Excellent quality fast service! Priced at market rate and very fresh. There was a line of customers but not a long wait time. read more

This retail outlet is more like a wholesale outlet. The quality of everything they sell is excellent. And their prices are insanely low for the quality. They have a huge selection of every protein known to man. From fish, seafood, every type of meat, and some specialty items, this is the place. Since they are fish mongers, prepare for that smell when you walk in. That just means everything is fresh. Also, bring cash, besides a check, cash is all they take. I think they have an ATM, but bring cash just in case. This is a completely different experience but worth the quality and price. And they have a giant chalk board with their offerings and prices. They are definitely one of those places where you come in for one thing and leave with a bag full of fresh goodies. I don't think I have ever spent less than $100. Worth it! Good job team. read more

Visiting the area and I needed seafood to cook for dinner. Found this place and took a shot. From the moment I walked in -the service was amazing. I had a ton of questions since I was new and the level of patience was amazing. The quality of the lobster and shrimp are top notch and very fresh. We took the managers recommendation and got the crab cakes.!! And let me tell YOUUU -I can't say enough about how amazing they were. If you're in the area. We highly recommend this spot. read more

Great team, great service, friendly, fast, good selection, they know your name when you walk in and greet you with a smile. We go there for various seafood items, just for dinner and or if we need food to cook for large parties! Easy to call ahead and they will have your order ready. read more

Stopped in today, first time in the store, purchased the scallops and oysters. Oh my, the scallops were nice size and delicious! On to the oysters tomorrow. read more

Been a few times, the place never looks clean. No excuse for that. You cannot see the fish before you but it. 0 ambiance or friendliness.

First of all the service is outstanding! I've only bought seafood and I can tell you it is fresh and reasonably priced! They will even steam them or crack them if you need. Now that I've written this I have to go over there and get crab claws, read more

The clams are hit or miss. This is the second batch That I have gotten that smell like ammonia . I steamed them to prepare for clam chowder. I will be dumping the chowder along with the clams. I should have returned them after opening the bag. Ask to smell them before you leave the store.I will never return there again. read more

This place has so many options to choose from, and everything we purchased was super fresh. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and were well taken care of from that point on. Felt like I found a place people Only find out by word of mouth. This place clearly puts quality above the rest because my whole red snapper (easily 3 pounds) looked like it was swimming right before I got there , they have a bigger selection than any grocery store and I'll say probably more than other fisheries in the area too. You could probably try something new once a week for a year and still have something you haven't tried. Last but not least when you're in the waiting room it feels like ur at ur local dock waiting for the boats to come in great place just good vibes with good people all looking for good seafood 10/10 highly recommend read more

Have gone here several times and enjoyed what I bought. Today was a total disappointment. I bought 2 pounds of Nee England steamers that cost over $20. I get them home. They stink and only 4 are alive. I also bought Red Royal shrimp. Coming from Fl I thought they would be fresh, but they were frozen. Won't be going back. read more

Got to test out my knife skills with making Salmon & Tuna Sashimi for the first time at home with the best ingredients I could find at Direct Seafood Outlet. The absolute FRESHEST and most buttery fish I've ever had too. Some big and juicy Snow Crab on the side with eel sauce, garlic butter and wasabi soy sauce. The service was quick, friendly and has some great recommendations! Be sure to take cash, but if not, they have an ATM inside. The menu is HUGE! So many fresh and raw meats and seafoods to choose from in any amount you choose. You can't make a bad decision here and the prices can't be beat either. Seafood especially can break the bank, however, this place will give you a damn good reason to want to make dinner at home. read more

Fresh fresh fresh. Love this place...fast friendly service, too! My go to for fish and shrimp

Always fresh seafood every thing you would ever want at a good price I recommend to other seafood lovers

I've been buying my seafood here over 10 years. I gave the new guys just down the road a shot two months ago and even Green Turtle when they were in business. Not even close. There really isn't a better place for price, quality and service than these guys. You just don't get any better. read more

Well worth the stop! Jerry is the best as he runs a smooth and seamless operation. He has the process down to a fault. Very clear each day as you read the eraser board what fresh fish is available and the going price. Service is fast and efficient. The store has options for quick additions like homemade crab cakes (delicious) and most anything you need to add flavor to your meal. The cash only option can cause a delay for those who always use credit cards, but there is an ATM on site. Jerry is among the best of owner operators. I enjoy talking NFL football with him. He would be a good odds maker in another life! read more

10/10 fantastic service. They helped us with choosing how much to purchase per person. They were knowledgeable about exactly what cuts they had available and there the product was from. BE PREPARED AS IT IS CA$H ONLY. read more

Bought 50 piece little neck and 50 piece top neck, threw out half the bag of little necks. Twenty out of fifty clams were open and dead on arrival home that day. Box was iced properly and there was plenty of ice in the box. Following day threw out another ten little necks. Top neck were excellent and fresh as expected. We do not blame the front desk for the back room employees but the packer should have known not to give us dead clams. It was pretty obvious that they were dead by the smell and that the clams were open. The front desk did not acknowledge the problem and offer any recourse or offer to make good on the next visit. Recommend if you buy clams check them before leaving. The front desk and back room is not on their game for customer satisfaction. Moe read more

Great staff very helpful and knowledgeable. This is such a fun experience. The selection of both fresh and frozen seafood is outstanding. Don't let the "Seafood" in their name fool you they also offer a very diverse and exotic selection of other proteins. All selections are listed on a huge menu posted on a wiper board on the sales floor. The selections don't stop there. They also offer a wide range of spices, sauces and batters to support meal prep. As of my last visit, all transactions must be paid in cash. They do have a ATM on site which does offer some flexibility. read more

What a great find! I drove from St. Cloud to get some fresh seafood. I want to start right away with the reason for four and not five stars. Like others have mentioned, when you order, they go to the back and pick up and pack your seafood choices. I like to point and pick, as did the lady in front of me. It just seems odd that you can't see it before purchasing. With that being said, we bought a fair amount and it was all fresh and tasty, and would go there again. There were quite a few people there buying seafood, so it has a following, I wouldn't hesitate to go again. read more

Spent a lot of money here to buy a huge once a year special seafood meal for my family in town. One by one shortly after dinner my family of 6 started to ALL fall dangerously ill off the supposedly "fresh" fish. I have to say worst food poising Ive personally ever experienced in my 54 years of life coming from a knowledgable fisherman who grew up on seafood. Ruined the rest of our family vacation, living in the bathroom and not leaving our beds side to get through the miserable next few days. The only family member who did not get sick was the one who opted out of the fish and only ate the lobster. Shame on you Direct Seafood for selling any old contaminated bacteria filled fish. Beware The fish filets didn't look or smell old and were cleaned & cooked properly. Would never risk my family's health by buying from here ever again. read more

It's hard to find fresh oysters anymore. You can find them here, along with everything else. It's all sushi quality.

Great place to buy fresh seafood. We brought home lobster, haddock and Shrimp. The prices are very reasonable. We love that they sell New England style hotdog rolls. read more

WAIT till you see their selections written on the wall!!! It's crazy how they provide so many options..... be there soon!!!!!

No nonsense place with an engaged, personable owner. We picked up 100 little necks and a nice piece of wahoo for a decent price and it was super fresh. I bought 100 clams and after cleaning and inspection I didn't have any that were not usable. Packed with ice and a complimentary lemon! We need them in Vero too but I'm willing to make the drive. read more

The selection of seafood here is great. You're greeted by the huge menu right when you walk in - they have mostly everything. I was specifically looking to buy mussels and Yelp brought me to this place where I was surprised by the giant list of clams / mussels available. At about $4/lb, the black mussels are average price. They're not the cheapest I've ever seen but they're also not too expensive (mussel prices for me range about $2-$8 per pound depending on where I am in the United States.) I was interested to see that they had Green Lip Mussels on the menu that they sell in two pound increments - I made sure to pick some of those up too. The Green Lip Mussels are more expensive than the black mussels and are imported from Europe. They come frozen in a small box so they're definitely not too fresh if you're looking for something fresh caught. The interior is plain with a few goods to complement your seafood meal (breadcrumbs, rice, sauces, etc.). It seems a bit old with outdated carpet and a small wooden bench. You place your order with the man at the counter and he asks his coworkers in the back to bring it to you. I would have liked to see the selection of seafood but they were all in the back. I recommend calling the front desk ahead of time to see if they carry what you're looking for - I'm not sure how much of each item they keep in stock but the guy at the front is helpful in telling you what there is. I was really disappointed to see that some of my mussels have gone bad. They gave me the mussels in a brown bag and I didn't open them until I got home. When I opened it at home about 25% of my mussels were already open, which means they were dead. We checked the mussels immediately after we got home (we didn't accidentally kill them ourselves, they were dead at the store) and had to discard the ones that stayed open even after we tapped on them. What a waste of food and money! I wonder how many people come here to buy meats other than seafood. They have a huge selection of duck, chicken, veal, pork, etc. but I wonder if those sell. If they shortened their menu and put a little more effort into selling seafood that hasn't gone bad, I would've appreciated it a lot more. This place does not accept card - only cash and check. If you're thinking about buying a lot of seafood at one time this can be a bit of a hassle. I was lucky enough to have some money on me. There is an ATM inside the store if you forget cash. However, it might require a small fee. read more

CASH only! But as good as it can get. Truly the best and highlight of my visit here to Cocoa Beach. I have also attached some pricing that they have posted on the board. Truly a "Gem" spot for locals and tourist that wants to enjoy some fresh seafood! Seriously they even have snow crab legs for $8 a pound ! Like who could beat that! Seriously such a wonderful place. I got some crab cakes 2 for 10 dollars and grilled them. Also got some XL scallops and they were delicious ~ and the oyster were outstanding as well!
