I chose the crabcakes and Brevardian Sideboard. I appreciate their elegant twist on true southern fare. Both dishes were a perfect blend of traditional flavors and modern culinary techniques, offering a unique and delightful dining experience. The ambience and setting were peaceful and calm, providing an ideal environment to share intimate experiences with my husband and family. Service was attentive, personable, responsive, and prompt . We had heard mostly mid reviews of this place but are so mad at ourselves for not checking it out for ourselves sooner bc it was delicious! The warm peel & est shrimp were gigantic and a large portion for $18. All the salad dressings are made in house including the Caesar that they are smoking their anchovies for. The chorizo crusted snapper was delicious and again priced very reasonably considering portion and preparation. We happen to be eyeing the scallops and mussels appetizers and someone near our table ordered them so we got to see them coming out of the kitchen and they look incredible. We got lucky with a nice breezy lunch bc of an approaching afternoon storm. Such a nice treat in the middle of summer. View was a nice bonus. Service was warm and attentive. Mother's Day dinner was superb. We opted to eat indoors because the weather was iffy. Quaint decor that reminds you of your grandmother's house, right down to the vintage dishes and cocktail glasses. Parking the car and looking at the tropical landscape made me so excited to what will be around the corner on the water. Had to go to the bar to get seated. They said sit wherever you want. Beautiful atmosphere outdoor on the water with dolphins playing in the water and soft &low music playing. Pinch me! The waitress very friendly and knowledgeable. We Put in our drink order and appetizer. Loved that they have Bart's root beer,lavender lemonade and brought a pitcher of ice tea love that. Ordered oysters and they came from Sebastian. Wow! Clean, good size and homemade smoked tomatoes relishes on the side. Delicious! House freshly caught smoked fish blended with spices, jerk, mayo,lime and home made kettle chips assorted fresh and pickled veggies. So refreshing to take simple cooking styles and blend with Caribbean spices with an American beachy flare. Phenomenal. You will feel like you went on vacation. read more

I'll start by saying the 4th star is strictly for the cocktails. I want this lovely restaurant to succeed. We visited about a week ago, large party and ready to try the entire cocktail menu. Out of 8 different entrée's I'd say 2 weren't the best, the sword fish was wonderful but the risotto underneath had zero flavor it made the entire meal underwhelming, The chicken and mac & cheese was soggy. The steaks were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked however, adding some vegetables wouldn't hurt. Service was odd, almost to the point they seemed uncomfortable, which made them extremely chatty. The group of us does not get together often, so having an entire conversation every time the service came was a bit much. Now I understand there is a fine line between good service and bad service but 75% of our visit was the waitress talking to us and rambling. The cocktails were very well-made and all delicious. We were prepared to try the entire menu unfortunately that did not happen. as-soon as our plates were picked up, our checks were put in front of us. What makes me want to give three stars is the amount of flies, I'm no stranger to eating outside in Florida. I highly recommend on days that do not have a breeze. Some fans get put installed outside on your patio not only will this help with the flies, but it will also make your outside more comfortable the use of the small reflective table fans just was not cutting it, especially when there's not enough to fill your entire patio, which was the case. With all of that being said, I'll give them a couple more months and try it again. Maybe stop at the bar in between. read more

This newly remodeled and reimagined restaurant has plenty to offer a true Epicurean. It's quite hot on the outside deck in July but still worth a visit. Located on The River in Melbourne it provides a great view. We stopped in hopes of hearing some live music ( which may come eventually). Hubster had a local beer and I had a Hendricks G&T before I spied Smoke and Mirrors on the menu. We ordered the fish dip ( a Sunday special) and it was light and flavorful, served w house made chips and crunchy toast. Look forward to dinner here soon! read more

The restaurant is a nice space. Outside deck and bar are beautiful with great views. Inside is cozy(tight) but cool and comfortable. As for the food, it's hard to say for sure because they were out of literally half the entrees. That may be a good sign that those entrees are good. Unfortunately what we ate was not so great. The fried chicken with mac and cheese was really bad. The chicken was dropped in the oil before the oil was hot enough so it was a soggy, greasy mess. The mac and cheese was a milky soup with some shredded cheese on top and no flavor. Our server was very nice. She spent most of the time apologizing to each table she waited on. Definitely recommend this place. They did such a great job with the remodel. The food choices are unique for the area as most restaurants have the same boring things on their menus. Everything was very good especially the prime rib sandwich special. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the pork chop with the mashed potatoes were divine. We will definitely come back and try more things but it's just on the pricey side. We also definitely appreciated the dessert tray sampler to get to try a bite of the desserts. read more

I really wanted to love this place, certainly pricey. I went here tonight for my birthday. Maybe I should give it a try for brunch since the reviews for brunch seem excellent. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The raviolis were uncooked ( or definitely not cooked enough, very chewy) in my opinion, and I'm Italian and I know ravioli. My spouse said the Wago burger was not good Wago and very dry. on a good note, The atmosphere is was wonderful and Lisa our server was very nice and helpful. I did think she could have let us talk to the chef about this poorly cooked ravioli dish after I told her I know it wasn't her fault, but nothing came of it. Everything on the menu seemed more for a foodie and someone who likes things smoked, not really my preference. lots of outdoor seating very little indoor seating. I'd hate to see what happens when the heat arrives overall it's a beautiful place and they did a good job on it overall. read more

Overpriced and not very good. Service was slow. We had reservations and was stuffed into a tiny spot in a crowded small dining area.

Marginal at best, certainly NOT fine dining, and a bit of a let down from the hype. 6 of us. Table was never adequately cleared and I hate sitting in front of dirty dishes. I had two empty cocktail glasses sitting in front of me for most of the meal. And the server was not very attentive and always seemed in a rush when he did stop by. I mean this is a "fine dining 101" fail. As for the food: The cioppino was inedible. Smoke should be a flavor enhancer, not the dominate trait of the dish. The broth had no flavor other than the smoke. Shrimp was tough and tasteless. Never had such a bad version. The duck was delicious. The empanadas were too huge as an appetizer and more dough than meat. The conch fritters were "ok" but not for $22. The Caribbean Snapper (Pearl couscous tossed in house jerk topped with crispy snapper, seasonal fruit salad, smoked grapefruit crema.) appeared to be a panko baked filet that was comically plated in a bowl with a 1/4 of it laying outside the rim. Huh? It was unremarkable in every way. And the "Coffee & Brown Sugar Salmon" (Pan seared Atlantic Salmon seasoned liberally with our house local coffee and brown sugar rub served over smoked gruyere country grits, with charred tomato, in chicken skin butter), was an unremarkable dish. Did not taste the "Coffee & Brown Sugar" part. At one point a gentlemen came over and asked, "Is everything good?" This is not the way to solicit feedback from guests because who wants to say, "Not really." Better to say, " Is there anything we could have done to have created a better experience for you?" Trust me, this is not fine dining in either service or taste. What it is is yet another overhyped, way-too-expensive Brevard restaurant that's heavy on promise but wholly disappointing on execution. read more

I ordered the wage double smash burger. First off knowing Wagyu meat is very lean, I ask it to be cooked medium. I was told, since it is smashed it's cooked one way only. Well it was delivered a bit cool. It was extremely dry, the bacon was burnt and totally lacked flavor. One of my friends ask me to try her fried wings as she did not care for the taste. I'd pass on that. For a fine dining establishment, I would have expected when the food is brought to the table the server should not have to ask who gets what nor hand it to another customer to pass down the line. Bottom line is the portions are small and over priced for what you get. If you are hungry any side will cost you. Three of our guests ordered the chefs special a mushroom type stew. Incredible dinner with friends tonight! It was raining, and we were seated inside. Love the decor, vintage look and feel with great detail. They had great cocktail menu, I had a Gin drink called The Christian that was fabulous. Our waitress was awesome, great attitude , explained the menu and specials in great detail. We opted for the Brevardian Board which was surf & Turf and the Grouper. The Brevardian Board was literally one of the best meals we have ever had. The Mac & Cheese - with prime rib & shrimp soooo good! And it was huge, we should have shared it but had lots of leftovers. I had the grouper and it was light and flavorful. We also started with the Cesar , super yummy loved it had kale in it. Also the service was on point the entire night, the chef came out to give us tips, and favorites ...and even came to say goodnight when we left. Fantastic food and service. Wesley greeted us right away and made us all feel welcomed. He gave us awesome seats and fully explained the Mother's Day brunch approaching. He even assisted right away with making our special reservation. Taylor was our server and was so friendly and didn't mind when we all asked questions about the menu and fully explained her answers. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance is unique and charming. Already recommended them to our friends who also loved the place. I can't wait to go back. Really special service for our party of 12. Great kettle chips and dip served when seated. Diverse menu, competently executed. Muscles were prepared perfectly. I tasted the Grouper and the Pork Chop in addition to my own entree, the coffee rubbed salmon- all were delicious. Outdoor seating was very comfortable along the river. I was looking forward to going to this restaurant for Mother's Day as I heard it was nice and high end, but to my disappointment it was not what I had expected at all. First of all it took over an hour before the food came, and when it did, the fish sandwich looked like it was cut in half, since my sister and I ordered the same thing, it looked liked she got the top end and I got the tail end and both sandwiches barely covered the stale bread it was served in, and the tomato looked like it has been sitting since yesterday, the cabbage mixed with mayo had no taste, not sure if that was suppose to be coleslaw, the food was room temperature. I am not disappointed, I am angry. Starting with the wine selection for which they had no white wines on the menu. Apparently, the 4th of July guests drank it all. I guess no one could order from nearby alcohol stores. Plus, $15 for a 4oz pour. What's the first thing servers ask you at Bonefish when ordering wine. 6 oz or 9ox? Food? Mediocre. First off I don't understand the bad reviews. I know they've recently changed up their menu secondly, a newly opened restaurant has to work out issues and people shouldn't dismiss it for a perceived bad first experience. Not a lot of places around offer an inventive menu, great location and attentive staff so try it again to save this gem. As far as weather, check radar app. I did and knew was safe to reserve indoor seating. Tonight was my first dining experience, with friends, and we all were beyond happy with our dining experience. Fish dip was plentiful for the table with delicious pickled veg and house made chips, seared tuna was wonderful with no stringy pieces. Mains we ordered were salads (huge with grilled shrimp, with fresh greens.) 2 of us had an amazing filet "board" perfectly cooked with more pickled veg, yes please, Mac and cheese yummy and huge grilled romaine with perfect dressing. Service was excellent with comprehensive detail of preparation, sauces, and their recommendations. They offered us to share mains no problem and accommodated custom cocktail requests. My friends and I dine out often and all agreed this is a definite do over. Oh, even though seated inside still lovely river views. It's Florida. We have bugs. Sit inside if you're squeamish.
