Great burger. Nice environment! Came into town about 1:30 on a Saturday and the town was packed! Tried another burger place with 45 min wait. Yikes! Fella recommended High Rollers for a burger. It was a smash burger. Good size but not huge. Cooked well. Added bacon and the fries were great! One friend had a milkshake and another had a local ipa. All very good. Staff was very friendly, place was clean but did smell a little odd when coming in. They have SOOO many beers on tap! High Rollers provided a super fun hour of entertainment for my husband and I on our last night in Banff... We called ahead and were able to reserve a lane, and less than an hour later, we walked in from the cold. We immediately loved the fun, warm, and chill atmosphere. We had 20 minutes to kill before our lane was open, so we bellied up to the bar and ordered a beer each. They have a huge selection. We also helped ourselves to some delicious popcorn! Our lane was ready a few minutes early, so we paid and received our shoes and got started. I won the first round and my husband won the second... we had a lot of fun. Service up front, at the bar, and while we were bowling, was all good. The shoes, balls, alleys, and even the bathrooms are kept clean. I dig this place! One thing worth noting: High Rollers does not accept American Express cards and if you pay in US currency, they don't do a proper exchange rate. Our loss there! It was still worth it though. This place is da bomb! If you are visiting Banff you NEED to come here for some liquid libations, pizza, and bowling fun! Their pizzas are fabulous! With my favorite being the hangover one with egg a top! Be warned that you do need to be stair friendly here as the entire business is located in a basement. I loved the decor, the log cabin vibe, the vinyl dj corner, the picnic tables, the food... pretty well everything. The bathrooms have the cutest bowling pins on the doors for the M & F signage. It was really quiet when we showed up which was nice, we played some bowling and the staff were super kind and friendly. I've been to High Rollers on a few occasions, bowing, snacks and beers. It does all three really well! Usually we go in wintertime for a bit of entertainment and a heat. It's a great spot to warm up on a cold Albertan evening. It's a small old fashioned bowling alley and they have created a fun atmosphere. There is a strong focus on the beer options and the record collection by the DJ booth. Awesome alley with 6 lanes of bowling fun! We tried this place out on our last trip to Banff and I think we will add this to our must-do list for future trips. It has a great funky vibe to it plus some great food and alcohol selections. They also have an arcade area for people that want to do that as well. I tried some craft beers they had on tap plus some wings and pizza. Everything was great and I look forward to trying out more of their menu next time. I had no idea a bowling alley was nestled in the main street of Banff. It's a little bit tricky if you have a stroller or wheelchair because the elevator access is in the "mall" entrance next door. Strangely, when I went, the elevator would not go to the basement level despite pressing the button; one of us had to actually wait in the elevator while the other went to the basement and pressed the button to go up in order to make the elevator car go down to the basement level. There is a dining area & the bowling alley looked pretty fun. However, my kids were having an afternoon meltdown, so thank goodness the dining area was available with kid friendly bites! There's TVs and retro music playing keeping a funky vibe going. Atmosphere is a little dim, but cozy & eclectic, most seating is about barstool height too. Pizzas were affordable & a decent size with some unique flavours, (we had maple syrup to compliment the pizza we chose). Service was generally friendly and punctual, although I do wish we were provided more drinking glasses (we got 2 water glasses for a family of 4, and when I requested more, I got 1 more glass). This is a child friendly place, so I would recommend it if you are looking for an indoor activity or kid friendly food. read more

It's not your Pizza Pizza shit, their pizza was surprisingly legit! We got the Canadian which was so filling (perfect for 2-3 ppl). Honestly our cheapest meal together in Banff and we loved it. They have a gorgeous space but for the songs they play, it doesn't seem to be very family friendly. But it's a great place to grab a beer and chill with friends. Well... this town isn't the most foody of a place. But we didn't realize when my significant other picked this... that it was a bowling Alley. Well... it was bowling alley food. The pizza was very basic and pretty dry..... expensive for basic pizza. The waitress was so nice and helpful tho. If you want Canadian craft beer.... then this might be a great place. Admittedly I didn't come to High Rollers to bowl. Our group briefly ducked in out of the cold Banff night to warm up with a few cold beers (it makes sense, don't judge) while we waited for our table to be ready at a restaurant upstairs. High rollers is located below street level and from what I'm told it used to be a pretty grungy dive bar until it was taken over and flipped. Now it's like 50's and hipster cultures fused together to yield a bright neon modern adult escape. They've got amazing bowling lanes, similar to a Lucky Strike Lanes with an emphasis on lounging, drinking and casual dining WITH some bowling - without the bowling being the primary focus. In addition to the bowling they have a pretty robust bar that's perfectly suited for simply walking in and ordering dinner and/or drinks. They craft beer selection was extensive and I had a Peach flavoured beer that knocked my socks off! Best of all they had serve yourself popcorn running all night which was the perfect thing to tie us over with our beers while we awaited dinner. Great times. Will be back when in Banff read more

First time trying this place and I definitely recommend if you want a nice chill spot to relax after a long day of sight seeing! Everyday that have different specials and Sunday's they have "Sunday Fun day" with a DJ and drink specials. We went on a Monday so it was not as packed with people but the lanes were busy and were not able to bowl. You can call ahead and reserve a lane or they also have pool tables for you to play. Food was good! I got the BCLT wrap and it was okay (chicken was cold but I think that's how it was supposed to be) The wings were good and spicy. Myself and two friends were in Banff for a ski trip. We stumbled on to a new place in Banff... They advertise PIns Pints and Pizza... 48 draft beers with some excellent IPAs and a great nitro stout. We went almost every day for the beers... And the bartenders were great (special kudos to Jeremy). The pizza is wood fired and was excellent (try the New Yorker!). A fun sports bar! We had a big group party for our last day in Banff. They have six bowling lanes and the pins are on strings to help reset them. They have a good selection of bowling balls & shoes. The lanes are shorter than normal but we had a blast. The food was really good. The pizza is well made with good crust and sauce. The wings were good. They even had a nice salad. My friend and I went to High Rollers for the Movember event and overall had a great experience. When you enter they had a place for coat check which we opted to skip out on because of the extra charge. The place was packed with all types of people. There was a place to dance and people were hanging out everywhere. Unfortunately there was no where to sit because all the seating was reserved so my friend wearing heels ended up leaving the bar early because there was no place to rest. The security guy standing by the bowling lanes was the best. He was so friendly to the guests and was always down for a good conversation. The bar staff were alright. They were super busy and didn't engage in any conversation besides the necessary. It would be nice if it took less than 20 mins to get bar service but what can you do. Overall, the place was really sweet and I enjoyed the crowd it brought in. Will definitely be returning when I go back to Banff. read more

We headed here whilst visiting Banff over the festive period. A great time was had by all! Particularly my daughter - despite being two years old she seems to be a better bowler than I.... Food selection is your standard pub affair, burgers, pizzas, wings. Perfect for keeping you fuelled up for a hard game of bowls. The bowling itself is decent, they don't have a huge number of lanes, so make sure you book in advance! Drink selection is decent if you're in the market for alcohol. Don't do what I did and ask for milk in your coffee (designated driver), it came back a bit lumpy and clearly curdled. Coffee was replaced quickly though. BLUF: Food/drinks 2 stars, staff and location 4 stars. Suggested by staff at the hostel, its good greasy pizza. Not fire roasted. Not chicago or NY or even Italian style. Its bowling alley pizza so keep the expectations in check. The bar and lanes were booked out when I popped in but they let me sit in the pool room (pool tables, not swimming pools). No wifi so this review will have to wait.  I ordered a small sicilian pizza ($10.99 on Fridays) and a fishbowl with jamison and peach puree. They call it a green tea,  I assume for the color because it doesnt taste like anything but soda, lime and jamison. Sokay. Not great. I drank 1/3  and wished Id just bought 3 shots of jamison instead of wasting them in soda water. However they do bring you a 64oz jug of tap water no ice (i prefer no ice but others may want to ask for it) which was great after a long day of hiking and needing to rehydrate. Note to bowlers there are only 4 lanes here, 3 bar sized pool tables, and a Metallica pinball game. Good music dj and they do take reservations. Back to food:  watch out, the olives in the salad have pits!! And they do love their pepperocini: on the pizza and especially in the chop salad where i think i had more pepperocini than lettuce. I like pepperocini but i started picking it out it was too much. They also brought my appetizer salad with my main dish (the pizza) which is a pet peeve of mine but not as much as spitting olive pits into my hand at the table (good thing i wasnt on a date). The sicilian turned out to be one slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza and the meatballs were even less existant. In the end, it was an okay cheese pizza. For $10.99 i wouldn't complain but if if paid full price for this, Id be more annoyed. Tomorrow night I'm going back to Bear Street Tavern for GOOD pizza and drinks. read more

We heard about it while hiking the other day from a wonderful young lady named, Kaitlyn. They have four alleys and serve 48 mostly local beers. Awesome! Didn't really get the chance to try much here so I can't speak for everything; but as far as our experience goes it was awesome! Came a little late for bowling so we just had some beers, which was enough in itself! Cool atmosphere. Extra friendly staff, of which are extremely attentive. 48 beers to choose from () and plenty of options for those who prefer a real beer and not a corona. As well, complimentary popcorn!! The only thing I could suggest is perhaps a wider variety of (live) music. Banff is a hip town, and on the night we went there was a (terrible) DJ playing. Not the venues fault, I'm sure there has been better and worse. But to add a live music element for some cool garage or indie bands would suit the high roller atmosphere perfectly, and match the hip that Banff is. read more
