*UPDATE: Two minutes after posting this review, a woman slipped and was injured in the lobby on a mopped floor with no "Wet Floor" sign. The staff rushed to cover their mistake and left the woman on the floor in pain. I have been hugely disappointed in my stay. I stayed here 6 years ago and had a good experience, so we decided to book our family of 10 here during a family vacation. Upon arriving for check in, the hotel staff would not allow my husband (with whom I share a last name) to check in without me presenting an ID. However, when we got locked out of our room three different times due to a deactivated room key, NO identification from either party was requested to give out a new room key, causing a major safety rush. The parking garage was tiny, and it took about 30 minutes to check in and get to our room because of the painfully slow elevators. Our key stopped working the first day, so we had to walk down and back up the stairs to get our key fixed at 10pm (again, no identification required to get a new room key). This morning, there is no coffee in the lobby as apparently the machine is broken. To top it off, the hotel did not honor the discount it quoted us at booking, which we have emails and will be supporting with the credit card company. Poor communication on their "shuttle" service . We signed up ahead of time they told us $10 a person , we waited patiently and 15 minutes after our scheduled time they still hadn't communicated that they were running late , we decided to get an uber instead which showed up in seconds . Their elevators didn't work half of the time . The beds were comfy but they need more organization knowing that they are dealing with cruisers and timelines Also coffee sucked , vending machines were overpriced and had horrible selections. We booked this hotel prior to going on a cruise to Alaska because we saw they had a shuttle to cruise port on embarkation morning. They also had an airport shuttle so we booked that via email a few days before our flight. They needed the flight number and est arrival time so that the driver could monitor our flight for any delays. Shuttle pick up from airport smooth, driver Ashu from car service kept in touch even with a flight delay, 30 min drive from airport. He picked up other passengers for another hotel and dropped them off first then dropped us off at the front door of Mediterranean. Armani was at check in desk at the hotel, super helpful and informative Room clean upon arrival, no view from the room but rooftop garden area open to all guests with terrific views of the city and space needle. Even tho it's on a busy street, it was very quiet in and around the inn at night. Bathroom looks recently renovated and is gorgeous. Water pressure in the shower isn't the strongest but it's also not weak either. Adjusting shower head for height and spray is nice to have available. We stayed two nights and room was cleaned while we were out and about during the day which was nice to come back to. Safe didn't lock so it was pretty useless. Check out was easy, could be done remotely online or at the front desk upon exit. We got two key cards, one of which didn't work which was fine cuz we went everywhere together and only needed one, but we did over hear other guests complaining about the same thing. Starbucks right next door was our go to since they didn't offer a breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants, sights and even a grocery store within walking distance of this hotel, very convenient! Cruise port shuttle, signed up for a departure time at check in. Shuttle leaves every half hour starting at 9. 10 min ride. Pay driver, cash or card. Easy drop off right in front of baggage check in and entrance into port security. Highly recommend this hotel to other cruise goers, and already have since we've been back! read more

I would say for the location being so close to the arena it's a good value for the price and convenience. I flew in for some Lady Gaga concerts and the front desk staff had on Gaga shirts for the concert days which I loved and thought was so thoughtful and human of them. They also were letting people know about bag policies- I just thought they were going the extra mile to be helpful. Their rooftop is amazing and there are so many restaurants on their street you could walk too easily. While I didn't interact with them directly I also appreciated the cleaning stuff - seemed to do a good clean through while I was out, windows and all. They have self serve laundry machines that are open all day long and a nice jug of water with various fruit or cucumbers in the lobby that I used a lot. I wish I had taken pictures! But I was in 404 - the bathroom had an extra vanity zoom in mirror and built in mirror lighting for makeup. You get a sink in your room and basic coffee stuff. A very long desk with a deep space for the chair which was so useful. I appreciated the large size of the desk chair as a plus sized girl. And Uber pickup and drop off are just outside the door. I loved the service I received, the cleanliness, the surrounding safety, and the room. Very, very happy! I will definitely book this hotel the next time I'm in Seattle. Everything is walking distance. No need for a car to go to downtown, Pioneer Square, Pike Market, Space Needle, Olympic Sculpture Park, and many great restaurants. Very convenient option for the one night prior to cruising. My wife couldn't get past those dingy white? hallways though so she said I couldn't give the hotel five stars. Other than that the hotel was very decent as the room was clean & just enough for a one stay. We rarely rode the elevator; it was too slow! I kept getting coffee in the lobby. We checked into our hotel a little early like 1230 which was prior to check in time although we got there at 1130 & stored our luggage there no extra charge. The hotel was reachable via the light rail & monorail & walked from there. Thank goodness it was gorgeous weather. We had convenient & nice foodie restaurant options nearby too! We even walked to a nearby Safeway but just be aware of the rift raft around there. The next day we walked to Space Needle & Chihuly art museum! Also don't forget to walk up to the rooftop! There's nice seating up there for the lovely scenic views! Woohoo! Great place for a drink up there in the afternoon & evening or coffee in the morning! If you need to go to the Smith Cove Pier 91 for cruising they do have shuttles but you should reserve the day before. We did that upon checking into the hotel to play it safe. Plus you must make payment DIRECTLY to the driver. The hotel doesn't receive that charge. We learned that the hard way!!! LOL The hotel was only 20 minutes away from the pier. I usually come here when in Seattle for work however the last time was probably 6 years ago due to Covid and the last time that I came to Seattle a little over a year ago I stayed at the Sheraton Downtown due a lower than normal price. The first time I stayed here was probably 12 years ago and love the MI for its convenience. A block away from one of my fav restaurants Toulouse Petit and less than a block from Blue Water Taco Bar. Approx 1.1 mikes to Pikes Market. at amy rate, upon entering my room I was greatly surprised that they had a rooms renovation with getting rid of the carpet and having wooden floors which is much cleaner, a larger flat screen TV and a remodel of the bathroom featuring Gilchrist and Soames bath products. Front Desk staff during my 4 day stay were great as well. Parking spaces below the hotel are still on the small side as well as the two S-L-O-W elevators. The biggest disappointment was the Starbucks connected to this boutique hotel closed in the fall of 2025 which I miss as they would open at 5:30 am. Something's never change but still love this place for its ambience, simplicity and ease of coming and going if you are driving. read more

4.5/5 This is a great option if you are looking for a hotel near the Seattle Center attractions. Everyone working here was very friendly and helpful. If you come here before check in and there aren't any rooms available they can hold your luggage for you while you explore the surrounding area. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, as well as a CVS and Safeway near by. When we first walked into our room it smelled freshly cleaned, and I was impressed in particular with the spotless bathroom. The housekeeping staff clearly work hard to create a great environment for guests to stay in. I loved the little touches such as the flower shaped tissue arrangement in the Kleenex box. Next to the elevators they have a table set up with complimentary infused water and coffee, a cool little perk for staying here. Check out the rooftop terrace while you are here too. The views are quite nice. The only negative I can think of is that the elevators are super slow. We ended up taking the stairs a lot of the time even though we were on one of the higher floors. Absolutely love this place and would pick this over a traditional Hotel. Staff is always so friendly and accommodating. They always greet us sincerely when we leave or come back for the day. Can't beat the location if you're planning on visiting Climate Pledge and it's maybe a 10 min drive to Pikes Market. Only con is the elevator can be painfully slow because it is an older building so if you're on a low enough floor it may be easier to just take the stairs. I've stayed here twice already and have no plans on staying elsewhere. read more

Had intimate knowledge of the area and were able to direct us around town using public transport and also an off site shuttle service to and from the airport. 2. Room was clean and tidy with modern fixtures. We had a downtown view of the street. 3. Complimentary coffee and ice water was always available in the lobby. 4. The onsite gym and basic equipment and was kept tidy. 5. There was a rooftop outdoor lounge that provided a great view of the city. Checked in Sunday. The parking was insane at $36 per night and it was in some sketchy parking garage. So we stayed at 2 rooms during our stay. The first room was very noisy where we heard a lot of yelling on the streets every night. The TV channels were mostly shown in low quality and a lot of the HBO/Showtime channels either were shown with the screen minimized or were simply unplayable. Also, it kept asking for an update every minute, which kept restarting the TV and it was hopeless after multiple attempts. We sent our complaints to the front desk and they told us that the manager was not there on multiple occasions. We finally had enough of the first room and put in a request to move to a better/quieter room. This was when we finally got to meet the manager, who got us another room right away. The second room was slightly better but the beds were super uncomfortable and we still heard a bit of noise, now from the floors above us. The space between the 2 beds was so tight we weren't able to move around much. Our first room had access to Hulu, etc. and TV was hooked to WIFI. The second room TV could not connect to WIFI, so we called for help. 2 female staff came in and one of them had a major attitude while the other one remained quiet the whole time. The one with the attitude told us that we weren't even supposed to have access to streaming services in the first place or WIFI on the TV. How rude and unprofessional can you be? Also, one elevator didn't work on the last day. Never ever again! read more

If you're looking at this hotel, just do it. Service was friendly, the entire hotel is very clean, beds were comfy and they have a really cool rooftop area where you can bring drinks up to and relax. They even have heaters up there that you can turn on. They have secured parking that is completely gated and my oversized truck fit down there (7 foot clearance). This is now my "Go-To" hotel if staying in downtown Seattle. It's within walking distance to the Space Needle and the Climate Pledge arena. Having lived in Seattle for years, I will always have a soft spot for Lower Queen Anne, so this seemed like the logical conclusion for a girls long weekend trip back to Seattle. I was not wrong either - the location was spot on perfect. It is easy to get around the city either by bus or Uber or just on foot. It is a 10-minute walk to the Space Needle and less than 10 minutes to some of my favorite bars in the city. We were treated so well by the staff. From the moment we walked in, they treated us right, and we never had less than a good experience with anyone. We were even given an upgrade for booking directly with the hotel, so we were given a view of the Sound from the top floor. It was glorious, and I felt so spoiled. My friend, who had only been to Seattle once or twice, was even more in heaven. Even better, the windows opened wide to let fresh air in, but there was also an air conditioner/heater, if needed. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was sparkling clean. We had two double beds, and both were comfortable, and we got great sleep. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. The hotel had nice little amenities like a coffee bar in the lobby (as well as a Starbucks attached to the lobby) and a small gym. They also cheerfully held our luggage after we checked out. And that rooftop can't be not mentioned. They had a lovely rooftop terrace with some seating and heaters to look at the stunning view. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, especially if I could get an awesome view like we had this time! read more

The hotel manager writes a laughably innaccurate accounting of the afternoon in question to save the hotel from embarrassment, with input no doubt from "Cesar" the lone front desk clerk after the rude woman disappeared leaving me to get my bags to the Uber on my own. When I called "Cesar" to beg him to search for my eyeglasses in the storage room after I had almost missed my train (I had removed my eyeglasses in a fluster while trying to get my charging cord due to the abusive treatment of the female staffer), he flatly refused. I called the hotel the next morning where the very helpful Kyle went to the storage room, found the glasses and put them in the mail for me. Fire the girl and Cesar. Promote Kyle. If you insist on false character defamation on an online site, you will be reported to the Better Business Bureau and every other consumer protection agency. P.S. you say I was not charged for storing my luggage. I know of no hotel anywhere in the world even no stars that charge paying guests for luggage storage. O. P.P.S. Because this completely arrogant clueless manager has decided to resort to character assassination rather than do his job and offer an apology, I will include in Yelp what I included in TripAdvisor, namely that the TV worked 25 percent of the time, turning off at least 6 times during my 2 day stay. When it shut off at 3 am I went down to the lobby and the very friendly Ethiopian front desk clerk and I had a fascinating discussion about languages. Do you know that nearly 100 languages are spoken in Ethiopia and more than 8000 languages are spoken in NYC. Anyway I left my card at the front desk Monday morning..the manager never called....I also messaged him about the rude and disrespectful treatment I received when trying to get my bags. Again no response. That is when I posted an online review and he resorter to false character defamation. This is a nice hotel. It deserves better management. read more

Great location if your doing anything at Climate Pledge, about a two block walk from the door the area. Good location, my wife and I walked everywhere we went. Safeway is close as well at restaurants and bars. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms were modern. We had an inside room so no view except for inside other rooms so blinds shut the whole time. Bed was good, pillows were bad for us but that's a preference so not downgrading for pillows. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the hallway (not the room) smelled like it was an old smoking floor. Elevator is extremely slow so we took the stairs. All staff were friendly, nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when we attend an event. Cheers! read more

I chose Mediterranean Inn as the hotel is close to the piers where we planned to take a cruise. Getting dropped off at the hotel, I immediately liked the looks of the Mediterranean Inn. The neighborhood is, well, urban grit..but that's ok..after all, this is Seattle not Beverly Hills! The agent at the front desk, Armani, was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We went to our room which was absolutely immaculate! My # 1 criteria for a hotel room is it must be clean & ours certainly was!! The next morning we enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby, plus there's a water beverage kiosk also. The lobby is homey & comfortable. There's a great computer room to use, as well as a computer in the lobby. Don't miss the rooftop..go up & enjoy the views! We checked out at noon but as our flight was much later that night we wanted to explore Pikes Market. Kay, the lovely receptionist at the front desk, stored our luggage. Kay was so helpful in getting us a car service to Seattle Tacoma Airport also. I highly recommend Mediterranean Inn..the positive vibes of the hotel shows in that owner/ company " cares " ! The hotel itself isn't anything super special but it was a comfortable and clean place to rest, which is much more than you can say for most places nowadays!! It was a little bit noisy in the mornings but we brought our white noise machine from home. The elevators were slow, very very slow. The parking price at the hotel was fair at $30/night compare to other places in the area. $10-$30/hour +tax. Spent way too much on parking this trip. I stayed one night at the Mediterranean Inn before heading out to the Seattle terminal the next day. There were four of us in two rooms. The staff was WONDERFUL, friendly and helpful and the roof top was the perfect spot late in the evening as well as early in the morning. I've read mixed reviews on the rooms and at first I could not understand why there would be any negative mentions and I think I know why. The room I was in was clean and comfortable, and had BIG floor to ceiling windows looking out over the city, while the room my companions were in, was clean and comfortable, but had two small windows, giving the room a cramped feeling. The BIG windows made a BIG difference, Lol! After a great nights sleep, we all packed into a passenger van that met us right at the front door of the Inn and headed to the terminal! read more

I had such a great experience at this hotel! My mother in law booked it to be walking distance to the Starbucks reserve, space needle, the market place, etc. short mile to two mile walks. When we checked in I believe it was Elvira that checked us all in. She was sweet, gave us a map, showed us how to walk everywhere or how to use the public transportation. She really went above and beyond to help us out! She even printed out our tickets for our tour! Thank you! We only stayed Friday to Sunday. There was a hockey game that weekend so lots of hockey fans were staying. For the most part it is very quiet, clean, they have complementary coffee, water, etc. by the elevators and if you forget something at home they have extras for you! One elevator was a little slow and out of service for a little but who really cares? Anyways, the night of the game.. wow, talk about loud AF when everyone came in! Some girl screaming off the top of her lungs.. smh. But it's not the hotels fault. Then, I want to give a special shout out to my girl Kara! She was also very helpful and kind! I think she works the night/afternoon shift. Friday night she explained how uber eats works there, she called me when the guy was coming up. She brought us up coffee and other items we needed. She also answered all of our questions and assisted us with such grace! She also went above and beyond for us and we appreciate how well we were treated. I would come back again! I was looking for a hotel that was in walking distance to attractions and restaurants in Seattle that also had parking. Mediterranean came up in my search and because I booked direct through their website, they upgraded us to a room with a King Size bed. Overall, it was fine. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern and bright and there are a variety of dining options in walking distance along with a Starbucks right next door, The main pros: Decent gym that was empty in the morning, free infused water and coffee all day, really good size bath towels and the crown jewel, their rooftop deck with water and Space Needle views. It was also in walking distance to the Chihuly Museum and the Space Needle. The cons: On our second night/morning there, the alarm blared at 6 am. It was not set the night we arrived or that second night before bed, so housekeeping is really the only explanation. Who would do that? It was very jarring. Rooms are kind of cramped-I can't see staying here more than 2 nights. Elevators are SLOW and crowded-expect to wait. A few times I just opted for the stairs Finally, this is a hub for cruise ship passengers so we encountered large groups spending the night there before or after their trip. Nothing wrong with that, but expect a crowded roof top during Alaska cruise season and a chaotic lobby. Would recommend if you're there for a short time and need the convenience factor. read more

We arrived extremely late due to a delayed flight. They were so friendly with check in and made the process seamless and quick. The rooms are cute and very clean. They have a sign in the bathroom offering if you forgot anything to see the desk and they will provide it for you. That is awesome that they have the available. The bath towels are HUGE! I love them. Typical bathroom towels are tiny and and tough. These felt like a nice long dress. We had a view of the neighborhood and it was nice to be able to open the windows and listen to the birds chirp in the morning. Each day when you come and go, the staff greets you and are always smiling. They seem like they are love their job. The best part of everything though is the rooftop patio. There isn't a bar but they encourage you to bring any drinks up and they will even provide you plasticware for your cocktails. The view of downtown and the space needle are incredible. They have chairs scattered across the patio. It is so soothing to enjoy the view while the moon goes through the buildings downtown. I would definitely stay here again for our next Seattle trip. read more

First off, Elvira at the front desk is excellent at customer service. Friendly, helpful and welcoming, all the staff were equally as pleasant to deal with, but we interacted with her the most. The hotel is clean and well decorated but they do have the worlds slowest elevator. No continental breakfast so if that's your thing I wouldn't book here, they do have delicious free coffee and tea though! The room was clean and a comfortable size, but the bed felt like cardboard. The sheets also felt somewhat scratchy to us but that is personal preference. Loved that they had a shuttle to get us to and from our cruise ship. We also appreciated the fact we could have our bags safely stored at the hotel while we explored the city waiting for a room to be available. If you need a fairly priced hotel for a night or two then these folks are a great choice! But if you like soft beds and extended comfort stays, might not be up your alley. read more

$325 for this! The sheets are thread bare and the bed is slumped and worse than a motel 6. The place was remodeled in the late 80s. It's like a tacky time capsule. It's comparable to an econo lodge. It reminds me of the high priced beach side flop Motels, but there is no beach. The room was small and the bed was pushed against the window ac. There was approx 6 inches between the two small Double beds. Only one elevator works- and it moves soooo slow. The bathroom mirror is on crooked. The tv almost fell off the wall. There was no closet door just a sheet. No restaurant, but they have a Starbucks. The customer service was friendly , lots of staff but they seem busy chatting amongst themselves and preoccupied. Our room was ready and they never noticed us even though we were waiting in the lobby the entire time. I didn't feel like they are organized. The area around the hotel is ok, esp for seattle. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hyatt nearby that includes brekkie. Mediterranean inn, if you read this, please do some remodeling. It needs it desperately. read more

I can not say enough good about this place. The environment is great, friendly staff, cozy room, clean and well kept grounds. Conveniently located on top of Starbucks, just down the stairs and you get your morning coffee. Roof top is beautiful with heaters and such a scenic view. Bed was comfortable, each day housekeeper went out of their way to clean the room and make it good as new, housekeeper was very sweet and friendly, professional. we will definitely stay here for our future overnight visits to downtown seattle. the birthday dinner was going to be very expensive so we were hoping to find a reasonably priced hotel for the night in downtown seattle. the Mediterranean Inn fit our needs perfectly. the price was right: one night stay in a single queen room and paid parking in their garage was under $200! with prices like this, i did not miss the continental breakfast in the lobby or a happy hour in the lobby which i am sure adds to the price of the rooms. they do not have a restaurant or a bar. a take-out only Starbucks is attached to the hotel. the room, and simple straightforward furnishings were well-maintained. the queen bed was medium-firm and comfortable. we watched a cruise ship set sail from our 6th-floor window. coffee and coffee maker is in the room as well as the promised snack (popcorn) in the cupboard. there is a microwave (popcorn!) and an empty refrigerator. it was actually refreshing to have an empty fridge that was not stocked full with over-priced drinks and snacks. and! the cable channel offerings were honest to goodness cable channels, not the pared-down list that seems to be the standard at many hotels nowadays. you will never miss your favorite show when you stay here. bathroom amenities were as expected: lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryer. the bath towels were extra-long body sheets that i really appreciated. there is a rooftop patio over-looking the city, and the sound. the front desk will provide glasses for your BYOB bottles of wine, etc. there is a safeway conveniently located across the street. great location: 1 block away from Mercer St, where there are myriad dining establishments to choose from. 3 blocks from the seattle center and an easy walk to the Climate Pledge Arena. if we had wanted to go to the downtown core for some shopping, we could have easily taken the monorail to westlake center. staffing for the front desk was above expectations: all three positions were staffed at check-in time of 4 p.m. with an additional "concierge" at the front door. at 11 a.m. 1 hr before the noon checkout, again the front desk was fully staffed. the staff are polite, helpful, and pleasant. don't forget to hang the "do not disturb" tag on your door. the housekeepers start early. there is some noise you can hear from the hallway. This is a sweet place! Looking for a medium-priced, comfortable place to stay, I discovered the Mediterranean Inn on Lower Queen Anne (Uptown) just before the pandemic, and I was very happy with it. My partner and I got a chance, in the interim restrictions-lifting, to take a little jaunt to Seattle. It was no question where we would stay this time (plus we got a nice deal--always good.) The second time around was just as sweet. The staff are incredible! I remembered our check-in guy from last time, who helped us again--he was so dear, helpful and informative. Our room was very nice and comfortable, and I need to always remember to ask for an interior-facing room because it was so quiet. We looked down into a pleasant interior courtyard and could hear absolutely nothing from the busy Queen Anne Avenue North traffic on the other side. The art work was intriguing and fun, and I enjoyed studying it. We were happy with our in-room amenities, and the parking option was great to have, which was a bargain. The roof top is a lovely place to hang out and enjoy, with fabulous and huge views of the sound. The fact that they had a variety of seating options was thoughtful. And then there was a special request I made. Staff connected me with Brian Zaugg, the General Manager. He was thoughtful, gracious, kind and generous. It's one thing to have a nice place to stay--but, for me, staff can really make or break a place. I will never forget Brian's response and what he did for me--cheerfully and with good humor. Highly recommended if you want a pleasant place to stay a little out of the downtown crush with great and frequent bus service only a block away. read more

This hotel has a lot going for it: - great location - convenient secure underground parking that you can do yourself. - coffee machine in room! - Quiet with black out blinds. - quality air conditioning. - fairly priced. So I would like to start with positives; Great location, beautiful view from terrace rooftop. Here's the thing this hotel is pretty much like a Quality Inn with breakfast, pool or any extras unless you want to hop on a bike. So with that being said they charge 350.00 plus a night and there was a cockroach in my shower!! It ran right past my toes into the drain. I tried to complain to mgmt but since it was a Saturday they weren't available. I was provided an email address which I promptly sent out to, "Sheila" and No response. Resent today...Zero reply I would NOT recommend the Roach Motel! read more

Lovely stay. The rooftop deck (see pictures) is just lovely. Room is small but functional. Staff are very courteous. Fitness room is clean and doesn't have a stupid Peloton. Very quiet over Labor Day weekend. Only caveat: elevator is slow AF. But the various staircases are carpeted and clean. read more
