My friends and I stopped by this little cafe in the downtown banff area. I was very excited to see that they had matcha latte here but was quite disappointed in the drink. I personally thought the matcha latte didn't really have much matcha taste to it. My friend also ordered a Chai Latte and it was also a bit underwhelming. However, I thought the staff were very nice and that cafe itself seemed really cute.

Was very intrigued with the "Banff's Favorite Coffee" They didn't disappoint, but I wouldn't also say it's the best coffee I've ever tasted. Service was ok! All they did was really take the order. Place can be packed. Plenty of chairs and tables to sit and hang around. My drink: Mocha - very rich in flavor. My friends also enjoyed their flat white and latte!

While spending our 30th wedding anniversary in Canada, we had a day that was just cold, rainy and even a bit snowy. We decided to head into the town of Banff and explore a little bit. We came upon this cute lil coffee shop and boy was I glad. As most of my Yelp friends know I am a matcha latte' lover and I always try them wherever I go. This place was no exception so of course I ordered one and my husband enjoyed a mocha. Since the day was chilly, I ordered a hot one. I was very pleased. This matcha was so delicious. One of the best I have drank. This great coffee bar opened in 1992. It is a good size business with seating in the front and the back. They serve all kinds of espresso drinks, have a terrific tea menu and also serve sandwiches and other bites. They also provide catering services. Service was friendly and helpful. This is a very popular coffee bar and there were lots of travelers like us enjoying their drinks. Be sure to stop in when in Banff for a morning or afternoon pick me up.

My friends and I were walking through the town and before finishing our shopping decided to stop by Evelyn's for an afternoon pick-me-up. Despite all of the busyness outside, inside the shop felt warm and cozy. I ordered my usual, an iced latte with vanilla--it was creamy and delicious. Definitely the drink I needed at that time. Given how busy it was all over town, it took about 15 minutes or so for my drink to be prepared, a little longer than I would have liked but I understood. Staff were super friendly. Would definitely go back.

We (3 adults, 2 kindergarteners) went in just craving something hot to drink. We got a Soy milk decaf latte (for me), a almond milk hot chocolate for someone in our party with a dairy allergy and a matcha latte. All three drinks were delicious! The matcha latte was mildly sweet. The hot chocolate was chocolatey without any sweetness. The soy milk decaf latte was frothy, not sweet, but had the perfect coffee flavor. The place had a great ambience, and parking was right behind the mall in which this shop is located. The parking cost us only $2 for an hour. I highly recommend visiting this coffee store when you visit Banff.

Popped in here on Christmas Day as I didn't hit the slopes and needed a place to grab a bite to eat and chill. There was a long line, but it went by quickly and the barista girls were super nice and friendly. I ordered a hot cocoa and a spinach feta pastry. They had wifi, but I could't get my iPhone to connect so I just journaled while drinking my cocoa. The pastry was soft and yummy. I should have ordered more food as I was still hungry heading back to the hotel. Oops! In addition to coffee, they have food, lattes, and some merchandise for sale, like cute mugs and apparel. This is a great spot to grab a warm beverage on a cold day in downtown Banff!

I got me an Iced Latte and a Salted Caramel Gelato to walk around town with. The food is prepared daily at their sister establishment, Wild Flour Bakery. I love their fig cookies. They are always fresh and delicious. The menu is on a higher price end now, but quality is still good to try sometimes. However service is not good at this location. Girls were rude and not willing to help in friendly manner. Plus our cappuccino was almost cold. The cost is already higher end and if you don't tip 20% or more the girls make faces and don't even respond after that. Not many seats to sit so it's a take away mostly so 20% and above tip doesn't justify specially with that kind of bad service. Will I be there again? Yes just for the fig cookies. Will get coffee somewhere else.

Even though this Tim Horton's location is spacious, it had a line out the door. Summer time is peak season for tourism in Banff and of course everyone wants their coffee drink. During my last trip to Banff, Canada I decided to stop by a Tim Hortons and give it a try and order the iced brown sugar oat milk coffee. Maybe it was the drink I ordered or the location but sadly the coffee was subpar.

The cafe in the main building seemed to have the machine cocoa and I was looking for the good stuff. The real stuff. Milk and bittersweet chocolate warmed together to create an elixer fit for the gods. SO--I made my way over to the Java Lift to investigate their options and was treated to the most lovely hot cocoa, complete with marshmallows and whipped cream, that my little heart could desire. It was delightful. Everything I wanted and more! I was also a little peckish and the crepes they also offered sounded perfect so I went with the black forest ham and gruyere crepe. A little salty to compliment my sweet cocoa. It was served up in a jiffy and the cheese was perfectly melty, the ham was nice and salty, and the crepe shell was prepared perfectly. Nice and thin and holding the whole thing deliciously together. I actually was so jazzed about it I forgot to take a picture, but it was good! They also have a few sweet crepe options and a couple other savory choices as well. If it's coffee you want, they also have that here (hence the "java" part of its name). It's pretty much a Starbucks counter, without the Starbucks name, but they have all the seasonal drinks they offer in Starbucks stores and they use their beans as well. Service is pleasant as pleasant can be. I chatted with the barista for a while and she was just so friendly. It's a little on the small side, seating wise, although there seems to be a decent turnover and I had no trouble getting a window seat to enjoy the incredible views outside. Would definitely while away some time here in the future should I return.

They looked fantastic and seemed quite popular. Once I saw the crepes, I do admit I had a bit of crepe envy. The line up area has a bad flow but people don't seem to get too competitive which is good. In the main lodge I think a similar line flow would lead to coffee shop brawls. Service is also friendly. Ski Patrol seemed to like to come here on breaks so that says something too. This place probably wouldnt do as well in the real world but when you are stuck on a mountain with throngs of other skiers, it is a bit of a gem.
