My wife and I went out with the kids on Friday! Food was delicious and service was very fast! Props to the service staff and to the managers for working so hard and for caring a lot! I also wanna give props to the host and the cook who came out to help buss tables seeing that his fellow coworkers needed help. I was scrolling on Bigo Live while enjoying my meal and noticed a worker live streaming while working in a multi group video live. I know so because I saw the same cook who came to buss off tables with the wait staff back there working his tail off as the other guy was just chatting with headphones on in his live. Lovely restaurant for lunch on the water with friends. We came on a Tuesday around noon and there were plenty of tables available outside on their patio. Raven was our server and she was wonderful. They were out of 2 of the drinks we wanted and she happily helped us pick/ create new ones. We ordered a combo of apps and salads for lunch and we all shared. Everyone was pleased with their meals. It was a beautiful afternoon, perfect for sitting outside. Must have been what everyone else had in mind too - there was no one inside and a lot of people outside. Was waited on right away by Darcie. She took drink orders and within minutes she was back with iced teas. We ordered the "Chips & Dips" for starters ($10.). It didn't take long for her to return with them. Tortilla chips, with a small cup of corn, Pico de Gallo, and bean salsa and another small cup of fresh guacamole made this a very good starter! For my entree I ordered their "Chef's Special Burger". This is an 8 oz blend (Elk, Bison, Wagyu, & Wild Boar) patty on toasted brioche, with toppings of goat cheese, tomato confit, crispy red onion, basil, arugula & fig jam. ($22.). It was delicious and cooked just as I had requested. All of the toppings combined with the burger made for a very tasty meal! This also comes with truffle fries which were very good! As the sign at the entrance states, each meal is prepared from scratch to ensure quality and authenticity and so a longer wait time for your meal may be expected at peak times. It's a good thing we ordered the Chips & Dips because it took a while for our entrees to arrive. That being said, the wait was worth it. Our server, Darcie, was polite, friendly, and helpful. I have to say, don't let the entrance/parking lot deter you from enjoying a wonderful meal here!! We almost left due to the "curb appeal" - glad we didn't! If you're looking for a lot of different seafood dishes, Marker 99 doesn't have what some bigger restaurants have BUT what they do have is FRESH, MADE TO ORDER outstanding selections!! Remodeled inside and not sure what it was before. Nice table by the window since it was overcast and might sprinkle. A/C was cranking so bring a jacket and we were adjacent to the bar and the music while a good playlist was loud. Seated right away and once our server was tasked it went along pretty well. Garrett did a good job and was good about asking up sell questions. Got me to buy a beer. The beer was a draft Stella and it was stale. Switched to a bottle without issue and you could really tell the difference. The fish sandwich was ok and the fries were very good. Fish portion on the sandwich was a tad small but what was there was flavorful. The Frutti Di Mare is what brought me through the door from looking at the menu (note the update it often so what is on Yelp is dated so I uploaded new ones) This portion was large and full of seafood. Beautiful view with outdoor and indoor seating on the river. Lots of dock space to come by boat. Tiki bar is the perfect place for happy hour (M-F 5-7pm). Fun music and lots of tables. Full bar and a mix of seafood and other Caribbean and southern dishes. Came in for lunch when they opened on a weekend. We were one of two tables. The server was hard to find and once the food came, we didn't see her until we went inside to ask for the check after a very long wait. I had the Caribbean chicken bowl and hubs had the beef stroganoff. Both were too salty. I would go back for their happy hour in the tiki bar. Might try some other food, but weren't impressed with the initial visit. read more

For the price, the dishes are pretty underwhelming and tend to lack flavor or that extra bit of care you'd hope for. We've tried several different items on the menu, and most of them feel very similar -- nothing that really stands out or makes you want to come back for a specific dish. That said, the staff have always been friendly and attentive, and the service has never been an issue. It's just that when it comes to choosing a place to eat, there are so many other options nearby that offer better-tasting food for the same price. I'd say it's worth visiting for the location and drinks, but not necessarily for the meal itself. read more

A great location with good service! We always look for new spots on the water to enjoy a nice evening out and Marker 99 fit the bill for the evening. The location is great, right on the intracoastal and tucked far enough back from US1 to seem cozy and secluded. The staff is very friendly and the only hiccup there was a host not recalling or realizing he had a whole other section outside to seat guests but we quickly overcame that. The menu is somewhat limited but yet also very diverse. We initially struggled to find something we'd want but then had to decide between several options. The food was decent but honestly not great or anything that would make me recommend them. I do however recommend Marker 99 for the ambiance. If you want to relax and have a couple drinks (and perhaps an app) in a relaxed and picturesque setting, this is a good locale for that. read more

3.5 First experience was not good. We went 45 mins before closing. They couldn't get a host to seat us. Once we were seated no one would wait on us. A couple servers walked passed the table & told us someone would be with us. Never happened, we went to the bar after about 10 mins. We ordered drinks, food was done at this point. Bartender was pretentious. He asked if I liked my drink, I told him not really, it didn't have much flavor. I ordered it from their cocktail menu, the drink wasn't worth $12. The food was good not great but the service was extremely slow. The vegetables were overcooked but the portions were solid. We had the swordfish schnitzel, the fresh fish cartoccio, and salmon. Maybe we were here on an off night, but they were out of half of the items on the menu, they lost our reservation (until we showed them the text), and some of us did not have tasty food. I am giving this 3 stars because the view was nice, the server was lovely, and the seafood chowder was really good. However, they had no fish, and no shrimp which was a disappointment since the meals that two of us planned to get were not available. My husband got the burger and said it was tasteless with almost no blue cheese on it, and the truffle fries had no truffle flavor (they didn't, I tried them). I got the tuna salad and the tuna had no flavor and was tough, so I just didn't eat it. It was not good. Another frustration was that the tables were wobbly and the only seating they have is high top, which is not ideal for short people or people with mobility issues. I'm not sure I'd give this place another try. It had potential, but such poor planning with half the menu unavailable and half of the food not being good, I feel like there are much better choices where I'd rather spend an evening with friends. read more

Went for dinner on a Thursday evening - too late for outside seating. It took roughly 20 minutes to get seated and I think the hostess forgot about us for a while. Uh oh. We got seated at the top tier inside seating. The food took a little while but it was delicious. I had the gluten free teriyaki drumsticks - the meat fell off the bone. Delish. The sound in there is really really loud, so you can hear everyone's conversation and it was hard to have a quiet conversation at our table. That was the biggest bummer of the evening. read more

We were in the area and traveling from Vero Beach Airport to Coco Beach for the weekend. I checked out Yelp looking for a waterside restaurant, and Yelp didn't disappoint! According to the sign when you walk in, Marker 99 makes everything from scratch. (The sign warns of the wait time during rush periods.) The food was really good and presented nicely. We tried the vegan tacos and the butternut squash risotto. The tacos were way more than veggies in a tortilla. In addition to being loaded with a variety of veggies, but also had capers, pickles onion, red beans, and a bit of a tomato reduction. They had a great flavor. The risotto was nice - creamy-like texture without tasting heavy. It was served with fresh shaved Parmesan cheese. It was yummy, and we liked the warm dish as it was getting a little chilly outside. We each ordered a side salad (a bargain at $3). It was plenty of food. (The app selection looked great, but it would have been too much.) The ambiance is nice. We sat on the water. On the Saturday late afternoon we visited, they had a guy playing guitar outside. The service was friendly and efficient. We'd definitely try it again if we were in the area! read more

Service was mediocre. Drinks were good. Food was good. Well, actually to be fair we didn't get entrees we got sharing apps and glad we did. The servings were enough to share for 2 people. I get that as a waiter/waitress we aren't the only people in the restaurant. But that day our waiter was less than attentive with us. Ou apps came out well after other people had ordered and we wanted a 2nd round of drinks but to no avail. Just drank our 1 drink and water. Nice of the water for sure. However that night, it was too windy and cold to be outside. I saw that they do have space heaters out there so you can keep warm a bit but still that night was too windy for us. I have given a 2 star rating rather than a zero... as (4+0) / 2 = 2. The first time we dined here we had a nice meal with average service (which is unusually good in 2023). The second time we ate hear the server informed us that about 1/3rd of the menu items were "86" (not available). Ok. It was a Sunday. Chalk it up to running lean in a tight economy. After an extended wait for our food and a complete failure of the server to ever return and offer to allow us to order more drinks, the food arrived...and was frightening. I have attached a photo of my flank steak with chimichurri. Perhaps you have never made chimichurri. However, you likely know what it looks like and how it tastes. This chimichurri looked like green vomit and tasted like green lime slime. When I asked the server for an alternative, I was told "this is the way chimichurri is made". I suspect they would have agreed to bring me a new entree (if i asked). However, we had already waited an hour in this nearly empty restaraunt. Hopefully this was the Sunday night that the chef had called in sick. read more

The salmon had so much salt on that my wife did not want to eat it. My friend ordered the pasta seafood Alfredo and it was like a soup. We finally got the manager to come over and discuss the whole thing with him and then he never showed up again to make sure it was all worked out. The place was so empty and and we found out why. Nice service and location with views of the water. Our watermelon cocktail we got was tasty and strong. Unfortunately the high marks stop there. We got ceviche and a shrimp roll to split. If you like seaweed salad in your ceviche and shrimp roll, then this is the place for you. For us, we did not like that ingredient in either dish. And basically both dishes tasted almost identical, one just had bread and came with fries. We did pick out all of the seaweed before eating both dishes, but we would have much rather enjoyed it without. Nothing the restaurant did bad, just their preference on how they make each dish so just buyer beware if you don't like seaweed salad lol. I did read the description on the menu and didn't think much about it. I'll have to be more careful next time. read more

We sat out on the patio and it was really pleasant with great views of the water. Food was excellent!! The steak tip truffle fries had some of the best flavors I've had in a long time. A totally new locale for me. I ventured up to the Space Coast from the Treasure Coast (you have to love these names...) to meet my niece who flew in from California to pick her son up from college. She picked this place--out of the blue, and it was an excellent choice. We got there right as they opened at 11:30. You can't miss it. It's right on Route 1 in Melbourne and has a big sign out front. It's in a beautiful location. The outside deck faces the intercoastal, and that's where we sat. The interior of the restaurant was very nicely appointed. Lots of windows overlooking the water and very bright and clean. We orders the rice balls filled with ricotta and spinach. It was accompanied by a cheese/mushroom sauce, with large pieces of shaved cheese. I never liked rice balls until now. I could have made a meal out of those four delicious items alone. My niece ordered the Mediterranean bowl which had shrimp (an add-on), jasmine rice, quinoa, and some vegetables. She enjoyed it very much. I had the crispy haddock fish sandwich with fries. The fish was juicy and tender and it was served with avocado and cheese. A super nice meal. The fries seemed like they were double-fried and were extremely crispy and nice and hot. As for the prices, very reasonable. In this day and age with many restaurants price-gouging or adding on credit card fees, it's nice to go to a place where they're not trying to rip you off. Kudos to the management. The waitress couldn't have been nicer, as were all the employees I encountered there. I only wish I lived closer or had more occasion to drive the 80 miles up the coast...but wait! I just remembered I'm making a trip to Cape Canaveral in another month! I guess I will be back. (My only small suggestion is to fix the ladies' restroom situation. Two stalls...one stall has the door too close to the bowl so that your knees touch the door. Also, if the person in the other stall opens the door at the same time as you, they hit each other.) read more
