Mushroom & Maple Smoked Ham Omelette
    Art C.

This was an easy breakfast for us, we were staying at the hotel next door. I had their Mushroom & Maple Smoked Ham Omelette, which came with potatoes and bread. The small potatoes were very good if not so healthy, the omelette was pretty standard. We are finding great service on our visit to Banff and received that again at Sudden Sally. As we were finishing up we got into a nice conversation and learned a couple of things about the area we found helpful.

Stayed at the sister hotel next door and had the pleasure of dining here for both breakfast and dinner, and I'm glad that I did! All of the dishes were amazing and made with thoughtfulness, and premium ingredients and executed well. I was particularly impressed with the beef stroganoff. The beef was really tender and went so well with the stroganoff sauce. From the breakfast items, their omelette and potatoes was a highlight for me. I couldn't stop eating their crispy breakfast potatoes and the omelette was a good mix between fresh and tasty. Service was awesome and helpful and the restaurant is very well decorated and has an upscale feel to it. Really glad that I dined here!

Had breakfast here twice during my stay in Banff and really enjoyed it both times. The service was quick and friendly, and it never felt overly busy or rushed. The croissant breakfast sandwich and the fried oatmeal were both great. I thought the menu could have had some more variety. Coffee was also good, and everything came out fast. A great spot for a relaxed, or quick breakfast without a long waits. Interior is very cute also

The flatbread crust was good but really nothing to write home about. Hubby had the double smashed burger which was quite ok! I would get that if I was hungry! Service was just ok.

Came here during our family vacation to Banff and enjoyed this wonderful restaurant at Hotel Canoe and Suites. Atmosphere was great and the coffee drinks were splendid as well. Service was very friendly and the experience overall was fantastic. 5 stars and two thumbs up! Thank you!

Came here on the way home from a ski trip leaving banff. Finding parking there is nearly impossible. Not sure if I missed a lot but there's only a small lot on the side. We parked in the back so the walk to the front was a bit long in the cold. The restaurant itself was very nice and spacious. Our server was also nice and funny. He added to the positive experience we had there. We got an omelette and pancakes for sharing and they were both very tasty. I've never had pancakes like this so it was a nice new flavor to experience. We got matcha lattes for some caffeine. I make matcha at home regularly so I had something to compare to. The matcha flavor is not very strong but it tastes good if you're not a matcha critic lol. It's pretty sweet so the maple syrup kind of overpowers the matcha. It was a tasty drink though. I think I would come back here if I visit Banff again. It was a nice experience for all of us.

There are lots of overpriced restaurants in any major tourist town like Banff esp in hotels, but this is not one of them. I had a great tasting double cheeseburger last night, came with a HUGE helping of fries. Pressed patties with crunchy edges, great taste. For breakfast I just ate at the bar with a wonderful matcha latte, almond croissant and butter tart. Wait staff very friendly too.

Pecan tart, crust was really sweet and a bit hard but otherwise delicious and we devoured most of it despite this.

Enjoyed a nice evening dinner on the patio right next door to my hotel. Took in beautiful views while dining on tasty bites in this laid back yet elevated restaurant. Overall food was great, service needed some work. The wait staff took a while to come by after being seated, forgot a drink, we had to ask to have dishes cleared to make room on the table, brought the wrong check then took a while returning. Also noticed employees smoke around the counter and it carried to the patio area. Tuna poke was seared perfectly. Didn't care for the over ripe mashed avocado, dish needed some heat. Ravioli was amazing except a few bites of dry, tough asparagus.

We dined at this restraint which is located inside the Canoe and Suites hotel in Banff. First night we ate the salmon with pilaf which was excellent. The chicken wings tasted OK but they were really tiny. We also dined here for breakfast which I thought was very good. We had good selections of entrees. The potatoes were exceptionally tasty. They also have mimosa which looked delicious.

Sudden Sally is connected to the lobby of Hotel Canoe and Suites, our hotel in Banff. We decided to try it one day for breakfast. The inside is modern, with a chic gas fireplace at the centre of the restaurant. I ordered the Breakfast Croissant with a sausage patty and potatoes. The croissant was buttery and flaky, and I really enjoyed the potatoes which were smashed with crispy bits. The coffee was just ok - it could have been stronger. Our waiter, Sam, was very kind and friendly. He gave us recommendations for hikes around Banff, and even recognized/greeted us the next day as we passed by through the lobby. Would definitely recommend!

Just look at that breakfast picture of French toast, amazing ! Service was excellent even on a prepaid meal plan, restaurant is clean modern, airy and comfortable.

If you are on this far side of town and want breakfast a la carte that is your only and good option- the Moxy only has a buffet Located inside the Canoe hotel with separate entrance, this clean restaurant offer breakfast menu. The seating is comfortable and service was good. The menu offer variety and the chef accommodated my request perfectly. Price are reasonable and we got there before the crowd

She was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and spot-on with her recommendations for both drinks and appetizers. We started the evening with a Maple Old Fashioned, which was perfectly balanced and set the tone for the night. For starters, we ordered the Fior Loaf Buttered Cheese Bread, which was warm, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Our family tried a variety of entrées, and every single one impressed: * Maple Salmon Prawns - flavorful and beautifully prepared * Mafalda Limone Pasta - bright, creamy, and comforting * Roasted Harvest Chicken - cooked perfectly with great seasoning * Bison Burger - juicy, unique, and packed with flavor To finish, we indulged in dessert with the Maple Crème Brûlée and the Hot Chocolate Soufflé--both outstanding and the perfect ending to a great meal. Overall, The Maple Leaf delivered an exceptional dining experience. Amazing food, warm ambiance, and standout service from Megan made this one of the best meals we've had.

One of my favourite dishes is the fondue dinner in multi course version. I love their hearty ooey gooey French onion soup but you can opt for the salad if you're wanting something light and fresh prior to the decadent items that lie ahead. The cheese fondue is as good as every cheese fondue I've ever tasted but you can try a bunch of different game meat for the next course. The game ranges from buffalo, venison, to wild boar. I went with the venison which is so delicious when cooked right and finally ended with the sweet velvety chocolate fondue. The wait staff are friendly, quick and make the experience so much more enjoyable through interactive cooking and good old charm.

We opted for the four course menu. There was Gamay Noir recommended on the wine list, and it was very good and paired well with all of our dishes. I started with the French onion soup which was wonderful, and my husband said the chicken and rice soup was good as well. For our main course, we chose one of the specials that featured local game such as venison. We really enjoyed all the meats that aren't often on menus, and the dipping sauces were unique and delicious. The chocolate course was absolutely incredible. Everything was timed very well giving us time to enjoy each course without feeling rushed or waiting around. Throughout the meal, there was fun vintage music playing. I will say that the restaurant felt smoky at times from all the fondue pots and grills. It didn't bother me too much, but I'd probably choose to sit outside if I visited in the summer.
