You Can't Run a Hotel on Décor and Vibes Alone The 1 Hotel Seattle is beautiful. The kind of beautiful that makes you wonder if functioning elevators are really necessary. We arrived at 6 PM, a comfortable three hours after the official 3 PM check-in time, to discover our room was not ready. Eventually, they found us one with a gorgeous view of the Space Needle. Beautifully designed, thoughtfully decorated, very Seattle. Then night fell. Apparently, soundproof windows did not make it onto the mood board. We spent the evening getting intimately acquainted with the sounds of every car, motorcycle, and emergency vehicle passing through downtown Seattle. When we ordered room service. It never came. We called again. Still nothing. On the third attempt, drinks finally materialized. They graciously comped it, which was appreciated, although by then it felt less like room service and more like we had won a case at small claims court. But the pièce de résistance were the elevators. This is a large hotel with two elevators, which already makes getting downstairs feel like trying to secure court side seats to the Knicks. Then one elevator stopped working. Then the other one stopped working. For two full days. Which is how we found ourselves descending an emergency stairwell in formalwear on our way to a wedding, my partner gathering up her dress and trying not to tumble down the stairs. Nothing says luxury hospitality quite like evacuating the building when there is no emergency. And then there's the soundtrack. At 7 AM, the lobby is already pumping music like it's the closing set at Coachella. I enjoy vibes, but don't require this many of them before caffeine. The staff is young, friendly, and clearly doing their best, so this doesn't feel like a people problem. It feels like a hotel that opened before the hotel part was finished. A steamer and water should not require seven hours and three phone calls. Room service should not require a search party. Windows should keep at least some of Seattle outside. And elevators should, as a general principle, elevate. The 1 Hotel absolutely nailed the décor, the location, and the vibe. Now they just need to nail the hotel. read more

An exceptional experience from start to finish! I stayed in the King City room with my partner last week and our stay at 1 Hotel Seattle was truly unforgettable and exceeded all of our expectations. From the beautiful interior designs and calming atmosphere to the thoughtful details throughout the property, every aspect of our visit felt intentional, elevated, and welcoming. What truly made our experience so special was the incredible staff. The Director of Front Office, Gene Oineza, and Mario from the front desk team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, taking the time to make sure we had everything we needed. This was our very first time visiting Seattle, they made us feel right at home and gave us such a warm welcome to the city. One thing that stood out throughout our stay was how authentically happy and engaged the staff were. Every team member we interacted with was kind, positive, and eager to help. It was clear that there is a strong culture of care and respect within their company. When a company truly takes care of its own people, it translates so naturally and clearly to the guest experience. That was absolutely reflected in every interaction we had here. If I could give 10 stars for this reason, I would! We loved the convenience of the complimentary car service, available upon request based on availability on a first-come-first-serve basis, which provides transportation within a 2-mile radius of the hotel. Their standard check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 11am. We were grateful that the team was able to accommodate our early check-in and late check-out requests (when available), which added an extra level of flexibility and hospitality to our experience. We appreciated the hotel's commitment to wellness and sustainability. The gym was spacious and well-equipped. It was inspiring to see how 1 Hotel incorporates eco-conscious practices into the guest experience, from the beautiful natural design elements to thoughtful details like recyclable room key cards. It's clear that sustainability is not just a concept here, but something that is genuinely integrated into the hotel's values and everyday operations. Such a cool hotel. We got a corner unit on the 6th floor with a clear view of the space needle. The bed is just the right firmness and the room bar is on point. Love the green everywhere and the kitchen touch of sustainability. There's a cute free farmers market next to the lobby. There's a nice bar too. Lots of activity available with the hotel and next door is whole foods. Also located in a very central area. It is such a cool place and definitely will stay here again if I have the chance. Only problem is that is kind of far from the train but you can hop on a bus. read more

The hotel was nicely decorated and I love their sustainable concept. I thought it was clean and functional. My only complaints with this location were the valet, elevators, and room services. There was usually only one individual working valet so when it was peak hours, it would take anywhere from 5-20 minutes to fetch the car. There were functions available on the tv to "fetch the car" and order items to the room but they were not in service at the time I visited so it was a bit misleading. The hotel also has two elevators in the lobby but there seemed to be issues during my stay so only one elevator was available and it would switch directions halfway through the ride causing it to take longer. Aside from these minor issues, I really enjoyed the hospitality, cleanliness, and amenities offered and would stay again! read more

Check In experience: Shay was soooo delightful. He was genuinely caring, friendly, professional, and accommodating. He went above and beyond by helping celebrate our special event. His quality service actually began by phone, prior to our arrival when I called to ask questions. He appeared to really enjoy his job and engaging with guests. Thanks Shay! Hotel ambiance: When we walked into the hotel the air freshener was incredible! I had to have a diffuser! I wanted to bottle that smell and keep it with me forever lol. The lobby, dining and sitting areas, bar, elevators, hallways, and our room were clean and tidy. Nothing was ever out of place during our stay. The sitting area has a nice two-sided fireplace, and a green (plant) living wall. The hotel sits inside a small strip mall on top of Whole Foods. The hotel is located downtown, and shopping was nearby including Pike's Place Market. Room: We were told our bedroom would have a separate seating area, and although that wasn't the case our room was very stylish and well decorated. The furnishings were top notch, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a safe, an umbrella for rainy Seattle days, and a mini bar with snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). The bathroom was lovely, had a tub, and a separate shower with multiple jets. Housekeeping: The room has a stone that you place outside your door which alerts housekeeping if you want your room cleaned now or later. We said later but housekeeping never came. Audi: The hotel has a new Audi that guests can borrow. That was spectacular! The reservation process was different depending on who you talked to but Gene made sure to accommodate our needs. Thanks Gene! Costs: Its not the cheapest hotel in town by far but it was worth every penny. Definitely recommend and would stay again next time we are splurging in the area. read more

This is a 2 star hotel (at best) done up with nice decorations to look like a 5 star. Check in is at 4. When making my original reservation they said they will be sure to make an early check in available. I confirmed that with them twice. Landed early and let them know I was slated for an early check in. They said it wasn't ready, that's fine. Checked in around noon, not ready again at 2, not ready. 4 o'clock came and they still weren't ready. Now I'm checked in 20 minutes past regular check in time. One elevator was down. People were standing in front of the elevator batches at a time, waiting 5 or more minutes just to go up to their room. Restaurant wasn't open for a full day and they gave complimentary breakfast that day which was nice, but there's no complimentary breakfast for no guests in general. Surprising for charging $500 to over a thousand a night. When I ran a bath, the shower head leaked all over the floor. Tried again the next day and made sure there was a towel on the floor. I used the shower head and when I put it back the bathtub wall came right off. The front desk workers seem to not care about customer concerns after waiting in line and hearing how they spoke with other parties who were running into problems. They charged the wrong card after our stay. When checking in they confirmed they would charge the card I asked them to which was the original card I reserved the room with. Not the deposit card. Would not come back at this hotel again, and likely will not be staying at any 1hotel location after this experience. read more

My wife and I came here for our one year anniversary and had an absolutely amazing time. The staff was incredible and seemed to treat every single person with a level of service reserved for the best hotels. The staff was always available for whatever we needed and we were blown away by questions like "would you prefer foam and feather?" when we simply called down to ask for an extra pillow. In the end, I would recommend this hotel every day for every trip to Seattle. Make sure you remember to ask for a ride to local spots instead of taking an Uber. read more

I will say when I arrived I was like wtf is this place but looks are deceiving. Walked in and I will say there was a nice vibe. Electric funk with wellness chic. Staff was friendly and made me feel fly af. Room was beautiful, nice bed decor etc. location was good. Was able to walk everywhere. The best part was the drift bar area. First of staff there Amazing, friendly and make a nice drink and the food is delicious. The outside area was incredible. Early afternoon, light rain , good lighting. Allowed me to think of life while listening to the rain with the sound of jazz flute playing funk in the background. Small things like wet tissue paper in bathroom , no sanitary liner in bathroom trash, no slippers in room, bed turned down halfway and unless you only want sheets up to your hips needed to be remade, heavy curtains that require you to walk the room to close...bathtub but no salts, no milk for coffee only oat powder....small but important details...like the designer didn't actually try it out...3.5 stars read more

I really enjoyed my stay here ! Upon arrival we were greeted, and the staff was friendly. When we got to our room, It was very spacious, clean and beautiful. In addition, we had a view of the space needle, which just made it perfect. We had the BEST stay at The One Hotel in Seattle. First of all the customer service was epic! It started with speaking on the phone with Shay before I arrived. He allowed us to get early check in as our flight was getting in early that morning. He also organized complimentary dessert and wine delivered to our room to surprised my husband for his 50th birthday! The room was incredible and comfortable. Love the design and everything was super clean and felt luxurious. It was also a nice surprise to borrow one of their Audi hotel cars to go sight seeing during our stay (2 hours per day) complimentary. It is first come first serve and we were lucky to get the car for 2 days. This helped us get to all our sight seeing destinations easily and see the town by car. Also, Diana was awesome! She was at the front desk and gave us a list of places to visit and restaurants to try. Lastly, the bar manager was so kind and suggested great beverages for us when we went to the bar one of the evenings. This was one of the best hotel stays I've ever experienced and I travel often! I am beyond furious with my experience at 1 Hotel Seattle. After checking out, I realized I had left an entire wardrobe full of clothes in my room, including several expensive items. I immediately started calling the hotel-not just once, but three to four times every single day-trying to get someone to help me. It took nearly a WEEK before anyone even bothered to call me back! When I finally spoke to someone, they said they would "look into it." After all that waiting and chasing, I was told my clothes were "nowhere to be found." Are you kidding me? How does an entire wardrobe just vanish in a supposedly reputable hotel? The lack of urgency, follow-up, and basic customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I trusted this hotel with my belongings and received nothing but the runaround and empty promises. If you value your property or expect even the most basic level of professionalism, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This experience has been a nightmare, and I am appalled at how little the staff seemed to care. Unacceptable. Never again. read more
