Very nice and classy hotel centrally located and walkable to Pike Street and main attractions of downtown. Hotel is a bit of a throwback to a bygone era with dark lobby and classy interior finishes. Room was very clean, classy and with definately a bit of a retro look and feel to it. Small gripe is the bathroom which was fine, could have been a tad larger. Integrated into the hotel is a nice bar and restaurant adding a lot of convenience to your stay. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would book here again in the future the next time my travels take me to Seattle. Had a brief business trip downtown. The hotel is centrally located in downtown. The hotel is a quick walk to the light rail from the airport (Westlake Station near hotel). Room is vintage and the whole building has a historic feel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Plenty of outlets (mostly along the floor boards). WiFi worked great. overall, I really enjoyed this day. We got a room at the separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. It comes the small refrigerator. We had to rent to microwave. They do have an attached bar/restaurant, which is nice. Everyone they are super nice. They have some coffee downstairs in the morning for free. The room is pretty clean. It is an older hotel so there's some dated couches and furniture and windows. It's got some charmed though. I did like that. The service was great. I do think it's pretty expensive for what it offers, valet parking is $55 a day. Renting the microwave is $10. We did order some breakfast one morning and it was OK but not amazing....but pricey. That's the only reason I knocked it one star. Everyone there was super nice and the service is stellar. The beds were comfortable. read more

What a great hotel in a great location! We walked to monorail, shopping, restaurants and Pike Place Market. All are within 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your pace. We arrived early and they were kind enough to hold our luggage while we walked about and checked out Pike Place Market for a few hours. When we returned, we retrieved our luggage and check in was a breeze. The room was comfy and well appointed. Coffee maker, mini fridge, bar glassware. The sofa could have used cleaning or updating but we never used it. The bathroom also offered nice products. Enjoyed breakfast downstairs at "Oliver's" one morning. It was a much larger portion than expected and delicious. No fancy coffee but sometimes it's humbling...and guess what...it was hot and tasty! read more

There are no words to describe how pleased I was with my stay at the Mayflower Park Hotel. Starting with the location: The Hotel is around the block from the light rail station, which meant I could take it from (and to!) the airport for $3, versus the $80+ it would have cost to Uber/Lyft. The general area is surrounded by very high end shops (Nordie's, All Saints, YSL, etc.) and is incredibly safe/patrolled. Even though the hotel clearly caters to a more well-heeled crowd than I, I never once was made to feel awkward or odd. Every person that I spoke to/dealt with was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Extra special shout outs to Hezekiah and Richard at the concierge for tolerating my incessant questions/requests with grace, and Sebastian and Jessie at the valet, for always having a friendly smile, helpful suggestion, or just general encouragement. Oh, and Alvin (?) in engineering who sprang to my aid. I would 100% stay here in the future if I'm ever afforded the opportunity. The room was quiet, well-appointed, and impeccably kept. Yes, it is an older hotel, so if your looking for something more tech forward, perhaps look somewhere else, but for those that appreciate the old world class of a boutique European style hotel, definitely check this out. I did check out the fitness room, which was actually a lot bigger than I expected, but I didn't use it because I walked all over that beautiful city!! 11/10. No notes!! read more

The Mayflower is an absolute gem. Not only is it one of the only independently owned hotels left in Seattle, but it has been around for close to 100 years! I found that it felt very warm and inviting throughout rather than evoking the sterile, corporate feel (from both the employees and decor) that one tends to experience at larger chain hotels. The rooms have been renovated, possibly recently, but there are definitely vintage touches such as crown molding and pedestal sinks, just to name a few. They even had stationary in the room, which is rare to find these days and brings to mind hotels I have stayed at in years past. They also have a doorman, which was a neat touch and makes me think of East Coast or even European hotels. I was also quite surprised at how quiet the rooms were, given how the Mayflower is located in the heart of downtown. Having visited Seattle a few times, I have stayed at hotels nearby that were much noisier. For fitness-minded people, they do have a gym with a few cardio machines, dumbbells that go up to 30 lbs, and a bench. It's not a large gym but it's extremely convenient to keep up with one's cardio or weight routine without having to leave the hotel. I also wanted to give a shoutout to Steven for being extremely kind and welcoming to everyone. He truly knows what good customer service is and that it's not just the rooms or amenities that make guests want to come back, but how they're treated. read more

Mayflower Park Hotel is in a fantastic location in Downtown Seattle, especially for what we wanted to do during our time there! We only had a one night stay here last week in order to catch a Mariners game and visit the famous Pike Park Market (The fish market). (+) Fantastic location! You are in a very short walking distance to food options, a CVS, and a light rail station! The light rail made it VERY easy and convenient to go to and from the Mariners game for only $3 each! What a bargain! Plus, we took the light rail straight from SeaTac Airport to the stop that was a 3-minute walk to our hotel for just $3 each! Sweet! Plus, from our hotel to the Ball Park and back was only $2.25 each (each way)! On top of all of that, you are literally a 7-minute walk to Pike Place Market! (+) The hotel is an older, historic hotel! It had a lot of old school charm to it and I'm so glad I didn't necessarily go with one of its newer and glossier counterparts. (+) Service was very good! From the doorman to the front desk, everyone was so friendly and helpful! (+) I am very happy with the room we had there. We had a room with 2 Queen beds, but also 2 full sized bathrooms! This was tremendously convenient! The room was clean, well-stocked (plenty of full-sized towels!) , and on a high floor. It also came with a fantastic view of Downtown Seattle! Since our visit was brief, I was not able to enjoy Olivers, but we loved our time in Seattle so much, I can see us visiting Olivers next time! made a return visit to Seattle to visit friends and was very pleased with my stay at the Mayflower. I chose a corner suite, which was perfect for a four night stay. The suite was spacious, like a small apartment (without the kitchen). Bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water, even on the 12th floor. I love the ambiance of this historic hotel. The service was, for the most part, excellent. Housekeeping, doormen, restaurant staff were all warm and welcoming. The only exception was a couple of staff at, of all places, reception. Upon check in Ashley seemed almost sullen. She mumbled, did not smile and there was no sense of being welcomed to the hotel. On check out there was a similar experience with the man at the desk. I did not get his name as, oddly, staff do not wear name tags. I will say that Steven, the manager was very nice and helpful. The hotel takes security seriously as a key card is needed to access the elevator and all floors. Main access has 24 hour staff. The fitness center has two bikes, a treadmill, elliptical, bench, some free weights and a yoga mat. Small, but serviceable. As others have mentioned the location is very walkable to Pike Market and the waterfront. There are only a few breakfast restaurants in the area and most are very busy. read more

We stayed here because we found a great deal On Expedia. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. I felt safe the entire time. It was centrally located. We were able to take the light rail from airport to hotel and had no need for a car during our vacation. The rooms were clean and they gave us new water bottles everyday. Mayflower Park Hotel is a great hotel and I always liked Olivers Lounge (although was sad to hear they removed several popular menu items). Delighted to find 2 bathrooms in the 2 queen bedroom. Very unique. Was strange the sink is so large though in a small bathroom, as it is right up on your arm as you sit on the toilet. I got lucky parking next door at Westlake Tower garage for $20 for 2 nights. Saved me $100! It's a strange kinda creepy parking garage and beware it closes at 7pm and you can't take out your car till it reopens at 6/10am. The hotel won't tell you about this parking option but it may be worth a chance. Most of the staff and service was dissappointing. Definitely would expect better from a hotel such as this but I think it's hard to find good workers these days. read more

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay here and to this day she rants and raves about the pillows they have. This historic building holds quite a bit of history and the location is perfect for walking just about anywhere. Every bit of service from the valet to the front desk was outstanding. Remember the Heat Dome Hell that descended upon the Pacific NW? Well it felt like the effing center of the sun and I was able to snag one of the last remaining greater Seattle reservations for an air con getaway back on 6/27/21 to 6/29/21. I tried as far north to Lynnwood and Bothell, east to Bellevue, south towards the airport, and west to the Kitsap Peninsula. I'm recalling this as I belatedly post this five months later to the day. Now why would a local resident want to stay at the Mayflower Park Hotel in downtown Seattle? Well my townhouse gets both AM/PM sun and being well insulated retains mega heat. The thought of being over 100F overnight and without AC - um, nope. No luck trying to even find an AC unit from any of the hardware or box stores. Box fans rigged up as swamp coolers didn't help much. Normally, it would be delightful to be in downtown Seattle. But the pandemic coupled with this rare extreme heat wave, pretty much shuttered most of the retailers, businesses, and restaurants within a wide radius from the hotel. Even Pike Place Market was pretty much shutdown at the time. Andaluca (onsite restaurant) wasn't an option. Both Oliver's (onsite bar) and room service were overwhelmed. It was helpful that the food court in nearby Westlake Center, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Bartell Drugs remained open. I can say that the hotel staff that I interacted at the time with were amazing. Considering the re-emergence from full on pandemic closures and now dealing with the sudden influx of guests during this heat wave, kudos to the entire hotel staff! The Mayflower Park Hotel is centrally located at 4th and Olive in the downtown retail core where main access points were both clean and secure. Valet parking was available at the time, but I had parked in nearby Belltown on Sunday and commuted to/from via Metro on the other days. The actual hotel room in this older, historical building was clean, comfortable, and safe. I was thankful for creature comforts including useful internet access (was able to work remotely), a mini fridge, and of course, air conditioning! Hopefully five months later, more normalcy has returned to the Mayflower Park Hotel. But this snapshot from late June 2021, this home away from home was spot on awesome and greatly appreciated! read more

We have been making an annual trip to the Mayflower Park Hotel during the holidays for 35 years. The change in ownership this year was very noticeable - in a negative way. There was no valet to park our car for over an hour. There were no holiday decorations in the lobby. They were very understaffed, however the staff that were working were very nice. We went to Oliver's, but were very disappointed. Gone were the peanuts (they were complimentary for many years, but recently were on the menu for a nominal charge.) This year, however, we ordered mixed nuts which were horrible - basically a bowl of raw walnuts with a few cashews and no salt. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she said that they were making another batch. Instead of bringing us another bowl, she did deduct them from our bill. We did order hummus, which was delicious. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

I stayed here at the Mayflower for three nights recently. It was a very good stay and the staff members were all super friendly and helpful. It's an older classy hotel with charm. The door service was prompt, the ladies and gents at the counter were full of good information, and the hotel, although an older building, was well kept and maintained. My only concern was that I stayed in a non-smoking room but every time I entered, I could get that slight distant sense of smoke, but it would wear off after a while after I got acclimated. The location is perfect however, being right around the corner from several public transportation nodes, a few blocks walk from Pike's Public Market, and walking distance to a lot of coffee shops and eateries. read more

We have been coming to the Mayflower Park Hotel at Christmas for 35 years. For the first 26 years it was while we lived overseas and we came home to get an infusion of Christmas which the Mayflower Park Hotel always contributed to immensely. Well those days are gone! I guess this hotel came under new management in September of this year? Good-bye quality family run. It is obvious. Christmas decorations....I guess they had three red candles and some ribbon on the table in the main lobby which looked like they had been dug out of the trash bin behind the local Goodwill Store. OMG embarrassing. Good luck finding a poinsettia or anything else about Christmas...one had to look hard. Upon check in it took 20 minutes to have someone take my key to park my car. And this isn't the staff's fault, they are completely understaffed. The staff is doing the best they can under terrible management. Olivers bar connected to the hotel??? Just not the same unless you like smaller drinks for higher prices and poor service. We are so disappointed after all these years and our little two to three day tradition in downtown Seattle at the Mayflower. I guess next year we start a new tradition at a new hotel and bar. If the hotel was a child, family services would take it away from the new management. read more

Very aesthetic and beautiful area. The room was very nice; my husband and I stayed for 3 days. Very close to a lot of restaurants/cafes. Also adjacent to a little shopping mall. The light rail and monorail are also closely connected so it's very convenient to travel. The people working at the hotel were very nice and helpful. We had a beautiful view from our room. I have traveled all over the US this year and this was my FAVORITE place I stayed all year. Such a wonderful old hotel that is well kept and had beautiful rooms, especially for the price. This room was so comfortable I ended up staying in more that I had anticipated. My room had a view of the old macys building and a beautiful tree and had a comfortable bed and chair so I could sit and read. It was spacious and very comfortable. Next time I am in town I am absolutely staying here again. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays when I was there and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I was very pleased to have stayed at Mayflower Park while I attended an academic conference at a large premium chain hotel. By the time I went to book my room, the big hotel had no rooms left, but I found Mayflower was only a few minutes walk away and had comparable room for less than the big hotel's conference discount rate. I'm fond of old hotels, and Mayflower, built in 1927, is superbly maintained. It also has an amazing bar (meaning amazing bartenders), Oliver's, so that's where I ended two of my four days delightfully. I also had a great brunch (pictured) at the adjoining Andalucia restaurant after checking out. The service at the hotel, bar and restaurant were all fantastic, and I will definitely return to Mayflower Park in the future. read more

Also, I have lots of friends who've read the books (they forced me to read it too), we're really excited. My selling point? Oliver's lounge. This hotel is one of the grand dams of Seattle. She's 94 years old and they've done a beautiful job in maintaining her elegance. From the moment we stepped in the door, we felt welcomed like no other hotel we've stayed in...ie Westin, Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott. It was a feeling of valued even though this was our first time staying here. We were guided through our quick checkin by Robert, a most delightful man. He pointed out all the hotel features like he was welcoming us into his home. Room was ready at 2:15 and headed upstairs to our deluxe king room. See photos below. Spacious, comfortable well appointed. We have free 5G Wi-Fi service in the rooms. Unlike other hotels it wasn't glitchy. A note about the housekeeping staff... We requested our room to be cleaned went out for an hour, came back and a room was done. Remarkable. It's a five minute walk to major shopping, the light rail system which will take you all over Seattle, and a variety of different coffee shops and restaurants. Note that Oliver's, the lobby bar will have a separate review. They have a variety of mixed drinks, cocktails and a limited food menu. They have room service here as well. Another hotel expense to escape the harmony hushers that reside beside me at home. I shouldn't be paying rent and for nights away for peace and quiet but that's just how things have been going. Luckily, Mayflower Park Hotel was a great choice for sound rest and relaxation. Check in was easy breezy, our room was gorgeous and SO spacious! We had a great sitting area with two chairs a table and sofa, wet bar, and more. Had we been traveling with friends or family this room would have been perfect for entertaining or hanging out in if needed. I will note, this has nothing to do with the hotel but we had several occurrences of Uber not being efficient and picking us up the the hotel addy, so I will say - beware of that, we may have just had some lousy Uber drivers. Perfect location to walk to a bunch of places we were going to. Wonderful customer service. I'd definitely stay here again in the future. read more

No need to rent a car - you're a 5 minute walk to subway, tram and monorail and a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. From the valet to check-in to room service, everything with regards to customer service was spot on. The people that work here truly want to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. When we were short on amenities, that were quick to provide them.. free of charge. Bar (Olives): it's not a bad place for an adult beverage but it is only for 21-year and above. This is a reprieve haven for most adults with or without children but also can be a logistical constraint when looking for venues to dine-in with a family... especially given the COVID constraints. While this restriction is totally understandable, I wish they outline some hours to be more accommodating. Im sure when the attached restaurant: Andalucca is open, it will not be an issue. Location: 5-minute walk to the Market and within minutes to the Monorail that will take you all the way to the space needle. You can't beat the convenience of the location with the price they are asking for. Although, Macy's is now out of business, there are plenty of other shopping venues you can patron when staying here. Just returned from a three night stay at the Mayflower. First trip to Seattle. Overall, very happy with the hotel. Got some sort of stay two night and get a discount on the third night discount. Still came to an average of around $300 per night plus tax. Just under $1000 with tax total. More than I normally spend but the super convenient location and friendly helpful staff made up for the price. Robert, at check in, took his time to explain everything to us. I appreciated that. Let's talk super location for tourists without a car. This hotel is a very short walk (2 minutes) to both the monorail (5 minute direct ride to Seattle Center which includes Space Needle and some museums) and the light rail station (35 minute ride to and from the SEA/TAC Airport). It is also less than a 1 mile walk to the tourist trap- Pike Place Market, although a bit sketchy of a walk with the homeless and other unsavory characters on the street (no fault of the hotel. It is downtown.) The hotel is also just about a mile walk to pier 52, to catch the public ferry. The hotel was built in the 20s and maintains the charm. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was comfy & quiet. The small fridge and individual cup coffee maker with Starbucks pods was a nice touch. Surprised to hear no standard daily maid service. Still due to covid? Not sure. I think that is stretching it to save money. Anyhow, we called to replenish supplies as needed and they did arrive quickly. I noticed some signs of repair needed on the carpet and some mold in the shower but willing to overlook based on all the other positives the hotel offered. We tried the breakfast restaurant, Andaluca, inside the hotel. It was charming and delicious. Again, this place has convenience all wrapped up! After a night in town, it was welcoming to enjoy a cocktail and bite in the quiet hotel bar, Oliver's. Staff there were on point and professional.
