I had a good experience staying at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle while on a work trip. Check-in was smooth and I was upgraded to a larger room/suite (through IHG status). The Kimpton had more of a "boutique hotel" vibe compared to other IHG properties, which I appreciated. The lobby had cozy couches and a fireplace, and the whole hotel had a subtle wine theme. There was also an Italian restaurant connected to the lobby, which I didn't get a chance to try. My "suite" was definitely smaller than the other suites I've stayed in with IHG, but cozy and well-decorated. This is also the first hotel I've stayed at in a while that actually had complimentary water bottles in the room - major points there! The hotel was quiet at night and I slept very comfortably. Our home away from home for the next two days ! Manny checked us in with speed and professionalism. Answered all our questions and smiled the entire time. Building clean and clear of clutter. It has a vintage or aged look . Fireplace sets the room for great ambiance. Elite restaurant attached for dining experience. Nice wine collection . Parking has a fee (fyi) Rooms and hallways were clean . Staff was friendly in passing. My room had a great city view. Very spacious. Bed comfortable. Refrigerator is in room . You can walk to pike market and surrounding areas but we Ubered the majority of the time and walked when we could. Tip: if you have bad legs, feet or back I suggest not walking. It's alot of steep hills which means incline is worst coming up. 18 min to the airport. Great stay ! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. We chose Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle specifically because it advertises itself as dog-friendly, which made what happened during our stay extremely disappointing. We left our two dogs in the room briefly while we went out to eat -- something that is commonly allowed at Kimpton properties and was not clearly communicated as prohibited at check-in. Shortly after, we received texts from the front desk saying our "pets miss you," which quickly escalated to being told there had been "multiple complaints" and that we would need to find another hotel. ( photo of text below). All of these horrible interactions were with Tyne, front desk employee. When we asked for clarification, we were told the dogs were barking, were threatened with security involvement, and were refused access to the pet waiver we signed. We were also told that leaving dogs unattended was not allowed -- which directly contradicts Kimpton's dog-friendly policies and our prior experiences at other Kimpton hotels. What made this situation worse was that we repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and Tyne told us we were not allowed to do so. Being asked to leave mid-stay without being shown the policy we allegedly violated, and without access to management, was upsetting and unprofessional. If you're traveling with pets, be aware that "dog-friendly" here may come with unclear rules, inconsistent enforcement, and no escalation path. Like all Kimpton properties, there is a yoga mat in the closet & there is room here to comfortably put it out & use it. Only complaint was the bathroom is pretty small, which matches the size of the in-room TV. My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before a cruise. It was in a great location, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice. They left two bottles of water for us in the room, which was a nice touch. The best part was the complimentary Happy Hour in the lobby from 5 to 6 pm. They served both red and white wines. They also served delicious appetizers from Tulio, their on-site Italian restaurant. One appetizer was caramelized onions on focaccia bread and the other was prosciutto on focaccia bread. The one with the caramelized onions was to die for! They were very generous with their pours, and you could go back for more as often as you want. We met some really great people and chatted with them the whole time. They charge a $26 "guest amenities fee" that includes a $10 credit from their snack bar. The only problem is that they are out of just about everything. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again if we are in Seattle. read more

Kimpton Hotel Vintage is in the heart of downtown within walking distance to Pikes Market and the Landing that has all kinds of things to see and do. It's a very pretty hotel with a restaurant inside of the hotel and with my stay we were given a 10 dollar a day voucher to use at the restaurant or for snacks that the hotel offer, they also have free wine from 5 to 6pm. We had the city view and although the room was pretty I myself would not get the city view again, we heard cars honking and engines roaring and saw headlights all night. STAY AWAY!! We stayed here for one night on my birthday. I asked the long hair reception dude if he could help make it special or do a complimentary upgrade to a room. His response was cold and unhelpful with a "I don't give a damn" attitude. Absolutely no customer service etiquette. I highly doubt the hotel was fully booked. And guess what? He assigned us a room on level 2 which is street level. Thanks a lot Tarzan for making it memorable. To classify yourself as a 4 star hotel maybe provide your guests with at least clean and non ripped sheets. Even the bath towels were mismatched. This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade but I guess they have to live up to their "vintage" name. Oh and they only provided one robe when the booking is for double occupancy. Such a joke. I would never return or recommend this hotel. They nickel and dime you for everything. Resort fee is $30 and that doesn't include Wi-Fi (extra $13/day). Valet parking is $60/day which is extremely steep. To the reviewer who claimed there is a 50% discount if you drive an electric car, shame on you for spreading lies. There is no such truth or unless the hotel staff is incompetent and don't know their own policy. You can self park across the street for $45/day. read more

I spent one night at this hotel, and it was a nice enough experience. The hotel is convenient to (though quite uphill from) the Symphony light rail station and is an easy walk from other downtown locations, including the Paramount Theatre. My stay was so short that I didn't get to experience much of the hotel, but the front desk staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and pleasant, and I felt welcomed. My room was on the third floor and was exposed to a lot of traffic noise, though thankfully this died down at night and did not disturb my sleep. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom is in need of an update, with outdated shower fixtures and an overall lack of polish that you would expect of a hotel of this level. My stay here was fine, and I'd stay here again--though I may consider other options next time, especially since I paid an amenity fee that I didn't make use of at all. read more

I love a Kimpton when I travel. And this one is mostly conveniently located to Lumen Field, if you want to walk to and from an event. I say "mostly" because there's a wicked hill on the way back The view from the 11th floor was beautiful. The king room was large, with a plush purple velvet sofa. I would love it if the bathroom was more well lit, but it's a great size. After enjoying a night of music and walking back, the bed felt exceedingly good! I greatly appreciate that the alarm clock light can be turned off. Valet service was quick and friendly, even though the line coming in must have been a bit overwhelming. We had a lovely stay at The Vintage Hotel Seattle. The service is excellent -- from the friendly front desk team to the attentive valet staff. The complimentary wine happy hour is a great touch and sets a welcoming tone. That said, the hotel could use a refresh. Its décor feels more "truly vintage" than updated boutique, so a makeover would really elevate the experience. Location-wise, it's great: about a 10-minute walk to Pike Place Market and 15 minutes to the theater district. Valet parking (after taxes and fees) came to about $75 per night, not including tips. There's also a garage across the street for $45 per night, which we'll likely try next time. Overall, a solid stay with great service, but ready for a facelift. read more

We stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle in November for a 5 night stay. Our experience was mostly quite enjoyable, minus 3 very specific issues that seem to be common complaints among prior guests. Room: - Nicely appointed room on the 7th floor. The interior decor is different than your standard hotel room and we all liked it. Issue #1: The bathroom was tiny. Like have to close the door and step over the toilet to get into the shower tiny. If you have two grown adults who plan on getting ready at the same time in the morning, you're going to be bumping elblows. Issue #2: The mini fridge is abysmal. It does a very poor job of cooling anything. The hotel says they will offer to store things for you in a refrigerator by the front desk, but then what's the point of having a mini fridge in your room? Who wants to go downstairs in the middle of the night to get a cold water? Service: - The staff were all very helpful. No complaints whatsoever. Other: Issue #3: The $26 (+ tax!!!) daily guest amenities fee is total bullshit. It's such a cash grab. Just charge $26 more per night. You get nothing of real value: - $10 credit to hotel's "bodega"? The bodega is literally an Ikea bookshelf behind the front desk with a random assortment of overpriced junk food and alcohol. - Access to the fitness center? Sam at the front desk was extremely pleasant and efficient. Chris ( our server) at Tulio was excellent, informative, attentive and very accommodating (I have extremely specific requests due to allergies, and to be honest preferences), and just overall pleasant. Then there is Paul, (manager at Tulio?). Very knowledgeable about the property, we were very curious about the history. However he went way over the top, when he found out it was a special occasion (our anniversary). Not only did he send out a dessert, he had the hotel send a variety of drinks and snacks to our room. My wife and I recently stayed here from 12/19 thru 12/21 2025 and was pleasantly surprised. Sam who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful and Mike the valet person was super nice and friendly. The room and bed was large and we were on the 6th floor with a view of the city. The room was quiet but we could've used more lighting in the room even when we had the curtains open it was still dark due to the gloomy rainy weather outside. Overall we had a good comfortable stay and the Hotel location to Pikes Market and other sites was within walking distance and the wife even got a few shopping done (of course). We also ate at Tulio's downstairs and enjoyed the meal. We especially enjoyed the free daily evening wine and appetizer served to help relax and prepare for the next day. I took a little solo-cation to Seattle, Washington over Veteran's Day weekend 2023 and booked a two night stay in a premium room at this Kimpton using IHG points. My 9th floor room (Maghee) was fantastic - really large with a sofa bed, desk, and king size comfortable bed. I believe the "vintage" in the name is on par with the wine theme throughout the restaurant. I have stayed at about half dozen Kimptons now and am a Platinum IHG member. Unfortunately it was this particular hotel as a whole that left much to be desired. Upon checkin and throughout my stay, I found the front desk employees to be less than welcoming. The lobby area was so, so, so small and the coffee ran out in the mornings yet the employee took her sweet time refilling it. The "gym" was the size of a closet and, what I was most looking forward to - the plant pal program - was done with zero enthusiasm by the employees. In terms of dining options, Tulio is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. I narrowly got the sweet potato gnocchi to go one afternoon moments before they closed. Speaking of Tulio, when I asked the front desk where the postcards were (a postcard writing station is a staple at many of the Kimptons I've stayed at), they gave me a Tulio postcard... so disappointing. Decent location and yes of course they do the happy hour in the small lobby nightly at 5pm. I did not attend but I did pass through one night on my way to dinner and it was packed to say the least. Whenever I return to Seattle I will look into staying at the other Kimptons in the area or return to the Fairmont. Found out the hard way that all Kimptons are not the same. After an amazing stay at the Kimpton Sawyer in Sacramento, Ca I was super excited to stay at another Kimpton during my stay in Seattle. Sadly, the Kimpton Vintage was not even in the same league. Upon check in, there was no rose', which was okay but was expected since I received it at the last Kimpton. Instead what I got was a list of things that were wrong with the hotel. First, I was advised that one of the elevators was broke. I was then advised that the restaurant would be closed for lunch and dinner during my stay which meant no room service. I was also advised that there is no pool and was not offered a plant for the room like I had been offered at the other Kimpton. Although the room was decent it was definitely nothing special and seemed outdated. Although the room did include two complementary bottles of water, there was no mini bar and no in room coffee maker. Additionally, the bathroom was tiny, outdated and underwhelming. Overall, I was super disappointed with my stay. Having stayed at other Kimpton Hotels in the past I have to say that this one did not meet expectations. Water problems. . . Cold ?(cold!) water only floors 7+. When I called the desk they first tried to pass it off then offered to move me. Although it was late and I was about to go to bed I packed up and relocated to a second floor room. Not a quick change and so it was later than I hoped going to bed. In the morning I find the water there, while not cold, is just luke-warm. Very noisy room, thermostat (or perhaps the entire HVAC) not working either. Chose the hotel based on reviews and locations to a few key areas in Seattle. We only stayed one night as we had a cruise booked the next day. You can walk to several locations from here, but ride sharing helped when we were too tired for the hills. The room was nice and the front desk was fun to talk to and checked us in quickly. The valet was helpful also in arranging a car to take us to pier 91 the next morning for our Princess cruise. The restaurant in the same building was ok - I'll try to review that separately. We missed the free beer and wine tasting as we were out seeking dinner at that time. Oh well! The only negative I can say is that my partner was sick the next morning and went downstairs asking the front desk for anything that would help her feel better. Carbonized drinks or medication...or even an banana. She was told briskly that they didn't have anything by who ever was behind the desk at that time. I went down later to walk across the street and see if a small grocery store was open yet (it was not), and asked the same question. A different person was there and she was extremely helpful. Not only did they have a soda, they had Benadryl and even tonic water... that is exactly what she needed. All of this was right in view behind the desk. My husband and I stayed here on 2/15-2/16 to continue enjoying Valentine's Day through the weekend. The hotel was cute and clean, offering free stays for pets including providing a dog bed, toys, and pet bowls. They also offer a wine reception or wine happy hour where guests can enjoy free wine and snacks. During check-in, I informed the person at the front desk that I am a member of their rewards program. Members can have free late check-out based on availability. I wasn't able to link my rewards account to my stay because I booked through a third-party site. This was no trouble and the person at the front desk said they would add the 2pm check-out to my reservation. In the elevator on the way up to our room, another guest noticed our dog and mentioned how nice the dog bed, toys, and pet bowls are for guests with dogs. These free amenities were not offered to us, but a dog bed was sent to our room when I called to request one. My husband and I returned to our room around 12:30 pm on check-out day to find that our keys no longer worked to access our room. We went to the front desk and I explained that we were supposed to have a 2pm check-out but our keys weren't working. The front desk attendant asked me if I had the cards re-keyed. I didn't know what that meant and informed her that I arranged for late check-out during check-in. She asked to see our cards and re-keyed mine and then handed it back to me and said "You are all good". I thanked her and was met with silence. During the entire exchange, she did not make eye contact, smile, or treat us kindly. It felt like she was angry with us that our keys hadn't been re-keyed properly. When we got to our room after the re-keying, I realized I needed utensils for my lunch. I was uncomfortable with interacting with the front desk clerk again so my husband volunteered to go. When he returned with the utensils he mentioned how friendly and helpful she was to him. I assumed I was misreading her body language. During check-out, I approached the front desk clerk to turn in our keys and receive the final bill. She was right back to being unfriendly and doing the absolute minimum. It truly felt as if she was angry with me and I have no idea what would have triggered her to treat me so poorly. I am black and my husband is white, and I am left feeling as though this particular employee did not want to provide service to a black woman. We stayed a night her over St. Patricks day weekend. I am torn on how to rate this . Basically it wasn't bad. If we were asked to stay again we would but I don't know if I would 100% choose to stay here again. The parking/valet is nice and well worth the $60. That was probably the highlight of the hotel. We ended up receiving a $30 amenities fee which wasn't explained when booking. It is nice they gave us $10 in credit but we learned from friends who stayed the same weekend elsewhere that they received the full $30 in credits. The lobby is TINY! We were on the 10th floor. It was warm in the room due to the sun but the windows don't even crack. There was no coffee maker in the room either. We went out for dinner and passed the social hour and it seemed decent but its tight quarters. In the morning I had to get dressed, go down stairs and get coffee. They are small cups which just meant if you wanted another cup you would have to go back down. This was a tad annoying. We were checking out that day and an hour and a half before check out they tried to come in and clean our room. House keeping knocked on the door multiple times as we were trying to get dressed to get there. Seemed odd to me. When I went to get coffee at 8:30 ish I asked if the Tulio, the restaurant in the hotel did to go orders and if they were open. She said yes to both and that they would actually bring it to the room. So about 15 minutes later I called down and they answered. I was told they weren't open and wouldn't be for 15 minutes. SO I called back 25 minutes later twice for them not to answer both times so I gave up. It is a decent location, nice building but leaves something to be desired. read more

I may add more after his stay is complete, but for now....I called the day before his check-in to request that the front desk provide him with a plant pal and an IPA beer in his room on his arrival. When I called, the front desk receptionist informed me that if it was his birthday, they could also include a celebratory goodies. I let her know that although his birthday was 3 days after he checked out, I wasn't able to be with him on his birthday and that anything they could gift would be appreciated. Upon his arrival he found "Fern" to greet him, munchies to satiate his travel cravings and 2 cans of the exact beer I requested. His hectic work trip now has some joy and festivity! I'm SO pleased with how much attention to detail they displayed. Love the Kimpton brand, but this specific Kimpton was a disappointment. We had just stayed at the Vintage Portland and very much enjoyed it, so booked this one in Seattle. Here's why it was a disappointment: 1. Arrived at 10:30 pm to check-in and there was no one at the front desk. Seems like a security issue given the elevators aren't card activated. Basically anyone can walk in.... Took 15 minutes for someone to come and check us in. 2. There's a mandatory $25 daily amenity fee for coffee and happy hour drinks... what if you're pregnant? Seems discriminatory 3. Asked for 12:15 check out instead of 12:00 pm and were denied 4. Parking is 52/night, add all the fees and you're looking at 65/night Overall the value just isn't there for this hotel. You'll be paying the same as at a nicer spot down the street. read more

The staff rocks and the hotel is in a great location, walkable and close to most things. I often travel to Seattle for work and appreciate the 5-6pm wine happy hours as an extra incentive to stay here. The adjacent restaurant is very nice, priced on the higher side, but stellar food and well stocked bar. I wish the rooms offered bottled water...water is provided in the lobby. Edna and team went out of their way to help me as I was initially provided a room, 2nd floor facing the street where traffic merges onto the freeway. It's constantly loud and bright and I was moved night #2, by my request, even though they were almost at capacity. Beautiful boutique hotel! Lots of amenities, including a cocktail/ app hour in the lobby each evening with live music. Lightly fragrant candles burning in the warmly lit lobby. Front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Enjoy your cozy room with the provided robe after a day of touring or working in Seattle. Very clean, room service was quick and reasonable from the attached Tulios (Italian restaurant) I sent some dry cleaning out at 8 am, and it was delivered to my room by 8 pm - 26 dollars for 2 ladies blouses. I really wanted to give zero stars. This is not a good hotel. The rooms are updated, but tiny. This is obviously a very old building. The plumbing is super noisy and will keep you up all night. There is absolutely nothing going on in the lobby. I was forced to stay here for work because the Monaco was overbooked. They don't do daily housekeeping, and of course they don't tell you that until you call the front desk and ask what you're supposed to do with your garbage. My TV stopped working the second night. I called the front desk and they said the entire building has no TV. No compensation was offered. My expectation when I rent a hotel room, premium rate or not, is a working TV. Front desk offered no apologies. Believe me, I wouldn't have picked this place by choice. Next time, I will tell my company that I would prefer to stay at Motel 6. PS I received a pop up from Yelp asking that I be nice because this is Covid and businesses are trying their best. My review has nothing to do with Covid and this business is definitely not trying their best. *Staff at the front desk consistently wear protective masks. read more

Kimpton Vintage - The hotel offers free wine and beer from 5 to 6 for a social hour which is a nice touch. Jesse, the concierge, was very accommodating, as was the valet driver and our housekeeper who provided a pack n play and extra towels. The room was a bit small, and only two rooms were available when we were moved. The room was set to 65 degrees however remained a bit stuffy, probably never going below 72 (my husband runs hot so he was very uncomfortable). The shower had good water pressure but the only temperatures were very cold or scalding hot. We were also offered comped dinner due to being relocated from the Palladian (helpful)! however the bistro there was closed (not helpful!). See below how we ended up staying at the Kimpton vintage. Kimpton Palladian - We flew in from Atlanta and booked the Kimpton Palladian to stay at before we flew back home. Upon arriving to the hotel we found out that they had overbooked and consequently moved us to the Kimpton Vintage (their sister hotel) where we had a smaller room for us and our 5 month old, a smaller bed, and a further distance from the sights we wanted to see. The hotel did not let us know until we arrived of this change. The positive was that they refunded us however we lost time to see the things we wanted to see and were moved to a less comfortable room/area. Prior notice of this would have been helpful. This review isn't a reflection of the concierge, housekeeping and the valet, it seems more of an issue with management. read more

This is a great clean hotel I found from price line. Kimpton hotel vintage is located on 5th street and is in the downtown where most shopping, restaurants, and 10 mins from pikes market. We took the link rail from the airport and exited university station. It was about a 6 min walk to the hotel. I would rather do that than pay Uber. But upon arrival, Zack the front desk worker was super cool and helpful. He gave us all the recommendations and places/routes to take. I already knew that was a great sign. He also was able to check us in at 12pm. Thankful we didn't have wait around. Our room was the extra size with the sofa and it's perfect for our stay. In considering this review I tried to think of things they could do better and there was only small things I could think of - therefore 5 stars. The location is great, easy walking distance to everywhere downtown, easy driving access to/from the highway. The hotel itself is an older character building but the rooms are fully renovated, modern and comfortable. The Tulio restaurant has the most charming wood bar and staircase I can recall seeing on this side of the country, reminiscent of historic pubs and restaurants in Boston. I love the size of this hotel although I can imagine in summer it may feel busting at the seams if it was fully booked, in February it was comfortable and more than adequate. The beds were comfortable and cozy, I would've preferred different pillows but it's possible I'm a bit of a princess that way. The bathroom was modern and the supplied toiletries were high quality. When we first arrived we were placed in a room beside the elevator which concerned me for noise but it didn't end up being a problem (perhaps if the hotel was busier it might have) - but I did get a chance to look at another room in the same category (king) and I was able to see not all rooms are created equally - the second one we looked at was smaller and darker - not terrible but not the same semi-spacious layout as the first. The lobby is on the smaller size but cozy, the hosted wine hour from 5-6 pm was pleasant and a nice touch. The $10 room credit for not having your room done was a neat idea. IHG members get a $10 credit for room service, the mini bar or the restaurant - if I hadn't done my research I wouldn't have known that. We used our credit to get a cinnamon bun to go each morning ($8) - it was enough for a small treat for 2 people and we enjoyed it in our room with the complimentary coffee from the lobby (til 10 am on weekdays and 11 am on weekends). It would be nice if they offered actual mugs (along with to go cups) instead of having to create waste. We would definitely consider staying here again. This is a great property, but being a regular to Kimptons, this felt just a shade under what I have come to expect. My stay was very short, and my upgraded room was nice and quiet. I was told it was a corner room, but it didn't appear to be on a corner. Still, it was plenty of room and comfort for just me. While the main room looked to Kimpton standards, the bathroom showed some age, with water damage on the bottom of the door and very basic finishes over all. Simply, it didn't have the "classy" feel of other Kimptons. With the door shut, I could have been in a Best Western. That is not make or break for me, but unique compared to their other properties. My only experience with service was attempting to order room service breakfast, which was a little sputtered. I could only reach the front desk, who told me that room service would call me back. I waited 15 minutes and called again, and this time room service called right back. It was a small hiccup, but when traveling on business, 15 minutes in the morning count. Otherwise, the experience was fine. It was a good experience for a hotel, but not quite Kimpton level. That said, I would not hesitate to return. It's a great property in a good location. read more

I booked the hotel because Kimpton has a higher standards. I came on Friday night and I saw a bug between the mattress and the box spring. The next night there was like mold on the pillow and stuff on the sheets. The bed didn't look like it was made just the blanket being tucked in. I complained on Saturday and the guy forwarded the picture of the bug on the mattress to himself. Then the next day I brought up the spots on the pillows and sheets to the supervisor who asked me if I wanted to switch rooms, I said yes. So I had to go back up and get my bags to bring them down, so they could hold them for me and wait until after 3 where I could get another room. It was inconvenient that I had to switch rooms and bring something up more than one time. The 2nd room was better and cleaner. I had a queen bed in the first room and the 2nd room. read more

I recently stayed here for birthday celebration with my daughter, my best friend and her daughter. When we checked in my friend who had booked both rooms had asked specifically not to be by the elevator. They said one room was, and the other wasn't ready. I didn't mind, so I took the room (403) and boy did I regret it. All weekend it sounded like a train chugging up and down a track outside my room. That combined with the constant honking and drag racing, from our street view room I got little sleep with how noisy the room was. Upon entering the room I noticed how nice it was until I hit my leg on the base of the bed. I continued to hit my legs all weekend long and it looked awful by the end of the trip. Plus it was about 440 per night for 2 Queens! And no coffee maker? For that price they needed to be offering breakfast or something. Positives. Nice staff, Nice rooms and beds Negatives. Expensive for what you don't get. Street view was noisy and elevator room was so obnoxious. I wish they had honored our requests read more

I lovely hotel and no line to wait to check In! Really helpful and friendly folks the counter each time I asked for suggestions they had good ideas. It's a smaller hotel and no place to sit outside besides Trulio outdoor sitting area. Didn't go there as we were having a taste for oysters, but the whole menu looked great and not too pricey. One of our best experiences as hotel guests. Staff are the most attentive and kindest people I've ever encountered on vacation. We hung out in the hotel lobby on my Birthday with a bottle of wine since our dog was not willing to allow us to go out to have dinner. Zac is such an amazing employee you should all be so proud having him as your go to man up front. We were very well taken care of.
