Amazing little gem in one of the busiest parts of Seattle. Walkable distance from Pike and Pine streets and a big variety of cute restaurants and venues in the area. Also, easily walkable to DT Seattle,- it's only 20 mins away. Super cute inside, big hotel rooms, staff is nice and friendly, hotel makes you wanna stay in it! It offers parking but it is also possible to find parking in the area. The area itself is rather nice. Super happy I stayed at this hotel. read more

Amazing experience! My mom was at harbor view and it was a tough time and they were all very kind and accommodating. I grabbed a bag and headed to Seattle and didn't have much with me and they went out of their way to get me what I needed. The restaurant that was in the hotel I think it was called Jimmy's was so good service was spot on and food was great. Would recommend the hotel and the restaurant 100% read more

Incredible hotel with very nice rooms, convenient gift shop, a bar next door and a cool/stylish lobby. It'd be cool if they had a restaurant but I believe Jimmy's next door serves that purpose. Not sure if they have a gym or pool but maybe I missed that. Highly recommended! read more

Overall, very good experience. A highlight were the beds, firm (but not hard) and so comfortable. Hotel is very well kept. Parking garage (with unlimited in and out) maybe not great for larger vehicles as entry is tight (I think it was $40/night). Pretty sure on street parking is free on Sundays. Also, accessing check-in and garage parking takes a keen eye for a first time guest (it's from Broadway but you have to cut across the bicycle lane that runs next to the sidewalk). It's in an area with lots of restaurants and bars so some late night noise could occur. We will stay there again. read more

The parking lot was a little bit confusing. The front desk forgot to explain there was a sensor to open the garage gate. The room was inviting and comfortable. The set up of the room was very straight forward and flowed well. There were plenty of pillows and towels provided for our family. I really liked that they provided Aveda bath products. Location is great in the university area walking distance to many places. Rooms are clean bed was comfortable, Big screen tv. One big plus is actually having a window that opens. This feels like a 3 &1/2 star because it's very basic. But the breakfast was good with many choices to push the rating up. All the staff were great as well. My daughter was accepted to Seattle University and Silver Cloud and SeattleU have a partnership that you could stay there one night complimentary if your student attended Admitted Student Day. What a deal if you are coming from our of town which we were! The hotel is not fancy or new, but it is clean, the staff prompt and welcoming. My daughter even received SeattleU swag upon checking in and the location is key. Directly across the street was the campus. The rooms and beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and extra counter space with a large mirror. The only drawback is that parking was $50 a day, a high amount but well worth it as there currently is quite a bit of road construction which limits street parking. Stayed for one week while our apartment complex was working on water damage. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower (stayed in a bit longer than normal), Aveda products, microwave, sink, and small refrigerator in the room. Asked the representative to put us in the room that he would want to stay in. He chose the end of the hallway on the opposite side of the building where there was construction going on. Nice and quiet. Parking underneath and a small workout gym available. read more

Hotel under construction on floors, our floor with no ice, broken. Went down to third floor, plastic and taped off, under construction sign. Had to go down to restaurant, Jimmys attached to hotel. No one out on floor, so I used the metal scoop and placed ice in drink cup. Then after spending all day at hospital, husband had surgery, walked back to hotel. Had to inform them 4th floor ice machine broken. Went to room, and room key did not work. Called on outside black hall phone and we are in a handicap room, lady says to me, "Just come down and I'll make u another key." Explained, I've had no sleep, walked to hotel and I don't want to go back to lobby, please send someone up. As you can guess, no one came. I went down and mind you, when u came up, there were two ladies at desk. When I went down, one lady standing there. One checking someone in. She stated she was busy. I guess other employ couldn't come up. I asked why key not working. Manager on duty came up, walked me to my room, to make sure key worked. Poor thing, I was angry at lazy staff, and to even ask me to come down there, when it is hotel error. First time here, things were smoother. This time, no communication. Gave us no handicap room, king bed, husband having shoulder surgery, when I get him back to hotel, can't sleep in bed with him, as very painful. Got 2 queens. Housekeeping good, morning front desk staff good. Do not stay here if you are staying for resturant food to be close to hotel. Restyrant, Jimmy on Broadway, horrible. Same thing, no manager on duty Monday night 4/21/25, food came out cold and burned! Better to stay somewhere else, and take uber or taxi to hospital. Also, if you don't love the orders from new carpet smell, DO NOT stay here!!!! read more

I have stayed at the Silver Cloud several times over the years; the last time was about 2 years ago. I've always had a positive experience, but this time was over and above. First, I received a free upgrade to a king jacuzzi when I checked in -- not sure why, didn't question it, just expressed gratitude and took advantage of that jacuzzi! The room was spotless -- the bed extremely comfortable. Love the Aveda products. The front desk staff were nice, accommodating, helpful -- all of the things one would hope for in hospitality. I ordered room service and ate in at Jimmy's and the food was excellent -- had a salad each time, and it was fresh and delivered quickly. A number of people have complained about the price of on-site parking; in my experience as a frequent business traveler, this is standard practice. The price is reflective of the rising overall costs of traveling to and living in Seattle. What folks should be aware of/ask about are any additional charges above the parking fee. The parking taxes are quite high, and that's not the fault of the hotel. I learned the hard way staying elsewhere that it's up to us as the consumers to ask these questions! The location of the hotel is also prime -- there are wonderful cafes, restaurants and bars within blocks, and the university right around the corner. Definitely plan for this to be my go-to hotel whenever I return to Seattle. read more

This hotel is everything you should expect from a hotel. Clean room Friendly staff. Nice bed and pillows. Great room display. Only place you lose to was not having more options for drinks. Small amount of options in vending machines and mostly energy drinks in the main lobby fridges. So a small downer but nothing that won't earn you 5 stars. Definitely pleased with our stay and will likely use this hotel In the future. read more

Pretty nice hotel, not anything amazing for the price though. The location I guess is what makes this place a gem. Unfortunately that was back when people actually wanted to go to Seattle. Now that I'm writing this review I realize why they have all the safety measures in place (which at the time was incredibly annoying, however it does make sense now). Can't ride the elevator without putting in your room key, all doors are locked, seriously long check in process, etc. The room was nice and spacious, microwave, mini fridge, and small coffee pot. Nothing really different than any other place that might be a little further away. Staff was friendly, and kept things VERY secure. Only downside was that the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we all had to evacuate. Apparently our friends alarm never did get turned off and nobody was able to help (this went on for hours). They eventually had to go sleep in a different room. A little ridiculous when we paid $300 plus (that was with a discount) at 5 am! I would stay here if you need to be RIGHT on Cap Hill, otherwise try to find somewhere cheaper if you're not into dropping the big bucks. read more

Clean, comfy and in a great location, at the nightly rate they offer this place definitely treats you right. They have plenty of parking but you'll have to pay an overnight fee, but no complaints as it's a safe garage. Amenities are very standard and the staff were friendly throughout. Only complaint is the walls seem a little thin - heard some late conversations from another room and was surprised by how clearly I could hear the details of their conversation about bars to visit while in town (Pie Bar - seriously do it!) Overall, very relaxing stay. This place keeps you tucked in, safe, and warm when you return from your adventures. Happy Hoteling! read more

I really like this hotel. We've stayed in several Seattle hotels and this one is my favorite because of location and it's a nice place. We've stayed here many times. Just a couple issues. I encountered a homeless person in the hall in the middle of the night once, but that was a while ago and Security responded immediately. The showers are all great, but the toilets suck in every room I've stayed in. They're low water toilets and you have to hold the handles down a long time or you have to wait for the tank to completely fill up before you try again. But the desk staff and housekeeping staff are great and the accommodations are very clean and nice. Oh, more times than not, the phones were either dead or the phone wire clip was broken and it falls out. But we all have cell phones now, right? Anyway, I really love staying here! Shout out to Murdoch, the man to see when you need to get things done. Thanx for finding my charger! read more

I also like they have a parking garage and the hotel overall seems very safe and secure. Seattle, WA - Silver Cloud Inn & Hotel This hotel is very convenient if you're in town to go to Swedish Hospital. What a great hotel with a touch of class. The front desk employees were professional and kind every time I interacted with them. I'd never stayed here before and I was very surprised at the level of quality it provides. There's laundry facilities for guest that was surprisingly complimentary. There's also a shuttle bus that will drop you off at a couple places, that's a great option. There's a restaurant in the hotel and across the street there's a Whole Foods. A few blocks walk there's another grocery option that offers more variety and restaurants within walking distance. Other then the hotel parking fee being a bit high the hotel room itself was affordable and I'd consider staying here again. read more

Cash and card accepted (paid via cash for the mini store items and paid by card for the room reservation). Silver Cloud - Broadway is located on Broadway across from Whole Foods and offers parking for a fee but free shuttle service to Pike Place Market. The shuttle runs every 30 min. (top of the hour and half hour) and you have to be ready in the lobby at least 5 minutes before it leaves. I thought this location had free breakfast and a pool but no free breakfast is offered and I didn't see a pool. However, you get free wifi and there is a small gym available. The front desk employees were very helpful and polite. This hotel also offers a free pack n play during the stay for infants /toddlers. I got a room with 2 queens and it was a standard room. The beds were a little too soft for my back though. Overall I thought the hotel was ok and convenient, as it was close to a lot of restaurants. The free shuttle to a Pike Place Market was also as plus. read more

Located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle Silver Cloud is situated in a area full of eateries making this an ideal situation for us foodies :). We were only blocks away from several popular spots like Kaladi Brother's Coffee, Marination Station and Pike Place Fish Fry. Silver Cloud runs a complimentary shuttle which is fabulous! After taking Link from Seatac to Downtown we called the hotel and the shuttle picked us up a block from our drop off point at Link! The shuttle runs from 8:30a-10:30p and will take you as far away as Westport. From the hotel the shuttle departs every half hour and for pick up you call into the hotel and the shuttle will pick you up from one of the established drop off points. We used the shuttle everyday and never had to wait more than five minutes! The drivers are bellman at the hotel and were friendly and informative for the most part. If you use the shuttle be sure to tip these hard working drivers! By using Link and the shuttle service we saved over $200 in rental car and parking fee's. The hotel itself was nicely appointed and at check in Christy was awesome. My wife asked how much it would cost to upgrade our room to a Jacuzzi room. The fee was $30 per night so I advised my wife go ahead since it is our anniversary. Upon hearing it was our wedding anniversary Christy upgraded our room at no additional charge YAY! Wow what a great gift to customers who had never stayed at Silver Cloud before, kudo's to Christy and the management team which empowered her to make these decisions. Our room/suite was very nice, located on the fourth floor away from traffic we had the following: small kitchen area, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink in kitchen area, jacuzzi, flat screen with HBO, Aveda brand bathroom products and a fireplace! Since we bid for our room on Price Line we got an amazing value for our trip. As long as you don't plan on leaving the immediate "Pike/Downtown" area I highly recommend this Hotel and avoiding a rental car all together. read more

Stayed here again in February 2020--another good experience! Everything was about the same as the last time, and this time I happened to get upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite for free, which was swell. I only stayed for one night again since I was traveling for business but it was another great stay. I don't think I put this in my last review but the location is nice--only a few blocks from the Capitol Hill Link light rail station (easy to walk to), close to great restaurants and cafes, and having a grocery store right across the street is very convenient. read more

We stayed in the King Suite at the end of the hall. What a totally cool design for a room. It's a continuous circle for the bedroom, bathroom and the extra living room. Very unique. In spite of being located in a very loud neighborhood on Broadway, it was actually very quiet at night. We took off one star because of what happened during check in. In the front of the hotel, there is room for two car lanes by the front door. The left lane is to temporarily part your car, and the right line is for thru traffic, either to leave or to go to the parking garage. After we had checked in, we came back to our car in the front and discovered that someone had parked in the thru lane. We were blocked and could not move. I went inside and asked the front desk to have the other patrons move their car. They said it would be just a minute - instead.. they didn't say a thing to the other customers and we had to wait for another 10 minutes for them to check in so they would fiinally move their car.... Not a good way to start off the visit... read more

Staff at hotel are extremely nice. One of the main amities I liked here was they had a pool and hot tub to use after days of meetings. Arrived this time to find they no longer have either. Hotel is located in First Hill with great access to lots of food and other attractions. Jimmy's, restaurant in lobby, is overpriced and underwhelming. read more

When planning my trip to Seattle... My very first trip! Somehow my reservations became absolutely chaotic! I had wanted the hotel by the stadium to go to the game. Somehow my reservation was for Broadway. When I called the Broadway Hotel to try and figure it out and change the reservation I spoke to two absolutely wonderful people! First I encountered Elliot. A very professional, considerate front desk clerk. He tried to help me and saw how confusing it was and handed me off to Leanne. Leanne was incredibly helpful and polite... And very patient with me and my situation. Both she and Elliot helped me to fix the reservation and I did stay at the Broadway location at the recommendation of Leanne and Elliot. My stay here was absolutely wonderful! The staff were kind, patient, considerate and Instrumental in making my first visit to Seattle absolutely wonderful! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough based on the performance of their employees. Well done! I look forward to coming back and staying at the Silver cloud Broadway Hotel when I return to Seattle!!! read more

The hotel is nice enough. But, they say they have secured parking which it's not! They don't even have security cameras and anybody who drives through the front can open the gate. They have attached/covered parking. Most of the staff was great. The only reason we stayed for nearly two months was it was close to the hospital. Not a place I would stay again. read more
