    Tortellini pomodoro
    Christina N.

This is just another chain restaurant, similar to Olive Garden with the design aesthetics of the Cheesecake Factory. Our server was attentive and was very helpful! I like the idea of an "all-inclusive" menu and it was nice to get a soup/salad and a dessert as part of every meal. For appetizers, we got the sweet potato fries and calamari. The calamari was fine, but the sweet potato fries were great! They were thinner than other sweet potato fries I've gotten and well-seasoned. They also gave us bread at the beginning of the meal. It was a loaf of bread that you cut yourself and came with a nice whipped garlic butter. I got the minestrone, which tasted like canned soup but it was loaded with veggies and pasta. My entree was the tortellini pomodoro with chicken, which tasted fine. It was a bit underseasoned, but the vegetables in it were much needed. Lastly, they offered ice cream at the end of the meal and I really liked it! It was a mixture of chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio, an unexpected flavor option for a restaurant like this, but a solid way to end the meal.

Best thing about this place is the sweet potato fries, their service and the prices. Service was quick and our server was very friendly and chatty. The food however missed the mark. Tortellini was thick and stuffy while the Spaghetti with spicy meat sauce lacked in flavor and spice. They serve complimentary ice cream with every meal which is a mix of three flavors: chocolate, vanilla and pistachio. Pistachio tasted very artificial, the other two were just ok.

Long wait. We added ourselves to the wait-list and they said that they'll text us after 45min-1 hour, and they never did. We went back after 1.25 hours and found out that they were preferring people waiting at the restaurant over us. Chicken Parm and sphagetti wasn't very flavorful. Could use more seasoning. Bread was not sourdough like OSF locations in the US. Service could be improved since our waiter forgot certain details to our orders.

We came in for lunch, the wait was soooo long even though 85% of the tables were empty. It seems like they are low on staff. The waiter who served us was very rushed and kept making sarcastic jokes. Food wise, the spaghetti I ordered was just okay. I feel like it wasn't flavorful enough. The bread they served in the beginning had tasty whipped butter. I dream about that butter sometimes overall, I think this place is pricier than expected.

Solid food venue with no surprise factor for its all inclusive menu. Service is attentive. The host is a little crude since I showed up 15 minutes early than reservation time. Room, decor, lighting is OSF old time with roomy booths and tables. Fresh Bread and garlic whipped butter are top notch. Water is readily filled. We ordered Baby Back Ribs fall off the bone tasty as well as mushroom Alfredo spaghetti. None are disappointed. Minestrone and green salad are nothing to toot about but as expected. Spumoni and coffe at the end are always good to clean the palate. We left all filled and happy as a clam.

Service and hospitality were excellent. I was dining alone and was offered a choice of a table or booth -- I took the booth. Prices reasonable for a three course dinner. I got spaghetti and meatballs and did not like the meatballs so I was not charged for them. The minestrone soup, spaghetti, and spumoni were delicious.

I am not a huge pasta lover, but I could not recommend this place enough. We were a group of 6 that ordered different kinds of pasta--- and everything was a treat to your tastebuds. I ordered their seafood pasta and it was delicious with a generous portion of seafood-- not all pasta! Haha! And the service, Logan, our server went above and beyond to accommodate us. Very friendly, attentive, and makes an effort to make small talk.

Very economical. Food comes with soup or salad, entree and ice cream. The taste is very mediocre.m and nothing special. Not worth visiting.

The flavor was not bad but they really skimped on the amount of toppings. For what these cost, you deserve better. I also tried their Caesar Salad. While my back was turned to the room, I believe there was only one person for much of our visit trying to do it all. Interactions were businesslike, and there was a delay in paying.

She also gave us the best table in the place, looking out to the garden! Loved her! You can build your own charcuterie board by picking the amount of cheese and charcuterie you want. Located inside of a hotel, the decor is old school and a bit run-down. The service was prompt but spotty at times. The servers seemed more interested in cleaning up for the next day. We started with the nachos, El toro salad and the calamari. The nachos were salty. The dipping sauce were very generic, like store bought, 2/5. El toro salad was pretty good but not a lot of beetroot, 4/5. The calamari was rubbery and too salty, 2/5. Main we got the veg fajitas. They come in a sizzling skillet. The vegetables used were clearly frozen, it had beans, zucchini, carrots, baby corn, and peas. It was spicy but also very salty. For 27 bucks quite underwhelming. Overall, not a place I wouod go back to.

They just can't make a pina colada because they don't have a blender. I highly recommend the ribeye. You get a lot of meat for what you pay and it was delicious. There's not a strict dress code enforced. You can dress up or be casual. I wouldn't recommend dressing too casual but I did see people arrive in very casual outfits such jeans, knit sweaters and a santa hat.

This was our last restaurant that we had the pleasure of visiting in Canmore, and we definitely ended up saving the best for last. I chose this restaurant as the spot to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday because I wanted it to be special and it definitely delivered! First off, the service at this spot is impeccable. They truly hire professional, genuine, skilled, and crafty people here who really care about food and the experience. It was very telling and we wanted to highlight that observation. Secondly, the cocktails. During our trip, we were lucky to have Josh as our bartender and not only did he truly know the ins and outs of the liquor and the ingredients that he used, you can tell that he has really perfected the craft at creating a beautifully presented cocktail, and this was already noticed by the way he cuts an orange. The cocktails here were basically like an art piece and had some of the most creative presentations I've ever seen. My cantaloupe island cocktail even had an herb popsicle in it and the after noon cocktail had mint sorbet incorporated into the presentation too, which was none like I've had before. Food-wise, they start you with a complimentary palette cleanser, which was a mini donut topped with fennel and caviar, which was exquisite and enhanced the experience. We then chose the foie gras, root salad, and mackerel as our smaller dishes and the duck and cod as our main course dishes. I swear to you.. each dish that we tried, we looked at each other in awe because we were baffled that something could taste that wonderful and look so aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Our favorite was the cod main course, which happened to be the newest menu item at the time. We also got the baked alaska for dessert since we wanted to complete the entire course, and that was beautifully presented and flavorful as well. The main chef/owner, Danny Beaulieu, and his team absolutely killed everything on this menu, and we were even able to meet with the owner and to speak with him during our visit here. It was a truly lovely experience and we are big time rooting for the restaurant's success. We are really thankful that we were able to experience Ankor and appreciate the love, care, and effort put into this spot. We will definitely see you again and hope to be back soon! :)

The wait staff was pleasant knowledgeable and accommodating. We were in a large party so we had a semi private dining area. Their specialty cocktails were great and very appealing to the eye in regard to the presentation upon delivery to the table. Very well put together flavour notes hit. The noise level in the restaurant was perfect for socializing so no complaints there. We did have a large party which probably pushed the kitchen staff a bit because some of the plating of a few dishes came out and were not complete ( 2out3 dishes came missing some plating components) when we made a comment to the waiter he went to investigate. They realized the issue and made a course correction on our bills which was appreciated. I hade the pork chops and I'll say the plating presentation was good but the quality of the the chops not so much, now I've worked in the industry in the past so I usually give a wide birth when it comes to the doneness of my proteins. But these were over cooked or seemed to have been cooked from a frozen state because they were dry as an Alberta summer. Not to mention tough and for that reason is why I'm only giving a 3 out of 5. Pork chops should be cooked through but full of juice these definitely missed the mark. The other components of the dish were great cooked proper with a perfect balance of seasoning. I'd come stop in again if I was in town but I'd probably wouldn't get the chops again.
