The coffee quality is really good, but my favorite part is that their flavored lattes aren't overly sweet. The flavors are subtle and really well balanced. I'm especially obsessed with the rose cardamom latte (yes I got this every single time lol) it's not overly floral and has just the right amount of cardamom and sweetness. And the pastries are EPIC. I tried the blueberry cream cheese pastry, chocolate & oat croissant, and coconut pineapple croissant, and honestly I can't pick a favorite. They were all so so good! This location had easy parking and plenty of seating. The downtown location can be a little trickier/paid (I paid around $2.50 for 30 minutes), just FYI. Friendly staff, great coffee, amazing pastries. Definitely my go-to whenever I'm back in Canmore!

No free breakfast, no coffee forcing me to wander the streets and restaurants of Canmore. Eclipse is a nice little coffee shop located on the main drag of Canmore. The street is closed to vehicular traffic. Parking is available on the parallel streets with not too far of a walk. It is confusing as the address is on Main Street, but, Google maps shows it as 8th Street. Their coffee was good. It had enough caffeine to wake me up. The flavor of my coffee was nice. Service was good. My only complaint was that the cup was small and I was almost done with the cup before I got back to the hotel. Good stuff.

It also happens to be across the parking lot from the coworking space I work at. It's convenient, but it's also a tad dangerous if you know what I mean... Calgary Heritage Roasters has it all! The building they're in is beautifully rustic and offers a lovely sit down atmosphere. Their staff are as warm as can be and go above and beyond when it comes to service. RATING: 9/10 - Americano This is my go-to, no fail coffee order. The espresso is strong and smooth and makes the perfect americano. RATING: 9/10 - Dirty Chai I get one of these when I'm feeling a bit naughty... the best treat. A dirty chai is a chai latte with a shot of espresso. The chai flavor mixed with the espresso from CHRC is a match made in heaven. If you're looking for an extreme pick-me-up caffeine buzz, you need to order yourself a dirty chai. Here we are, back in Cochrane, again for hockey and found this gem again!!!! Hubs only complaint (as a diabetic) is their only sugar substitute was sugar twin which is YUCK - truly. It would be better if they had Splenda. I noticed a sign that on Sundays they serve waffles! The Roasterie is kind of like a high end coffee shop owned by hoarders. But wait... I'll just say it: in decades of loving fine espresso shots, I think they serve up the very finest I've ever had. And then I asked for a black house coffee, something with Sumatra like flavors. They recommended a blend that again, probably one of the top 10 cups of black I've consumed. Can they do it more than once? Yep, I returned a second day and they did it again. The roasting is going on inside the shop, and it's clearly run by mad men who have sold their souls to the devil of coffee. If you're looking for a scene and hipster surroundings (and hey, I like that too), move on. If you're looking for a cup of coffee to remember for a long time, this is the destination I'd recommend.

The Huevos Rancheros is delicious, I got it 3 days in a row! They made it with a base of black beans and hash browns on a tortilla and then once the eggs and cheese are on it they broil it to toast the cheese and edges of the tortilla. The eggs were always a perfect over-easy and the chipotle mayo from the "loaded" has browns goes well with the dish. The staff is all super friendly and recognized me as a return customer by my second day there. They have toys they hand out to kids when families come in and the place seems very family friendly. In addition to the inside seating, there's a great patio that has a wonderful view from it. If you're here during the summer, I would definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view and great food!
