Love mercury cafe! Stopped by for a drink, and a quick bite. The drinks were great and the food was good too, but, we did find a long hair in our falafel burger. We didn't say anything bc we were literally on the last bite. Ambiance: This place has always been super cute and magical! Gives you the feeling of being in a fairy tale.

We came here the other night and paid 10 bucks per ticket for their jazz night on Saturdays, the music was amazing and so was the crowd... but not impressed by the management team here as it was SUPER cold the entire night upstairs because they didn't take the time to get space heaters up there despite people having paid money to come and watch the show. They tried once after an HOUR of us all sitting there to fix the heater but it was super loud and they just turned it off, they mentioned bringing space heaters in but they gave up on that idea I guess.... Would come back if it was summer or I didn't have to freeze my butt off

This spot has been on my list for a *long* time! We finally came in New Year's Eve for an early dinner. We got seated right away in the Jungle Room, where there was a very talented pianist playing. We had our dinner there but were curious about the performer in the next room over, so we asked our server if we could have dessert in the Rose Room and she kindly let us select a table of our choosing and brought our desserts over so we could check out the singer in Rose Room. Very cool vibe and atmosphere. Delicious and healthy menu, with ample vegetarian and vegan options! And the service was great! When we moved seats, the servers in the other room kept coming to check on us, and so did our original server when she had time. Will definitely be back to check out more events and performances this venue has to offer! An absolute gem!!

If you are from the Denver area or just moved here and haven't been here yet you are definitely missing out... I have been here multiple times with my son and we both absolutely love it. He has participated an open mic three times and has he use the Mercury stage to help him get over his stage fright. The staff here are friendly and will treat you like family. The restaurant is clean, the food is good. Last time I came we ordered the quesadillas twice in one sitting... The salsa that came with it was just the right amount of spice, and the pico was fresh. I had a screwdriver and a beer while I was here, the bartender did not disappoint. The crowd for the poetry slam is always supportive as well as inclusive. Whether you are a local poet or just a soul with a lot to say, whether you are a comedian on his off day or an eight-year-old trying to combat stage fright - this crowd will welcome you with open arms. We, of course, will be back and hope to see you there next time.

This eclectic establishment provides entertainment for all walks of life. I hadn't been here in years but I do remember the good times I had from before. The old fashioned that I was drinking were on time and tasty.

Warm, cozy and rustic. Variety of tea options and live music. Can't go wrong

Fun ambiance. Lots of cool events. Check their calendar. Just don't come hungry. Food is meh.

Having been going for years to enjoy the eclectic entertainment (dancing, bands, poetry, sing-alongs, witches), colorful delightful decor, and delicious, thoughtfully sourced-and prepared foods. With new owners (but the former amazing owner, I've read, still deeply involved for now) the menu has changed. A pal and went last weekend and ordered the Smoked Shiitakes, Falafel Burger, and Mercury Market Bowl. The food LOOKED great and TASTED out of this world, baby. Yum. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. Attached some photos of the beautiful environment. Can't wait to go back and try more from the new menu.

The original owner Marilyn and Ritsa Mclerran.

Did not try the food because of the other reviews, but the dance class was fantastic.

What a cool place to grab a drink snacks or dinner!…read more Walk inside speak to the hostess, they check your ID. If you're visiting on a weekend you better have a reservation because this is a popular location! When it's time to enter the hostess will open the secret door, that looks like a bookcase but surprise that's the door where you enter into the restaurant. There is a great bar, luxurious leather table booths to sit at. Kenny was our server. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks, the food menu and made some recommendations. We enjoyed interacting with him on our visit. Street parking is available. I appreciate the location as there are plenty of bars and restaurants that are walkable , fun and safe to check out! Either way it was late and we were looking for some sort of sit down to eat and glad we stumbled upon this place. When we arrived it looked like a book store and talked to the host and found out we were in the right place and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to accommodate us almost immediately which was great. The atmosphere was great and we both enjoyed our time. I don't drink anymore but got a mocktail but my girl drinks so she had a couple so we got to see the mixologist do their thing. I can tell he was itching to make more drinks but he was great and gave us some places to check out around town before we left back for California. The whole experience was great , my girl enjoyed her drinks and we both enjoyed the food and most importantly; the reason you would want to come here, the experience. The atmosphere and the service were great and recommend for quiet celebrations or date nights .

Also the fact that from what I could tell the speciality here for drinks is their espresso martinis which I am a huge fan of. The overall vibes and decor did not disappoint! They had dim lighting with red and spooky decor including a coffin you could take pictures in. First night we came here we snagged some bar seats and received stellar service from all the bartenders but Michelle in particular made us feel like regulars and we had a great time chatting with her. We ended up booking a reservation and revisiting a second time because the drinks and service were so great! With the spot being busy during both our visits the bartenders expertly handled the chaos like it was nothing, very impressive. They had so many good sounding special espresso martinis it was tough to pick. My wife loved the red velvet the most and also enjoyed a pumpkin spice too. I sampled a variety including Tiramisu, Peanut Butter Cup, Cookies & Cream, and a S'mores version. All of them had incredible flavor and I don't think I could pick a favorite honestly. One of our favorite bars during our trip bar far. Perfect vibes for the month and amazing service and drinks made it a top notch spot!

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

My mother and I had booked a reservation for two. We walked in and waited a good 5 minutes till anyone even noticed we walked in. After finally seeing us we were seated at a table in the corner. Right as we were about to order the hostess (a brunette with glasses) walked up asking if we would move tables so she could seat a walk-in party of 8. We accommodate despite being confused as to why a walk-in had priority over our prior made reservation. This is when things got bad. We were seated in a middle table between two other parties. We could not hear each other whatsoever. After 10 minutes, we realized no one was sitting at our original table. My mom asked why we had to move and she said the party of eight decided not to come in. We asked to be moved back to our original table so we could hear each other better in converse. This was met with an eye roll and hostility, saying she had other people she wanted to seat there but if we were so insistent, we could move back. We moved back to the other table. My mom had her drink brought to her and as soon as they arrived at the table, the woman with locks in a bun (Savana) asked to see my ID. Mind you I had not ordered a drink. I handed over my ID and she looked at it then said I'm taking this into the back. No explanation at all. I was astonished. I've never had a bartender remove my ID from my hand and take it all the way to the back. This made me extremely uncomfortable as it has personal information on it. Who knows what they were even doing with my ID in the back. When the host came back to our table, I simply asked why they took my ID into the back. She immediately got ridiculously defensive. She began to state this was common protocol to remove someone's ID completely and take it to the back. I questioned why that would ever happen and why they didn't bring the manager out to look at my ID. My mom called them out for it being coincidental that they started treating us bad after we complained about our table being moved. This is when the hostess told us we were "being rude and being disrespectful". The host then continued to escalate the conversation by overly saying how "rude" we had been. We repeatedly tried to shut the conversation down, but she continued over and over again. After, the host eventually left our table of the women seated next to us leaned over to say they were also in shock at the hostess's behavior. We paid our $20 check and left. Overall, the staff were horrible. I will never be coming back here and will warn every one of the horrible service. I'm disgusted and in complete shock I even spent $20 on a drink just to be treated like trash.

That certainly held true. Ramble helped us set up a reservation which was great because every time we went through the lobby/Death & Co. it was busy. Our first experience here was room service getting their Drunkin Cookies and wow these were delicious and the perfect end to our first night. Now onto our full experience here. The entire area is beautifully designed and feels like a high-end cocktail bar without being pretentious. Every member of staff we interacted with were phenomenal as well and even with shift changes/breaks for members of staff they kept our experience running smoothly! They also wanted to make sure us as well as other parties knew us enjoyed their cocktails they ordered and would change them out if that was not the case (which did happen to a table next to us). Really a text book example of what you want from service! Cocktail wise my wife and I knew we needed to sample more than one each. Some more traditional offerings but a lot of unique drinks on their menu. I first tried Ghost Machine, imagine a spicy cocktail mixed with a refreshing watermelon to bring you that relief, excellent! Firstly my wife had Emerald Grove (Gin, Green Tea Shochu, Sweet Potato Shochu, Matcha, Coconut, Mint, Pineapple, Lemon) and liked it but was very unique as you would guess from the ingredients. She thought the mint brought a shamrock shake flavor to it. Secondly I had a bartender riff on a paper plane which was great as well. Lastly my wife secondly had Paradise Falls which she needed to try since it had a blueberry foam. Again, a unique but delicious drink. You could taste the high quality put into the ingredients used and time spent coming up with the drinks! Absolutely top-notch experience with Death & Co!
