Breakfast sandwich - layered with care, so good!

Stopped in at 11 on a Sunday. Hubby and I both ordered different breakfast sandwiches. Both great. They layered multiple layers of egg and cheese around the bacon. Bacon was perfectly cooked. Homefries- I don't usually like home fries, but the seasoning and light crisp on these was delicious. Atmosphere is nice too, warm sunshine and a view out the back to the orchard. We will come again.

Cute little place. Stopped in here with my Mom after running some errands in the area. Glad we stopped in. Cute country store ambiance and a big selection of food perfect for lunch. Lots of frozen items as well to take home. We took home a Mountain High Apple Pie. It was so good , did not last us very long we ate it up so quick. I had a Reuben sandwich it was perfect. Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table.

Such a cute place! So glad we came by and had lunch here. So pleasant walking into a country store only to find a huge open space with a frozen area full of pies, food items to pick up and go. Plus, a large kitchen where all the fresh sandwiches, soups, salads are prepared. Order at register then they bring it out once done. Staff was super nice and the place was very clean. Open area to sit and gaze over their beautiful orchards. I Ordered Mama's Chicken Salad and it was delicious, with a side of fresh sliced apple, pickle and a soda. They have an area for shopping gifts, puzzles, novelties etc.. I also ordered a Mile High Apple Pie which I cannot wait to bake at home. I've never seen such a huge pie. So please, please give this business a try it's such a delightful place to take a drive to Sterling, MA and stop in. You won't regret it.

Two time visit while home in the states. It was wonderful to have an American breakfast that was GOOD! some of the best wild blueberry pancakes I have ever had. Perfect poached egg. Sausage that was not too greasy. Service was Massachusetts feisty, and that's ok. Only reason for 4 stars v 5? Coffee, while Green Mountain, was not to standard.

A great lunch experience, polite timely service , quality fresh food and clean bathrooms . There's plenty of great spots inside and outside with a great view ..bet it's even beautiful in the winter or a dreary rainy day . Spacious enough for big families , wheelchairs and indoor games go for kids . The portions are very generous if you get a sandwich and soup you also get chips and apples and in the $10-12 range and a free Cider Donut definitely not stingy at all don't judge it by its looks ! The procedure for ordering is like filling out a Keno looking slip , old school like it . I also got married there 1 , $1000 deposit and then you can pay the $3000 right near the Wedding which was great . The $3000 is with the 3 main courses , 3 apps , and a salad considering all the stuff and town it was a good total with nice portions ..just a rough example to help . The appetizers were fancy to spinach pie , and salmon canopies for example . We worked with Jason for a small part then Maureen took over and did nice job helping us plan timely but not rushed either. She showed us all the Menu items thoroughly and was laid -back with a sense of humor . She picked out beautiful purple and orange table clothes so it was 70s mixed with Fall . Assigned -seating was a good recommendation to keep things more simple and less musical chairs and handled my table chart errors well ...others Venues could of been less patient and made me cry on Wedding day . I picked the right place to get Married for sure , delicious food , good dancing room and beautiful scenery . Definitely recommend it !

If you're looking for a really good place to grab a soup and sandwich or maybe some breakfast, this should be on your option list. I've been here a handful of times and cant say that I've ever been disappointed. Prices range in the $8 - $12 range but for $12 you could get a whole sandwich, soup, fruit, pickle, chips and a dessert which I would say is pretty damn reasonable. Food always tastes great and the orchard provides you with an absolutely STUNNING view. Overall, this is a really good local spot to grab some lunch and relax.

My lunch when weather was warm - coming soon!!

I've visited several times and each time has been wonderful. Of the two items I clearly remember: the traditional breakfast sandwich was great. Bacon, egg, cheese, on a bulky roll. Easy to eat while driving, made fresh, tasty and sat well in my gut. This fine morning, I had the salmon bagel with the onion, tomato caper and hard boiled egg. While it couldn't eat it in car without a mess or bodies littering the streets, I waited until I got to the office. What I got was fantastic. Lots of salmon with cream cheese, sliced onion and tomato, and a condiment cup of capers. Slapped it all together (except the egg) and went to town on it. Good stuff. I can't say I've been in and ever found it to be backed up. Service has always been courteous, prompt, and attentive but not overbearing. While it is slightly off the commute route of rt2 ( but only about three Minutes off the exit. And drive right by that lowbrow Dunks), if you are coming from south of downtown Sterling on 12, it is an easy visit that will make your day a little better. And just for kicks, tell them Josh sent you. They'll have no idea who you're talking about but could be fun. I didn't keep track of the price today, but I'm usually getting out of there with something good to eat and a coffee for under 15 well-spent dollars. The place has a cool look to it. It used to be a couple different bank branches. Inside, they kept the vault door and used some of the safety deposit box doors as decorations. Pretty cool.

When we passed by Farmer and the Fork, we were immediately struck and embraced with an inviting and intense aroma of cider doughnuts wafting through the air. We made it a point to return afterwards and we did, there was no disappointment. About the circular size of a standard mug, the cider doughnuts were freshly made, warm and had great texture and slight chew. And so we had to order another half dozen. Just that good. Although we don't typically seek out grilled cheese, we noticed on their menu a selection with braised short ribs. Our decision was made and it was the right one. Sinking your teeth into the buttered crisp toast, into the cheese and finding the short ribs before biting through and pulling away with everything and chewing, delighted us very much. They also had apple cider and hot chocolate which could be have an addition of spirits for an extra cost. My friend got the apple cider with Captain Morgan's and I ordered the hot chocolate with Kalua. Come here definitely for the warm cider doughnuts and you won't regret it - you might just order another half dozen or two!

When I got the text -went inside at the counter for pick up, the woman was not helpful. ( Rudely told me to find my tray by using my paper receipt. ) The drink bar was disorganized, a long line. The teen-ages in front took the lemonade, stopped and drank half a cup then refilled, their cup right there, thus holding up the long line. There was separate ice but the kids tipped the lemonade so plastic ice holder was slanted inside the holder. I noticed the drip bowl was overflowing and lemonade was spilled all over the counter. I proceeded outside to eat at the tables and chairs, but all 10 tables were full (some with just 2 people and 6 chairs. ) So I crossed to the other side with open 10 tables - two young girls told me to leave. A private party inside had 1/2 hour left. Yet, I noticed that not anyone was outside at all. They said the 10 blue umbrella space was paid for , even if not being used - so leave. The cafe could have used that lovely new blue umbrellas 10 extra outside seating area, (as cafe was extremely busy and weather was splendid. ) I retreated back to the cafe outside area, and stood up to eat. I noticed the concrete was broken, sticks everywhere and the umbrellas on this side were not secured well , thus blowing in the breeze. The nice private other side of the deck remained unoccupied with the extra -10 blue umbrellas at the tables closed off for the rest of the afternoon. Still closed and totally unoccupied even after the time was up. (The private party apparently choice to remain inside. ) Meanwhile, cafe side remained crowded. Food was expensive $16 for a salad. $4.25 for lavender lemonade. Not the Best experience. The view was lovely.
