Yesterday I went to Star Liquors II Liquor store, located…read more 8983 Okeechobee Blvd #218 I was checking my Florida Lottery Tickets at the portable scanner in the store - however it was not working - it was flickering, similar to what happens when there is a technical problem with a computer - I brought this to the attention of the store and the person insisted it was working and refused to check my ticket numbers at the cashier unless I was purchasing liquor - I know stores get compensated for selling lottery tickets - but unless you are buying liquor at the store the cashier will not check your ticket numbers - this has happened several times - but it was not clear until yesterday-the only way the cashier would check tickets is if you too was buying liquor - regardless of the scanner working or not - I too contacted the Florida lottery commission for policy regulations concerning stores having scanners and process when scanners are not working Poor customer service
