DO NOT STAY HERE. We chose Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle specifically because it advertises itself as dog-friendly, which made what happened during our stay extremely disappointing. We left our two dogs in the room briefly while we went out to eat -- something that is commonly allowed at Kimpton properties and was not clearly communicated as prohibited at check-in. Shortly after, we received texts from the front desk saying our "pets miss you," which quickly escalated to being told there had been "multiple complaints" and that we would need to find another hotel. ( photo of text below). All of these horrible interactions were with Tyne, front desk employee. When we asked for clarification, we were told the dogs were barking, were threatened with security involvement, and were refused access to the pet waiver we signed. We were also told that leaving dogs unattended was not allowed -- which directly contradicts Kimpton's dog-friendly policies and our prior experiences at other Kimpton hotels. What made this situation worse was that we repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and Tyne told us we were not allowed to do so. Being asked to leave mid-stay without being shown the policy we allegedly violated, and without access to management, was upsetting and unprofessional. If you're traveling with pets, be aware that "dog-friendly" here may come with unclear rules, inconsistent enforcement, and no escalation path. I expected much better from a Kimpton property.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were very spacious with a charming vibe that falls somewhere between vintage and cute. Everything about the stay was wonderful -- especially the happy hour with wine and snacks, which was such a great perk and really added to the experience. The only downside was the street noise, which was quite loud at times. Other than that, everything was amazing and I'd absolutely stay here again.

I was shocked at how expensive hotels have gotten on the Eastside and found Hotel Vintage to be a better price... Check-in was very professional, the Valet was courteous, and the room was lovely with a view of trees and the iconic Seattle library. The room was large, with a slightly tired, or dare I say vintage sofa, but a very comfortable bed. Like all Kimpton properties, there is a yoga mat in the closet & there is room here to comfortably put it out & use it. Only complaint was the bathroom is pretty small, which matches the size of the in-room TV. Oh, and for July, their AC rocked: room was 65 when we walked in & a delightful surprise after a sweaty day in Seattle. Would definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before a cruise. It was in a great location, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice. They left two bottles of water for us in the room, which was a nice touch. The best part was the complimentary Happy Hour in the lobby from 5 to 6 pm. They served both red and white wines. They also served delicious appetizers from Tulio, their on-site Italian restaurant. One appetizer was caramelized onions on focaccia bread and the other was prosciutto on focaccia bread. The one with the caramelized onions was to die for! They were very generous with their pours, and you could go back for more as often as you want. We met some really great people and chatted with them the whole time. They charge a $26 "guest amenities fee" that includes a $10 credit from their snack bar. The only problem is that they are out of just about everything. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again if we are in Seattle.

Kimpton Hotel Vintage is in the heart of downtown within walking distance to Pikes Market and the Landing that has all kinds of things to see and do. It's a very pretty hotel with a restaurant inside of the hotel and with my stay we were given a 10 dollar a day voucher to use at the restaurant or for snacks that the hotel offer, they also have free wine from 5 to 6pm. We had the city view and although the room was pretty I myself would not get the city view again, we heard cars honking and engines roaring and saw headlights all night. I will say it's a good location and pretty.

STAY AWAY!! We stayed here for one night on my birthday. I asked the long hair reception dude if he could help make it special or do a complimentary upgrade to a room. His response was cold and unhelpful with a "I don't give a damn" attitude. Absolutely no customer service etiquette. I highly doubt the hotel was fully booked. And guess what? He assigned us a room on level 2 which is street level. Thanks a lot Tarzan for making it memorable. To classify yourself as a 4 star hotel maybe provide your guests with at least clean and non ripped sheets. Even the bath towels were mismatched. This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade but I guess they have to live up to their "vintage" name. Oh and they only provided one robe when the booking is for double occupancy. Such a joke. I would never return or recommend this hotel. They nickel and dime you for everything. Resort fee is $30 and that doesn't include Wi-Fi (extra $13/day). Valet parking is $60/day which is extremely steep. To the reviewer who claimed there is a 50% discount if you drive an electric car, shame on you for spreading lies. There is no such truth or unless the hotel staff is incompetent and don't know their own policy. You can self park across the street for $45/day.

I spent one night at this hotel, and it was a nice enough experience. The hotel is convenient to (though quite uphill from) the Symphony light rail station and is an easy walk from other downtown locations, including the Paramount Theatre. My stay was so short that I didn't get to experience much of the hotel, but the front desk staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and pleasant, and I felt welcomed. My room was on the third floor and was exposed to a lot of traffic noise, though thankfully this died down at night and did not disturb my sleep. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom is in need of an update, with outdated shower fixtures and an overall lack of polish that you would expect of a hotel of this level. My stay here was fine, and I'd stay here again--though I may consider other options next time, especially since I paid an amenity fee that I didn't make use of at all.

I love a Kimpton when I travel. And this one is mostly conveniently located to Lumen Field, if you want to walk to and from an event. I say "mostly" because there's a wicked hill on the way back The view from the 11th floor was beautiful. The king room was large, with a plush purple velvet sofa. I would love it if the bathroom was more well lit, but it's a great size. After enjoying a night of music and walking back, the bed felt exceedingly good! I greatly appreciate that the alarm clock light can be turned off. Valet service was quick and friendly, even though the line coming in must have been a bit overwhelming. Can't wait to stay here again!

9th floor room at Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle, November 2023

I took a little solo-cation to Seattle, Washington over Veteran's Day weekend 2023 and booked a two night stay in a premium room at this Kimpton using IHG points. My 9th floor room (Maghee) was fantastic - really large with a sofa bed, desk, and king size comfortable bed. I believe the "vintage" in the name is on par with the wine theme throughout the restaurant. I have stayed at about half dozen Kimptons now and am a Platinum IHG member. Unfortunately it was this particular hotel as a whole that left much to be desired. Upon checkin and throughout my stay, I found the front desk employees to be less than welcoming. The lobby area was so, so, so small and the coffee ran out in the mornings yet the employee took her sweet time refilling it. The "gym" was the size of a closet and, what I was most looking forward to - the plant pal program - was done with zero enthusiasm by the employees. In terms of dining options, Tulio is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. I narrowly got the sweet potato gnocchi to go one afternoon moments before they closed. Speaking of Tulio, when I asked the front desk where the postcards were (a postcard writing station is a staple at many of the Kimptons I've stayed at), they gave me a Tulio postcard... so disappointing. Decent location and yes of course they do the happy hour in the small lobby nightly at 5pm. I did not attend but I did pass through one night on my way to dinner and it was packed to say the least. Whenever I return to Seattle I will look into staying at the other Kimptons in the area or return to the Fairmont. There are plenty of nice hotels in this area with larger lobby spaces and better amenities.

Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

There is a ground level and an upstairs. Upon coming in staff greeted us and informed us of the going-Ons upstairs. There were 3 bartenders all of whom were very nice. Lots of seating and small music and dancing area. The food was self-serve, buffet style, catered La Cabana. The salsa and guac were good and was nicely laid out. Cathedral donates much of the earnings made from the use of the space and are also known for their candles which I've received as a gift and can say are nicely scented and benefit causes. So, if you see one in a local shop or otherwise it makes a good gift. Not sure they sell them at this actual location of Cathedral though. If you 're looking to host an event or know someone who wants to, Cathedral has a decent space to be rented out with nice staff who will help manage it.

The space itself is full of character and charm, which meant we didn't have to add much decor. GTB already brings the perfect vibe. Between the ballroom, theater, and patio, we had so many beautiful backdrops for every part of our celebration. The catering was incredible - our guests couldn't stop raving about the food, especially the brisket (which the chef loving tended to into the early morning hours). We also loved that we got to do a tasting beforehand, and the team was wonderful about accommodating dietary restrictions. The bar was just as great! Our specialty cocktail and mocktail were both a big hit. Danielle, the venue manager, was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. Her communication and organization were top-notch, and she was so friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. On the day itself, Danielle and the GTB team were calm, detailed-oriented, and took care of everything behind the scenes so we could enjoy our wedding without stress. The in-house florist created stunning arrangements, which made things that much easier for us. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. GTB is very LGBTQ-affirming, and worked seamlessly with our other vendors. We're still getting compliments from guests about how beautiful and effortless everything felt. Georgetown Ballroom truly gave us the wedding of our dreams.
