Tuna melts, cinnamon swirl pancake, and a hot dog for good measure
    Abbie M.

Awesome little spot for weekend breakfast! After discovering this one morning when in town for a tournament, it became our go-to spot in this area. There's a huge menu to pick from, and we've tried a few of their specialties: Regular burger, bazinga burger, chili, tuna melt, and cinnamon swirl pancakes. The standout for me is the cinnamon swirl pancake -- the genius addition of a sticky cinnamon swirl ribbon gets all caramelized as the pancake cooks. It's fantastic. There are still plenty of COVID precautions in place, such as plexiglass and well-distanced tables, which I love! The staff all seem really kind and helpful, laughing through some slightly-odd requests like single bananas and sides of hot dogs. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

The haddock was fresh, flaky, and delicious! And did I mention HUGE?

Don't ever judge a book by its cover. From the outside, this looks like a restaurant that has been converted from a drugstore. In fact I think it might have been. But inside it's another world. Nothing fancy but comfortable big booths and tables. Friendly waitstaff surpasses your expectations, and food that's out of this world! I had a piece of haddock that took up an entire plate--it was huge! See picture. I tried the strawberry shortcake too. It was very good! Do yourself a favor, if you're in Lancaster. Come try Sandres out. The bridge diner down the street gets a lot of attention, and it's not a bad place to go. But this place is better in my opinion. Check it out.

MUST TRY! Cinnamon roll pancakes. The BEST!

I've switched up the ham to their bacon which is delicious! Thick cut, crispy and tons of it! I also recommend getting an extra side of hollandaise because it's THAT good! Kids miniature chocolate chip pancakes are filling and pretty large. Dine-in they have kids cute coloring page and yummy hot coco! I had the chance to dine-in and the inside is decorated nicely and I love the light coming from all the large windows. I wish there were more booth seating available, the hard wooden chairs are not that comfy. - Small waiting area in front and outdoors - outdoor seating when it's nice out - online ordering avail for easy pickup and delivery (by 3rd party) - share parking lot but usually pretty full, overflow in Whole Foods lot avail - you can now reserve tables! Yah! Note: $10 no-show fee

The place itself was clean, neat, and not very large. We ordered the regular eggs Benedict (around $21) and the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict (around $30). Between the two, I definitely preferred the chicken and waffle Benedict. It was more savory, whereas the regular eggs Benedict also savory but came with a red sauce that was surprisingly sweet when I was expecting something more traditional and savory. Overall, I would come here for a special occasion, as the price point feels a bit high for what you get. You can definitely find a similar eggs Benedict elsewhere for cheaper. That said, I do recommend trying the green hot sauce they have. I thought it paired really well and tasted better with the dish.

When we passed by Farmer and the Fork, we were immediately struck and embraced with an inviting and intense aroma of cider doughnuts wafting through the air. We made it a point to return afterwards and we did, there was no disappointment. About the circular size of a standard mug, the cider doughnuts were freshly made, warm and had great texture and slight chew. And so we had to order another half dozen. Just that good. Although we don't typically seek out grilled cheese, we noticed on their menu a selection with braised short ribs. Our decision was made and it was the right one. Sinking your teeth into the buttered crisp toast, into the cheese and finding the short ribs before biting through and pulling away with everything and chewing, delighted us very much. They also had apple cider and hot chocolate which could be have an addition of spirits for an extra cost. My friend got the apple cider with Captain Morgan's and I ordered the hot chocolate with Kalua. Come here definitely for the warm cider doughnuts and you won't regret it - you might just order another half dozen or two!

There's a pretty good sized menu, and everything looked great! You order at the counter, and pick your own seating. I had the walnut Crusted Spinach & Gruyere Chicken Roulade Bowl- which came with a generous serving of the chicken, Roasted Tomatoes, Toasted Herbed Pearl Couscous over Farm Greens with a Cider Vinaigrette. It was filling, but not too heavy (perfect)! Will definitely be back!

I really dig this little place…read more Like most single/units, I like to wait until I've visited a couple times. Kind of smooths the occasional peaks and nadirs with small joints. I've visited several times and each time has been wonderful. Of the two items I clearly remember: the traditional breakfast sandwich was great. Bacon, egg, cheese, on a bulky roll. Easy to eat while driving, made fresh, tasty and sat well in my gut. This fine morning, I had the salmon bagel with the onion, tomato caper and hard boiled egg. While it couldn't eat it in car without a mess or bodies littering the streets, I waited until I got to the office. What I got was fantastic. Lots of salmon with cream cheese, sliced onion and tomato, and a condiment cup of capers. Slapped it all together (except the egg) and went to town on it. Good stuff. I can't say I've been in and ever found it to be backed up. Service has always been courteous, prompt, and attentive but not overbearing. While it is slightly off the commute route of rt2 ( but only about three Minutes off the exit. And drive right by that lowbrow Dunks), if you are coming from south of downtown Sterling on 12, it is an easy visit that will make your day a little better. And just for kicks, tell them Josh sent you. They'll have no idea who you're talking about but could be fun. I didn't keep track of the price today, but I'm usually getting out of there with something good to eat and a coffee for under 15 well-spent dollars. The place has a cool look to it. It used to be a couple different bank branches. Inside, they kept the vault door and used some of the safety deposit box doors as decorations. Pretty cool.
