There are so many cute coffee shops in Banff and this was a great one. With a lovely outdoor patio, the place was very busy around 8am. They moved through the line quickly. I got my usual hot latte which came topped with latte art. It was creamy and hot and a welcome morning treat.

Stopped by for a light lunch one glorious summer day. A perfect day for sitting out in the outdoor patio seating and watching the throngs of tourists. Ugh, tourists. There were several tasty looking options in the refrigerated display case. I went with the vegan quinoa roll and my wife had the sausage fennel roll. She's spicy and a bit savage so her choice was apropos. I loved mine. The wife was less impressed but I'm used to that. Our lattes were quite good. There were several servers working behind the counter, all friendly in that the-job-requires-me-to-be-friendly kind of way. There was no rush getting our rolls to us. We were able to finish our lattes before the entrees arrived so that worked out well. Overall a good place to hang out for a bit before heading back to the states.

Great coffee and good pastries to go. Got the egg and bacon pastries for the little one and it was so good she wolfed it down. Hubby said the coffee was also pretty good.

Great service! Attentive peeps behind the counter! Mochas were delicious, egg bite was delightful, and those sausage rolls were yummy af. We ate outside, which was nice since they had some electric warmers on top and plenty of seating. Definitely hit the spot! Get here early before 9:30 AM to beat the crowds.

Heard that this spot had some of the best coffee in Banff so my wife and I were excited to try it as coffee lovers. We were a bit disappointed. Our coffee took a pretty long time to come out. It was a busy day but my wife noticed the barista was distracted talking to other customers while making our coffee. The cappuccino was really mediocre. It tasted a bit burnt and you could barely taste the coffee. The mocha was alright too, it was lacking in mocha flavor and tasted a bit watered down. Two stars because the pastries were solid but that's about it. The cafe is located in a hotel, it was very busy and a bit difficult to find seating. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but it was a big disappointment for us.

Stopped in for a couple lattes (iced and hot chai tea) and got some banned to go with. Excellent latte, place was busy nonstop but not crowded, testimony of what I'd assume is probably one of the better cafes in Banff!

We made daily pit stops at Whitebark before heading out to the parks because of how close it was to our hotel. The coffee was delish but what kept us coming back was the pork and fennel sausage rolls. They were SO YUMMY!

Heard great things about this cafe, so we stopped by on our last full day in Banff. The iced vanilla latte was not the best, as it was way too milky. My mom tried the espresso macchiato, and it was incredibly bitter and strong. The pork & fennel sausage roll was my favorite. The pastry was flaky and buttery, and the roll was served with either a mango chutney or tomato sauce. The mango chutney was the bomb. It was sweet, and it paired nicely with the roll. The yogurt parfait was yummy as well. Fresh and tart. The employees were friendly and efficient. There was a line, but it went by quickly. Ample seating indoors and outdoors.

What a great place to grab and go out sit and enjoy your food and drink before heading out. My favorite things were the breakfast bites. The frittata and quinoa salad were delicious too. We saved this for lunch at Lake Louise The sausage rolls were good with lots of fennel, but a bit too oily and flakey for me.

Stopped by for a quick coffee before noon, and the store is still packed with people. I ordered a large Americano, and I think it's kind of light. The coffee is smooth, low acidic, and well-balanced, but it would be better if it comes with an extra espresso shot. Not sure how many shots are in the large size, but it is kind of watery/light for me. FYI, I'm not a fan of bold coffee either. My mom had their latte, and she absolutely loved it. She said it's one of the best latte she had so far. She ordered the small (regular sized), and she thinks the coffee is strong and rich. The milk is sweet, clean, and milky. The store is simple and clean. There's always lots is tables and seats in store. A great place for breakfast or a quick meal. The staffs are very nice. The line and wait time can be very long, so be prepared. Also, parking is not free around the area.

White bark was such a magical addition to my time in Banff! I really felt the autumnal vibes and the staff were beyond encouraging to really feel comfortable! This is NOT a study cafe fyi I came here two days in a row, got to try some drinks and some food items and here is my review: Food: 8/10 very delicious breads and scones! They warm it up for ya which is nice. Drinks: 8/10 folks were really cool about explaining the menu and helping me choose a drink on both days. I think the vibes and the service really put the cherry on top for me because it's always nice to really feel like you're on vacation when everyone around you is super nice.

Such a great cafe that we went two mornings in a row during our visit to Banff! Drink and food selections were all amazing. Their banana loaf and vegetarian options were my favorite. Loved this place and the ambiance is perfect for a nice start to your day.

Why 5 stars? Because we came here every morning in Banff. --- --- --- That's basically the highest endorsement I can give a place. When I'm on vacation, my primary goal is to try as many places as possible, but we loved Whitebark so much our first morning that we came back the second morning and the third morning too. Well, to be honest, my wife was driving that bus more than me. I enjoyed Whitebark very much too, but she is more particular about her coffee and absolutely loved her latte so much that she insisted we return every day. It also didn't hurt that we were staying next door at the Moose hotel. I just drink my coffee black, so it's usually not hard to mess up unless a place uses weird beans. We actually loved these beans so much that we bought a bag of them. But for me, the biggest factor was the food. They had this sausage and fennel roll that looked unbelievable and tasted even better. It's hard to imagine every coming here and not ordering this buttery kolache type of delight. And my wife ordered a different sweet pastry every day for us to snack on -- all of them were home runs. I write this review back home after our vacation is over and am sad that my days of waking up and heading to Whitebark are now a thing of the past.

Noticed there was banh mi on the menu so in we went. The inside was cheery and comfortable. Our two banh mi sandwiches, tofu and pork, were very tasty but the veggies weren't pickled, and, to me, it's not a banh mi without pickled veggies. But I was impressed with the delicious random Vietnamese sandwiches we had. The fresh salad veggie rolls were leviathan in size and savoriness. The accompanying peanut sauce was perfect. The server was super friendly. As was the order taker, though she was more business like friendly, like she wasn't prepared to suffer fools easily. I'd go back anytime for those sandwiches. Midway through our meal, I noticed he didn't bring us any water or offer us any water. If he was going to serve us cafeteria style, then the tip option should not be: 15%, 18%, 20%, 25% since it's basically self serve. The noms: *Beef satay pho: broth was good. Very flavorful and that was before any hoisin or sriracha sauce and lime. The portions were hearty and you'll leave full and satisfied *Beef + chicken + shrimp vermicelli: really good. Vermicelli was made perfectly, not overcooked or mushy. The chicken was kind of weird, I think it should have been grilled but it was like boiled or something? I couldn't tell. The beef was good. The shrimp bread big and plump... but I hated that they didn't devein them. That's just lazy and gross. *spring rolls: the most disappointing. All noodle and barely any shrimp. Wasn't worth it. Skip this order. Otherwise it was typical... not special. *The peanut sauce that they put on the table was amazing... and the chili crisp oil.. both deserve honorable mentioning
