I came across this place one late night while I was craving pho. I'm so happy I did cause this place is delicious. Our sever was sweet and told us we could sit wherever we'd like. Then he brought us bottled water which was nice. We had chicken pho which was cooked to perfection. The broth is so flavorful and the noodles are soft and not overcooked. I've came to this place many times and each time the food is great. It is on the pricier side of what I'm used to paying for pho ($15.99) but I do think it's worth the price because this is easily on my top 3 pho spots. Me'Lange seems to keep its place clean and tidy, I've never walked in to it being messy. Their decor is very nice and the parking is rather easy but there is a club next door and people seem to pay to be able to use their parking lot so sometimes it's full. This is 5 stars in my book especially because of how late they are open! I don't know of many pho restaurants open til 1 am, so this one's gonna do it for me every time!

Good spot for late night food when options are limited! They have a variety of Asian fusion dishes. They have plenty of parking available as well. I recommend trying the Crispy Egg Noodles with the house combination. The noodles are very crispy and topped with a variety of different meats and vegetables. Overall, this restaurant is a good option for late nights, but not so much during the day when there are much better options out there!

I don't write reviews, but I had to for Me'lange. I was going to Shokku last night but it ended up being too packed for me. So, I ended up calling to see when they would last seat people and so I ended up going there. When you walk in you're greeted with a smile! The range of items on their menu was actually nice but I'm very indecisive so it was hard to order a little bit. But I ended up going with the brisket phó & Chinese egg rolls. The egg rolls are perfect, they come out super hot! Now the phó, has a great flavor to where I didn't need any sriracha. It was so full of flavor and hot! The food was really great I ended up getting some wings and pad thai to go. The sweet chilli wings, were soooo good & so was the pad thai. Really great ambiance when you walk in, music and a calm space around you to enjoy some really good food! I will be back

Hip, modern, clean and trendy little place with good Asian fusion choices. Service was excellent. Enjoyed my Vermicelli with chicken just fine despite it not tasting as authentic as a standard Vietnamese restaurant would have. Really enjoyed the egg rolls and would return just for those. I was so full after eating here because it was so good. Glad to know about this place as it's open late which is usually when I'm craving Asian food.

Good little Montrose spot for late night eats. Menu has a little bit for everyone. Service good for 11pm!

Crab fried rice ($20) - not much crab in here, tiny bits of crab were also cold :(

A small restaurant with a really nicely designed sign on the exterior, Melange serves up Americanized Vietnamese food up into the wee hours of the night. The food is tasty and the service was really friendly, but it's not worth the price tag in my opinion. With the crab fried rice priced at $20, I was hoping it looked like something in the previous Yelp photos topped with lots of crab claws. The fried rice was a standard fried rice you find at other Americanized Chinese food shops that could go for $5 (still yummy), and the crab was scant and cold as well. Can't say no to carbs though! The shaking beef (also $20) was really flavorful and marinated with sauce. Usually the beef is just cooked with some salt and pepper and there's fresh lime juice you dip it in; the version here didn't need dipping, as it was so flavorful (but in a way that didn't let the meat shine through), and the lime juice was clearly from a bottle. It came with a fried egg, fried rice (which tasted pretty similar to the crab fried rice), and some marinated carrots and cucumbers. I picked the medium rare steak pho ($10) -- broth was clean, not super oily, and hit the spot, but dang, the meat was like really tough steak or stew meat without a hint of pink or tenderness anywhere. You don't get your usual array of meatballs, tendon, tripe, different types of flank steak, etc. to choose from here. The retro dance music also was a turnoff, haha~ but there's a parking lot in the back-- hooray! The food was tasty, but I would only come back if it was late and everything else was closed.

I love oysters, I get them anytime I see they're available. Their fried oysters are really good - large and fresh and the breading is not too thick. The waffle fries are a plus. Try the oysters. :)

    Rare steak Pho-Beef Broth Noodles

Came here after leaving a lounge so I was a little tipsy and excited to try this place I accidentally found. The service was great, but unfortunately the serving size amount for the price is just not worth it. I ordered beef broth pho w/ rare steak for Togo in person. This is what I noticed when I got home. Kinda wish I would've checked before so that's on me. The steak was not rare and ended up being a little tough , also little to no noodle. There's so much space in the bowl it's kinda sad. Overall the taste is fine..but i wouldn't return sober ...

We got chicken fried rice and sweet & sour chicken. Service was quick and easy. Good music and nice seating Greeted as soon as we walked in. Chicken Fried Rice 2/10 - overpriced for how it taste - good portion size - no flavor Sweet & Sour Chicken 6/10 - interesting taste - good amount of chicken - lots of peppers - overall its alright

    Amanda M.

Very disappointed in my order. I found bugs in my soup. See picture. Furthermore, I ordered two bowls of pho and received 1 set of utensils and one set of chopsticks. Further, there was no siracha or hoisin sauce. Does a hot dog go without mustard or relish. Do fries go without ketchup.

The filling is placed in a pan and then a thin layer of batter made with tumeric and coconut milk yellow batter is poured on top. You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. It's nice having an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our area, close to us, so we don't have to make the trek to Bellaire every time we crave some Viet food!

I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. They were generous with the meat. Wish they would have more soup. The soup itself was ok. Thought it was a little bland compared to others. Service was quick. It didn't take long to receive our order. They offer reusable wooden chopsticks. Will plan to try the other dishes other than Pho like rice plates next time.

It comes in a set of 2 but we got a 3 pack! I ordered the grilled branzino and let me tell you! That chimichurri sauce !! Clutch! It is demonetisation and truly grilled to perfection. My friends ordered the filet mignon and the chicken and they were equally as impressed! I ordered the espresso mousse for dessert which comes out in the shape of a coffee bean. Cuteeee and perfect! This place didn't disappoint and it is a must visit.

This is a higher end fine dining restaurant so you should expect the portion sizes and price to be pretty comparable to a lot of other finer dining restaurants. Overall the food's flavor was fantastic. I ordered the king salmon clay pot. I thought the salmon was so tasty! They added pepper and sauce to the salmon - It was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with white rice. The quail (not pictured below) also was super flavorful and was cooked so well it tasted like beef. The soup was also light and refreshing, similar to a west lake soup. It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness. I will say, we are slightly underdressed to enter this establishment. Everything seemed so luxurious and many people were in formal business wear! Keep this in mind if you go! There is a parking deck right next to the location as well, both self parking and valet!
