The well-traveled chef demonstrated the Asian western fusion cuisine to the max! I loved the prawn ceviche, fried chicken, labneh, mushroom skewer and Canadian red wine at happy hour are so worth it!!

Such a diverse menu here! We tried: * Labneh: very good flavors with eggplant and herbs * Masala ribs: large portion size; the masala spices were very mild, so it was more like normal ribs (1 star off) * Thai chicken: overall flavor was good, but I did not get any of the cilantro, lime, and coconut listed on the menu * Chocolate budino cake: a solid chocolate cake to end a meal I was a little worried about the kind of restaurant called Crazyweed, but was pleasantly surprised by a good dinner here. And it was not because the food was laced with crazy weed...at least as far as I know.

Great overall experience. Easy to make a reservation which I would recommend doing. Cute ambiance. We sat inside but the patio looked lovely. Service was optimal. Waited around 10 minutes for a server to come, but the hostess brought us water while waited. Drink orders were dirty martini, fen old fashioned, and earl gray cocktail. All were fabulous. Food order was the wedge salad, orecchiette, dear baba, and chipotle crusted bavette. Would recommend all of them! Good portion sizes. My boyfriend and I split the wedge and bavette and it was lefty for the both of us. My only complaint is there are inconsistencies/incorrect info in the menu with items and where they are originally from... not a big deal. Just something I enjoy knowing and looking at. Still a great experience.

Great spot with eclectic menu. Everything we got tasted like more. The shrimp ceviche had great Thai flavors and was wonderful with the good morning Vietnam cocktail. Our waiter was great and we celebrated a friends birthday perfectly here at crazy weed. Our table got two orders of the cabbage and basically asked for the recipe. Hallumi flavors were bold and complementary. Would go back!

This was our face time and it was our friend's favourite place so that's why we went there! Right from the outside, the place looks beautiful and cozy! When we entered the place, it was the same vibe. They had beautiful artworks around and the place was beautifully designed and decorated. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional! The food was great! We all enjoyed the amazing appetizers and then the main course was really delicious! The drinks were also great and we loved our experience there! I'm sure I'll go back there again and I highly recommend this place! :)

Excellent bartender and staff. However, we came here based on reviews, and this place is way overrated and way overpriced for what you get We had an appetizer beet dish that you could have done better picking up at Walmart And to top the disappointing food experience, they confused their regular $45 restaurant salmon with someone else's so my simple salmon took so long that I had to take it home (look at photo of takeout box) because we had to pick up our dog. Skip this place.

Crazyweed was by far my favorite place we ate at during our time in Banff & Canmore. The food is incredible. Such interesting dishes full of flavor. Our waitress was SO nice and offered up some suggestions for us as it was our first day in Canmore coming from Banff. Definitely eat here if you want quality dishes with a simple, casual atmosphere!

Came here for a family dinner on our last day of the trip in Banff. We sat outside on their patio area, where there is a beautiful view of the Canadian Rockies. Service is great as everyone is very interactive and curious what brings us to the area. We ordered a handful of items to be split amongst the table. For small plates, the Yellowfin "Five Alive" Ceviche ($24) was probably my favorite. Tastes just as good as your typical Tuna Ceviche with a tasty puree. This comes with corn chips which are house made. The Pickle Brined Fried Chicken ($24) is like getting popcorn chicken or karaage. The garlic aioli dipping sauce that comes with it enhances the taste. The Forest Floor Mushroom Skewers ($16) I think is a pretty simple dish. We just needed a veggie dish and this was it. The for big plates, we got the The Grilled Lamb Sirloin ($49), which was heavily recommended by the host that seated us. The presentation is pretty wild as the steak sits on top of potatoes with is on top of a mbassaman curry, which goes really well with the steak if I may add. And then they give you two onion rings, which they stack on top of all of this. The steak is a very thick cut, so it may look puny, but it is dense. Would recommend. We also ordered their Slammin' Salmon Side Dough ($25) (what they called their pizza). It's not everyday you see salmon as a pizza topping and get an entire pie for the table. I enjoyed this particular one where the use of the creme fraiche really goes well with the salmon and the pizza dough.

This was our best experience in Canmore. We were on our way out of town or we would have repeated our experience. Service was great and the decor is awesome!! If we're back in Canmore it will be a repeat for us.

Cool vibe with a fun fusion menu. We enjoyed everything we tried - top favs were the pickle fried chicken and Alberta beef. Honestly I did not care for the broccoli with blue cheese but they put the sauce on the bottom so I could pick around it. The drinks were awesome and service exceptional. Everyone from the host to the waiter were welcoming, even though we were one of the later tables (late flight in).

This place was an absolute gem! I love the food, the drinks, and the service was great. My favorite drink was their Old Fashioned. It had a hint of Maple which made it sweet and smooth. Our starter was the Labneh which I absolutely enjoyed. It was sweet with the honey and was just a perfect plate. Though all of the 4 entrees we ordered were delicious, I think the Thai Chicken comes on top for flavor. My bavette came out cold, but my server didn't hesitate to give me an another plate that was cooked better. The ice box lemon cake was interesting. It was basically hard ice cream. It was good but I'm not a fan. This was our food stop after a long day of touring lakes in Banff and a hike in Grassi lakes. I want to fly back just to come and eat here again and try their other food items.

One of the best meals we've ever had! 10/10 We also got the Dilletante side dough as an appetizer (bec it was happy hour) and it was all so delicious. We were only here on vacation but letting everyone we know to stop here if you are ever in Canmore.

The food here was so good that my family and I returned our next night because we couldn't try everything we wanted on the menu. Reservations are a must if you want to eat at a reasonable time. The flavor are so amazing in all the vegetarian things we tried, but my absolute favorite was the blue cheese broccoli. The blue cheese is not overbearing, there's a little bit of spicy, and the broccoli is cooked perfectly. The labneh is also amazing and a must try. Also leave room for dessert, chocolate budino is a must! Baked Alaska was also good. Sadly no donuts available when we went. Kids menu is available as well. The only thing we didn't love was the curry, we opted to make it vegetarian and probably shouldn't have because it was very bland. On the menu it's served with prawns so the dish as intended is probably very good.

This was our last restaurant that we had the pleasure of visiting in Canmore, and we definitely ended up saving the best for last. I chose this restaurant as the spot to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday because I wanted it to be special and it definitely delivered! First off, the service at this spot is impeccable. They truly hire professional, genuine, skilled, and crafty people here who really care about food and the experience. It was very telling and we wanted to highlight that observation. Secondly, the cocktails. During our trip, we were lucky to have Josh as our bartender and not only did he truly know the ins and outs of the liquor and the ingredients that he used, you can tell that he has really perfected the craft at creating a beautifully presented cocktail, and this was already noticed by the way he cuts an orange. The cocktails here were basically like an art piece and had some of the most creative presentations I've ever seen. My cantaloupe island cocktail even had an herb popsicle in it and the after noon cocktail had mint sorbet incorporated into the presentation too, which was none like I've had before. Food-wise, they start you with a complimentary palette cleanser, which was a mini donut topped with fennel and caviar, which was exquisite and enhanced the experience. We then chose the foie gras, root salad, and mackerel as our smaller dishes and the duck and cod as our main course dishes. I swear to you.. each dish that we tried, we looked at each other in awe because we were baffled that something could taste that wonderful and look so aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Our favorite was the cod main course, which happened to be the newest menu item at the time. We also got the baked alaska for dessert since we wanted to complete the entire course, and that was beautifully presented and flavorful as well. The main chef/owner, Danny Beaulieu, and his team absolutely killed everything on this menu, and we were even able to meet with the owner and to speak with him during our visit here. It was a truly lovely experience and we are big time rooting for the restaurant's success. We are really thankful that we were able to experience Ankor and appreciate the love, care, and effort put into this spot. We will definitely see you again and hope to be back soon! :)

Their specialty cocktails were great and very appealing to the eye in regard to the presentation upon delivery to the table. Very well put together flavour notes hit. The noise level in the restaurant was perfect for socializing so no complaints there. We did have a large party which probably pushed the kitchen staff a bit because some of the plating of a few dishes came out and were not complete ( 2out3 dishes came missing some plating components) when we made a comment to the waiter he went to investigate. They realized the issue and made a course correction on our bills which was appreciated. I hade the pork chops and I'll say the plating presentation was good but the quality of the the chops not so much, now I've worked in the industry in the past so I usually give a wide birth when it comes to the doneness of my proteins. But these were over cooked or seemed to have been cooked from a frozen state because they were dry as an Alberta summer. Not to mention tough and for that reason is why I'm only giving a 3 out of 5. Pork chops should be cooked through but full of juice these definitely missed the mark. The other components of the dish were great cooked proper with a perfect balance of seasoning. I'd come stop in again if I was in town but I'd probably wouldn't get the chops again.
