Chicken pesto wrap with butternut squash soup
    Jeanette N.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch and were desperate for food before heading to Jasper National Park from Banff. We set our bar very low for this place because we weren't expecting great food in a location with high tourist traffic. But we walked into the hotel and this restaurant was located immediately to the right of the entrance. The interior was so beautiful. A contemporary design with cute bud vases and plants everywhere! The servers were so nice and took care of our drinks right away. We ordered the pesto wrap and Cesar saladbwith chciken. Loved both our dishes and the quality/portion of everything! The chef did an awesome job with the chicken! It was not dry! Would totally recommend making a stop here for lunch.

    Spinach salad w/ chicken

Located in Lake Louise inn, we stopped by before heading to Peyto after Johnston Canyon. Not sure why the reviews are so low because we were satisfied with our food. The spinach salad with chicken was a light yet tasty lunch, and my family enjoyed their chicken burger, fish & chips and Caesar salad. Quite expensive for the portion sizes...but if this is your only option for food, recommend.

a plate of food on a table

Legends Restaurant is located at the Lake Louis Inn. We went there for dinner and it wasn't busy at all. There were five people working the front/ dining area. They have tables on their patio but we decided to sit inside. We ordered two waters, a Pilsner, blackened cod, and elk burger. We asked if the Pilsner is local and our waiter said yes. We asked where and she blurted out, S-S-Saskatchewan! It didn't sound very convincing but at least the Pilsner tasted good. The cod was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing since that's the supposed to be the star of the dish. That said, everything else on the plate was good. The elk burger was only okay. The wait staff just stood around chatting with each other or zoned out at the wait station. My water glass was not filled and it was on the edge of the table waiting to be filled. Towards the very end of our meal, our waitress walked by, looked at our table, saw that we were still eating and walked away and never came back with water. Also, check your bill because the prices we were changed were higher than what was stated in the menu!

The food is high quality and delicious. The food took a while to come out despite the restaurant was not full. But that didn't bother us.

Food was mediocre at best. Had a burger and it tasted like leftover meatloaf. Service was slow.

Honestly, I'd give this place a 6/5 if I could. We hiked there on a Friday and arrived around 1 PM…read morefor lunch. The wait to be seated was about 20 minutes--not bad at all--though the line for to-go orders was even longer. We ordered the herbal tea and the hojicha green tea, and both were absolutely amazing. With over 250 tea options to choose from, there's something for everyone. For food, we got the soup-and-sandwich combo, which came with a hearty vegetable lentil soup and a fresh cucumber cheese sandwich--both delicious. But the real showstopper was the apple crumble... hands down one of the best I've ever had. The chocolate cake was also really good. We did wait another 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order, so if you're in a hurry, this isn't the spot for you. I love that it's locally owned, everything is made fresh in-house, and all the servers are recent grads--such a nice touch. Pro tip: the best way to pay is in Canadian dollars (cash). They'll accept U.S. dollars, but without a conversion rate, you'll end up paying more. Card payments can be risky since the signal up there can be spotty.

Everytime I mentioned to someone we were traveling to Lake Louise they said "oh you have to do the…read moretea house hike!" I made sure to put this in our itinerary as the very first thing we did the morning after waking up at Lake Louise. And lucky for us the hike starts right outside our hotel, the Fairmont. The hike itself is a large trail (which i personally prefer when it comes to hiking) that's pretty much a straight incline up. I can't say i'm all about the straight incline up, but it sure was a good workout. It took us about 1.5 hours to make our way up with a bit of stopping for some gorgeous scenic pics (Lake Mirror was my personal favorite spot). Just when my legs had enough we reached the top where the Lake Agnes Tea House is located. I had to ask the employees how they get to work, which I'm sure they answer a million times a day. They apparently hike up every few days with everything they need for the tea house and then they stay up in little cabins for a few days. Now they must be in amazing shape! There was a line to order at the tea house, but it moved rather quickly. We had some biscuits, which were tasty along with some peach lemonade. Nothing amazing, but think it's more the experience (or vibe as I heard the 15 year old sitting next to us say) that's special. We were told to bring cash because their credit card machine doesn't always work so we did just that, but had no issues paying with a credit card. I was also happy after the long hike to see a restroom up there, which required a little more hiking....and yet another line. Many continue on after the tea house on the beehive trail, which i hear is the hardest part of the hike. My legs were tired and we had to get back for the Lake Morraine shuttle so we hiked down after our biscuits, but the way down was way easier and took us under an hour. Overall, it was a great hike and I"m sure in the future when people tell me they are visiting Lake Louise I will say "oh you have to do the tea house hike!"

We loved the live music and the romantic feel. They have an amazing wine list (more like a novel). Service: Perfect! Our waters were consistently filled, and timing was nice. We liked how we weren't rushed between courses. Food: We had Hamachi as an appetizer. I asked where it was sourced and was surprised that neither the waiter nor chef knew the answer. For main course, I had the rack of lamb, my favorite. My husband had the bison tenderloin. Both were good. Not great. Both dishes were drowned in sauce. The sauce was way too salty to cover the entire plate. The food should always be the star and the sauce as a complement. One quarter of the sauce along the side would improve both meals. Last, we had some version of Tiramisu. It was very dry. The waiter was kind and took it off our bill. Would we return? Yes. We were happy with our meals (for the most part) and felt the cozy dining experience was lovely.

The Post Hotel Dining Room is known for their sumptuous meals, upscale vibes, and massive wine cellar. I came here with my husband and the experience from start to finish was phenomenal. Our experience began at check-in by the large fireplace. After confirming reservations, we were shown to our seats where a staff member insisted on hang our coats for us. The setting is romantic and the dining room ceiling is decorated with lights and tree branches. There was even a single lit long candle on our table for ambience. Their wine menu is comprehensive! Their cellar holds over 22,000 bottles and has been awarded Wine Spectators Grand Award. In addition they have excellent seasonal cocktail menu. We started with a Holy Water cocktail followed by a bottle of Tattinger Brut Réserve champagne. The Holy Water cocktail is a mix of gin, elderflower, vermouth, and garnished with a kafir lime leaf. Very smooth and spirit forward. Food selection is something out of the movie Last Holiday. Reading the descriptions made us want to order everything. We did opt for the 4 course prix fixe menu. We ordered the crudo hamachi rose, pan seared scallops, miso black cod, and the mandarin tart for dessert. Every single dish was beautifully plated and delicious. The crudo was a great appetizer and shaped into little roses. The seared scallops was perfectly cooked and served with a caviar beurre blanc. The miso black cod was delicated and served with a ginger beurre blanc. Finally, the mandarin tart was nice blend of citrus and chocolate. I also ordered a Grand Marnier warmed up to go with dessert. Our meal concluded with a tour of the massive wine cellar. The sommelier walked us through the collection and showed us some rare bottles that available for purchase. Service, was en point! This is definitely a splurge restaurant and worth a visit.

This is a nice-simple menu with something for everyone and not an over the top amount of choices. For this reason ordering was simple and our dinner (see attached photos) was wonderful. (Again, see attached pictures.) As the sun sets, the view keeps changing which is why I spent half my time eating and the other half taking pictures. We had a pretty wide variety of food and I will say that everyone found it fresh and tasty.
