This is a nice spot right off the main strip in town. One of the highlights is their complimentary bread bar, which offers white, wheat, marble rye, and their delicious homemade focaccia. You can even toast it and pair it with four different spreads -- a fun touch before the meal. Our food came out quickly, and the outdoor seating area was a real bonus, complete with cozy fireplaces that are perfect if the evening gets chilly. The giant moose out front also makes for a fun photo op. Service was friendly and pleasant, though not particularly memorable. Over the course of staying for 6 nights at the Moose Hotel and Suites, we ended up eating dinner or dessert only here for 5 of the nights. It was very convenient when we were too tired to go to town after a long day. Since Banff is located just under a mile in altitude, we had to get used to the lessened amount of oxygen. Charles was our waiter, and he was always welcoming. Made us feel at home. We were never ignored, even when he was swamped. We loved the lasagne. The noodles were definitely al dense! The meat sauce hit home!! The bread bar was our favorite, with 6 types of bread and 4 different spreads: butter, pesto, tomato and basil, and garlic. The grill could have been a touch hotter, as we looked to make grill marks, and it took quite awhile to see them. The salads were more than adequate. I had the Italian-crusted cod, which was an herb and garlic crusted baked cod and I chose it with a tomato-based linguini. You can have it with a salad instead. The cod was delicious and perfectly made, as was the pasta. I had this dish twice while in Banff. With an entree, they have a bread bar. There are different selections of bread. The spreads for the bread include butter, garlic butter, pesto, tomato and basil, etc. I had the foccacia with garlic butter and used their grill to toast the bread. It was a fun and delicious little experience. This restaurant is located inside Moose Hotel and Suites. I never had to wait too long for a table. Service was amazing. read more

This restaurant was inside the hotel we were staying at so was convenient for us. There is a separate entrance both from the street, and from the lobby into the restaurant. We were able to get a table without a reservation for out party of 9. They have a lot of decent amount of seating and our kids were able to have their own table and the adults at another, right across from each other so we could still monitor. The big draw for the kids (and adults) was the all you can eat bread bar, which had a good variety. I got the meal sized (not appetizer sized) caesar salad and it was great. The fried capers were a great addition I had never seen before. The dried prosciutto was the perfect amount of meat for this meal and it was well presented. Like other review stated this is a chain restaurant and nothing really stood out as good to me. The feature bread bar had brined grills so I stayed away from it. We came during covid restrictions so dine in was not an option. Their website is super easy to navigate and allows you to choose take-out or delivery. I chose takeout and prepaid with my credit card and was sent an estimated time for pick up. I arrived at my estimated time and my order was ready. I ordered the seafood linguine for $30.50, which comes with garlic bread. I don't know why I ordered seafood here, but that was a mistake. It contained shrimp, mussels, clams, and scallops and none of it was fresh. The scallops and shrimp were edible, but the clams were sandy and the mussels had a fishy taste. The linguine was cooked al dente and there was a lot of sauce at the bottom of the box. I'm thinking their other pastas are probably better and I would possibly come back to try it. Located in The Moose Hotel right off of downtown Banff's main drag, Pacini is a semi-casual Italian restaurant with a moderate price point. Upon entering, we noticed the awesome DIY bread bar. Once you're seated, you're welcomed to go create your own bread for the table. There are multiple types of bread, a big griddle and different types of butters, pestos and spreads. It was super fun to have an activity like this while waiting for our food. I've never seen that before! The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and dimly lit, but also appropriate for families. Many of the servers were from various countries, doing a gap year in Banff. The tourism there brings in a lot of working holiday visas, which is awesome. Our server was from Prague and we loved hearing about her city and her Canadian adventures. She was super nice and helpful! We got a pasta and a flatbread and I loved that you could also order a combo of both as your entree. Both were pretty good and hit the spot. Pacini is inside The Moose Hotel & Suites. If you're staying here in the winter, it's a good breakfast option that doesn't require you to brave the cold before your first cup of coffee. The breakfast menu isn't super extensive and the biggest thing I noticed is that it's very carb-centric. They didn't have much in the way of protein-heavy meals, if that's your jam. In fact, they have an unlimited bread bar (honestly, this is just all-you-can-eat-toast, it's not like they have house made bread or anything, it's just sliced bread). The one super cool thing here is OF COURSE the grill where you get to "toast" your own bread. I had the multi-grain and it was delicious. One day, we ordered the breakfast pizza and it was...a LOT. I don't mean that in a great way though, it was just really rich - it seemed like there was a layer of cream cheese or maybe butter underneath the regular layer of cheese. I mean, it was tasty, but definitely calorie and fat dense. If you're ravenous, it's a good option. We stopped by another day for cocktails, the drink menu is decent and our bartender (Ryan) was happy to customize the cocktails for us, which was great. I can't speak to the dinner food, but there are so many amazing restaurants in Banff, it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Pacini was just steps from our hotel during our stay in Banff so we decided to try it. Our experience was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice as well. We ordered 2 super brunches, a solo+ kids meal, and I think my older brother ordered a casserole(totally forgot what his ordered was called) but it had potatoes, bacon, eggs, ham, and smothered with cheese. The food was pretty tasty, but portions were a bit small for the price. We really enjoyed the bread bar, but wished there were more varieties of bread. I think they had sesame, white, whole wheat, and raisin when we were there. Still pretty good though for an unlimited bread bar. It is very family friendly and the servers are very friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and would come back if we stay close to them in Banff again. read more

Pacini the restaurant is better than Pacini room service. The portions in both are generous, to be sure (particularly when you take the price point in mind) but I just found my meals to be just OK. Nothing mind blowing but not terrible either. But they did the trick! If you're staying in the Moose Hotel it's a convenient option, especially for breakfast and the breakfast was the better of the two meals I had here. There are several plates to choose from, including combos with waffles, crepes and more, but I went with a basic eggs, potato, and sausage combo. The potatoes, in particular, were quite tasty. Fingerlings sliced into little disks and perfectly salted and fried. Sausages were also pretty good. Eggs were cooked perfectly as to my order specifications. The plate also came with a lovely bite of their house-made sweet bread loaf and a small yogurt parfait. A nice touch! Each diner also has access to their "all you can eat bread bar" which kind of sounds more baller than it really is. Now, the grill that you can grill your toast on is great but I guess I was expecting a wider array of jams and spreads. They are also little packets. A nice selection of locally made jams would have really taken that bread bar to the next level. For dinner one night I ordered in-room dining. I had had a weird day so I also treated myself to some dessert and a fancy warm beverage. 2 outta 4 ain't bad! I started with a Caesar salad, which I had requested as a side portion and I'm pretty sure they gave me a full size (but side pricing) because it was HUGE. But also pretty great. It was my favorite of the savories that night. I also went with the spaghetti with marinara and meat balls. This was also massively portioned but just OK. It could have definitely used more sauce and the sauce and the meatballs were a little on the blander side. For dessert I got the chocolate lava mug cake which was the best of the lot! I think it was pretty much just melted chocolate bars in the middle but that worked for me, TBH. For a warm beverage I got a magical infusion which is basically hot tea. It was also good but maybe a bit too floral for my taste. But I did close a floral heavy flavor so I think that's more on me than them. Cocktails and bubbly at the bar another night were aces. The bartenders here were all so lovely and friendly. And beyond accommodating. That goes for all the service in general. When I told my breakfast waiter that he could skip the fruit bowl on the side (it was all melon and I hate melon so it would just go to waste) he brought me some fruit compote instead. A nice touch. Thanks, buddy! So, yes. If you're staying in The Moose it's a great option for easy bites and sips, but if you're in Banff there are other places worth your time that I'd recommend first. read more

The feta and olive pizza was so delicious even my 3 year old ate it. Must be something to do with all those cherry tomatoes on top - yum! The price was pretty reasonable too, not OTT like most hotel restaurants or Banff in general. I also had a few drinks at the bar a few nights, it's a cool low style bar so you re on a normal seat instead of high bar stools (which make me feel like I'm in a high chair due to being a short arse). Both were well done , balanced and flavorful. Service was patchy at moments but the waitresses were all very nice. Ambience is slightly fancy Italian. So let me start by saying, I'm from Edmonton and my husband's workplace opted for a Christmas dinner in Banff because it was cheaper to have a dinner AND a night stay at a this hotel & restaurant than it was to host a banquet in the city. No regrets though. It's very upscale rustic, beautifully decorated and has a private dining area in the upper level with a little bit of running room for the kids & large windows to view the Christmas lights outside. They do have high chairs available too. Our server was quite pleasant, prompt & his accent was like Russel Brand which added to the charm. There's also a bread bar on the lower level that has different types of breads & spreads and you can quickly toast it to your liking over their massive vented grill. Portion wise, appetizer, main course & dessert was filling & delicious, still staying true to the Italian theme. My little kids were able to share a duetto & still have leftovers for next day. We also had breakfast there the next which was great, the large breakfast (although pricy) was able to feed the whole family. I would've never known this place existed in Banff & I'm happy to have tried it and would recommend it to others too. read more

We ate here about three mornings since it was at our hotel and opened pretty early. The menu also had a variety of items ranging from unhealthy to healthy items. The breakfast wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good for something so convenient. We usually had the area to ourselves since we were up very early and we had amazing views of the sunrise as well. The staff was always very friendly and nice as well! We ordered several dishes from the breakfast menu and the only thing I didn't like was the smoked salmon and asparagus crepes. It was drenched in Alfredo sauce and cheese and very heavy for morning food. They had a picture of it in the menu that looked healthy, which is why I ordered it but it didn't look the same. The two best items were the Eggsquiste and the Goat Cheese and pesto eggs Benedict. VERY GOOD! They have the bread bar where you can add butter to about 5 types of bread, heat it quickly, and then add jelly. I wasn't too big of a fan of this because I didn't want to get full on bread. While staying at The Moose Hotel, we decided to try Pacini for breakfast. We had a very disappointing dining experience. Though I would like to be able to blame it on the restaurant being busy, the dining room was largely empty. To start, the waitress (Petra) seemed unfamiliar with dealing with allergies/their menu. She then served us fruit bread, which when we inquired still did contain the allergen. By the way, the fresh fruit cup is in fact the syrupy canned fruit salad variety. However, the real issue was that the food was mostly cold (with the exception of the eggs, which were hot and cooked well). My father waited the entire meal for Petra to come back and ask us how the meal was to ask for his entire plate reheated, as it was too cold to be edible. However, she never returned to inquire, and proceeded to start to clear his full plate without a word. When we tried to let her know the situation, she seemed to find it amusing and said only, "I'll let the kitchen know." There was no offer to comp the (uneaten) meal or make it right. We then went to the front desk to leave some feedback, but the clerk was going to lead us back into the dining room with all the serving staff privy. Certainly our first clue should have been the number of empty tables when we waited 45 minutes at Tooloulou's yesterday. It's wekk worth the extra wait to check out somewhere else. read more
