The service is pretty generic, at times it felt fake kind. They also took my partners drink without really waiting for a response. We ordered the cauliflower starter, it was ok. Kind of bland but eatable, 3/5. I ordered the chinois salad, pretty good and rich in flavor, 4/5. My partner ordered the chicken Ceasar salad, it was bland and the chicken was rubbery, 2/5. This was a cool brewery tucked in the heart of downtown Banff. The atmosphere is welcoming and they offer live music- a plus! The variety of beers were good, the waiter staff were attentive to guests needs and make wonderful suggestions. I can't forget to not that billboard sign that changes pictures-- this was cool I haven't seen anything like this before. Myself and plus 1 ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I'd rate that 3.5/5 and my plus one said 5/5 --- I rated down as it was greasy and the chicken wasn't as crispy for mine, I ordered as is and he had some customization. We were visiting the city of Banff after going to Lake Louise, and stopped into Three Bears Brewery for lunch. We made a reservation prior as we had a large group of 12, but it looked like there was a decent amount of space inside. - PARKING - There's several open streets where you can find street parking, and just need to pay for the time you stay through the parking app. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We were seated promptly since we had a reservation. I know large parties can be a lot to keep all the orders in check, but our server did a good job throughout the meal service. - FOOD - Three Bears Salad ($23.00): We wanted some greens in our meal and opted for the namesake option. I thought it was pretty good, and had a nice combination of flavors. Elk and Kale Pizza ($32.00): We wanted something a little bit more special so we got this Elk sausage pizza. The ingredients on this pizza were all great! The pizza dough was nice and airy as well. We also ordered the chili crisp on the side and it was a nice addition to have. Hard Apple Cider: I wanted something light but fruity, and saw this cider on their beer list. We stopped by Three Bears Brewery for a casual lunch and drinks after visiting the lake, and before doing some shopping in the city. The interior has a cozy, cabin-like or woodsy vibe. I managed to try a couple of dishes since I shared with others in my party. I enjoyed both the Shrimp Bao Buns and Crispy Fried Wings as appetizers. For pizzas, we got the Mean Mr. Mushroom since I'm a huge mushroom lover, but I found the pizza to be a bit lacking in flavor, and it also felt dry. I tried my friend's Elk and Kale pizza and enjoyed that one much more. Lastly, our Three Bears Salad was alright. We had just wanted to squeeze some greens into our meal, and also added chicken to get a bit more protein in. The salad didn't wow me or anything but it did the job. For drinks, our waiter recommended the Alpenglow Spritz for those who like sweet drinks. I ordered it because the dragonfruit interested me, but I don't think I actually found the drink that sweet. It had a slight hint of medicine-like taste. It wasn't bad, but my expectations were higher and I think I would've enjoyed a beer more. I'm so glad that we had reservations here because when we came, it was a full house! I could not pick which beer to try and since I'm not from the area, I wanted to try Canadian beer! I ended up getting the flight and tried all their in-house beer! They were really good because they weren't too sweet, too hoppy, very light and refreshing! We had to try the most popular dish, which was the bison ribs! I actually did not expect to see two full on ribs! They were massive and very meaty. I don't even know if that's a word, but it was so good. Bison meat kind of reminded me of a tender beef jerky lol. No offense, but it was really good though. Conveniently located across the street from our hotel, this restaurant was noticeably always busy. We were lucky enough to get a high table without having to wait. Portions are huge. Unfortunate to report that our meal here was average, at best. The vibe and ambiance had great energy...but the service and actual dishes we ordered left a lot to be desired. Place was hopping the day we were there, so maybe they were just trying to keep up? Not sure. Beer selection and options were decent. I went with a porter as those are one of my favorites. I was malty and rich. For dinner I ordered their version of a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich that came with a side of waffle fries. At first glance, the sandwich was piled high with the friend chicken breast pieces, bacon, lettuce and pickle chips. But when i bit into the sandwich I quickly discovered that the fried filets were way too thin making for an awkward ration of breading to meat and given the thinness also meant very dry and overcooked chicken. My dining companions were also not overwhelmed by the quality of their food, but not as bad as mine. Wish I had better news to report...maybe another try someday to see if this was a one-time event. read more

I was also especially happy that the pizza was able to be made with vegan cheese since I have a dairy allergy. The vegan pizza was tasty with tons of veggies and meat atop of it, but my favorite dish was the bison ribs with pomegranate glaze. This was hands down my favorite dish that we ordered as it was perfectly tender and fall of the bone with just the right amount of sweetness and savoriness in every single bite. Dined here with three colleagues on a recent work trip and we had a great time. The space was open and modern. I loved the bear artwork at the front of the restaurant. Our server was lovely and checked in on us the right amount of times. Enjoyed a hearty French onion soup and a stellar Chinoise style chicken salad - it was so good I could eat this everyday and want to recreate it at home. Walked into Three Bears with no reservations and it almost felt like we were fated to dine here because a perfect round booth was waiting. A Quick Look at the menu and we were immediately attracted to the loaded waffle fries, several combinations of pizza, and the Nashville hot chicken. We also tried some cocktails, ciders, and the beer flight. Everyone enjoyed their choices and it was a good time overall! I personally enjoyed their kale and elk sausage pizza the best! It was unique but also had some bite from the kale and elk sausage. The mushroom pizza was right behind that with mushrooms generously smattering the entire pie. The vibe of the restaurant is a bar but it's not as rowdy and loud. It's very tamed and still classy. The servers, staff and service was also very good. We had had enough hiking. Time to drink beers and eat too many calories. Three Bears was a great resource for our pressing needs. The beer flight was a pleasant journey through the many varied drafts available. To me, IPAs will always taste like the gym rope we had to climb in the third grade, but the other brews were a delight. I could go back for another pint of the copper ale, boysenberry wheat, or brown ale. The flavors were dynamic with distinct things happening early and late with each sip. Strongly recommend. Next we took on the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and big kahuna pizza. The sandwich was a well-constructed, two-patty affair that didn't feel too heavy yet packed enough heat to carry the spicy moniker. The pizza was a valiant effort. I appreciate the special 72 hour ferment they do for the crust to give it a more mature sourdough flavor. However, the pizza thrower was a little heavy-handed with the cheese, and so the pie ended up moist and floppy, no crisp to each bite. If you're going to put all that love into the dough, you gotta get the bake right. For a brewery pizza, I'll let it slide. Overall an epic meal. Worth the stop if you need an emergency brewery experience. read more

This is a top notch brewery in the heart of Banff! I ordered the pomegranate glazed bison ribs and the elks sausage and kale pizza. This was a LOT of food for one person, but it was delicious and my friend ate the leftover pizza so it worked out great! I thought the bison ribs would only come with 2 ribs since it was a starter, but it came with 4 big ribs! The ribs themselves were so tender the meat was literally falling off the bone. And I loved the pomegranate glaze, it really complimented the meat so well. 9/10 The pizza was great as well. Super thin crusted. The cheese went really well with the elk sausage. It was very ooey gooey when it came out. The sourdough crust was delicious as well. There was is a lot of bacon on there. 8/10 I really liked the beer tasting. They give you 6 full tastings so it was great to try so much of their selection. I sat at the bar, and I had a great time watching the retro skiing video they play on loop. It was a fun throwback. I never had to wait, and they asked if I wanted my food all at once or coursed. It is really nice inside. Very wood-cabin forward like most of the places in Banff. A great find if your visiting Banff! We were lucky to walk in on a Saturday night after our other reservation was cancelled due to weather but be responsible and make your reservations! The building is a two stories with a top floor, covered patio/balcony area that was super cool especially if you are trying to soak in every bit of outside time like we were. We tried the bison ribs, huli huli chicken, burger and the delicious ribeye. That steak was the bomb.com. Much needed after days of hiking. Service - friendly, helpful. Initially my steak was overcooked but was promptly fixed without issue. Probably the best spot I found in banff so far! read more

Loved this restaurant, it came highly recommended from some others we went morning hiking with at Moraine Lake. The atmosphere is really modern and woodsy fitting right in with the scope of downtown Banff and its much more upscale than it seems. There are two floors and the top floor has a patio overlooking downtown which is where we sat and I highly recommend so you can enjoy fresh air and people watch. Our service was attentive and friendly and she kept our water and drinks filled. We ordered a beer flight and that was awesome, the only thing was figuring out which beer was what was kind of confusing, especially if you are tired after a long hike... haha! They also serve cocktails and wine. Crispy fried wings were soooo incredibly good! There were juicy, cripsy, and filling with a ton of flavor, I ordered ranch to dip them in! My husband and I fell asleep and woke up late STARVING. This was one of the only spots still serving food at 9:30PM so we walked in and didn't even care what they had. What a treat though! The place is really cool, huge ceilings with amazing decor and a huge bar sitting in the middle of the location. It's a beautiful spot. We sat at the bar and had some of the best service we had all week. Drinks were quick and the cocktails were fantastic. We ended up with a pizza and woah it was great. We're not usually pizza people when we're traveling but I'm glad we got it here - awesome dough and great quality toppings. When I saw Buffalo ribs with pomegranate glaze on Three Bears menu, I immediately knew I wanted to dine there and order them. They're listed as a starter and the dish is supposed to include four ribs, though somehow luckily I received five. The meat was fall off the bone tender and the pomegranate glaze was so flavorful and delicious. On rare occasion, you might be lucky enough to enjoy a dish that you will likely remember forever & this was that dish. I could eat this again and again. I also ordered the Three Bears salad which is supposed to come with fennel, however this was missing & I was really looking forward to having in the salad. Also, the kale wasn't massaged so it was a bit tough. Unfortunately this is what dropped my five-star review to 4. However, the Gouda and the pecans added amazing flavor to the salad. Hubs ordered the steak lettuce wraps. This was also delicious and the steak was so tender and flavorful. Our server Will was amazing. Also service was relatively quick, especially considering how busy they were. So next time you're in Banff, go to Three Bears and definitely order the Buffalo Ribs. read more

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by someone and wait to be seated. The ambiance and flow of this place is very dainty and such a bright space, love all the plants and just an inviting place to have a meal. We had to wait for 20 min during lunch hour but wasn't bad. We were walked upstairs and love their system on their walkie-talkies to let the host upstairs waiting for you and get's you seated. The waitress we had was very nice and upbeat she was sweet, she gave us a few minutes to choose our drinks and food. Their selection of food is Great for sharing. The wings we had were some of the best we've had. The pizza dough was out of this world soft and fresh and they have a different method to their pizza but it was a solid 10/10. I had their 3 bear salad and it was delicious, lots flavor and crunch can be shared as well. Everything we had was delicious and would love to try other things soon. They have a bar area that you can sit at and enjoy a drink and they have TV's to watch local sports and just hang. It's a family place, hang with friends and overall ambiance was very inviting. Had a reservation which helped a lot as we came on a Monday and although it's a big place it was very busy. My wife had the salmon and loved it, I had the beef tenderloin and was was very good.
