There was quite a bit of traffic at this location as it was conveniently located close to the main highway. I stopped in here a couple of times for a quick cheap meal while staying in Canmore. For each visit, I went inside and placed my order via one of the ordering kiosks. Even though it was busy, I didn't have to wait too long for my food to come out. Here's what I ordered on separate occasions: Mighty Angus Burger and medium french fries Fish & chips and medium french fries (I do love their fries!) Other than the fries, it was good to try out items that are not available in the States. I thought that the Mighty Angus Burger was one of the better burgers that I've eaten. The McDonald's with the best view. It was slammed on this Sunday morning. Well, closer to noon. We went inside as there were about 20 cars lined up for the drive thru. We ordered at the self serve panel. We waited only 5 minutes for our number to be called. 25 orders were ahead of us. My hash browns were not hot. Other than that, it was the same old stuff. I ordered a grilled country chicken combo with fries and a tea. I usually eat the fries first since those are best when they're hot and fresh. Next, I go for the sandwich. I'm all of 2 bites in when I notice there's not much left to the other part of the sandwich. I take off the top piece of bread and notice that the chicken is more than 3/4 done. This leaves more than half of the sandwich with no chicken. Uh, why do I only get chicken on half of my sandwich? I go stand by the counter and there's at least 3 staff working but conveniently don't see me standing there with my sandwich in my hand. I'm there a good 5 minutes, burning holes into the back of the manager on duty, before he turns around and sees me standing there not looking too pleased. I explain the situation and wonder if perhaps I should be paying for half a sandwich instead. He offers to make me a new sandwich. I understand no one wants to deal with issues that customers have but mine was a simple fix, if any of those staff bothered to look up. Great location! Very popular both in-house and drive thru. Lineups at both the in-house and drive thru can be long especially in summer during tourist season. Coffee, drinks and burgers/fries/salad products are always satisfactory, typical McDonald's. Given how busy they are I think the staff do a great job. The location is always clean, run efficiently and staff are courteous and friendly. Lots of parking. read more

This McDonald's is always busy. It doesn't matter if you're in the middle of ski season, or the height of summer, you can always expect a line 5 people deep on the weekends. However, the staff are always prepared for it. The managers seem to push their staff to perform to a top notch level, and the staff respond well by pumping the people through. read more

This location isn't bad as McD's goes. It is always busy but the service is fast. I find the staff are better at serving up the orders quickly than answering any questions you might have so don't try to ask questions about ingredients or the difference between sandwiches because they wont know. Food is fresh and well made though. The downfall of this location is cleanliness. The washrooms are smelly and the table area isn't always kept up well even in slower areas. I guess that is what you get for a highway kind of location. Also be careful when walking across the lot. Not McDonalds fault but people are rushed/not paying attention and like to try to run over people walking to and from the restaurant. You also have to cross the Drive Thru on the west side of the lot to get inside, which adds an extra challenge. read more

If you are using their drive thru, check your bags for napkins, ketchup, forks or any add-ons you would need before driving away. And always check your drinks, their machines are watered down and was given watered down soda on multiple occassions. read more

McDonald's is the same no matter where you go. The lobby is pretty small so if it does get packed expect to be waiting outside. Unfortunately this location is not a part of the Create Your Taste promotion but they still do offer the same menu like all other McDonald's. read more

3 consectutive days in row in the morning for a coffee and 3 consecutive days of trying to figure out why it is taking so darn long?

While traveling through Canmore my husband and I picked up a couple coffees to go. This MacDonald's definitely has the best view, however, I don't know if they clean their coffee machines regularly. It was the worst coffee in our life (60+years). After a few sips we had to throw them out and I felt ill for a number of hours. read more
