Searching for a nice cup of iced latte while walking in downtown Canmore on a hot and sunny day. We came to Beamer's after reading other reviews. The shop offer plenty of specialty drinks (which based on the names, sounds pretty sweet) pastries and sandwiches. I went with a large classic iced caffe latte. To be honest, the latte was pretty mid. The milk was very overpowering (probably not the correct ratio between the espresso shots and milk). The espresso lacked flavor and richness and tasted like something you could make at home with a can of store bought espresso ground. The price point is actually a little higher than other boutique coffee shops/roasters in the area with superior coffee beans. While we had high expectations based on other reviews, this is sadly not my cup of coffee. read more

Load up, grab a coffee or juice and you are on your way. We enjoyed a Ham and Cheese croissant, a bacon egg breakfast bun and a lemon cranberry muffin. All were quite tasty and I still have most of the muffin leftover to warm up tomorrow for breakfast. Very excited about that. read more

Located just next to Downtown Canmore, we visited Beamer's due to the reviews on Yelp. We went to Eclipse the other day and the iced latte here is a bit lacking in flavor and quality and isn't cheap either. It's a very chain coffee taste. Interior seating and exterior seating is available but there's lot of dirty crumbs and trash lying around so we just got the drink to go. read more

BEAMER'S COFFEE BAR is one of the few places open during Canmore's tourist shoulder season. It's right smack in the middle of town where everything is within walking distance. The proprietor is so nice and friendly and welcoming. FETA SPINACH WRAP was warm and filling. The LATTE is OK. There was no line to get in and only one other party in the line in front of us to order. They open early which is great if you want to get an early start on your hike. We were staying in Canmore while visiting Banff NP and we came in here every morning for our coffee fix. They views from the outdoor seating is so good. A perfect testimony to the mountain town. They have such good menu options, from pastry to sandwiches, from wraps to overnight oats, we probably tried all these categories. Highly recommend their chocolate over night oats and spinach bacon sandwich. We also got the Canadian Mocha and this was such a winner. read more

Beautiful chain of cafes in the Canmore and Banff area. We got their regular mocha and the sweeter Canadian mocha that comes with Maple syrup. I liked the regular mocha a lot, it was almost artisanal. Service was quick even during busy hours. read more

Passing thru Canmore on my way to BC from Calgary. The mountain views of this town is breath taking. And you can enjoy a nice view while having coffee at Braemer's. I ordered a muffin and it was huge. I wish I can remember the name but you can see in the picture it tastes good as it looks. Consider sharing if you don't have a big appetite. Place is clean. Lots of comfortable seating where you can read or just relax and a great view of the mountains. The pics I posted doesn't do it justice. I think this place is frequented by snowboarders and skiers. Staff is friendly. I guess it helps this is a tourist town. They also have great merchandise for sale. Great souvenir from Canmore for yourself or to bring back to so someone. A must if you ever go to Canmore! Located at the very heart of Canmore downtown. It's your neighbourhood café where you feel you know everybody in town. Their menu is the standard that you'll find in any café. They offer pastries, sandwiches, wraps, etc. Prices are not high for the Canmore standard. The staff is always polite and friendly. My favorite coffee place in all of Alberta. I seem to make it here every day when I'm in the area. I'm generally a decaf drinker, but have had both here. I always have sugar-free hazelnut & really like how they never over-sweeten my coffee with it as they almost always do everywhere in the states. I also get extra foam on my breve & theirs is perfect with a wonderful toasty almost light marshmallow flavor. This place is comfy & has plenty of seating even though it is fairly small. My favorite spot is in one of the cushy chairs by the fireplace. I like this location beast also due to its proximity to the downtown shops & restaurants. Plus the folks who work here are always super friendly & helpful & don't look at me cross-eyed when I place my very specific order that has been honed & refined over the years. As "one of the best coffee shops" in Canmore, I was excited to try this place out with my fiancé! We walked inside at 7:30AM on a Monday morning, so basically all of the tables and barstools were open for us! There were so many options, so it was hard to choose! I noticed how Beamer's sells day-old pastries at a reduced price. I love how they do this because I know so much food goes to waste just because it isn't "less than a day old", and other people could use that food as well! I was eyeing a cinnamon roll when a large dark brown square caught my attention. I was told it's a Nanaimo bar, a Canadian treat with chocolate and cookie dough flavors. With this in mind, I ordered a vanilla chai latte and a Nanaimo bar, while my fiance ordered an apple puff pastry. The vanilla chai latte was quite sweet! Its warmth was soothing especially a cold winter's day. The Nanaimo bar was also quite sweet! It turns out it had a mix of chocolate, cookie, and coconut on the bottom. This part was sweet, but not too overpowering that I couldn't taste the sweet cookie flavored filling. The top was made of delicious milk chocolate. All together, this made a wonderfully sweet chocolate-centered treat! It was a bit sweet for my tastes to have for breakfast, but it was still my favorite part of breakfast. The apple puff pastry was dusted with large sugar particles, so it was definitely sweet. I also liked how buttery the pastry was. Beamer's gave a generous helping of apples coated in a cinnamon glaze, so this was also something I enjoyed! I would love to come back to Beamer's and try out the different kinds of treats here! This is the most amazing coffee shop I've ever been to! Yesterday I tried the espresso white chocolate muffin with mocha caramel and white. Today I tried the strawberry chocolate health muffin and cafe marble mocha with whip. I've not been disappointed at all in any of these items. If anything I'm jealous that back home in Oklahoma all we have is Starbucks and a few others. But they don't compare to Beamers at all. The variety of specialty drinks and food make this the go to place for anyone in the area needing a cup of good coffee, good eats, or their fast free wifi. We are road tripping from the States and this place has been our life saver for wifi! Absolutely amazing experience each time we have come. I will miss it for sure when we leave today! We were looking for a place to grab some hot chocolate after an intense day of hiking. Hey, hiking in snow in September definitely falls under intense in my books. Well, my friend K is super picky about some things and hot chocolate is one of them. She'll only drink good quality ones, who knows, she was rambling on about something and I tuned out. Well, after first checking out The Good Earth's (not up to her hot chocolate standards), we hit up Beamer's Coffee Bar and lucky we did because it was right on da money. We came Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty busy. The place is small but quaint. It has a very homey, neighbourhood coffee shop feel to it. I loved how their was one table booth smack dab in the middle of things. The baristas were all friendly and patient, we even witnessed one trying to make pleasant conversation with an old man who was having none of it. At least she tried? Anyways, we dropped in for drinks only but there sandwiches looked and sounded delicious. Next time foo show! - Hot chocolate ($3.30 medium) and day old muffin ($1.00) - the hot chocolate was delicious. Perfect for warming yourself up on a chilly day. The day old muffin was surprisingly good! Hey, you can't really go wrong for $1.00 freaking dollar. The one I grabbed was a sour cherry bran muffin. Quite dense for a muffin but very hearty. Cool spot in town to grab a quick drink or bite to eat. Or as they put it "lite snacks"! Next time, sandwiches are happening. read more

On a side street. Good coffee at good prices. Friendly staff even though their English is not good. They serve sandwiches, which I did not try this time around. We visited Beamer's prior to a road trip to Calgary for the day. When you enter the store, you are greeted with an amazing looking array of pastries and sandwiches. Unfortunately, we had already eaten...so maybe next time. We both ordered coffee..drawback is that you serve yourself and the coffee was not quite as hot as we both like. Overall, the flavor was pretty good, there was plenty of seating, and the service was good. We didn't feel Beamer's had the same ambiance that we experienced in several of the other shops we visited during our vacation in the area....but maybe just a personal preference. read more

The location is on the smaller side but extremely popular. The owners are very nice and friendly. Their breakfast wraps and baked goods are delicious and their range of coffees has something for everyone. Prices are reasonable. They are very supportive of the community. Their staff is well trained and friendly. Lots of parking. I usually go here early in the morning (precovid) to get a table with friends. There are some outdoor tables and bench seating. Best coffee spot we found in Canmore! We'd been on the hunt and were happy to come across this local shop. Small but mighty, definitely looks like the specialty coffee roaster in the area. I tried an almond milk latte and my gf had the iced latte. Also tried the pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal muffin which was amazing! Great texture, good flavor, hearty and still moist even with how massive it was! Awesome promo with the check-in on Yelp- 50% off a drink! Service was fairly quick, not quite as friendly as all the other places we'd been but still very good. Few tables, booths and table tops for seating as well as an amazing mountainous backdrop as you peer out! Definitely would be the spot to hit again when we return to this beautiful area! read more

Beamers is a name I associate with BMW's. So whenever I hear the word Beamers I think BMW's and get momentarily confused (it's not hard). We visit Canmore a lot and each time we park near this coffee shop and grab a coffee since it's always been good and reliable. They have delicious snacks/smaller bites if you wanted to grab something to nibble on and several varieties of coffee to choose from. Plus the other usual suspects (hot chocolate, juice, san pellegrino, water, etc.). It's a smallish place so finding a seat is optional on busy summer or weekend days but don't let that deter you from a good cuppa joe. They also have the Beamers Cups Around The World program showcasing their cups in the most exotic locations. People bring along the yellow cup while traveling, take photos and send them back to Beamers. Beamers in turn picks their favourite each month and displays several in the store. Service has always been decent, staff friendly...all in all a great coffee shop! read more

We stopped by Beamer's on the way home from Lake Louise, and the service/food/drinks were great yet again. I have no hesitation calling this one of the best overall cafes I've visited, which is clearly supported by the plaques on the wall (Beamer's has won Best Coffee Shop awards in the Town of Canmore since 2006, I believe). This time, I went with the salmon bagel, which I would definitely get again. The latte was great, as usual. Despite the great food and drinks, it is the service that makes Beamer's as good as it is. They made a proactive effort to accommodate our son's meal--without us even asking. Service like this shows a very good effort by the owner (Michael) to set his business apart. When we went to leave, there was a police truck that had boxed us in to handle a complaint from a nearby pedestrian (about something different, not Beamer's). In small town fashion, she apologized and moved to make way for us. (Speaking of parking, we have always found a spot right away every time we have visited.) In response to Rob's review: I don't know what the seating was like in 2012, but there is a ton of seating suitable for kids now (armchairs, bench seating, etc.). read more

I was out in Canmore for the day yesterday and hoping to try out another hot local hang out, but it was closed! Weird. Anyway, thanks be to Doug L for exploring coffee shops in Canmore before I ever needed one, I did a search for wifi and came up with Beamers. It's a good thing most things in Canmore aren't more than a couple of blocks from each other. I was able to leave my car parked in a non 2 hr. zone and set up shop for the morning. The cafe is a decent size with a few tables, some comfy chairs and also 7 or so bar-style stools against the window. Wifi is free and there are a good amount of plugins around the room should you need one. It's got a full menu of coffees and a case full of sandwiches and other goodies, your typical coffee shop fare. I ordered an Americano and a bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese. Both a-ok! The service was prompt, the staff were friendly and I enjoyed sititng by the window and every once in awhile being distracted by a roller skier or kids on unicycles going by. read more

Truly a gem in Canmore. Every time I'm through town, I need to stop. Friendly service, excellent food, and amazing coffee. Today I had the breakfast wrap (egg, peppers, guac, with spicy salsa) paired with a smooth medium roast coffee. It was awesome. My wife had an enormous raspberry health muffin that was phenomenal. I found their coffee to be average. The latte was not very flavorful and was served scalding hot. The cranberry muffin my husband bought was incredibly salty. Service was brusque except for one server who was very friendly. I was very disappointed. There is better coffee to be had in the Rockies or just a few blocks away in Canmore. read more
