We picked this hotel for its close proximity to Seattle downtown, the piers and the view of the harbor from the hotel. The downtown area, Pike Place market, the overlook deck, all were within 10 minutes walking distance. Despite arriving few minutes past midnight, our check-in process was easy. The room was well furnished. All amenities in the room and bathroom worked fine. Our room had a balcony with full glass window. Since the building was U shaped, all the rooms from other side could see our room, and vice versa. So, the setup was not best privacy wise, we had to use the curtains most of the time. But we got a gorgeous view of the pear and mountain range from the room. The lobby area also had wonderful interior and plenty of areas to sit. The hotel had M lounge where we were able to get snack and drinks throughout our stay. There was one restaurant adjacent to the hotel and a bar as well that appeared to get busy around dinner hours. All staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had gym and pool as well. The pool was split into half indoor and half outdoor. The water was bit warm, so despite the weather being chili outside, we were able to use the pool. But the disappointing part the floor area around the pool was so under maintained. There were cracks, dirt, uncovered holes, things that I had rarely seen for a Marriott hotel. Our room was also next to a portion of the building's roof that had bird poop, dirt, and weed. Booked this hotel for one night. My first flight was delayed and despite everything I could not make my second one. I cannot get to Seattle . This was NO fault of my own. I called reservations who said they would allow me to move the reservation to another night for $800 and waive the cancellation fee $500. The front desk stooge said no, they would not waive the fee. So a Platinum member who always shows up, never complains literally can't get to the hotel and even partial refund. Bullshit. I will NEVER stay at your half ass hotel. read more

Lovely hotel right by the waterfront. It's at a convenient location to the piers and Pike Place Market. Just be aware there are lots ups and downs when walking outside (outdoor elevators and stairs available). We got an upgrade from Marriott Bonvoy member. The corner suite has a fantastic view of the river and mountains. King size bed is comfortable. Extra pillows in the closet. A balcony to sit and hangout. Shower water pressure is a little low but temperature is good. The room provides necessary items: body wash shampoo conditioner lotion hairdryer tv fridge coffee station. The hotel features pool, fitness center, M lounge (Marriott members). The breakfast served in the lounge is not bad, eggs potatoes bacons tea coffee fruit breads (M-F). Weekend they gave us vouchers to the on site restaurant. Pool splited indoor and outdoor. Water temp is warm enough for me to get it. Towels provided. Staff were all nice and friendly. Smiley faces everywhere. Highly recommend for the family or even solo travelers who want a convenient location. read more

For my birthday, we stayed at this hotel after a train trip to Seattle. We were very pleased with our stay for several nights. Our stay was welcoming due to the kind staff at the front desk and in the M club. There was a young gentlemen, unfortunately I did not catch his name, who was very personal- I appreciate his touch- and his welcome. Plus checking on us as we came down the next day after checking in within the lobby. The hotel is located directly across the waterfront. And a short walk to Pike's market which make it a very convenient stay. Without traffic it approximately a ten minute drive to the train station and twenty minutes to the airport. As we are ambassadors with Marriott- we were treated to some excellent rooms. Our first room had wall to wall windows that overlooked the waterfront and the ferris wheel on the 8th floor. A perfect room. When asked if we wanted an even better room, I was hesitative- but we accepted the offer and received another room that had a living room in addition to the bedroom with three balconies. The beds in both rooms were very comfy. Unfortunately in both rooms there were not bath tubs but nice showers. And of course lovely views of the waterfront. We also appreciated the nice welcome gift provided to us that included wine and chocolate. The only negative was that the indoor/outdoor pool was not open during our stay. The pool is an indoor-outdoor pool that overlooks the waterfront. Also we we wished the breakfast had better food options. We did enjoy the sweets in the M club though. read more

Went to a visit to Seattle before and after my cruise to Alaska. This is a convenient location because it's right next to one of the cruise ship ports. A quick walk across the street and you're in the middle of all the action ! Pike place, the aquarium, gum wall all within walking distance from the hotel. There is no hotel parking though. You will only have to valet if you drive here. The staff is amazing so you feel safe in this hotel. Also the bedding is sooo comfy. As with all Marriott properties. It deservedly earns a 5 star review. This hotel is across the street from Pier 66. I couldn't have asked for a better location. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. I know people complain about having to walk up hills from this location. I get it. Just be aware that there are a couple of different routes you can take with stairs and elevators that make that upward incline bearable. There's one at the Bell Street Bridge, and another one at Waterfront Park. We checked into the hotel around 1pm with a check-in time of 4pm. The room was actually ready for us. Can you believe that? They do charge a destination fee which includes a $20 discount toward hotel resraurants and a box of local chocolates from Maeve of Seattle. It pays for itself. Our corner waterfront king room was spacious & clean. I could tell that it was recently renovated. I'm glad I didn't judge a book by its cover on this one. The exterior of the hotel looks very old. On a brighter note, they do have M Club access for platinum elite and above. I think you can pay for access as well. We woke up to a great view of the Norwegian Bliss cruise ship. Not so shabby for a pre-cruise stay. Our buffet breakfast at Hook & Plow was a great experience as well. Walking to the cruise terminal to board the cruise ship was so easy. We stayed here the night before leaving on our Alaskan cruise. It was the PERFECT location. Walk out the front door & right across the street to the pier. No need for additional cab rides or transfers. Just sleep on and cross the street when you're ready. Besides location, the hotel room was nice, great views of the waterfront, comfortable bed with nice linens, and a large bathroom. All very clean. This hotel was... fine. Excellent valet experience every time; front desk personnel, however, were not particularly friendly or welcoming-- often seemed irritated when approached with questions. If you don't have access to the M Lounge, there is no complimentary coffee downstairs, which was a disappointment considering the price of this hotel. This location alone gets a 6 out of 5! With the new pedestrian walkway and revamped Alaska Way, this hotel is now a prime spot to visit the Seattle Waterfront and Pike Place. From check-in, the valet staff were super friendly and kind. Since I am a Bonvoy Elite member, I was upgraded to a balcony water view room from the standard room I had booked. There is a resort fee, but that includes two tickets to the Wings over Washington experience at Miner's landing. These tickets were easily worth the cost of the resort fee. Plus you get a dining credit as well, but we didn't use that as we went out to dinner in town. The M Lounge is very nice and well stocked with sodas, a fancy coffee machine, and evening snacks. We got there just as things were wrapping up, but the staff inside were able to find us a couple pieces of dessert to enjoy with some coffee. The hotel has been remodeled since the last time we were here. Rooms are sleek and modern, and the bathroom was upgraded with a large walk in shower with glass door. Thank you for the bottles of water and welcome chocolates! Absolutely loved our time here at the hotel. No doubt, we'll be back again to enjoy more time at the Seattle waterfront area. read more

I absolutely love this Mariott. My friend and I booked online through the Convoy app, and when we arrived we checked in easily. They took my card information for an authorization hold for any incidentals, and they cancel the charge after your stay is complete. They gave us a sheet with all amenities they had to offer as well as a box of chocolates! The room itself was clean and spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. This hotel has a valet service, even if you get a car service, they open the car door for you on leaving, and welcome you back upon entry. The location is great, right on the water, and close to both Pike Place near the boardwalk and the Market place just a block behind it. It is a bit of a drive from the airport, but that is how Seattle is. I will absolutely return next time I'm visiting! Checkout process was also easy, my car to the airport was already downstairs and I just gave her my key cards and I was good to go. read more

I chose this hotel for the night before a cruise and it was perfect! The check-in was quick and they even gave me a little box of chocolates. Although I had already reserved a partial waterfront, I asked if they had any full water fronts available and they didn't. I was happy with my view though. It was a straight on view of the water, but pushed back a little, so you couldn't see as much of the water as if you were in another room further out. I do wish there was a chair on the balcony, though, but I just pulled my own chair out there! I also brought a glass of wine up from the lobby bar to enjoy sitting out there. There were a lot of people hanging out in the lobby with luggage. Probably waiting for their cruise or waiting to check in after the cruise. It's a really good location and they have an elevator so you can get to the level of Pike Place without walking uphill. My room was nice and quiet, but I didn't love the bathroom light. It came on at full brightness whenever you walked in in the middle of the night, which was very jarring. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're going on a cruise. The Marriott Seattle Waterfront is perfectly located within walking distance of the best Seattle has to offer and just a quick shuttle ride to the cruise ship terminal. The rooms are spotless, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, and the waterfront views are absolutely spectacular. Tips/note to self: - Check in on the app at least two hours before you arrive (not in the Lyft from the airport...) - When you check in, get two bottles of water, hotel welcome gift = box of chocolates, two Wings over Washington tickets (valid for 1 year) - Room 612 - train isn't too loud, but the a/c fan is loud; turn it off before bed - Get the 2 Queen room so you can use two comforters - Bring your own nice toilet paper and flushable wet wipes because the room's toilet paper is horrendous 1-ply and the hotel market doesn't sell them - Bring your own Aloha protein bars and single-serving collagen packets because the hotel market doesn't sell them - Bring your own shampoo/conditioner or at least dry shampoo; the stuff they provide leaves you nappy - Google Maps walking directions aren't great around here, there may be a faster way since Google Maps can't see the elevators on both sides of the block that go up to the other street (you can ask the front desk what the fastest way to walk somewhere is) - For breakfast, the fastest way is to order when you get seated and the check ASAP, all the breakfast omelets can be made with egg whites and you can sub fruit or any other sides for the potatoes. The omelets are really oily though, and the potatoes are super fried - The gym is basic, no Peloton but there are three treadmills. Stayed for 5 nights back in January of this year with my daughter and I have to say I was very impressed. Check-in was super quick and easy and they even upgraded our room (thru AMEX) to a corner waterfront suite!! Room was very spacious, comfortable bed though on the firmer side, and the views were fantastic! It was theraputic to just sit and watch the ferries go back and forth and enjoy the activty and views of the water and surrounding area. Bathroom was also nicely appointed and everything was kept very clean. Didn't experience much exterior noise in the room even though there was some construction going on in the street at the time of stay. With our stay, a complimentary daily breakfast was also included and this provided usual faire such as bacon, eggs, fruit, coffee, OJ, etc...Nice and convenient, however, you may want to skip it a day or two and try some offerings in the city to change it up (especially to get your Seattle coffee fix)!!. Location was great by the waterfront, however, you are also close walking distance to Pike Place as well as the other touristy spots on the waterfront. We stayed here pre-cruise for one night. The room and hotel were very nice and clean. The hotel is in a very nice location on the waterfront in walking distance to several attractions, shops and restaurants. The only negative we experienced was their shuttle service to the port provided by Evergreen Shuttles through Marriott. Do not use this service, it was terrible. We reserved a time of 9am. They were not there at 9am. We didn't receive any communication that they were running late. At 9:15 we finally called them, they said they were on the way. at 9:20 they finally arrived. It took another 20 minutes to get loaded up and leave. So our 9am reservation turned into a 9:40 reservation. The entire drive to the port, the driver had Christian music/talk radio on loudly which seemed pretty unprofessional. Overall I would stay here again, but I would NEVER use Evergreen Shuttle Services for anything. There are much better options available. read more

We stayed here before our Alaska cruise. The location right across from the pier and waterfront is perfect. The room was very clean and up to date. The Television was a good size, lots of closet room, the bed was comfortable. Drawbacks: the pillows were uncomfortable and the bedside tables no longer have drawers! This is the 2nd hotel I've been to that has updated the bedside tables to have electrical outlets instead of drawers! Why can't they at least leave us 1 drawer?! I really need that drawer for my meds and other items I use. The bathroom is clean, beautiful and the shower works great! Drawback: the toilet is too low, I have arthritis in my knees and it hurts to use a low toilet. The staff have been wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. read more

The location of this hotel alone is 5 stars (especially if you are leaving from Pier 66 on cruise ship - it is literally across the street). Plus it is walkable to the attractions on the pier and Pike Place Market (one direction) and the other way you can get to the Olympic statue garden and Space Needle in about 15m on foot. This alone makes it a recommended stay if you want to be on the waterfront in Seattle. The hotel itself was well kept. We stayed a night before our cruise and the night after so we got two different experiences and rooms. The first room was nice with a water view, pretty quiet and well kept. The second faced the front of the hotel and you could hear the train a bit more (as well as the chaos of the valet below), but still not bad. The beds are super comfy. The shower was great and had nice pressure. Honestly my only complaint on the room was their HVAC system was REALLY loud and it was because they had them in these closets that if you closed them they made this loud sucking sound - which was alleviated if you opened it up a bit (just odd). The hotel staff was great, with exception of the valet. We dropped our bags at the hotel right off the boat (at like 7:30a) and was given a bit of trouble that we should just try to check in - I was like I don't think they are THAT flexible - can't we just drop our bags and come get them in a few hours and of course he allowed us, but it was almost like "I am busy, go try the front desk." It was off putting, but that was nothing to trying to get a cab on Sunday. Apparently it is a free for all and while the valet "says" they will call cabs, honestly I am not sure they actually did and they did not manage the cab line which left people fighting over cabs, stealing cabs and general bad behavior. Valet was the worst and really why I took a star off. Other than that it was an awesome stay and we did love the location. read more

Tucker in Lobby Bar makes the best Lemon Drops in the entire world.... Take it from a worthy critic. He is friendly, gives honest opinions, and is welcoming. Night one recommended halibut andchips - superb! Not greasy nor overcooked! Not a fry fiend, but they were good. Day two back for another lemon drop in the late afternoon.... now trying the ravioli....as pizzas are fairly big! Ravioli... not thrilled... fairly boring, flavor wise, snd too oily. Rooms seemed very quiet, until people in hallway proved otherwise. Except for that, incredibly quiet. I found very comfortable. Plenty of towels, good temp control. Executive lounge had decent spread for breakfast and happy hour... minus alcohol! One caveat - just plain coffee and chai in their ' fancy' machine, so espresso drinkers will be disappointed. Front desk had issue getting room corrected to my name and account number but appears to be corrected. Fingers crossed. The reservation was initially made by colleague. Born and raised in Seattle, always weird to visit and not stay with family or friends, but was really cool to make use of new access points from waterfront to market level! read more

Stayed here for several years. Service has declined to the point my husband and I will not stay here again. Paid for 5 days/nights over 4k. Requested additional items when booked and did not have upon arrival (not outrages requests ((additional towels and blankets)) prior to arrival) end of March 2026. Staff was unhappy to speak to us all except a few. My husband reached out to management and never received a response during our stay. I will add we had a wonderful experience with the hotel from 2019 to 2022. The location is top tier but the hospitality was no longer there, so disheartening. Beautiful lobby and rooms are clean and views are exceptional from the "waterfront view" suite. However without good service the experience lacks tremendously. Do not order the pizza it is not good even by low standard. Chicken wings and salad are good. Even over a 5 day stay you will have to purchase all drinking water as they only allow 4 small bottle water per stay even without cleaning rooms. Highly recommend not staying here longer then one night. Staff does not seem happy to help unless it is early morning. Breakfast restaurant does not take reservations and it is a very long wait (35+ min), even if many vacant tables are visibly available. Do not expect good service here. It was extremely poor and we do not require royalty treatment. My husband and I would rather stay at a lower stat hotel treated as appreciated customers. ​ read more

The restaurant options are fine (I went across the street to Anthony's) but the TRAIN going underneath the hotel!!!! No one prepared me for that noise. The hotel is walking distance to the cruise ships, so that is likely why all the ppl were there with SEVERAL bags. Very busy hotel with minimal positive aspects. This is a great stay before or after a cruise. It's right across from Pier 66 and the valets will even transport your luggage to the port for you (tip well bc it's worth it). I really enjoyed this property. We went to Seattle for a NHL game so we didn't spend a ton of time in the room or the hotel. Very nice updated rooms. Nice flooring with a couple of area rugs. A nice update compared with the wall to wall carpeting in most hotels. Definitely on trend. Complete with a nice view of the port. We went to sleep no cruise ship woke up to a large cruise ship in port overnight. There is a nice convenience store in the lobby so you can get a snack or drink and charge it to your room. There is a restaurant and bar looked great but we got back too late to give it a try. We had room service for breakfast. Very tasty and still hot upon arrival. I would definitely do that again. One of my favorites of the Marriott brand, definitely. Prior to our longer vacation in Seattle, we originally planned to only stay two weeks. But this location absolutely won us over. The Seattle Marriott Waterfront is about 10 minutes walking distance to Pike Place Market and 20 minutes downtown. While it's a bit of a trek, you're also about a half hour jaunt from a Whole Foods. This location has amazing outside seating, which we adored, and you can take the adjacent elevator up to Pike Place Market if you don't want to walk up the steps near the aquarium. To go into the the space itself, the sound proofing can definitely vary between rooms. Most of our stay was in a quiet higher up corner room facing the street, but we also stayed in a room closer to the train tracks side which was very loud. Our corner room had an amazing maid who was the absolute best so our mainstay room was always super clean, but some of the other rooms we found a little less airy. It's also not a normal Marriott M lounge in that there's no lounge breakfast buffet, although they do put out coffee and snacks in the afternoon, and light bites in the evening. Although I found the service in the lobby bar average, the front desk associates were always fantastic. Big shout out to them for always being so amazing! Only thing I'd change about the space would be adding a card reader to the outside of the lounge, since it locks from the inside and it's a pain going back in through the lobby just to grab a napkin. All in all, we definitely love this Marriott location and look forward to visiting in the future! read more

The Marriott Waterfront is a nice, modern hotel very close to Pier 66 where Norwegian cruises embark. Literally just across the street and about a block down. The hotel is nice and the rooms are spacious and modern with a lot of electrical and USB outlets within easy reach. The restaurant was closed when we were there and replaced with 'counter' service from the bar. Generally worked OK but they should drop the price if you're taking care of most of the service yourself. Food quality was quite good. There's a M Club off the lobby that is very nice, if you're a Marriott member with sufficient status. read more

Absolutely horrible. We had reservations two months in advance and arrived at the hotel after a long flight. The hotel overbooked their rooms and told us they had no room for us but had made arrangements for us to stay at another hotel. It was 11 pm and we waited in the lobby area for another hour before they got us a taxi. They said we would be contacted in the morning by Richard or Wendy to make arrangements on getting us to the dock in time for our cruise. Well they never called. It was a complete disaster and so unprofessional of them. Oh yeah I forgot when we waited in the lobby they were actually checking in other people. I guess the discounted MILITARY/Veteran rate is the first to go when a suit walks in. I think they have forgotten who fights for our freedom and country. So sad. read more

The cruise ship dock here most of the day... they sail away around 4pm ish... so i have to standby like a hawk to get a glimpse of ocean view. The second day I thought I'd enjoy the "partial ocean view" a little more, but the cruise ship docked before I even got a chance to do that. I usually get up around 5:30AM.
