I happened upon this restaurant as it is right next to my hotel, and it ended up being my favorite restaurant from my Banff trip. The restaurant had a chill vibe and comfortable booth, the service was great, and the food was delicious. The star of our meal was the tiki pizza. The theme of this pizza is comparable to any Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple), but this pizza just seemed to hit the perfect balance between approachable, satisfying, and elevated (due to the jalapeño oil). The meatballs were tasty and comforting. The sauce was good and served as a perfect dipping sauce for the pizza and garlic bread. I'm not big on beet salads, but I enjoyed this one. The unexpected star of the salad was the whipped feta. It was just a wonderful mix of salty, rich and airy. 5/5 will definitely return next time I visit Banff! read more

Wonderful pizza restaurant in downtown Banff. Came here for a later evening meal after a day in the park. Food we tried: * Roasted broccoli - absolutely delicious and so well cooked with puréed tomatoes and walnuts * The Supreme - solid classic pizza topping mix * The Local - very generous with meat toppings, fun twist with the maple syrup that gave it a sweet hint Service was excellent -- friendly and prompt. Casual yet elevated ambiance. read more

Molto bene! Hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in Banff, and quite possibly all of Alberta! My husband is full Italian, so I'm Italian by marriage :), and we're super picky about Italian food since he and my mother-in-law are amazing chefs in their own right. Recently we were in Banff for the 1st time since 2019, and also in town for the Banff Marathon weekend, so we were in search of a great place to order pasta the night before the race (for that proper carbo loading meal!). The tricky part is that we're also vegan athletes, but guess what? Una Pizza has fantastic vegan options! Here's what we ordered: *Vegan Pasta (our favorite: so full of flavor, full of veggies & even gluten-free) *Vegan Pizza (lots of veggie, tomato sauce, no cheese) *Rosemary Focaccia Bread *Roasted Broccoli (loved the sun-dried tomato pesto & we requested no pecorino romano) It all was so delicious that we went back 2 more times during the week-long trip! Loved that we could order ahead online and just pop in to pick up our order. If you prefer to eat in, they have indoor and outdoor seating. All 3 times we came by to pick up our food, the staff members were all really friendly & welcoming, and one of the guys even congratulated me on my race! We can't wait to come back next year to Banff and to UNA! read more

My favorite place to dine at while in Banff! The people of Banff are just so nice and welcoming! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious espresso martini with tequila (personal preference) and shared a pizza and salad. We ordered the Simple Green Salad and The Local pizza. What can I say? When in Canada make sure you put some maple on it?! The maple toasted sunflower seeds in the salad was a nice touch *chefs kiss* and maple syrup on the fennel and bacon pizza *drool*! I wish we had time and an appetite to try all the pizzas. I would definitely recommend making this one of your dining stops! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Nice service and cute space but I was not impressed with the "local" pizza (meat and maple syrup). The crust tasted like it came out of a residential oven and I found the pizza dry. The "fried garlic bread" was far greasy for me (but my husband said it was just slightly too greasy). read more

Came for dinner after a day of hiking to a packed restaurant on Sunday night (about 30 min wait for a walk-in) and had a great experience. To start, we had the fried garlic bread with tomato sauce ($17, great) and the three cheese stuffed Arancini ($13, good), and for mains we had the pesto pizza with sunflower seeds ($27, excellent) and the gnocchi bianca ($26, great). Our server was very accommodating of substitutions we requested. The Earl's Pale Ale from Born Brewing was a nice beer to go along with the meal. read more

We ate here twice on our trip. Menu is marked gluten free. There is gluten free brioche, pizza and pasta. The gluten free pizza was good--nothing impressive and the edges were overcooked/burnt. They also forgot my vegan cheese the first time and when I sent my pizza back, I got my pizza back with barely any cheese on it. That's pretty disappointing when you're already paying an upcharge for gluten free crust and for vegan cheese. My husband got the gnocchi Bianca (substituted gnocchi for gluten free pasta) and he added Italian sausage. He enjoyed it. He also ordered the gluten free brioche. He liked it (3/5) but was a little dense. We really enjoyed the medjool date appetizer. Very small portion size (4 for $14). I ordered the gluten free bolognese on our second visit. I do not recommend. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce out the can. It was not good. Service was okay. We had the same waitress both times and it often seemed like she was confused and we had to keep clarifying our orders. Our friend ordered the regular focaccia and didn't care for it. He said it was like eating toast. read more

We had an early dinner here, at around 5:30. All the other restaurants were packed, so we decided to go to Una. We were seated as soon as we got there, without any reservations. still a lot of tables available indoors. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, the Gnocchi Bianca, Rigatoni ala Bolognese. My daughter loved how the pizza turned out, crunchy and tasty. The Gnocchi was ok, not really a fan, but loved the cream sauce and mushrooms! read more

Cute trendy place. Gourmet pizza seems to be their item, we also ate their burnt Brussel sprouts and gnocchi. Both shared items and tasty- the table Agreed the Brussel sprouts were the crispy tasty yummy kind of best ever eaten. Mushroom pizza was rated as second most delicious item. Third was the white Sangria! I should have purchased a pitcher, seriously sooo refreshing, I wanted MORE. The supreme meat pizza while savory and salty- was soggy in the middle from the roasted red peppers - juicy- that's fine. I used a fork. I think at this point I ate so much already that I was just being picky now since I am full. Service delightfully knowledgeable, fast, friendly, beautiful and handsome staff! Everyone quick to smile and seem allll in good moods! Are all Canadians happy? I'm a foreigner from the USA and I just loved eating in Banff!!! Ingredients seemed so fresh! People seemed internally radiating sunshine even in the dead cold of winter February, and the service fast! One thing I did learn--- you can NOT sit at the bar unless you get seated there by a host! It is considered a table seat. In America it's like a waiting area for a table, we stand around and drink while we start a tab and wait for a table- but in Canada you must go outside and wait like a civilized person -- the bar is seating. I was embarrassing myself thinking I was allowed to get drinks and stand around in the warm of all these tall Canadians and wait... go outside and wait like a good tourist! When in Canada do as the Canucks do! read more

We had Friday lunch here, got a table after 20 mins of wait. The place is in Downtown and is full of tourists. Tried the house Rose wine, it was good. Arancini was tasty, soft, and cheesy. Perfect appetizer. I liked the sautéed prawns as well, the sauce was light. The mushroom pizza was okay, lot of arugula on it, made it little bitter for my taste. The gnocchi was soft and the sauce was fresh and tasted good with the cheese! Service was prompt and food came in quickly. Food is expensive though, premium Italian quality! read more

Felt a bit discriminated against when we approached for a table here. We're an Indian family, walked in with another family we were in town with and requested two tables of 4. They had plenty of space but said that since we walked up with a large group, regardless of sitting separately, we would be charged 20% gratuity, EVEN if we sat separately that we would have to share a bill. It seemed super strange that they weren't allowing us to sit as individual families despite there being plenty of 4 seating tables available. We were there as four adults and four kids, obviously two separate families. The blonde woman today in a printed white and black top said that if we weren't willing to do that, that we would not be served at the restaurant. Makes no sense why they would say this unless our appearance factored into their decision making because we had literally just walked up to request a table like every other person sitting there and our request was for two tables for 4. If I could give 0 stars, that would be more suitable. Horrible staff!! On a side note, I had a coffee in my hand from a cafe down the street and she said I also need to throw that out before walking in. I totally understand that they don't want outside drinks but it was just one thing after another and we were already just ready to walk away. Sadly, my kids had to hear her rudeness and that was just my limit so I had to post a review and share my experience. Anyhow, we left and went to Bear Street Tavern where the food and service were excellent. Oh, and Bear Street Tavern didn't ask me to dump my coffee either. read more

Enjoyable meal here. I think I liked the sides more than the pizza but the pizza was good too. The pizza is thin crust (not Neapolitan style though) and all of the components from the sauce to the sprinkle of sea salt were so tasty. We ordered the Margherita deluxe style and the cold slices of fior di latte cheese and drizzle of pesto really made this for us. Yum! We also had the watermelon salad which was just the right blend of sweet and savory and salty and fresh. No reservations in summer but we also didn't have to wait for a table. read more

Pizza was awesome. We liked bacon/maple pizza and the rigatoni. Went twice in the same week.

Great pizza and salad, both with a twist that made it unique. We ordered the veggie pizza and added arugula on top. Got it with a twist of honey on top that made it WONDERFUL. The Greek salad, with watermelon and mint was OUTSTANDING. Service was great and outside seating was a nice addition. Though indoor music was very nice, If you're lucky there will be live music from the bar above read more

Food was pretty good! We ordered the spring salad with the spicy prosciutto pizza. The spring salad was great with slivers of Granny Smith apple and had an appropriate amount of dressing on it. The spicy prosciutto pizza was delicious and was my favorite part of the meal, however the toppings slid right off the pizza as you picked each slice up so you had to hold it funny and kind of put the toppings back on with each bite. The crust was nice and crispy and there was a perfect ratio of toppings to dough. The flavors were incredible though and would absolutely go back to try more! read more

Very busy, waitress was very busy still managed to give decent service. Pizza was good only drawback was that they were out of Pepperoni.

2.5 stars but I'll round up. Honestly, very expensive for what it is, and while not bad, it wasn't good either. The pizza was lacking in cheese. The tables were jammed in tight, there was a long wait despite there being no one waiting when we got there, and the service was just ok. The drinks (non-alcoholic) were pretty expensive. Overall, I'd skip this and go else where. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch while visiting Banff and it was soooooo delicious! Highly recommend!

The wine was decent yet the service kind of irked me since that's all we stopped in for. I hate to give a bad review but the bar isn't even open for just a glass of wine? We had to get a table - which I'm glad was available otherwise we could've gone next door. Walked past this place multiple days even on the weekend and still no bar service.
