    Herb-crusted cod with pasta.
    Priscilla Y.

I had the Italian-crusted cod, which was an herb and garlic crusted baked cod and I chose it with a tomato-based linguini. You can have it with a salad instead. The cod was delicious and perfectly made, as was the pasta. I had this dish twice while in Banff. With an entree, they have a bread bar. There are different selections of bread. The spreads for the bread include butter, garlic butter, pesto, tomato and basil, etc. I had the foccacia with garlic butter and used their grill to toast the bread. It was a fun and delicious little experience. This restaurant is located inside Moose Hotel and Suites. I never had to wait too long for a table. Service was amazing.

Located in the hotel lobby with independent entrance Been going for breakfast 2 days in a row and will go back Good option for breakfast with reasonable prices. Seat by the window and enjoy people watching There offer a bread buffet with all the breakfast options- so fun -toast your bread on a big grill and choose couple of jam for it The oven bake crepes are good and new way to enjoy this classic Friendly staff

Nope. This place was not a win. We were only given 50 mins before we had to be back on the bus so we thought we would give it a shot. We ordered the prosciutto flatbread and the shiitake lasagna. The lasagna was much better than the pizza but both were marginal at best. The pizza bottom was white and doughy, and idk what noob put the prosciutto on top. I got on the bus and promptly told everyone it sucked and not to go there. So, I do the same to you. Give this place a hard pass.

    Seafood linguine

We came during covid restrictions so dine in was not an option. Their website is super easy to navigate and allows you to choose take-out or delivery. I chose takeout and prepaid with my credit card and was sent an estimated time for pick up. I arrived at my estimated time and my order was ready. I ordered the seafood linguine for $30.50, which comes with garlic bread. I don't know why I ordered seafood here, but that was a mistake. It contained shrimp, mussels, clams, and scallops and none of it was fresh. The scallops and shrimp were edible, but the clams were sandy and the mussels had a fishy taste. The linguine was cooked al dente and there was a lot of sauce at the bottom of the box. I'm thinking their other pastas are probably better and I would possibly come back to try it. Definitely stay away from their seafood though.

The lowered Bar area- cool concept

Great food and great decor with some very nice selection of food. I had the Mediterranean chicken sandwich in Foccassia bread with some really thin and deep fried fries. My companions had the Alfredo pasta and kale salad. All of the food was sumptuous and tasty. Kudos!

Unlimited bread bar - you get to toast your own bread on a big grill!

Pacini is inside The Moose Hotel & Suites. If you're staying here in the winter, it's a good breakfast option that doesn't require you to brave the cold before your first cup of coffee. The breakfast menu isn't super extensive and the biggest thing I noticed is that it's very carb-centric. They didn't have much in the way of protein-heavy meals, if that's your jam. In fact, they have an unlimited bread bar (honestly, this is just all-you-can-eat-toast, it's not like they have house made bread or anything, it's just sliced bread). The one super cool thing here is OF COURSE the grill where you get to "toast" your own bread. I had the multi-grain and it was delicious. One day, we ordered the breakfast pizza and it was...a LOT. I don't mean that in a great way though, it was just really rich - it seemed like there was a layer of cream cheese or maybe butter underneath the regular layer of cheese. I mean, it was tasty, but definitely calorie and fat dense. If you're ravenous, it's a good option. We stopped by another day for cocktails, the drink menu is decent and our bartender (Ryan) was happy to customize the cocktails for us, which was great. I can't speak to the dinner food, but there are so many amazing restaurants in Banff, it wouldn't be my first choice.

The food was not very good and way overpriced. I would go down the street to farm and fire for better pizza.

We came here on a whim to find a nice place to eat as we were on our way to Lake Louise. We walked around town to find a place to eat and my wife loves Italian, so we tried to walk in at about 6pm. Luckily for us, there was an open seat (reservation are highly recommended.. it was packed). We were greeted by the waiter who gave us the choice of sparkling or still water. Fancy schmancy. We got the still house water. The place was packed, full, and a bit loud, but also romantic given the atmosphere and the views. Good place to take a date, but not a good place if you wanted a private booth/moment. I ordered the seafood linguine, and my wife ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka. We also ordered the little gem caesar to share, and she also go the coffee martini for her drink. I got soda. The caesar came out and it was one of the best caesars I had. It was presented by having two baby heads of romaine lettuce covered with caesar dressing. Very tasty and creamy. Very very good! Next time, I am going to order one for just myself! Only eating one baby romaine head left me wanting more! After the salad, the pastas came out and the seafood linguine was remarkable! Presented as a bundle of linguini with seafood on the sides, all covered in white wine/clam sauce. One of THE BEST seafood linguines I have ever tried! My wife's spicy rigatoni was spicy and had a kick (I am Thai so take that for what it's worth). My wife thought it was a bit too spicy for her, but overall the dish was meh. Reminds me of the pasta alla vodka at Cheesecake Factory, but without the sausage. I do believe if there was an option to add sausage, the dish would've been 100x better. The dish just got bland the more you ate it. And because of this, I ended up eating the rigatoni, and my wife ate the linguini lol. Just kidding.. kinda. We shared our plates :) I highly recommend this place. The rigatoni was nothing special, but everything else was spectacular. We were even contemplating going back there on our drive home, but it opened at 4pm that day, and that was too late on our schedule to wait. Nevertheless, we'll be back again!

Below are the dishes we ordered: scallop crudo -- absolutely delicious! The scallops were so fresh and the sauce was so yummy. Loved the crispies on top (potato?). This was my favorite dish from our visit! winter squash pizza -- this sounded so unique so we had to try it! It was flavorful, and the star was definitely the crust!! The pizza crust is the best I've ever had; it was perfectly airy and light! rigatoni carbonara -- the rigatoni was a bit undercooked and the guanciale was overcooked. Overall, we did not enjoy this dish and would not recommend it. We were a bit disappointed about the pasta but enjoyed the other two dishes we ordered!

My wife and I went for dinner on our last night in Banff, and it was one of those meals you walk away from genuinely impressed. On the advice of our server, David, we started with the focaccia bread and meatballs. Both were spot-on--simple, flavourful, and exactly what you'd hope for from an Italian kitchen that takes its craft seriously. David clearly knew the menu well and didn't steer us wrong. For mains, we had the Lobster Carbonara and the Lasagna. The Carbonara was rich and full of flavour with a generous amount of lobster, and the Lasagna had that classic, comforting depth you want--no shortcuts, just solid cooking done right.. We learned Chef Tony, Who is of Italian heritage, learned much of his skills from his Nona. What really stood out was the service. David made the whole experience easygoing and enjoyable. Professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being over the top. He's the kind of server who elevates a night out simply by being good at what he does. David told us he had been in the area for 15 years and his level of service shows just that. Overall, the food was phenomenal--exactly the quality you expect from a Fairmont property--and the atmosphere matched it. Castillo Italiana delivered a great evening for both of us. Highly recommend! To top it off, the food came out fast, fresh, and hot. I was exhausted and a bit hangry, so I couldn't fully appreciate the taste of everything we ordered. Their special lobster carbonara was disappointing, although the lobster itself was good. By the time the food was served that evening, after a full afternoon of activities, it was more about refueling than indulging.

This adds so much extra salt and oil to the sushi that it drowns out the true flavor of the fish. For the first time in my life, I couldn't finish my sushi, and I had no desire to eat any leftovers.
