La Terrezza Rosellini

Food, service and ambiance were all great! We ordered the chicken parm and La Terrazza roselini and both were great authentic flavors.

My husband and I went to La Terrazza for drinks and to unwind after a day of travelling. The lounge was nice and cozy, and I loved the fireplace which was just perfect since it was very cold outside. Service was good, although a bit slow. It was a 4/5 experience overall.

This spot is one of the best I've tried on vacation at Banff. The back area is gorgeous, and not noisy. Service was amazing, the staff are so professional and friendly. The free bread and chocolates were so tasty. The rosellini al funghi was the best dish, so incredibly flavorful without being heavy handed. The other dishes were also great, I have no complaints. I love this spot, would recommend to any of my friends traveling to Banff.

Delicious dessert cocktail

Friendly and professional staff, staff are very knowledgeable, and their drinks are incredible. Warm and cosy environment in the lounge, and a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

Eggplant parm

Best eggplant parm I've ever eaten in my life! They were slow in providing us our complimentary bread but overall great experience and service

I love absolutely everything about this restaurant, even though the meatballs in my spaghetti and meatballs were a little dry and I make my own better but then again I'm quite picky about meatballs and my favourite restaurant in New York City is called the meatball shop and they are famous and they've taught me well so I won't hold it against them... But more importantly the ambiance and the amazing staff service and the beautiful fireplace and the furniture and the real plants and the lighting in the music... All of these things added up to one of the most romantic meals I've ever had in my life so for me it was perfect perfect perfect. My boyfriend and I were staying two floors up in one of my favourite hotels ever the Banff Park Lodge and the weather and so I was terrible so it was so lovely to be able to eat inside on the last day that restaurants in Alberta we're open before the Covid shut down... It was our first time vacation away so it was absolutely delicious and beyond romantic. And then the icing on the cake was the fabulous bartender take a photo of the two of us in front of the fireplace and this is literally the first photo we've ever had a reach other together. Thank uuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!

The Terrace dining room on a quiet wednesday night
Blair P.

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here at The Terrace on a quiet wednesday night. The cocktail list is large and has plenty of options. The wine list is average but does a good job of covering everything. We both found something we liked. We started off with the escargot, which had a different spin on it then I've ever seen before but was still very tasty. We also had the scallops which were cooked absolutely perfectly. The dish did contain a lot of ginger though. If you're not a ginger fan you may want to steal clear. For mains we had the salmon and the lamb shoulder. The salmon was also cooked perfectly, a common theme throughout our meal, and had a nice grainy mustard sauce. The lamb was very tender and had great flavor. It also came with butternut squash mashed potatoes which were absolutely amazing! At the end of our meal the chef came out to chat with us. I love when that happens! Overall we had a great experience and I would definitely go back to The Terrace.

The food was great. The escargot ravioli was a little tough. But tasty. Our main course was very good.

The space used to be the original lobby from 1888 but now occupies the bar. We've had the pleasure of visiting fantastic bars in a lot of places but Rundle Bar is special. The service level is as good as it can be. The staff makes you feel like you're in their home. They're incredibly attentive but not annoying. We had great conversation with many of the them and they genuinely care about you having a memorable experience. The views on the patio (alfresco terrace) are as epic as it gets with views of the breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. It's been named the best patio in Canada for years and you will see why when you walk out of the beautiful Rundle Bar onto the patio. The menu is made up of classics and signature creations. I had the Ember which is an old fashioned variation made up of high quality spirits and an infused maple syrup it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. It didn't hurt that it came with a smoke show. It was so good that I have to create a separate post with photos and videos vs. detailing it here. Trust me, it's gorgeous!!! Banff has been on my list forever and I finally visited. The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel was equally a place I needed to experience and it didn't disappoint. The Rundle Bar was a bonus I wasn't expecting so make sure you make time to visit this magical place when you finally check Banff off of your list. I'm definitely going back with my beautiful wife because we have to experience it together. You need to go. Salute @thejohnnycocktail

And ordered french omellette (my friend is vegetarian and she said it's absolutely tasty and yummy and she is happy to see quite good options for no-meat dish). We went to 4 other places during our 3days in banff, this is the ONLY place she praised (not simply bc of veg options, but the fact that its delish). That means something! They also generously gave us lemon cheesecake as bday cake (it was my bday and kinda nice to have small sweet celebration considering i was away from home). However, the people next to us ordered various cuts of steak and those looked unbelievable!

From where the hotel is located you can not take a quick walk downtown so we came here. It was definitely a good choice. We were immediately greet by the smiling-friendly hostess who sat us quickly. The ambiance around this area was wonderful. The HUGE fireplace was very special but not lit yet. The overall appearance was soothing with comfortable tables and chairs. Our server came up and brought us some menus and took a drink order. Just a lovely young lady. It did not take long for our food to be delivered... Sone fish tacos, chicken sandwiches and salads. Food was excellent and we all enjoyed. Everything was fresh and tasty. The pricing was also favorable. I had the fish tacos which were excellent. These were as good-fresh-tasty as anyone I had every had. Everyone else was very satisfied with their choices. (There are a few pictures attached to this review.) After a long day on the train coming here, sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere and food was a grand treat. This part in the hotel was wonderful alongwith all other areas of the Rimrock. Seriously, whoever trained the employees in being personable needs a friggin Michelin Star just for service training! That being said... the food was also excellent. I hate ordering a chicken sandwich for dinner, especially a $29 chicken sandwich, but damn did it taste worth every bit of that Canadian tourist location exchange rate with the seasonings and preparation. The everything focaccia bun? Perfection- and raise it with being buttered and toasted on the grill, not just tossed on cold. I'm sure they had to fly that avocado in from Mexico too because it was pretty fresh- unfortunately the iceberg lettuce didn't make the trip as easily, but it still had crunch. We would have loved a seat in the lounge, but alas the table to low seat ratio felt a bit challenging for having a true elbows on the table kind of sandwich meal, so we opted for bar table seating instead. It was a bit awkward to have bar music playing while the live musician was also playing in the lounge- which would be the biggest atmosphere change I'd make to elevate the experience- otherwise the atmosphere provides a nice variety of options no matter what you like. What really made me love this was that I drove here and needed to park in the garage; and parking was validated by the restaurant before leaving. Unfortunately the parking lot ticket reader had problems accepting the validated parking ticket- but the call button led to the switchboard and solved the problem. Service was on top of it, even when machines failed.

In the midst of everything. - Exterior: Very nice with 2 attractive patios outside. - Ambiance: Casual. The patios are great in good weather. A section just inside from the patios is bright and light. The large interior is quiet and soothing...if a bit dark. - Menu: Moderate size with several selections in all the main categories...including choices for vegetarians. - Food: Excellent. Three of the 5 in our group chose a bowl of tomato confit soup ($15).....made without cream.....along with a grilled cheese sandwich ($10). They were among the best of each we've ever had. I could have gone back for dinner. Another family member had a plate with Ahi Tuna and vegetables ($28) while the 5th person ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($27). Both said "very good". - Service: Superior. We told our server, Brock, that we had only had 40 minutes. He got the orders in ASAP...the kitchen pushed them out the door and we ate...but not in a hurry...and enjoyed a fine meal. Brock was friendly and helpful. - Price and Value: Reasonable. Had to spit out a couple bites and didn't end up eating parts because it was all fat. I ordered the Chickpea panisse and avocado sandwich, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever eaten. It tasted hideous. I ordered the tomato soup in place of the French fries and it was very meh. They didn't give a spoon with the soup and we waited awhile but the server didn't come, so grabbed the spoon ourselves. The service was friendly but very slow. We also ordered the kids margarita pizza. It tasted okay but was small and felt very overpriced. Overall, I don't recommend this place. We went in because there was no line (I'm not surprised). But if you do end up there, order the Bison burger and steer clear of everything else.

It's a bunch of different vegetables with a Tahini Miso Dressing and kimchi on top. All the different textures and flavors worked really well together and the salad served as a nice break between bites of pizza. The Wheeler Hut pizza has mushrooms, ricotta, truffle oil, pesto, and mozzarella. If you're a fan of truffle flavor you'll enjoy this pizza. As soon as it was brought out I could already smell the truffle. The Mediterranean has olives, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, red onions, chili flakes, spinach, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. A little busier than the Wheeler Hut, but it was equally delicious. I'm not sure which pizza I liked more. Both pizzas had a fantastic crust with some char. Substantial enough to stand up to the toppings but still a little doughy for a nice chew. The char gives a nice crunch as well.
