The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

Because I often use Hyatt points, I find I am usually placed in a room very close to and facing another building/ parking garage . . . making the room very dark and without any view. Sigh . . . so make sure to ask the front desk if you can get a room that doesn't face another building that feels like it's 8 feet away. I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The Hotel occupies the first 10 floors of the ARRIVE Building where the floors above are dedicated to the residents and they share the common areas with the hotel guests. Upon arriving at the front desk, I checked in and was told the room would be ready shortly but it was more like 4 hours later. I found the front desk staff to be professional but not very friendly. There is a lounge area on the 7th floor with a bar and indoor / outdoor seating. At night it is particularly nice because there is an electric fire pit with great seating and view of the Space Needle. Again, the bar staff was professional but not very welcoming. The room we stayed in was a corner room but it only had one windows on one wall so the room stayed pretty dark. It was comfortable and cool with very good bedding. The bathroom was great and it even had a heated floor. Check-out was okay eventhough they had to adjust our bill because we were not credited our Hilton Honors credit for both of us in the room which took a while. It seems that the ride share car services wait outside the hotel on cruise ship mornings so getting a car takes only a minute or two. I would stay at this property again with hopes for a more welcoming staff.

The breakfast here is excellent, especially the made to order omelettes. Kudos to their breakfast staff. The eating area is very pleasant & clean too. There is a free shuttle bus from ES to most attractions. We used it to get to Pikes Market, the Aquarium & the Space needle. The free shuttle shows up on the Google Maps App.

It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.

The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. **1 Hotel Seattle -- 2125 Terry Ave** **Stay: September 21-24, 2026** **Rating: 1/5. Do not book this hotel.** I reserved three nights at 1 Hotel Seattle, September 21 through 24. My travel was delayed. I still arrived in the early afternoon on the first day of my reservation -- the day I had paid for -- exhausted, with a confirmed booking. Front desk told me the hotel had already cancelled the *entire* reservation at 2:00 a.m. that same morning because I had not checked in yet. Not the first night. The whole stay. They said the hotel was fully booked and they would not honor my reservation. They also refused to give me even the third night, which they admitted still had rooms. There was no warning of a 2 a.m. same-day cancellation in the confirmation email. No call. No text. No courtesy email before they killed the booking, and none after. I found out standing at the desk after a delayed trip. Their own published policy does not say this. It says a no-show is charged **one night's room and tax**. That is not what they did. They voided three nights, kept the money, and sent me into the street. When I asked for a refund they hid behind "policy" -- the same policy they neither disclosed in the booking email nor followed. I paid $1,500 last-minute for two nights at a three-star hotel I never wanted. That is what "sustainable luxury" and a Michelin Key bought me: a cancelled reservation, a full house, and a staff that made almost no effort to fix a problem they created. I have stayed in hotels of this price and this pretension all over the country. I have never been treated this poorly. The building can be full of reclaimed wood and living walls. None of that matters if the front desk will erase your stay at 2 a.m., refuse the nights that are still empty, and then lecture you about a policy they printed and then ignored. Stay somewhere else. If you are already booked here, call them *before* travel and get the no-show rule in writing. I would not send the most desperate traveler to this desk. read more

Had we known reservations were necessary, we would have made one. The kitchen also seemed VERY VERY slow, both at breakfast and dinner. Our room was lovely, but unfortunately faced an area where seagulls and pigeons gathered day and night, so the view was disappointing and the noise made it difficult to sleep. Overall, it's a nice hotel with a lot going for it, but for the price we paid, I'm not sure I would stay here again. They also charged me extra after my checkout but not worth calling them- take sure you double check your balance! I'd also recommend checking whether there's a major event or game happening during your stay, as that seemed to impact availability of the hotel's amenities.

The bathroom is a little dated (still has a combination tub/ shower which I actually prefer) but again, no difficult to figure out shower controls. So what made this a 5 star stay? The desk clerk gave me a lower rate than I had booked on line. Then we checked out a day early as my hospital stay was shorter than expected. Crankypants left my hair dryer in the room. I didn't miss it for 4 months yet when I called, they actually had it!

They were very apologetic about it. Things happen and they responded very quickly. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay at the Paramount Hotel. Complimentary coffee in the lobby ends promptly at 7:00 and from then on you need to patronize their rather mediocre coffee and snack bar or the far superior bagel shop in the Hyatt right next door. I'm also a member of their loyalty program after filling out a questionnaire with such questions as to my pillow preference or whether I preferred sweet or salty snacks. Neither were provided during my most recent visit. Front desk and staff are both top notch and the location really can't be beat. They're about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place Market, 5 minutes to Nordstrom (literally the nicest department store I've ever seen) and an even shorter walk to my son's Seattle apartment which is why I'm there so often. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have mentioned, only one elevator works which has been the case for at least the past year & 1/2 which is how long I've been staying there. According to the front desk staff, they had it fixed but some rowdy hotel guests broke it again. Sorry, but this is totally inexcusable. Waits for the elevator can be excruciating, especially during peak hours when it's shared with laundry carts and maintenance crews. Cafe, like many in city hotels is wildly overpriced and just meh. Never tried the Asian place but I heard it's quite good. All in all, the Paramount is a solid choice that I will continue to choose. Just wish they would improve on the points I made and earn themselves another star or two.

I stayed here 6 years ago and had a good experience, so we decided to book our family of 10 here during a family vacation. Upon arriving for check in, the hotel staff would not allow my husband (with whom I share a last name) to check in without me presenting an ID. However, when we got locked out of our room three different times due to a deactivated room key, NO identification from either party was requested to give out a new room key, causing a major safety rush. The parking garage was tiny, and it took about 30 minutes to check in and get to our room because of the painfully slow elevators. Our key stopped working the first day, so we had to walk down and back up the stairs to get our key fixed at 10pm (again, no identification required to get a new room key). This morning, there is no coffee in the lobby as apparently the machine is broken. To top it off, the hotel did not honor the discount it quoted us at booking, which we have emails and will be supporting with the credit card company. Hugely overpriced, and we will not be back again.

I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The Hotel occupies the first 10 floors of the ARRIVE Building where the floors above are dedicated to the residents and they share the common areas with the hotel guests. Upon arriving at the front desk, I checked in and was told the room would be ready shortly but it was more like 4 hours later. I found the front desk staff to be professional but not very friendly. There is a lounge area on the 7th floor with a bar and indoor / outdoor seating. At night it is particularly nice because there is an electric fire pit with great seating and view of the Space Needle. Again, the bar staff was professional but not very welcoming. The room we stayed in was a corner room but it only had one windows on one wall so the room stayed pretty dark. It was comfortable and cool with very good bedding. The bathroom was great and it even had a heated floor. Check-out was okay eventhough they had to adjust our bill because we were not credited our Hilton Honors credit for both of us in the room which took a while. It seems that the ride share car services wait outside the hotel on cruise ship mornings so getting a car takes only a minute or two. I would stay at this property again with hopes for a more welcoming staff.

They boast that it's in such a walkable place, and the thing is, you can walk to so many things because of it's central location! That being said... the immediate neighborhood is one of the worst I've ever stayed in. Tons of drugs and unhoused folks. It was bearable during the day, but I would absolutely not recommend walking around at night. Before I say more about the room, I want to say that the staff was exceptional. Everyone at the front desk was so kind and helpful!! Now back to the room... It was an odd combination of icky furnishings with nice amenities. The sheets felt like the old sheets from the very back of someone's linen closet that haven't seen the light of day in 20 years. The room was small and uninviting, with a view of a back alley, directly into the apartments next door. There is one elevator that moves at a glacial pace, so I opted for the stairs as often as possible. In terms of amenities, there is a Nespresso Vertuo (the nicer one) in every room, LATHER bath products (which I love!), a rooftop, and free bikes/helmets to rent. They also offer a pick up service from the airport for about $70, and a van to the cruise terminals for $10/person. Additionally, you can show your keycard to "Biscuit Bitch" next door for 10% off your order, and I highly recommend taking advantage. All in all, it did the trick, but I'll explore other options next time I'm in Seattle.

We did not sleep for the full four nights we stayed. Even though we closed the windows, there was constant shouting, yelling, screaming, and sirens. We spoke with the front desk clerks and the manager, after asking the agency we booked through to be moved, sharing our concerns that the property had been listed as 1 minute from the waterfront (now changed on the site we booked through, after our conversation) and not downtown. We shared that we were not at all happy, mainly due to the noise at night and not being able to safely leave the hotel after dark, but the manager could not confirm that we would receive a refund if we left and booked somewhere else. We were therefore stuck at this property. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want no sleep, and not to be able to safely leave the hotel after dark. Find somewhere to stay in a better area. REBUTTAL: To say that we did not report this to your staff is a DOWNRIGHT LIE. We not only spoke to the personnel at the counter, but the manager himself called to discuss our issues. He told us that we could check out early, but he could not guarantee a refund for the days we would not be staying.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights leading up to an Alaska cruise about a month ago, and while…read moreI was a little nervous going in because the price was so much lower than other hotels in the downtown Seattle area, we were absolutely thrilled with our decision to stay here. The building does lack AC, but in early September right near the waterfront, this was by no means a problem. Daytime temperatures hovered around a high of 73, and even at the warmest part of the day we didn't find the room to be uncomfortable. Fans are provided in every room should you need them as well. We stayed in a suite on the 7th floor and while it was a bit on the more old-fashioned side and there weren't a lot of frills, we had more than everything we needed and plenty of space to unwind after exploring the city. The only negative for me was that I found the bed a bit too firm for my comfort, but since that is very subjective, I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying here because of it. We found every staff member we interacted with to be friendly and polite, and we didn't have any of the issues I've seen in several of the reviews in that regard.
