There have been a lot of recent renovations at the Marqueen and it is a true gem. The building is originally from 1918 and they have preserved many vintage touches with great updates. I loved the nightstands that look midcentury but had little hidden power outlets and USB ports. The rain shower was lovely. Super soft towels, great bedding, great mattress. The best part of our stay was the bellman, Andrew. All staff is super friendly but Andrew is a gem. He is the penultimate bellman and clearly cherished in the neighborhood. The Tin Lizzie bar is wonderful as well. Yes, it is an old building. There's no AC or elevator. Still it's a perfect escape. We love the Queen Anne neighborhood. It is a perfect place to stay for events at Seattle Center and Climate Pledge. Great restaurants and I love the used book store. Go let Andrew park your car away for the weekend, ordered a whiskey sour at Tin Lizzie, and have a great time.

We stayed here August 24. We arrived around 10:00 AM and Andy the doorman took our luggage and put it in a holding room for guests who arrive before check-in time. Check-in was easy and the young receptionist was very friendly. Our room was very nice with wooden floors and a comfortable bed. The hotel provided a shuttle ride to the ship's dock for $10 a person which is a great price. It is far from downtown and isn't close to the light rail so you need a taxi or Uber to get around. There is a park that has the International Fountain which is about a 10 / 15 minute walk from the hotel. I highly recommend you go there on a Saturday night. It is very beautiful, tons of restaurants, entertainment, live music, lots of food trucks etc, etc, etc. Great place with awesome vibes. I'd definitely go back on my next visit for sure.

So happy we booked our stay here! Very pleasant and courteous staff! The hotel is easy to find in the Queen Anne district and has plenty of bars and dining options within walking distance. The service was so professional and the hotel and rooms are super clean! Would definitely recommend! Being the hotel is a historical building turned into a hotel made it so much more enjoyable for us!

Great location for Kraken games, room was more like a full apartment, the price was ridiculously good, and the place has so much character. It is also steps away from a few main bus lines. I only wish I had stayed for more than one night!

We really enjoyed our one night stay here while in town for the Pitbull concert. We didn't realize our room came with a small kitchen and a sleeper sofa so we were so excited to see that. Our room was a bit outdated and there was a tripping hazard of a step to get into the bathroom, but what can you expect from a 105 year old building? The lobby was very elegant and super friendly staff. Parking was $40 and valet only, which we weren't a fan of, but at least the car was in a safe place. We booked way ahead of the concert and chose the no cancelation price so it was super affordable. No need for an Uber to get to climate pledge arena, it was a super short walk!

This hotel sits on a nice block just a short walk away from the space needle and is surrounded by restaurants, bars, etc and is just about 1 block away from a grocery store which makes it a great spot if you want to be able to just skip out of your room and be close to a lot of conveniences and entertainment in this section of Seattle. Some street parking is available but not abundant, so I'd recommend the valet as it's super convenient to just give them the car and because you probably won't need it back unless you have some reason to drive across town during your stay. The hotel itself is relatively inexpensive but doesn't skimp on the details as far as giving you what you need in the room. A small kitchen area stocked with dishes/silverware etc are there in the event that you need them, and the room itself was quite large and had plenty of space. Exceptionally clean, professional yet warm service from the reception crew, and a lobby that is notable for its old school charm which you might love if you're into fancy restored old school hotel lobbies, (I loved it). Definitely not a cookie-cutter vibe, and there's a bar attached for your drinking pleasure. I booked this on a whim as I was passing through and given my experience with everything from the service to the room itself, I'd probably book it again given the location, the price and the fact that it exceeded my expectations and lacked nothing that I needed. Friendly, prompt, professional, clean, well located, charming, and appointed with all the necessities. 5 stars.

Just wanted to leave a quick review but I stayed here from March 11 - 14 and had a phenomenal stay. Staff was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area, very professional, and showed a level of hospitality I had never received at any other hotel I had visited before. Shout out to Andrew the door man. He was absolutely nice and charming and made that first day getting acclimated a breeze. Loved having the little kitchen in my room and having a coffee shop and lounge attached to the property was a nice amenity. Next time I come to Seattle I will probably stay here again. It was that satisfying.

We are fairly frequent visitors to the Seattle area in fact we are looking to get a second home/condo there in the Denny triangle area. But we decided to stay in the Queenanne neighborhood. We have never stayed in this neighborhood before. Seattle has so many distinct neighborhoods and this is one of the cool ones. Where this Hotel is located is right in the middle of the lower Queenanne area if you're staying here and thinking you're going to go to the upper Queenanne area because there is even more great restaurants and activities it is literally like going straight up hill. Lower Queenanne is close to the space needle and pretty much everything in the heart of town. Not too much steep walking. The restaurant across the street, Toulouse Petit is literally off the hook and one of the best restaurants we found in Seattle this trip. It's kind a got a Creole/Cajun menu but Extensive. But back to the hotel. We prefer to ground-floor unit because there is no elevator so if you're on the third floor I hope you like hoofing it. That said, you're going to want to be down the hall from the front desk and away from the bar if you're there on the weekend. Overall we love the hotel. The staff is exceptional. Very helpful every single person we talk to and the coffee shop that is attached to it is really great and not your typical Seattle Starbucks. It's just a neighborhood espresso spot and we loved it.

Classic beautiful hotel with huge rooms and excellent services. The very sweet and attentive lady working behind the counter when I call and checK in our rooms on 2/14/2020 evening after 9 pm. She is very friendly and helpful. One of the best hotel check-in experience I have received compared to any hotels. This is a hotel I really enjoyed my visit. It may be not a cup of tea for everyone. But I am sure everyone will love the location of the hotel and the wonderful customer services from the check-in, check out and the room service. I think the lady at the evening check in her name is Amber (sorry I may be wrong). She has everything ready before we get there. She is very friendly and polite with smiles all the time. She also calls the room service to bring us an extra blanket because the cold weather, Seattle was snowing at the time. The room service is also very friendly and speedy service. The gentlemen from room service are there at the same time when we walk into our rooms. The lobby of the hotel is very beautiful. It looks very nice. I almost think I'm in a classic cruise ship. The guest rooms are bigger than most of the hotel rooms. It has a separate section for seating and a full-size kitchen with a microwave and full-size refrigerator. Both my room and my friend's room also has a breakfast area. However, breakfast is not included. But I think they have a very nice restaurant in the hotel which we did not try! The reason I have to take one star out is that because of the maintenance! I love the classic style of hotel decorations. But some areas in the room will need to touch up or replace. The bathtub in our room is rusted in a little area. The bathroom faucet is very hard to turn. I hope their management can pay more attention to these little items too!

We're flying into Seattle and do not want to rent a car. What's the best way to get to the hotel from the airport? Is there a shuttle?

we took the link rail which cost $3 from the airport to westlake station (about a 30min ride). from there, you can take the bus (not sure how that works) or take uber (around $10)

It great hotel beautiful place I love it?

It's a nice hotel. A little older like a boutique hotel. Very cute, air conditioning, nice location. No parking lot though. You can use their valet service or find your own street parking. We enjoyed our stay there!

The staff definitely leave something to be desired. I found them a mixture of condescending and rude. We requested early check in and where informed our room was not ready. Than watched them check in couple after couple. 2.5 hours later we got our early check in. A whole 15 minutes early. This was after it supposedly took them 45 minutes to clean the room. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

Finally, after a very long wait we were given keys to our room. I asked about any type of breakfast or happy hour. They don't offer any of that. The room has no little refrigerator other than a cooler drawer filled with outrageously priced snacks and alcohol. Good thing we didn't have medications that needed refrigeration. There's no microwave. There's no condiments for coffee or tea. There's a Nespresso maker for those people who enjoy Nespresso. I'm not one who particularly enjoys Nespresso. There were no pods anywhere. I asked for some at the front desk and I was told that it's hidden in the room somewhere. When we came back and our room was ready, my husband did call down and mentioned it was our anniversary since they had confirmed in previously but we didn't see anything in the room, and they were very kind to bring up a little treat for us including some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. The room itself was spacious and clean with a great view of the city (we had a corner view). The bath tub had a fun feature (water to fill the tub came from a ceiling faucet rather than attached to the tub. The towels were large and fluffy and overall ambience was relaxing with a couch in the room. Check out was smooth and they had our bill ready and everything was easy/correct so we did not have to worry. We also did have late check out, which was pleasant as we could have a leisurely morning. We did try the restaurant (All Water) both for dinner and brunch the next day. Service was very slow unfortunately for the restaurant (it took 1.5 hours while the restaurant wasn't busy, and they did forget our side of grilled broccolini until after we finished our meals/reminded them). We tried the tuna hamachi crudo, clams and mussels, roasted hen of the woods and grilled broccolini. The tuna hamachi crudo was good, though I was hoping for more brightness in the flavor. I enjoyed the clams and mussels as well as the roasted hen of the woods overall, but felt the grilled broccolini was a little too dry (seemed grilled without any oil or seasoning). We did also try a few seasonal mocktails which were delicious and the highlight of the meal. Brunch the next day was take out and we went with a steak and eggs and a caesar salad. Both were solid, but note that the caesar salad came with actual little sardines, so for those picky eaters, this may be a bit much.

It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. I would wholeheartedly stay here again!

Upon entry to the room, I was greeted with a small (and delicious) cake, sparkling wine, and a handwritten card with bday wishes. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. In the morning at the lobby, they had local coffee and mini-donuts or muffins. In the late afternoon in the lobby, they had pink lemonade and snacks (gummy bears, brownies, nuts/dried fruit). Location was a quick 5 min walk to Pike Market which was a fun place to pick up souvenirs made by local artisan to bring home. So much good food as well (Sushi Koshiba, Place Pigelle, The Pink Door, Piroshky Piroshky)

The downtown area, Pike Place market, the overlook deck, all were within 10 minutes walking distance. Despite arriving few minutes past midnight, our check-in process was easy. The room was well furnished. All amenities in the room and bathroom worked fine. Our room had a balcony with full glass window. Since the building was U shaped, all the rooms from other side could see our room, and vice versa. So, the setup was not best privacy wise, we had to use the curtains most of the time. But we got a gorgeous view of the pear and mountain range from the room. The lobby area also had wonderful interior and plenty of areas to sit. The hotel had M lounge where we were able to get snack and drinks throughout our stay. There was one restaurant adjacent to the hotel and a bar as well that appeared to get busy around dinner hours. All staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had gym and pool as well. The pool was split into half indoor and half outdoor. The water was bit warm, so despite the weather being chili outside, we were able to use the pool. But the disappointing part the floor area around the pool was so under maintained. There were cracks, dirt, uncovered holes, things that I had rarely seen for a Marriott hotel. Our room was also next to a portion of the building's roof that had bird poop, dirt, and weed. Though we had a wonderful time staying at this hotel, some these minor factors were sore eye to the experience.

I called reservations who said they would allow me to move the reservation to another night for $800 and waive the cancellation fee $500. The front desk stooge said no, they would not waive the fee. So a Platinum member who always shows up, never complains literally can't get to the hotel and even partial refund. Bullshit. I will NEVER stay at your half ass hotel.
