We had a party of seven, and Tommy and Tom took the time to help us choose several wines that were perfect for our group. What really stood out though, wasn't just the wine. It was the atmosphere. Throughout the evening, the place filled up with regulars who were greeted like old friends, and it was easy to see why they keep coming back. The owners make everyone feel welcome, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth. If you're looking for a comfortable, approachable place with great wine, great people, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more glass, you'll probably love it as much as we did.

The beer selection is less than half the store, but still offers a selection like nowhere else I've ever been. They have some captain Lawrence beers I haven't seen outside of New York, as well as more beers from my old home state of Michigan.... I really can't believe it took me this long to discover this place... but now that I have I'm a customer for life! Finding bourbon barrel aged dark beers hasn't been as easy since I moved to Florida/ they just are not as popular here. I tried a lot of places and this is the only place that had any... and I'm grateful because it's my "not so secret" secret ingredient in my chili that I make whenever there's a hurricane... it's become a weird tradition. So if you ever want something unique or hard to find, try total wine because they have everything... and their website is very handy if you want check if they have something specific before you head over.... You can even see what aisle it's in! Awesome! And a note to all customers: please Just bring your ID, even if you are 60, if they ask for ID, and you don't have it, they cannot sell to you no matter how old you are or how old you look. it's the law. It's that simple. A manager can not change the law for you.... Law is not the same as "store policy" either, they literally cannot sell to you without proper ID. Granted they may not always ask, but please just come prepared- or wait in the car while someone with ID goes in... because it's annoying for us other shoppers to watch you throw a pointless hissy fit like a toddler and hold up the line because you didn't come prepared. I actually have to give total wine a 6th bonus star for being strict about this too, it shows as company they have a strong sense of integrity, and that they take care to make sure their employees are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable in more than just the product sold, but the laws regarding their sale. They have a lot of vendors offering a good selection of food and wines. The serving sizes were pretty good, and the only problem was filling up before getting to each table. This event is not usually very crowded, although a few of the tables had lines. Fortunately the lines went quickly. There were a few places to sit but it would have been nice to have more. It's hard to eat with a plate in one hand and a drink in the other. People who found a table or a bench were reluctant to give it up. I like the plaza where they hold this event. The lighting is good, there are beautiful plantings, and you have a nice view of the lake. They had a small stage set up with good music. It's a fun event that we look forward to every year. The Good; Plenty of food and wine. Not terribly crowded. Good location. The Bad: Needed more places to sit. Many of the food and wine festivals have vendors that run our of food and clear their tables about half way through the event. This one had plenty to eat and drink until the end.
