Do not care to come back at all. Walked in for brunch (the restaurant is located in the Banff Park Lodge, took us forever to find it) was seated immediately since it was not busy. The restaurant is buffet style at least on Sunday mornings. They had different stations starting with breakfast food and ending in desserts. They also had a station that served Asian cuisine which I thought was random. They also have a small kids section (just chicken nuggets and fries). I could not really find the drink station, the orange juice was located in the section that served Asian cuisine, which was a little confusing. I do not think the stations and the locations of the stations made sense. The food was super average and some things did not taste great. Overall this place was not great. There are so many other good restaurants in Banff to try out.

I got the beyond meat burger, and to my surprise, it was actually very tasty. I would only take off a star because it was pretty pricey for what it was, but all in all, not a bad a bad place to eat! It also wasn't super busy, which is great when you're eating in banff!

The $20 breakfast buffet was worth the price, with a good selection of items. We also had the excellent Banana Bread Waffles and B.C. Smoked Salmon Bagels. Claudia, our server, was very friendly and helpful with our menu selections. She was very knowledgeable of the menu items, and kept our drinks filled. I recommend this restaurant. Note that the name is now Crave Mountain Grill. $56 for three people is good value.

This is a side salad! Colorful and fresh!

We then shared a Waldorf salad, which was refreshing and nice. Then we both selected red wine varietals grown in Canada. I had a Cabernet/Merlot blend which was super great. Would've never guessed it was from Canada. Next, My wife enjoyed a Pinot Noir that was light and complimented our entrée perfectly. Our entrée was the fillet and prawns served over a garlic mashed potato. This is an absolutely extraordinary dish. We shared it and it was just enough for two people. It is a full meal for one person. The filet temperature preparation was perfect. The prawns were extraordinary, and the garlic mashed potato made you curl your toes! Then we closed the evening with the melted chocolate soufflé, which was divine. Here's the one thing that they missed and to me it's an important miss. They use an automated system for taking reservations. And it kept asking for my name to which I said "Chris" and the automated system kept asking me what's your name!? So it asked hey fourth time and in my frustration I got playful and I said "Big Daddy." And it happily received my name and took my reservation. And then asked if there was any special occasion and I said yes my wife and I are celebrating our anniversary. I get that it may not seem normal to say "Big Daddy party for two". So I'll kind of let that pass because neither front door or upstairs Host was willing to ask. But what I don't like that was missed was our anniversary wasn't acknowledged. I was a server for years, and every host gave the server some type of chit or note to let them know if there is a special occasion. We specifically selected a higher end restaurant for anniversary. So somewhere in there, even if you weren't brave enough to say "Big Daddy for two." Someone still should've checked if you were celebrating any special occasion to which we were. Our anniversary. Our server was fabulous. She was super kind helpful and shared about her experience being in Banff. She made us feel great. My overall experience, the Mapleleaf is a great restaurant. But I'm scoring you an A- because you missed our anniversary. and that's why we chose you. So if you're going to use AI, you can't miss special occasions. Chris & Trisha from Long Beach, CA

We ordered two pasta verdes, one vegetable platter, and one bread and butter. The pasta verde was very bland and under-salted, to the point that we had to ask for salt, pepper, and cheese which our female server kindly gave us. The other dishes were fine, but some of the dips in the vegetable platter were either under or overly salty. We told our waitress about the pasta and she kindly said she would let the team know. Shortly after, a waiter/server came up to us (Asian, male) asking about the pasta. We told him it was flavorless and bland, and since we are an ethnically South Asian looking family, he said something along the lines of "this food is not typically spicy". We felt taken aback, as we love all types of cuisines, including pasta, and don't just prefer food with South Asian spices. We felt disrespected by this waiter, as if our viewpoint on the food was not valid. In fact, another review on Google from just a few days ago also presumably mentioned the same server (Asian, male) who invalidated their opinions on the food. He then went on to ask if we liked the spiciness of the Szechuan butter with the bread (?) and offered us sorbet, but we refused. They ended up taking 10% off of our bill due to our complete dissatisfaction with the pasta dishes. Ultimately, disappointed in the assumptions, disrespectful invalidation of our opinions on the food, and lack of flavor. Would ultimately not recommend eating here.

Perfectly hyped :) We made a reservation for 8:30 PM on a long summer night and there seemed to be a few other empty tables for walk-in's. Apparently, reading reservation notes isn't part of the reservation process at Lupo, because they didn't bother telling us dogs weren't allowed until three hours before our reservation. Having a no-dog policy is your choice. Having absolutely no respect for your customers' time is another. You had days to tell us. Instead, you waited until the last minute and left us scrambling to find another restaurant. Thankfully, Princess Sofia Pizza was happy to seat us outside, and the food and service were outstanding. Funny how one restaurant can communicate like professionals while another can't manage to read a reservation. If you're considering Lupo, don't assume they'll actually review your reservation before the day of your visit. We won't be giving them another chance.

So he drove us into Banff NP. We stopped at Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, Vermillion Lakes, the cascade falls, and then we began driving to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. What an absolutely beautiful hotel in one of Nature's most breathtaking masterpieces. The beautiful earth-toned cream colored hotel climbs from the lower mountain side and stands beautifully amongst the tall pines surrounding it. We made our way to the Vermillion Bar, where are post worked back in his college days, and were greeted by a super sweet server, Ayala, who lit up whenever she laughed and smiled with you. We enjoyed cocktails, beef, tartare, veggie Credit, charred, avocado, and a unique presentation of hot wings I've never had before - the actual wing that has two bones in it was pre-cut down the middle so you were served the 2 halves as their own individual wing. Great flavors and it was very unique and enjoyable. All of it was delicious and undeniably yummy, and fairly priced for such an elegant location. We were expecting a much higher price point and were delightfully surprised to see that even though it is a luxury location, it was not price gouging or ridiculously inflated that one often finds in so many other locations that are "elegant or nice". If you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a very beautiful sunset under the majestic Mount Rundle, and want to enjoy a modern setting in a historic landmark, this is absolutely a visit you must make while in Banff National Park. Thank you Ayala for treating us so well, and sharing your sweet Australian journey with us. Chris, David, Trisha, and Keith
