A+ can't wait to go back From the jump, there is plenty of parking. You will have a short walk to the host and the driveway is rocks so I would say heels are not the best choice. Also, it can get windy so be aware of that for outfit choice. The outdoor seating is right on the water and reservations are heavily recommended.They do have indoor seating and bar seating as well but again, call ahead. It is a quaint spot, but that's the charm! THE FOOD IS AMAZING. My family all passed our dishes around and everything was outstanding. Something that erks me is not having hot food, and these entrees came out sooooo hot a fresh. Ugh. The SALMON! Ps-The dishes are made exactly how the chef wants you to experience it, so just go with it! It's a culinary experience! AND DO NOT SKIP DESERT! Drinks are FLAWLESS! what an absolute disaster of an experience. we made reservations for 7pm for a special occasion, and got sat fairly fast. We waited for probably 20 minutes at our table before we even got acknowledged and it was the host to take our drink orders because our waitress was IMA. We put in drinks and a couple apps and no one came to our table for another hour. no food nothing has arrived. And finally! Our waitress finally shows up only to tell us (and the other 3 surrounding tables that also haven't gotten service yet) that the food we have been waiting for an HOUR is sold out and they are out of all seafood dishes! I had looked on your app to see the menu, and my heart was set on scallops. There were a few choices of types, however I didn't care which type, I just wanted scallops. I also had my hopes of key lime cheesecake, and I was so excited to enjoy every bite. Hmmmm... No scallops? Hmmmmm No cheesecake until after 3:00? Very disappointed to not get either of my choices I saw on their menu. I got the grouper dish, and it came withs Cesar salad, both were delicious!!!! My friends weren't super happy with the tacos either, and the chairs were Old and needed new cushions. This rustic little place is scenically located on the Indian river. The view is amazing, even from points in the dining room. The curb appeal is really lacking. After being seated we were waited on by a young g lady that seemed u sure of herself. When asked about the menu, she did not have any real knowledge about the dishes. A gentleman who worked there gave us his recommendations. We ordered the seared grouper and the garden pasta. The dishes were well presented and very flavorful. The grouper was perfectly cooked. The brown drizzle on the plate was a little strange looking and did not add to the overall flavor of the dish. Service was good. Not phenomenal. Great food and service , but if you are handicapped, use a cane, wheelchair or scooter be aware there is no handicapped parking or front entry. There is only a dimly li, sloping dirt area leading down to the outdoor seating area - no paved walkway. At that point there is a LONG circling ramp to the inside dining area, but where we were seated was two steps down with no railing or caution warning. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 1 in 4 adults in the United States (or 28.7 percent) have some type of disability. That means accessibility isn't a special feature; it's a fundamental part of good service. read more

We sat in the covered bar area & the view & was one of the best of any restaurant we have in Brevard. Run don't walk to this adorable date night restaurant with a view in Melbourne!! The food was amazing from the appetizers to the desert. First I have to tell you the menus are seasonal and they switch it up. So if you don't run and you walk to this restaurant the menu could possibly be different. Just depends on how fast you walk. Have you ever heard of cornbread Crabcakes? Me neither!! These were delicious and huge like literally the size of hamburgers and you got two as the appetizer. They were full of chunks of crab with a a little sweet cornbread to tease your tastebuds. Literally 90% crab 10% cornbread. AMAZING!! Next we ordered the lobster thermidor(had to check the spelling on that one) it was a beautifully plated entree with mushroom risotto with lobster claw meat hidden in the glorious risotto. Then a generous size lobster tail cut into medallions on top of the mushroom risotto with an amazing sauce. Served with Parmesan grilled asparagus ... yummy!! My husband had the chorizo crusted red snapper on top of a poblano pepper risotto served with broccolini which he asked me how do they do that?? How did they make that broccolini taste that good?? I could not finish my meal as the my portion of the crab cake appetizer was a meal in itself. We finished the dinner off with a ... orange blossom creme brûlée... dude...what???? They have an onsite pastry chef. I have never even heard of Orange blossom creme brûlée. Let me tell you next level!!! It had homemade strawberry preserves on the bottom, the orange bliss, followed up with the traditional burnt sugar. I will dream about that dessert for days. Now the restaurant yall is adorable. The building dates back to the 1900s when it was an automotive repair shop/ drug store. Then it was a family home then it turned into a restaurant. It was so cute inside. All hodge podge due to the layout of the house. It was decorated so elegant, unique and intimant. We actually ate outside along with a beautiful view of the river. I told my husband he had to go Inside to see it because it was adorable. It's interesting because you enter the restaurant thru the back. Basically the back yard through the back porch of the old home. I'm telling you this place is a must. Is it a drive Yes, is it pricey yes, is it worth it definitely, is it a great date night, anniversary, birthday, celebration restaurant absolutely!!! The outside sign boldly advertised a closing time of 11:00 PM, but our hopes were swiftly crushed when we were turned away by a young man with long, golden hair. He casually informed us they were closing early due to weather--a baffling excuse, considering it wasn't raining and there were plenty of seats available inside. Looking around, we saw other patrons comfortably enjoying their meals while numerous tables remained empty. The stark contrast between our eager anticipation and the abrupt dismissal was jarring. The unwelcoming atmosphere left a bitter taste in our mouths, extinguishing any desire to return. What should have been a delightful experience became a disheartening reminder of how quickly excitement can turn to disappointment. If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. We had heard mostly mid reviews of this place but are so mad at ourselves for not checking it out for ourselves sooner bc it was delicious! The warm peel & est shrimp were gigantic and a large portion for $18. All the salad dressings are made in house including the Caesar that they are smoking their anchovies for. The chorizo crusted snapper was delicious and again priced very reasonably considering portion and preparation. We happen to be eyeing the scallops and mussels appetizers and someone near our table ordered them so we got to see them coming out of the kitchen and they look incredible. We got lucky with a nice breezy lunch bc of an approaching afternoon storm. Such a nice treat in the middle of summer. View was a nice bonus. Service was warm and attentive. I'll start by saying the 4th star is strictly for the cocktails. I want this lovely restaurant to succeed. We visited about a week ago, large party and ready to try the entire cocktail menu. Out of 8 different entrée's I'd say 2 weren't the best, the sword fish was wonderful but the risotto underneath had zero flavor it made the entire meal underwhelming, The chicken and mac & cheese was soggy. The steaks were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked however, adding some vegetables wouldn't hurt. Service was odd, almost to the point they seemed uncomfortable, which made them extremely chatty. The group of us does not get together often, so having an entire conversation every time the service came was a bit much. Now I understand there is a fine line between good service and bad service but 75% of our visit was the waitress talking to us and rambling. The cocktails were very well-made and all delicious. We were prepared to try the entire menu unfortunately that did not happen. as-soon as our plates were picked up, our checks were put in front of us. What makes me want to give three stars is the amount of flies, I'm no stranger to eating outside in Florida. I highly recommend on days that do not have a breeze. Some fans get put installed outside on your patio not only will this help with the flies, but it will also make your outside more comfortable the use of the small reflective table fans just was not cutting it, especially when there's not enough to fill your entire patio, which was the case. With all of that being said, I'll give them a couple more months and try it again. Maybe stop at the bar in between. read more

This newly remodeled and reimagined restaurant has plenty to offer a true Epicurean. It's quite hot on the outside deck in July but still worth a visit. Located on The River in Melbourne it provides a great view. We stopped in hopes of hearing some live music ( which may come eventually). Hubster had a local beer and I had a Hendricks G&T before I spied Smoke and Mirrors on the menu. We ordered the fish dip ( a Sunday special) and it was light and flavorful, served w house made chips and crunchy toast. Look forward to dinner here soon! read more

The restaurant is a nice space. Outside deck and bar are beautiful with great views. Inside is cozy(tight) but cool and comfortable. As for the food, it's hard to say for sure because they were out of literally half the entrees. That may be a good sign that those entrees are good. Unfortunately what we ate was not so great. The fried chicken with mac and cheese was really bad. The chicken was dropped in the oil before the oil was hot enough so it was a soggy, greasy mess. The mac and cheese was a milky soup with some shredded cheese on top and no flavor. Our server was very nice. She spent most of the time apologizing to each table she waited on.
