    Wheeler hut

I enjoyed this place a lot! I only have positive things to say. We arrived and there didn't have space to seat us, so we opted to wait for take out and we only had to wait 20 minutes. We ordered the wheeler hut pizza and the tavern bowl salad. Both were incredible! I'd highly recommend doing this combination on your next date night. We were both full and happy by the end.

Good quality pizza. Really liked the dough consistency. Was not my preferred flavor combo though, pizza is on the sweet side which I felt didn't mesh well with the grated cheese. Standard salt and pepper wings, perhaps a bit overcooked/dry. Standard caesar salad as well, pretty big serving size. We shared all 3 dishes as lunch among 3 girls and did not finish our pizza.

Liked this place so much ... went back again while in Banff for several days The pizza is great and also got the wings with Apple butter BBQ sauce. Came in a hot skillet and were fantastic. The folks here are great !

Nice ambiance and has a dog friendly patio out front plus and extra garden patio behind the restaurant. Good summer spot for a few drinks and some pizza. We had the bison pizza when we were here last. crust is made in house from sourdough and they have a few interesting choices for toppings. Service was friendly and quick.

Really enjoyed our visit! We tried the Canadian and godfather pizzas, both were delicious. The salad was surprisingly huge and really good too. Service was quick, and we loved the fun atmosphere, especially the wall covered with dog photos. Great chill spot.

After our hike, we were craving classic bar food and a cold draft beer. Totally on us for not checking the menu first, we assumed 'tavern' meant more variety, but it was mostly pizza. No biggie. We each got a personal pan pizza (you'll definitely want your own, they're on the smaller side). Prices were a bit steep--over $25 each once you factor in drinks, and the beers were more than $12 each, so the bill added up fast. The pizza itself was just okay, but adding the honey really took it up a notch--that was the game changer. The staff was incredibly sweet and attentive, which made the experience much better overall.

Highly recommend checking out this spot if you're in Banff. They have a large indoor restaurant as well as a large outdoor patio (dog friendly). The food was excellent! We were pretty hungry so we got 2 pizzas - both were excellent! The bison was my favorite (plus you have to love a unique pizza topping). The service was amazing- everyone was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back

This was so good and great service. The food was delicious esp the kids Mac and cheese!!! The pizzas we had were great and fresh. Quick service and definitely don't miss out on the brownie dessert!!

Great spot to relax and enjoy pizza! The Big Bird hit the spot! Loved the freshness and flavor of the pesto, chicken and bacon. Split it between two people. And I learned a new trick! Chili oil and honey as a dipping sauce for pizza! You've got to try it the way they do it. The staff was so nice and they were on top of their game with how busy it was. Great job! Restrooms were just outside the restaurant and were on the 1st or 2nd floor. Indoor and outdoor seating. I liked it inside because it was nice and cozy.

The only thing that would have been better, would have been draft beers that we wanted, instead of a can...but we loved the atmosphere outside. We enjoyed some drinks, an appetizer and a delicious pizza. We had the best afternoon on the patio and had great service!

food came out so fast and servers were very attentive, i have no bad things to say abt this place and the vibes r impeccable

The famous spicy oil and honey combo. They were delicious on everything!

This pizza place was recommended by our tour guide, Vincent. He said they make good wood fire pizzas and that their house made chili sauce was good on everything. It sounded good so we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant was located at the heart of the downtown Banff and was in front of a small parking lot. There was a public fire pit nearby and the fire looked cozy. We opted to sit outside, since it wasn't too cold yet and we wanted to enjoy the downtown scenery. Our server took our order and delivered our food quickly, which was much appreciated. We ordered a summer salad, chicken wings and two pizzas to share between 3 people. It was more than enough food. The wings were good, but we enjoyed the summer salad and the margarita pizza more. The summer salad was packed with fresh vegetables, peaches and candied pecans. The pizza had a wood fire crispy crust but yet the pizza was still tender and soft. Out of the two pizzas we ordered, we preferred the Margarita to the maple syrup infused Canadian pizza. We enjoyed dipping slices into the honey & infused secret chili oil. Vincent was right, it really was good with everything. Overall, we think Bear Street Tavern has the best pizza in Banff town and would recommend it.

A little pricey for what it is, but the pizzas were pretty good. No wait getting a table mid afternoon.

The chicken poutine was not something I thought I would order, but it was on special and why not? The Chicken Poutine is incredible and full of flavors that are out of this world. We shared the chicken poutine and I loved Kevin's Beef Dip and we shared a side of the traditional poutine - so good. Melty cheese curds, delicious and hot fries and the gravy...take me back right now! The fish and chips were yummy and light and the perfect lunch portion. We loved our visit to Rose & Crown and it's definitely some of the very best food we had in Banff!

It seems like quite the après ski spot, but I don't think any of the people there actually went skiing that day. It was basically a huge frat party on the rooftop with canned beer for purchase and a DJ. If you're looking for a nice, classy spot to watch the sunset - this is not it. We were crammed in the corner next to their barricaded section of the rooftop and didn't stick around longer than it took us to finish the drinks we bought downstairs.

It's worth noting that this is a double smash burger. The poutine side with the burger was well put together, the fries were crispy and well salted. The fried brussel sprouts on the other hand were a little bit of a confusing dish. This dish is surprisingly quite light on brussel sprouts and seems almost more like it's meant to be a salad. In addition, while the sprouts are fried and crispy, the same cannot be said for the bacon. Overall, I'd like to see more Brussels, crispy bacon to better crumble around the sprouts and less arugula. The burnt ends were a pretty good dish but were little tougher than I would normally expect from a pice of meat like that and had a texture more similar to rib caps instead of brisket. They also didn't seem to have been smoked on a smoker and just had a smokey glaze instead. I really liked the vibe of this place, it's a very relaxed environment to come and unwind at after a long day out in the parks. There's a semi-private outdoor patio with plenty of seating and good spacing between the tables. I also really thought that the service here was great, the staff were all amazing and super friendly. Everything I ordered was brought out quickly and my glasses were always refilled without me even having to ask.

The Alpine Cheese Fondue was pretty good but to me not worth the price...they had small fondue pots to share and the cheese went quickly while we had a pile of vegetables and other dipping ingredients left. We also had one of our fondue pots go out after the server noticed it was 'too hot' and apparently turned it off. When we asked a different server minutes later for help getting it on again, they said nothing while fiddling with it and left the table. It would have been good to acknowledge it was 'good to go' or have them show us how to operate them in case it goes out again...but no, just fiddled and left. I ordered the Steelhead Trout for dinner and it comes with zucchini, capers and a dill sauce. It was quite good and would order again in the future. For dessert we had the chocolate fondue fountains which came with strawberries, marshmallows, cookies, banana bread and more. The chocolate fountain was great but after the cheese fondue and main course, I couldn't stomach too many bites. The worst part of the night was the service. The two main servers politely asked us to 'not move around' after seating so we don't mess up their system. Even though noboby moved, most of the checks were incorrect- we got each other's bills, we got charged for items we didn't order, etc. After we called attention to it...the hostess or manager came out and grumpily grabbed the incorrect bills, crumpled them up and left. About 10min later, she came back out with the updated bills...where a few were still incorrect. She started barking out that they were still missing a drink and another order and was asking around who had it. At this point when our table has paid $1000+ for the meal and you've messed up 2xs and made us wait 15min, you should probably just eat the $30 of food and drink missing as a courtesy. Nope, this cranky manager was practically blaming us for them not having a good system and accountability. Unfortunately, based on the service and the price vs. value of the food, I cannot recommend this place.
