It was a great tasting of a vineyard in California. A month or so later we went to another tasting that also was quite good. Then, last week we went to another with friends. This time we noticed on the email they explained how to park for free(we never knew this, always grabbed street parking). So the hook up in the parking ramp was nice. We walked into the Gourmetphile to a group of happy people ready to try some wines. We grabbed our seats by our friends and got ready. The spokesman for the company had some words, explaining the Gil family vineyard and its different wines. It's located in Spain and is between a couple of the more famous wine valleys there. Then we were off to the wines. They were quite good. What was debatably even better were the dishes that the owner provide for each wine. Different meats, cheeses and jams. Every dish was designed for that specific wine to match with. It's a few dollars for a tasting here, but when you know it almost good wines, and excellent food, it's worth it. We left with a bottles of wine so obviously these were good. And we look forward to the next one.

First of all, the amount of people is limited, making it an almost one on one experience with the person introducing the wines. Allowing us to listen clearly to their information and stories about the wines and wineries and easy to ask questions too. Not only do they know their wines, but they know very well what to pair with them. This was not a random charcuterie plate on the side, they paired each wine with a specific bite/ dish and explained why exactly they chose that an how it would compliment the wine. And, honestly, it all worked harmoniously. At the end of the tasting we were able to buy bottles, and also look at their shop front which has so many delicious cheeses, meats and more, plus, of course, wine to bring home and recreate these tastings experiences at home with your friends, family, or date. We finished at 9:30pm and felt perfectly satisfied. The next morning my wife and I both noticed no reflux. We first visited City Oyster, they were all so friendly but not only that you get to a plate of kale salad, coconut shrimp and clam linguine. Next stop only was right next door to the Buddha Sky Bar. I have always walked past this restaurant just never walked in.. And it was BEAUTIFUL it was a place that I would go to on a "first date" type of night. The hospitality here was INCREDIBLE so sweet, fun, and always smiling. The server we had was Pat she was so nice. They already had their edamame with truffle oil and sea salt on the table, then came out with sake for us to try. This was my first time trying sake (I don't think ill be having it again) haha. But next was their Pineapple Fried Rice I RECOMMEND IT, so amazing,. Finally the Fire Roll, it looked so fishy I don't normally try sushi with raw fish on the top, however this time I did, and I didn't taste the fishy taste at all. it was PERFECT. BUT it worked we tried white, red, and sparkling wine with a specific type of popcorn flavor that paired well with the wine. Denise knew exactly what she was talking about on each specific wine. We then had a quick stop at The Colony Hotel and Denise told us about the history of Delray Beach, and how this is the only hotel that still has a man working the elevators. Continuing on we ended up at 50 Ocean they served us the Sea Devils & Prosecco. We left and walked to Pizza Rustica, trying their S'Mores Pizza was to die for!!! Granted they may not always ask, but please just come prepared- or wait in the car while someone with ID goes in... because it's annoying for us other shoppers to watch you throw a pointless hissy fit like a toddler and hold up the line because you didn't come prepared. I actually have to give total wine a 6th bonus star for being strict about this too, it shows as company they have a strong sense of integrity, and that they take care to make sure their employees are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable in more than just the product sold, but the laws regarding their sale.
