    Pork belly
    Pearl R.

I really enjoyed this Cajun place. They serve brunch and dinner but I came later for late lunch and ordered their pork belly, Cajun soup and shrimp Poboy. I really enjoyed the poboy a lot. The server for our table recommended getting the shrimp and it was really good. However, I wish the pork belly was a little more flavorful, it was too sweet. Overall, a really good Cajun place in downtown Banff! And the price is really good for the portion they give here.

So I'm a little torn about this place. They have a very large menu, the prices are reasonable compared to what you see in downtown banff (still expect to pay $5-10 more in CAD than you would anywhere not in this park), and service is friendly. However, I would say the food is a little underwhelming. I ordered a side of soup, cornbread, and some popcorn catfish to try. The popcorn catfish was super disappointing - the nuggets were incredibly small and had little flavor. Considering this is supposed to mimic Cajun-style food, I would imagine this hit far from the mark if you're going for authenticity. The soup and cornbread were yummy - not amazing - but given that they were appetizers, I would have preferred my main dish to be the standout. The mocktail I had was pretty good though it's hard to mess up anything that sweet. It was also incredibly busy when I came so there's no shortage of business. It might be the tourist effect of being located in Canada's most famous national park but I might skip this place next time I'm in the area. Nice views of downtown banff from the corner table though!

Chicken and Eggs Benedict with Cajun Potatoes

The place itself looks so interesting and unique! The servers are attentive, and know the menu like the back of their hand. Food is mid. Maybe it's just what my bf and I got, but it wasn't anything major to talk about. I got fried chicken breast eggs Benedict, but I wish the chicken itself had the Cajun flavor in its breading. However, the jalapeños on it definitely gave it a nice kick. Potatoes were aight. Get the hot chocolate for sure, especially if it's cold outside.

Cute vibe and great service. We were seated right away on a Tuesday morning. We ordered the Pork Belly Benedict and the Green Eggs & Ham omelet. Both were delicious! Great portion sizes and decent prices. They had a good selection of hot sauces as well.

Very good place for breakfast. We had a tour guide recommend this place and so glad he did. Food was delicious and Tyler our server was so friendly. We enjoyed the veggie omelette loaded with fresh crunch vegetables. Two egg with bacon breakfast. Toast was super good. Be careful with the hot sauce ;)

    Cajun crab and Shrimp boil

The shrimp and crab were pretty good but the rest of that plate was meh. Rice had the feeling like it wasn't fresh and we didn't even get bibs, so keeping your clothes clean could be a challenge when you're fighting with a mighty crab. Server was okay, but when it comes to the place, the tables felt quite small. When four people are at the table, plates, tools for grab legs, drink... There were barely any space to move

This is the first place we ate in Banff! We were able to sit outside early in the morning and enjoy our breakfast beside the peaceful mountains of Banff. The server was fantastic and prompt! He didn't skip a beat when we asked for food recommendations and hiking recommendations too. The food was fantastic and kept us extremely full throughout our 12 mile bike ride! We will definitely be going back this week!

First impressions: cute and kitschy... with New Orleans type decor... the plastic red and white checkered table "cloth" felt a little unnecessary. Made it seem a bit cheap. The noms: *Taste of N'awlins: my brother's order. It was a lot smaller than he anticipated so he finished it like an appetizer... but it was good. We all shared a bite of each other's dishes. *Shrimp po'boy: my sister's order. It was good, but the ratio of bread to shrimp wasn't ideal, so she left off the top bun and ate it like an open sandwich. The Cajun fries were decent. Didn't have much Cajun seasoning on it, and the fries were a bit sad and limp. The fries were also dark, which sometimes happens when the oil hasn't been changed in a while... or they could be burnt.. I don't know for sure. *Ribs: my order. The ribs were good (sticky and tender, just like I like it... though not fall off the bone... still satisfied a craving). The dirty rice was also good. The slaw was terrible. It didn't look or taste anything like slaw. It was bone dry (see picture) and look like something that was dumped out of a pre-mixed bag of slaw from the grocery store, but lacking any kind of dressing. *Hush puppies: good, but a bit dry *Fried green tomatoes: nothing like what I usually order... the fried coating was so dry it crumbled off the tomato and into the dipping sauce. *Andouille Mac and cheese: super disappointing. A bit watery (see picture) and not cheesy at all. In conclusion: despite the promising reviews, I was super disappointed. Can't recommend it.

To our surprise we found Cajun food in the Canadian Rockies. Nice ambience. Able to sit outdoors and enjoy the fresh crisp air and people watch. The menu is extensive. Service is helpful. We enjoyed the gumbo and jambalaya we ordered accompanied by cornbread. Good amount of serving.

Tooloulous, BANFF 204 Caribou St, Located in Town Centre Mall Situated right in downtown Banff We were there late September, had brunch there. They were busy even in late September, can't imagine peak period! They took our walk-in reservation & gave us a buzzer, about a 30 minute wait. Cajun seafood & burgers join Louisiana libations on red-checkered tablecloths amid brick walls. Decor was colourful & quaint. Service was good. Great menu selection The food was good! Portions were a very good sized. I had the crab & asparagus- chunks of crab meat... so good! We had Belgian waffles, hot chocolate... everything was good. If you are in Banff looking for brunch. This is the place!

Gluten free French toast with mochacino
    Lisa M.

Hubby went here for some gluten free French toast. He ordered a classic gluten free French toast and topped it with apple. He also ordered a mochacino (chocolate milk + coffee + whip cream). The menu is well marked for gluten free and staff are well informed on allergies. I didn't eat here because it seemed there was a lot of dairy and not as many options for gluten and dairy free together.

One roll had perfectly grilled pieces on top with avocado that added a nice smoky flavor, while the other had a great crunchy texture that balanced everything out really well. I also ordered what I believe was a matcha drink, and it paired perfectly with the meal. It was smooth, refreshing, and a nice contrast to the richness of the sushi. Everything tasted high quality and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the whole place had a great vibe. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in Banff and craving good sushi and a solid matcha drink. Service was great. But a little slow

Karaoke rooms available for large groups with high minimum spends. However, when it comes to the food, I've got issues. The happy hour menu boasts several discounted (half price) sushi rolls, which sound great. However, in execution, they are flooded with mayonnaise (not included in the menu's ingredients). This adds so much extra salt and oil to the sushi that it drowns out the true flavor of the fish. For the first time in my life, I couldn't finish my sushi, and I had no desire to eat any leftovers. Also, reservations are not required, but they definitely help (and require a credit card reservation). If you show up for happy hour, get there early, becasue the space fills up fast!
