It's always hard to find a good breakfast place that has good, fresh food and also good coffee. The hash browns here are clearly made fresh (not frozen and reheated) and I would definitely recommend getting them "loaded" with chipotle mayo, green onion, tomato and jalapeno. The Huevos Rancheros is delicious, I got it 3 days in a row! They made it with a base of black beans and hash browns on a tortilla and then once the eggs and cheese are on it they broil it to toast the cheese and edges of the tortilla. The eggs were always a perfect over-easy and the chipotle mayo from the "loaded" has browns goes well with the dish. The staff is all super friendly and recognized me as a return customer by my second day there. They have toys they hand out to kids when families come in and the place seems very family friendly. In addition to the inside seating, there's a great patio that has a wonderful view from it. If you're here during the summer, I would definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view and great food! read more

First time here. Shocked I've never been since I live in Alberta. Came here Saturday morning for breakfast around 10am. You need to grab yourself menus, any open seat, go to the front and place your order. They'll give you an action figure to keep at your table, it's a cute system. Then they deliver your food. It was pretty busy but we were lucky to only wait about 5 minutes before we got a table. Cute and cozy vibe. I can't recommend the cinnamon bun enough, perfect and soft and not overly sweet since it wasn't smothered in icing. I cannot stress enough to get the huevos rancheros, omggg to die for. The breakfast burrito was also fire. Our little one loved the kids waffle won sausage and a chocolate milk. That with two coffees came to around $65. read more

The breakfast burrito was delicious, especially with the toasted salsa and cheese on top. The wrap was good as well but didn't quite have the same amazing flavor of the burrito. We were looking for a Good place for breakfast and this place satisfied just that. As you enter you have a huge chalk art menu that's pretty neat. You can grab your table then order as well. They have some pretty good breakfast options and coffee and much more. We ended up getting their traditional breakfast with potatoes, 2 eggs and toast and choice of bacon or sausage. We also got an order of the Belgian waffles and they were so delicious and fluffy and so flavorful came with butter and syrup. We got a latte and OJ but it wasn't fresh squeezed but still good. When you order your food you get the coolest toys and figurines (Dinosaurs, Joker) pretty neat instead of your usual numbers or buzzards. They also have these cool flip signs that say please clean me or Sanitized so another person can sit there and they are quick to clean them as well. Very easy going ambiance and the waitresses here and people taking order were very chill and hardworking. There are only a few tables inside but there is a nice outdoor seating outside with umbrellas if you want to chill outside. Their bathrooms were small but very clean and lived their soap selection from Rocky Soap company it's my favorite lemongrass it's been everywhere and a nice touch. I had a delicious breakfast at the summit cafe and enjoyed my dinning experience immensely. You order at the counter and they give cute figurines to mark your table. The omelet was packed with a variety of fresh vegetables, the potatoes were perfectly cooked and even the jam was 5 stars. I noted that Canadian condiments don't have high fructose corn syrup in them and I could really taste the difference. The ketchup was so good too! I got a dirty chai latte and one of their big chocolate chip cookies as well. The chai was alright, but I tasted my friends americano and that was really delicious. SUPER COOL SPOT! This cafe was so cute and I loved that it had character to it. It is a great place to start before heading to Banff for some nature. We came pretty early around opening and noticed that it got crowded pretty quickly on a Saturday morning, so keep that in mind, because this place certainly seems to be popular! FYI - the breakfast and lunch menu are both available all day from what I can recall, which is great. I ended up getting the Grotto bowl (lunch menu item) and my boyfriend ended up getting the Huevos Rancheros (breakfast menu item) and both came out looking like a million bucks. I personally LOVED the Grotto bowl so much and the Tahini-lime dressing that comes with it was unique and amazing to me. I recommend adding a fried egg to make the bowl even better than it already is! The cold brew here was good too and not overly strong. My favorite thing about this restaurant though are the "runners" that they provide you to associate you with your order, which is basically like a "number" that you place on the table at an ordinary restaurant. These "runners" come as random figurines (i.e., dinosaurs, monsters, chickens, etc.) and I find it extremely dorky and cute. Definitely makes the experience more fun! I dropped into the Summit because their menu is diverse, always very good and the service is always excellent. I ordered my usual the Burrito Breakfast along with Guatemalan coffee. They were both so good I wish I could have it everyday for the rest of my life. We visited Summit Café on a return trip from Banff to Calgary following a holiday ski trip and were so pleasantly surprised. Located in an unassuming building in a largely residential area, the vibe in this small café was just as great as the food. Friendly staff, cool music and a clean but eclectic dining area all contributed to a great experience. My family all ordered egg dishes and loved them. Huevos Rancheros and the Amigos both proved delicious and filling. I ordered the breakfast burrito and loved it as well. Fresh ingredients and a generous side of crispy potatoes had me stuffed just the right amount for our travel day. We also enjoyed the delicious coffee from a great selection.
