When I was struggling to mount a shelf, I got advice from one of the employees who was super friendly and explained to me exactly how to screw in the L brackets I was struggling with. He walked me over to the aisle and showed me exactly which screws would and wouldn't work for my project and explained to me how the screws would interact with different wall materials. Most recently I dropped by just before they closed to pick up drywall paste and a pallette knife. Despite me walking in ten minutes before they were supposed to shut, they didn't make me feel rushed at all and helped me find what I was looking for. I always prefer supporting a local business and I love having a neighbourhood hardware supply store I can count on with employees who feel kinda like family.

I did not measure the 3 pieces of wood after she cut them, I will always measure wood after it is cut in the store! When I got home to use the wood for a project, all three pieces were cut a relative considerable amount to short. I called to let the store know and the same lady said the saw wasn't always accurate. I don't understand how a manual saw cuts inaccurately at a hardware store. Before she cut them I did explain how they needed to be cut to the exact measurement. If the saw didn't cut accurately this would have been important to know, as I would not have had her cut the pieces of wood. I will not be going back to Magnolia Ace Hardware.

The other employees were trying to steer him away from customer view but it was clear as day, the man was obviously under the influence. He couldn't stand, walk, talk, or function in any way. I felt really bad for the other employees who were having to mommy him. It made for a disturbing atmosphere; I ended up just leaving.
