My experience was very disappointing . First my wrap came with cheese which I specifically asked for none as I'm lactose intolerant.. since the waiter never came to check how our meals were , I had to find him to let him know my meal was unacceptable. Perfect stop for a bike ride from Canmore. Cozy indoor and nice sized outdoor space with a beautiful view. Plenty of servers. The green salad has just the right amount of dressing and the pulled pork flatbread (pizza) was crispy and had just the right amount of toppings to crust. I'd recommend this place. read more

Came without a reservation for early dinner, but was able to be seated right away outdoors. Luckily they had heaters because it was getting chilly. The views were great! Service was great and the servers were attentive. Only thing was food took a real long time to come out. I got the special of the day, which was seafood linguine. They had ran out of the lasagna. The sauce was really good, but the clams and mussels were super tiny. The dish was still pretty tasty. Tiramisu was a pass and the flatbread was just okay. The shank was tender and tasty, and rapini nicely done. The gnocchi, however, tasted like it was made from reconstituted potatoes. It's a chilly night with snow gently falling, and a tall wooden building with light glowing out of the windows beckons warmly. Inside are jars of pickled mushrooms, beet pesto, duck pate etc that we purchase before we take our seats. Glad to pull our masks down and breathe openly, we peruse The Happy Hour and Specials which are great deals here. However, we had a yearning for mussels and egad! how wonderful that we indulged it. The mussels are EVERYTHING. Personally, I would make this dish larger and have it as an entree on the menu, not an appetizer. It comes with some fresh bread to mop up the liquid gold juices. We followed that with duck confit which was also very delicious and the sweetness of the candied pecans contrasted nicely with the salty crispy skin. This is the first review I have ever left on Yelp after using it for over 15 years, so that should tell you something! We made a last minute reservation, then got lost (lots of construction in the area so the turns are hard to navigate, even though the physical location is not hard to find), so we arrived 15 minutes before closing. There was one other table about to order dessert when we arrived. Despite the lateness, they took our order and served us two fantastic plates of pasta. The noodles were al dente, and the carbonara was just the right consistency with the egg yolk (the kind you know will be like glue if you don't eat it right away). They even asked if we wanted starters, then after we finished, insisted we look at the dessert menu. They even did cocktails for us. We could see them continuing to tend to the other table, who were casually chatting and enjoying their drinks. They ended up getting dessert, then I think because they realized how late it was, asked to take the dessert to go. We watched the staff bring out expertly packaged items, going over how to put the items together when the guests got home. Having worked as a server, I know how much of a hassle it can be when guests come right before closing, and I don't expect much when I can't avoid it. The quality of the food and the service was stellar despite our tardiness. At no point did we feel treated any differently than if we had been there two hours earlier. I think our expectations were a little too high after reading reviews. The food was alright. All the entrees had the same vegetables. The chicken Marsala wasn't a curry and was pretty bland. My mother in law's food was so salty she barely ate. The service was slow and they were more attentive to people sitting outside. When we asked if we could sit outside, they declined saying that we had to book it separately when that was not noted on Open Table or on the phone. read more

We were looking for a place to get a meal on our way back to Vancouver and found this place on Yelp - and we were not disappointed! Atmosphere: The orange glow of the restaurant's lights gave off a very warm and cozy feeling as we were walking up to it through the snow and ice. It felt like a friendly, cozy place, and the decor really helped to add to the mood! Staff: Friendly and prompt. We felt very well taken care of. I felt they were a little skimpy on the chicken. The baguette was perfect to scoop up the leftover sauce. The service was okay. I think they were a little short staffed at first but while we were there more staff showed. The kitchen and dishwashing were in the same room. But every time the chefs went in and out of the kitchen they looked like they weren't enjoying their jobs at all. It could be a fun atmosphere. Maybe they were just having an off day. We stopped for lunch (12:30pm on a Saturday) and there was absolutely no one there when we first arrived, so we had our choice of table but it slowly started to pick up by the time we left. My boyfriend and I both got the french onion soup to start. I enjoyed the pieces of beef in the soup itself, but I found the broth to be quite vinegary. Not my personal favourite. The crouton and cheese were delicious though. I got the steak Panzanella​ and loved it! I was a bit taken aback by​ the fact that despite it being under the salad portion of the menu, there was not a single lettuce leaf. Regardless, it was SUPER tasty! I was a big fan of the remoulade sauce as well as the beet mousse it came with. I would definitely recommend and would come back for the Panzanella​ alone. My boyfriend got the Italiano panini​ with the side salad. Even though it stated on the menu it was a panini, it came on a french baguette. He found the baguette was pretty tough and a bit challenging to eat without cutting the inside of your mouth. The side salad was light and refreshing. Neither of us got what we expected, but my expectations were surpassed​ while his fell a little short. Amazing from start to finish. We are visiting from the US. We flew into Calgary, picked up our car, and we were driving to Banff. I saw this was a restaurant on our route to our hotel, and so we stopped here for dinner. The food was incredible. We shared a caprese burrata plate for the appetizer. It was melt in your mouth good. For our main courses, my husband had the mushroom linguine with truffle oil, and I had the seafood linguine. They were both spectacular! The service was quick and friendly. The French onion soup had a moderate amount onions and melted cheese. Would have appreciated riper tomatoes on the caprese salad. The chicken Marsala included a small chicken breast with wing attached and mushrooms. Thought the peppers and potatoes were nice additions. On a local's recommendation we found this place in a nearby neighborhood. There is seating indoors and outdoors. We sat under an umbrella and a wind came up so it was chilly. Coats solved that but I'm sure our food cooled off too soon. We had a Caesar salad, chicken marsala, mushroom papardelle, a baguette and a beer. We loved it all.. We are on vacation and stumbled upon Market Bistro. Absolutely Amazing!! The servers were attentive and extremely accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasing, especially with children. And the food - some of the best dishes we've ever tasted. From the beef carpaccio, to the French onion soup, to the gnocchi and seafood linguini. The highlight was the flatiron steak and the pollo penne. And to finish the evening, lemon pie, Bavarian cheesecake, chocolate torte, and Tiramisu. We had a wonderful dinner at the Market Bistro. It refers to its dishes as French and Italian, but is mostly Italian. My Pollo Linguine was outstanding and my wife's Lobster and Crab Ravioli was excellent. The dressing on the house salad was wonderful as well. I can't really comment on the food because we never had any, but I can comment on the service. We had a 7:15 reservation. We arrived and after standing for a moment someone asked us if we needed help I stated that we had a reservation, the gentlemen then just shrugged and said she can help you. We were then walked to the patio and she pointed at a table and said there. Ok, not such a warm greeting. We sad down and were approached and given menus. The server was very difficult to understand she opened the drink menu and pointed to 3 wines mumbled something and walked away. I wasn't sure if they were the wines offered by the glass that night. I never go to ask as she never returned. 15 minutes later 2 other tables were sat and had drinks one had even ordered food. We were still sitting there with nothing but menus and water. When I am up at three sisters I will drop in here for either a coffee/quick or relaxing lunch/ and on the odd occasion dinner. What makes this place so amazing and delicious is the staff, food and I especially like their coffees. When I am just their for a coffee I will have an Americano or Cappuccino and sometimes one of their lunchtime specials. Usually a sandwich, flatbread or wrap. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel and is a central meeting point for locals in the area. Parking is easy and their outdoor patio in summer is breathtaking and relaxing. Let me start by saying I'm giving a 4 based on what we felt was lacking service. Service was friendly, but our server disappeared entirely after taking our order. We ordered our meal and requested only water to drink. After about 20 minutes we had to ask the other server for water as our server never returned & was sitting eating a meal elsewhere in the restaurant. My husband tried making eye contact a few times to no avail. The other server was nice & did complete our service effectively. The food was very good and well prepared. We had the Caesar salad and the cassoulet which had bacon, pork shoulder, sausage, and duck confit in a white kidney bean stew. The flavors were sooooo good and the various meats all very tender. It was so full flavored & hearty, perfect for a snowy evening. The Caesar would have been better for one person, rather than sharing. It's not a traditional one so sharing the dollops of dressing and sunny side up egg were problematic for us. The flavors & freshness were still very good. I was so happy to find a vegetarian version and one that was so yummy. My bf had the mussels which he said were among the best mussels he has ever had. We both had vegetarian lasagna and it was very tasty. The baguette was even delicious. They have a nice wine selection and helped us choose one that was very nice. Our server was excellent. This place is fantastic! They don't look like a fancy restaurant at its outlook but the food is absolutely gorgeous! There is only one chef but he platted the dishes with his whole heart. He can match every ingredient perfectly in one dish. We ordered mussel with his grandmother's recipe. It was impressive. The sauce is delicious yet didn't cover the seafoody taste of the mussels. Must try! Goes well with the crusty bread and lime. We ordered the combo platter too. There was much more ingredients than expected and they platted it very beautifully with nuts. It's more like an appetizer than a main dish tho. This can be shared among 2 ppl for high tea and goes well with red wine! The platter is a bit salty tho My favorite dish is on the special menu - the black cod topped with shrimp and rice. Again, the chef matches the ingredients soo well and we love it! The portchetta is pretty good too! It doesn't look as good when they presented the dish but they cooked the pork belly crust to perfect and the meat was juicy AF. Sharing among 4 people would be ideal cause the portion was pretty big. Cons: French onion soup needs to be saltier. The food comes a bit slow but probably because it is new. read more

The menu includes a nice set of appetizers of which the Panzanella was great and mains featuring meat, fish, and vegetables. This was a great little find very close to where we were staying. As soon as I walked in the food aromas told me the food was gonna be great. Ordered the daily special with roasted cauliflower soup, buttered chicken (the flavors in the sauce were amazing & the chicken so tender)& maple creme brulee (very light yet yummy). Also ordered the mussels and they were like none I'd had before. The menu said Mom's secret recipe and it was absolutely delish!
