Note to self -- great hotel!
    Sarah W.

Our small travel group spent 2 nights at this hotel in mid-October and each of us was very pleased with the accommodations. We had 5 individual rooms on the 4th floor and commented that we slept well, climate control settings were manageable, and observed that the property appeared to be well maintained. We enjoyed exploring the rooftop lounge area, courtyard seating area, or regrouping in the lobby waiting area with seating on either couches or at a fairly long dining table. Hotel desk staff were wonderful and very welcoming and helpful. We were able to store our bags prior to check-in and again at checkout because our plane schedule resulted in our early arrival and train schedule allowed for an afternoon departure. Guests are able to rent bicycles and helmets at the front desk. Complimentary coffee is available mornings in the lobby and ice water dispenser 24/7. Hotel does not have restaurant or food service on site, but is located next door to a breakfast spot (local business, "Biscuit Bitch", see separate reviews) and we noticed some guests eating takeout orders at the lobby dining table. Hotel is VERY conveniently located to many restaurants and a park and dog park are located directly across the street. Public transit is also extremely accessible and affordable. Rooftop lounge area was spectacular with panoramic views of cityscape, skyward with overhead occasional plane traffic, the mountains in the distance through the foggy mist, and water only about 10 blocks away. Would be thrilled to stay at this hotel again.

We were only here one night and checked in late, but the people have all been really nice in the room, although a little small, was very comfortable. The bed was really really comfortable. We spent the night here getting ready for a cruise the next day. Recommend you give it a try. We want to come back here and explore the area more.

My mother and I came here the night before we took the Clipper to Victoria for Mother's Day Weekefn. This is a great more affordable hotel with comfortable beds and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and they provided snacks and water. Close to plenty of restaurants and transit and despite being told this is a loud area, the rooms insulated sound well. The rooftop lounge is very cool as well.

We seemed to be the only guests NOT going on an Alaskan Cruise- so wanted to let those who are just visiting Seattle to know, this is still a great option. We were there on a very busy weekend for Seattle and hotel prices were steep- this was a reasonable option and we 2 couples who stayed here, were happy with our choice Check in was great- the service Is top notch - the team that works here is always pleasant, friendly and helpful Being on 3rd Ave is not a plus and while we understand the unhoused are in all cities- we found walking along a different street like 5th was a better option. Probably why this hotel is a bit more affordable though Our room was directly above the "Biscuit Bitch" with delicious wafting smells and long lines- so lots of people on the street in front during the day, but there was also a security guard all day too. The free water and coffee in the lobby, along with the rooftop seating were definite plusses, we all enjoyed and took advantage of If taking a cruise- this hotel can't be beat, but even if you are not - it is still an excellent option.

This is an old remodeled hotel in a good location and an even better location if you are heading out on a cruise! The ports are downhill, but even better, a shuttle will pick up from the hotel lobby! The rooms are not huge (kind of tiny, but in their day, they were probably decent size. The place had a damp, musty smell. It is Seattle after all. No bottle water is available. It has a rooftop that is kind of cool with a great view of the world! Lots of nearby places to eat or have a drink. Value for the price? Hmmmm

We chose Belltown Inn based on location and parking fees (theirs were the most reasonable in the area). We had a 4 night stay the first week of June. We were immediately impressed with the customer service at this hotel when we checked in. The staff were all friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had about the hotel and the area. The rooms were clean, actually the whole place was really clean. Their little tag line "Walk to Everywhere" is so accurate. We were a 10-15 min walk from most of the things we wanted to see and do. 10 mins to the Space Needle and Chihuly Museum. 15 mins to Pike Place Market and the Seattle Aquarium. Bonus, there is a great breakfast spot right next door! They have great biscuits and biscuit sandwiches and it was a no brainer to eat there before heading out for the day. We've already decided we'll stay there again the next time we vacation in Seattle.

I was actually very surprised by the quality of this hotel. Do not judge it by the outside. Unfortunately, there are a high number of unhoused people hanging around this area in the streets nearby. They did not bother me, and I did not bother them, but it was just unsettling as a woman traveling solo. The inside of the hotel and the workers were very nice. The room itself wasn't too bad either. They upgraded my room and I had a nice view of the street. Unfortunately the outside noises were pretty loud at night so he was kind of hard to fall asleep but all in all I would definitely stay here again..

Than watched them check in couple after couple. 2.5 hours later we got our early check in. A whole 15 minutes early. This was after it supposedly took them 45 minutes to clean the room. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

I tried to explain that people were right behind us and it wasn't safe to block egress but the people at the front desk said that it wasn't a problem. My husband just needed to block traffic and unload our things then wait for a valet driver to appear. I asked if we could upgrade our room to a club level but was informed that they have no ability to do so at the front desk and haven't for some time. I was very disappointed at this. It would have been one thing if they were booked but just flat out denial just because felt somehow personal (even if it wasn't actually). I went back out to the entrance to see if I could spot my husband and made him stop. Soon after a valet arrived and said he should park the car perpendicular to the other cars so he would have somewhere to park. This would have effectively blocked both the valet cars and the through traffic lanes. He then asked if we were going to do valet parking. I told him "not any more!" This hotel charges $69 a night for valet and the self parking isn't worlds cheaper but it definitely felt worth it to have our car placed carefully by us and not left in the care of the person who felt perpendicular/blocking through traffic was a good idea. Meanwhile I found our room that has a persistent sound of whistling when the heating is on and I found that the bathroom, while beautiful had a rather unappealing quality. When you use the toilet you are looking directly into a rather large mirror. When taken all together it makes for a rather disappointing experience. I don't think I will stay at any Hyatt again. Bed and bedding was comfortable although the pillows were very flat. The bathroom had a huge window but there was an automated privacy shade. The bathroom also had plenty of counter space, with a separate shower from the huge soaking tub. The tub design was a bit weird in that the water comes out of the ceiling... so just be prepared that it does splash all over. Our room did not have a view (we got an east-facing room which literally is a view of another building's windows), but it did keep the room cool. Location was nice and walkable to all nearby Seattle attractions, very easy to get to Pike Place and Westlake Station. The hotel has a spa and small gym on the basement level, plus a golf simulator (that we did not try). The Rosebay bar was very pleasant (we got drinks and a snack) and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast at All Water was disappointing though - both the service and food were mediocre for the price they charge - and we wouldn't recommend it. Nonetheless, the hotel stay itself was pleasant and I would recommend the hotel itself, location was excellent. Staff was friendly and I would come back to stay here again when visiting Seattle.

We always got stocked with dark roast coffee pods, which is my preference, whoo. Also an empty mini fridge which we were able to use for beverages and leftovers. The 7th floor has a nice little seating area outside the bar where I was able to get some quiet work done one weekday, and the outdoor terrace offers a mountain view on clear days. The fitness center is small: just two treadmills, one recumbent bike, an elliptical, a peloton, and many dumbbells, but I had no problem getting a treadmill run in each morning before 9 am. Water bottle fillers on floors 1 and 4 were super convenient, too. The valet parking is very convenient but pricy. You might want to check Spot Hero or similar to see if you can get a better deal on parking nearby. All told I was impressed by this hotel and I think we will stay here next time we return to Seattle.

The hotel focuses on mid-range, family travel; and to this they deliver quite well. If - however - you're looking for a bit more of a destination hotel, pick again. That's not to say the Embassy Suites isn't clean, with friendly and welcoming staff who are always there to help, it is just important to recognize that the hotel is not a destination. It is more of a "means to an end" kind of place.

Literally the first building you see when you leave the train station and right next to the entrance to the Seattle Stadium. Staff was friendly, though advertising a $9 bottle of Smart Water and giving your guests a complimentary check-in bottle of Dasani feels like a bad choice. Would probably have gone down better to give the Smart Water and advertise it as $9 to give it an added value. My main issue was not being warned before arrival that there was an ongoing strike by employees of the hotel. There was a flyer at the desk at check-in going over it, but no one prewarned us that the striking employees started at 6:30am with drums, a megaphone, sirens, whistles, and shouting. This was fully audible in the room. Due to the World Cup, there was no option to relocate to another hotel. When we left the hotel in the morning of the match, members of the protest got very aggressive and in my face, screaming about checking out and demanding a refund. Again, not a practical option. I have nothing against workers rights, but screaming at people who didn't know and don't have another choice isn't doing any favors. This must have happened more than once, because the front door was locked the remainder of the day and guests directed to other doors. The room was dusty, likely as a result of the strike. The sliding barn doors were insufficient to offer privacy while using the toilet or showering. Breakfast was pretty good. I went with Embassy Suites based on past experiences and convenience and I wish I had been aware of the strike because I would have made different choices. Hilton and Embassy Suites should address the concerns of their employees, if for nothing more than guest experience.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.

The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. I would wholeheartedly stay here again!

My family had a…read morespectacular experience for 3 nights as we explored Seattle prior to hopping on an Alaskan cruise. This hotel is an excellent choice for those wanting to stay in a waterfront property that's walkable to the cruise terminal as well. Though Four Seasons is not the most cost effective option for a comfortable hotel in downtown Seattle, I highly recommend this hotel based on my recent experience in June 2025. Where to start.... Location, location, location! The hotel is literally a block away from the entrance to Pike Place Market where you can spend days shopping, snacking, and enjoying the views of the water. The views from the hotel room are breathtaking as the Great Wheel (Ferris wheel) and Aquarium are just a few minutes away by foot. From the Four Seasons, we were able to walk to Chinatown in under 30 min (you can also take the train just 2 stops down) and Seattle Center where the Space Needle is located is also walkable and also accessible via monorail. The staff greets you at the door every time you enter and exit, and the lobby is full of surprises like premium coffee and tea in the mornings and a candy bar in the afternoon. Every time our room was serviced, it was done to perfection and then some. The chat function on the app was amazing as I was able to make requests and ask questions with ease. Responses were close to immediate. At the front desk and concierge, staff are also very friendly and treated us with respect and honor. They also provided great advice for food and sightseeing options close by. They never tried to sell me stuff where they would make money off of it. I could go on and on, but I have to say that my family's experience was extremely memorable, and if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. If you're looking for the optimal location for breathtaking views, seconds away from Pike Place Market, and still walkable to the Space Needle, Chinatown, the Convention Center, etc., this is it, y'all!
