    Pulled pork poutine

My first poutine! So good and so filling. The chicken sandwich and fries also were given two thumbs up. This place was retro cool with the bright colors against the dark interior. The waitress was friendly & efficient. It's in an older but amazing resort. Definitely recommend this place.

We began our meal with the hot honey spring rolls, which were excellent--crispy, flavorful, and a great start to the evening. For the main course, I ordered a half rack of BBQ ribs. Unfortunately, the ribs were dry. However, our server (Ronnie) responded quickly and professionally, immediately offering an alternative. I opted for the schnitzel, which was outstanding--perfectly cooked and generously portioned. While the initial dish was disappointing, the exceptional service and the quality of the replacement more than made up for it. A special thank you to our server for turning the experience into a very positive one.

We walked here as we were unsure where we could park. It is in the hotel lobby. Not a ton of seating but was only 50% full on a Friday night. Waitress was kind and refilled our waters during the meal. Boyfriend and I got the Pork Schnitzel. Quite pricey but it fed us both. 2 pieces of schnitzel so easy to share. Surprised to see a large variety of cooked vegetables and all were really tasty. Sauce was good too. 9/10 not the Best I have ever had but close. Friend got the Chicken Alfredo and loved it. Friend got the Hot Chicken sandwich and said it was good and spicy. She also got the chips with her burger and those were really cool! Unique cut and texture. Boyfriend and I also tried the Choclate Almond Torte - it was meh. Wasn't too sweet but was Not rich, super decadent, chocolatey liked I hoped. Tasted like a normal chocolate cake. Would not get again. Friends shared the Tiramisu and said it was just okay as well. Overall one of the better meals I have had in the area. Will be back to try the breakfast menu!

A great meal a quick service. We stopped by this place after a 13km hike and we really enjoyed it. The pasta was good (though a little spicy) and the pulled pork was amazing. The restaurant itself was very clean and pretty. Our server was great as well and made the overall experience that much better. Definitely check this one out!

Vegetarian burger with gluten free bun

Great service at this restaurant located inside the Grande Rockies Resort. It was burger night when we visited so three of us ordered the burgers -- one vegetarian and two hot chicken. My husband's hot chicken patty was very small -- almost half the size of son's but they both said it was delicious. Son subbed poutine for his chips and enjoyed. The homemade chips were cooked perfectly. The description of the vegetarian burger sounded very flavorful but it was crispy, fried and with not much flavor. I did appreciate that they had gluten free buns. My other two kids ordered pizzas. My daughter loved her Black Forest pizza and dubbed it the "fanciest" pizza she had ever had. Son enjoyed his with pepperoni and chicken. The water cups were very small and our waiter had to refill them frequently. Overall good food for reasonable prices and good service. Would recommend for a dinner out if in Canmore.

Went there two nights in a row because it was so good. The first night we got the Funghi pasta which was delicious, and the salmon Caesar salad, also delicious, and the spicy Thai wings which were of course delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly and incredibly understanding when we had to ask funny questions because of diet restrictions. The second night we had a different server, but he was still excellent and very kind. We had the Caesar salad again, then got the root beer ribs which were super flavorful, and the Asian salad which was great, and the spicy Thai wings again because we loved them so much. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!!

We visited this restaurant as our stay was close here. It was happened to be my husband's birthday and we made amazing memory. Our server Mara was very kind and lovely person. Our parents in law amused her kindness and brightness. Food was amazing, too. Particularly, New york steak and Seafood past were amazing. If you are up to desert, you should try Tiramisu cake, that's just speechless. Overall we are very happy and glad we spent special dinner here.

Terrific service, super happy we made it in for happy hour too! A FABulous maple old fashioned, and everything we ate was so delicious. It's worth noting that this is a double smash burger. The poutine side with the burger was well put together, the fries were crispy and well salted. The fried brussel sprouts on the other hand were a little bit of a confusing dish. This dish is surprisingly quite light on brussel sprouts and seems almost more like it's meant to be a salad. In addition, while the sprouts are fried and crispy, the same cannot be said for the bacon. Overall, I'd like to see more Brussels, crispy bacon to better crumble around the sprouts and less arugula. The burnt ends were a pretty good dish but were little tougher than I would normally expect from a pice of meat like that and had a texture more similar to rib caps instead of brisket. They also didn't seem to have been smoked on a smoker and just had a smokey glaze instead. I really liked the vibe of this place, it's a very relaxed environment to come and unwind at after a long day out in the parks. There's a semi-private outdoor patio with plenty of seating and good spacing between the tables. I also really thought that the service here was great, the staff were all amazing and super friendly. Everything I ordered was brought out quickly and my glasses were always refilled without me even having to ask.

We were afraid we may not get in so late, but when we walked through the front door the place was packed! The restaurant has a modern look with nice spaced tables, unique sections and large glass window walls on 3 sides. We waited about 15mins to be seated. Their menu is perfect sized...about 5-7 selections per section: snacks, small plates, large plates, pizzas and pasta. We started with their bread and butter - the smoked tallow and charred onion butter was amazing. I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta which came on linguini and had chili oil and butter. It was good, but the highlight of the night came in the dessert - banana pie. I was skeptical at first but it was the best pie I've ever had! We had excellent service all night. We had 2 servers taking care of us and both were attentive and excellent. Our bar drinks came within a minute or two of ordering each time. I highly recommend this place to anyone stopping in Canmore!

Also when we went the air quality outside from smoke was horrible, but they had all their doors open and were seating people outside (maybe people wanted this, but it was definitely a miss for the ambiance). Service: Good, no issues here. Food: Very basic flavors circa mid 2010s. Tuna Crudo - drowned in a sauce that tastes like campbells tomato soup. If you have a good quality tuna, you don't need to drown it in anything. Trout - Overcooked, mashed potatoes immersed in salt. No flavor other than salt. Steak - Slightly overcooked, wasn't given enough time to rest, so the juices all came out Wine selection: Good

Our group was located in an annex room right of the main entrance and was the perfect size to fit all of us. We had 2 primary servers who did an excellent job of making sure we had full glasses and full plates. We did family-style sharing of some of their starters and main dishes. The Bread and Butter was really delicious and it looks like their butter flavor is on rotation daily. The duck wings had a peach glaze and nuoc cham and cilantro- great combination. The chicken vegetable dumplings had great skin and texture. The peppercorn salad was adorned with pickled cabbage, capers, maple coconut, crunchy chickpeas and more - it was amazing. We also tried the Thai basil risotto and it was good but I'd go with the peppercorn salad over this if you're sticking vegetarian. The final dish was Alberta AAA Beef Brisket accompanied by gochujang mashed potatoes and broccolini. The brisket was incredible and just melted on the tongue. And the beer/spirits here were impressive as well. BLAKE is a must-try destination while in Canmore!
