    Squash Mac N Cheese

Shoutout to Reid who was such a great server! At the end of the meal I was trying to decide if I wanted a dessert or a beverage to end the meal. My husband told me to get both because it was my birthday. So I did I got the cozy colada and the Gateau aux Marrons dessert. They were brought to the table and told they were both on the house for my birthday! How nice and the food is so delicious!

Kids mac and cheese. Suppose to come with vanilla ice cream too but we never got it.

Staying at the hotel and saw they had a steak and lobster special on Thursdays. Made dinner reservations for 7pm. Place was pretty empty on the left side that we were seated in. Service was fast and food actually came out pretty fast too. He was kind in listening to my feedback and really wanted to make up for my disappointment. For food we ordered semolina fries which my husband thought were regular French fries that had a truffle aioli sauce but it's not. It's a thick piece of potato or cheese deep fried and plated in a small fry basket. So definitely not what we were expecting but it was good. The outside was crunchy from being fried perfectly and the inside was super smooth and creamy. We both ordered the special. I had mine medium rare and his was rare. And a kids mac and cheese which was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream but I think he just forgot about it because of my complaints. I tried the kids mac and cheese and it was too cheesy but not the good cheesy. The cheese was dry and gritty tasting even though it came out with the appetizer. My daughter only took a few bites and didn't eat anymore because she didn't like it. And she was excited for Mac and cheese. Steak was a definite miss. Do not get it. It's a 12 ounce loin strip and it was sooooo chewy and hard to cut. You know the steak isn't going to be good when you need to take a chain saw to it to cut it. I was extremely disappointed with the first bite. But I was hungry so I kept exercising my wrist and hacking away. There were soo many fat tendon pieces that I could not cut through and even if I did get it cut I couldn't chew through it. Lobster was good. I gave my complaints to the server and he was so kind and apologetic about it. He tried to get me a different steak cause he didn't want me to be hungry but I wasn't in the mood. (As I write this before bed I am starving lol). But then the manager came over and asked about our evening and I gave him the same complaints but his face was so rude. Like I was just another complaining customer trying to win a free meal. Which I didn't get. He gave a 25% discount but was not kind about it. Overall service was good aside from the manager's face/demeanor. Food not so great. Would not recommend.

Such a fabulous meal in Canmore during our visit. We had the Tuesday night pasta dinner and it was ridiculous in deliciousness AND the amount of food we had. They literally gave us the entire menu. If you wanted more of anything you could have it. We could barely make a dent in it all and the small plates were not indeed small. We all had different favourites. I love the gnocchi. My son loves the Mac and cheese. My husband loved the ravioli. It does get busy but our server was friendly, efficient and kept us up to speed on what was coming next. This was a spectacular night out!

We are staying a walking distance by near the Malcom hotel where this restaurant is. We ordered the burger and the house salad and both were very tasty. Great ambiance where we sat outside near the pond. Friendly servers. I would recommend this place.

We had a lovely experience! The tuna appetizer was fantastic! Those soba noodles were one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. I had the tenderloin like bowl and the flavors were perfect also. Our server was lovely and the ambience was very relaxing but casual.

Food was great and tasty but service was sub-par. We went back to enjoy a light brunch a few days later and the service was better then. There are definitely better and nicer places to eat in Canmore. Would not return to this establishment

French Onion Soup rich beef borrow and super cheesy. So good!!!

This was not our first visit and certainly won't be our last. The food is fantastic and our server Mike had some awesome recommendations.

We waited an hour and a half in a cold dining room for our mediocre food, and the check took another half hour. We won't be coming back.

We've had the pleasure of visiting fantastic bars in a lot of places but Rundle Bar is special. The service level is as good as it can be. The staff makes you feel like you're in their home. They're incredibly attentive but not annoying. We had great conversation with many of the them and they genuinely care about you having a memorable experience. The views on the patio (alfresco terrace) are as epic as it gets with views of the breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. It's been named the best patio in Canada for years and you will see why when you walk out of the beautiful Rundle Bar onto the patio. The menu is made up of classics and signature creations. I had the Ember which is an old fashioned variation made up of high quality spirits and an infused maple syrup it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. It didn't hurt that it came with a smoke show. It was so good that I have to create a separate post with photos and videos vs. detailing it here. Trust me, it's gorgeous!!! Banff has been on my list forever and I finally visited. The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel was equally a place I needed to experience and it didn't disappoint. The Rundle Bar was a bonus I wasn't expecting so make sure you make time to visit this magical place when you finally check Banff off of your list. I'm definitely going back with my beautiful wife because we have to experience it together. You need to go. Salute @thejohnnycocktail

Had a nice ambience with plenty of seating inside and outside. However we found it was a little chilly inside the restaurant, especially near the windows where we were seated. The staff was friendly, but we found that service was a little slow even though it was not busy at the time of our visit. We appreciated the variety of breakfast items. It was definitely catered to international visitors. However, the food itself tasted just average. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, pancakes, French toast, and the omurice. The eggs Benedict came out cold, the omurice needed some additional ingredients for flavoring, and the pancakes and French toast came out dry. They charged us extra for a little tablespoon of extra maple syrup. The only tasty item was the smashed potatoes. Overall, would not recommend this place. It didn't seem like the price matched the quality of the food or the service.

It's a great spot if you're looking for a mix of international and Western flavors. Reservations can be made directly from their homepage via TouchBistro. There are about 10 spots available in the private parking lot. While it was too cold to enjoy the patio during our visit, outdoor dining is available in warmer weather, and the mountain views from the restaurant are stunning. FOOD: 1. Firecracker Calamari (3/5) - Crispy calamari with sautéed peppers, soy, and sesame. Unfortunately, this appetizer had more side ingredients than actual calamari. It's shareable between 3-4 people, but I wouldn't order it again. 2. Canmore Pasta Bison Ravioli (3/5) - Served with a creamy au jus sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and parmesan. I didn't try this one personally, but those who did said it was just "OK." It comes with one slice of garlic toast. 3. Chicken Nirvana (4/5) - A coconut-based gravy with ginger, green chili, curry leaves, basmati rice, and Kerala parotta. The curry was a bit watery for my taste, and I wished the spices were more pronounced. That said, the parotta was nicely crisp -- always a win. 4. Alberta Beef Short Ribs (3/5) - Served with vegetables and gravy. I had a few bites and liked it, but something felt like it was missing -- I couldn't quite put my finger on what. 5. Atlantic Salmon (5/5) - Paired with a tarragon leek lemon emulsion and vegetables. I rarely order salmon at non-Japanese restaurants, but this was an exception. The salmon was perfectly cooked -- not dry at all -- and the emulsion brought everything together beautifully. The service was OK. The server was pleasant, and our drinks never touched the bottom. However, we had an early dinner time, and they were out of two items on the menu. Would I come back? Maybe. I'll explore other places before coming back.

We started with two small plates and a vegetable: Salmon Crudo, Pickled Marinated Fried Chicken and the Cabbage. Wow. Wow. Wow. We decided to eat each one entirely before moving to the next one. Our menu said it was going to be a curry dish, but when it arrived it was a Mediterranean dish. It was honestly dreamy! But we were confused because I guess we had a copy of the old menu. Nonetheless, I basically licked the plate! Lastly we ordered the chocolate salted caramel budino (pudding) for dessert. It was so luscious and went perfectly with our end of dinner hot drinks of tea and cappuccino. The serviced matched the food: also fantastic.
