One of the stores where you can find some good scores is Inlet Liquors. You may say to yourself, a liquor store is just a liquor store where you buy a handle of Jack and a case of Bud Light to get hammered with your friends while watching football before stumbling to the strip club. Not true! Finding the right liquor store means finding a place where you can interact with the clerks who have actual knowledge on the type of spirit you want and recommend something you didn't know existed or plan to purchase. Inlet has been the only spot where I have seen a bottle of Michter's Small Batch Bourbon 10 Year -- rare if you know about what I'm discussing. Inlet had a display of newly and limited released Full Proof 1792 bourbon for a good price. Inlet had a bottle of Straight Rye 10 Year by Whistlepig. I found a bottle of Michter's American Whiskey that I hadn't found elsewhere outside of Miami. There was a distillery I hadn't heard of yet called Barrell that apparently makes some good eyes, which I will check out soon. With respect to whiskey they seem to shine when it comes to finding some bottles that are hard to locate. Granted I discovered a couple of other stores nearby that do too; however, what separates Inlet is thar I had a clerk who was engaging. That went a long way with me. If you live in West Palm by Okeechobee Boulevard, check out Inlet. A great spot to grab spirits and discover some stuff you weren't expecting.

The Inlet Liquor 2 on Okeechobee and Jog needs to be better managed. After being verbally assaulted by a female employee on Thursday, which I've actually heard her act for several months, but until she literally pointed at me and made a remark, I kept to myself because I take the higher road. But after being verbally and almost physically attacked today by the shorter male employee, after I left the establishment, because he told me I was banned because the day before I asked his female employee "what the **** did you say?" after she called everyone in the store "stupid ", then pointed at me and said "your stupid". I believe she was intoxicated and has been several times that I have been in the store. I think the third employee may be her spouse. Before her rampage yesterday, he stated "I thought you were staying in the back?", which caused me to check my back, not knowing what he wanted contained. It was the dark haired employee and that is when she started her rampage, I wonder if she was even on the clock. If anyone asks why I went back on Friday, after the dark haired woman treated me that way Thursday, I'll tell you why; I have been a respectful, paying customer for several months and it is convenient. She doesn't concern me, hence my return Friday. But what does concern me is the male employee chasing after women in the parking lot, even after he made "his point".

With a large condominium development currently under construction directly across the street, it looks like the store will have plenty of built in customers soon. Trader Joe's traces its roots back to 1967 when founder Joe Coulombe opened the first location in Pasadena, California.. He embraced the tropical Tiki aesthetic that was popular during the 1950s and 1960s, giving the stores their distinctive tropical theme. Since 1979, Trader Joe's has been owned by the German Albrecht family, who also own the Aldi grocery chain. I try to visit Trader Joe's every couple of weeks. I could never do all of my grocery shopping here, but there are certain products I always make a point to stock up on. My favorites include 21 Seasoning Salute, Honey Walnut Shrimp, their inexpensive fresh flowers, chocolate croissants, seasonal candles, cookies, beauty dupes, and the $1 greeting cards. One of the best parts of shopping here is discovering new items, and on this visit I found their uncured ham and Swiss croissants for a quick meal or snack. I especially love Trader Joe's for its seasonal offerings. There is always a new limited time snack, dessert, or pantry item to try. I always read the Fearless Flyer and follow several Trader Joe's Instagram accounts to keep up with the latest releases and see what's worth adding to my cart. One detail I always enjoy is the artwork unique to each store. Every Trader Joe's features murals inspired by its local community, and this location includes a manatee as a nod to the nearby Manatee Lagoon, along with other scenes from the West Palm Beach area. Trader Joe's has made me a loyal customer with my favorite staple items along with a few of those one-of-a-kind cult favorites that they are famous for. I always enjoy that there is something new to discover and that the service is always helpful and friendly.

Publix is an amazing place to go shopping and Florida is lucky to have them here. Easy access off and on Hyperluxo and there is plenty of parking in the lot. This store has big entrance and currently there are people in the entrance taking and sanitizing the carts. The store is very big and bright and the isles are very spacious. There are big signs above the entrance to the isles clearly telling you what's in the isle. Honestly, it was easier to navigate here then some markets i regularly shop at. The team here is very friendly and helpful. Everyone who has ever assisted me did it with a smile. Team members have also offered to go to the isle and get the product I was asking about. The customer service here is amazing! The deli counter is huge and the people here are terrific. The counter is big, and they also have a sandwich and hot food area. Dairy and meat, and fish counters are big and easy to navigate. I like the idea that they have a very comprehensive supply of wine and beer. We don't have the wine store in our supermarkets in New York, it's a nice touch. Check out is always a snap and I love how they always have a bagger to help. The really nice touch is how they ALWAYS ask me if I would like someone to bring my groceries to the car. (I guess being a senior citizen has its advantages. They also have an amazing bakery with a very complete selection of fresh cakes, breads, classic items. Kudos to Publix and their management team for creating a great shopping experience for their clientele.

The other day I so a progresso chicken broth for $2.79. the next day they had a BOGO but they raised the price first and when you raise the prices that really a BOGO or is that b*******? So they raised the price of $3.88 and then you got the BOGO. Is it illegal I doubt it but there's no competition with only one Winn-Dixie in the area. They even closed the Winn-Dixie on jog just north of palmetto Park road and that one had a kosher butcher kosher deli and a kosher bakery and every time I was in it it was always busy. I don't buy kosher food but I like the deli department and sometimes the produce is good and their meat department is far better than what Publix has. When I think about eating steak I never think about going to Publix because it just isn't that good. So yesterday I was looking to get some olive oil and the 32 oz had a BOGO for 25.99 but the 68 Oz not on a BOGO was $26.99 which is actually a penny of an ounce than the great BOGO they offered. So just out of curiosity I went on Amazon to see how much the 68 Oz would be and it was $18.99 and if you set up a recurring order you could take 25% off and there was another deal also that made a little lower I think it came out to $13.48. I hope the Winn-Dixie on Jog and Hypoluxo stays and that may be the only one that's left so it probably won't stay. If they go I will miss the meat department because they always run decent sales. Last Thanksgiving no two Thanksgiving ago I put a rib roast because I walked in there and there was one rib roast in the corner that looks like it was super prime with great marbling this is in Winn-Dixie. And it was $4.99 or maybe $5.99 per pound. It should have been $20 a pound for that quality of roast. I didn't feel like making a roast so I cut them into rib steaks and they were magnificent. Publix also had a rib roast which was I think $2 more and it was garbage with no marbling. That's what you get away with when there's no competition all that's left now is that one store on Hypoluxo and jog although I understand that a BJ's supermarket is going to open up in the location where the Winn-Dixie was on Atlantic and Military. I used to think Publix is only good for bogos but you can't even trust bogos anymore not from them and maybe all the supermarkets are doing it who knows.
