, and the appliance. Today we cooked a delicious pork roast marinated in bourbon teriyaki and Maple bourbon infused sweet potatoes. It was so fun and after everyone made all their dishes we sat together and shared what we cooked. It was a true feast. We will definately be back to try another class. read more

Probably one of the best experiences I've had in a while and I'd highly recommend it for people who love good food and experiencing new culinary delights....The staff is amazing and many are professionally trained....Many thanks to Katie a graduate of Johnson and Wales in Providence RI. The kitchen set up was amazing and with only one stove and oven, all the work stations were prepped with all the ingredients, utensils and kitchen tools necessary to complete the recipes...Last night the tapas created were outstanding and I came away with many new recipes to try with my friends....My bride and I happily made albondigas in a simple roasted tomato,red peppers garlic and olive oil purée, along with a garlic chili sautéed mushrooms.....A good time was had by all and no one cut or burned themselves....Looking forward to our next experience read more

If you are looking for a unique date night in Melbourne this is the place to come! My husband and I did the valentine's day one and it was amazing. The recipes were to die for. There are multiple groups that each get two recipes to make. They all come out around the same time and you sit down as a group and eat family style. At the end you will get electronic copies of the recipes to make at home! We've made a few of them already. Only problem is they are so good that classes book up two months ahead of time. So make sure to plan in advance! It is BYOB but she has wine and beer glasses and a small wine fridge to keep it cold while you're cooking. read more

I signed up for this cooking class for a date night. I was very surprised by what I signed up for. This was very different than your traditional cooking class. But also way funner! Without giving too much away... I learned how to cook a dish I had never eaten and loved it, met some awesome people at the table, and the hospitality was amazing . The owner really loves what she does and it shows! She puts her heart in every interaction and makes sure not only the food is on point but that everyone has a great time. We will definitely be back! What an amazing experience I had this evening with my best friend at the gathering table in downtown Melbourne. Tonight's theme was Mexican and we had an amazing menu from shrimp cocktail two homemade tortillas Carne Asada enchilada casserole and Margarita cheesecake shooters that my girlfriend and I were responsible for... Absolutely loved the idea! Found this when searching for cooking classes on line; I'm always seeking fun things to do. My friend and I attended the Create Your Own Sushi class and had a wonderful time. We not only made a great but made some new friends as well. Carrie is a wonderful instructor; was interactive but not bossy like some chefs can be. Best of all, no need to wash dishes! I did clean my area as we went along so that the clean up wouldn't be that bad but still...no dirty dishes to worry about during or after dinner. I have already decided that I will be attending the Mexican dinner class for Cinco De Mayo. I'll be bringing sangria for my beverage. read more

An adorable place and so much fun!! Plus we all made delicious food and then we had a dinner party. I'm telling everyone I know.

I organized a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and two other gentlemen who are friends of ours. There were ten of us all together. We got to pick out the menu we wanted and Carrie supplemented it with another appetizer and fry bread (yummy!). Eight of us cooked, leaving one cheerleader, and one official photographer who documented the evening. What fun we had! The food was amazing, not difficult to prepare, and the teamwork made it all that much more fun. We ate until we couldn't hold another bite! It was money well-spent, and an evening that will go down in the memory book as a wonderful time for sure. Thank you Carrie and Lara for doing all those dishes!! read more

I invited my family to The Gathering Table as part of their Christmas present on the night that everyone arrived in town. We had fun cooking, sipping beer and wine, talking and eating all the nice food we had prepared. We enjoyed getting to know two others who were present that night as well. I highly recommend The Gathering Table for a fun and enjoyable evening as a couple or as a group. I knew this would be fun as my husband and I enjoyed an evening there late summer 2018. Foodies prepare to be impressed! I've always wanted to improve my cooking skills without a laborious or instructional class - and this experience was incredible. The menu that Carrie laid out was extensive... it had a Mexican theme which sounded ok - but it turned out to be the most gourmet and authentic, delicious food ever! Our group was divided into smaller stations - which is great because the kitchen is not humongous - each with a recipe for a few items which all come together so eloquently.
