The worst McDonalds i have ever visited. First you order at the machine, and then it adds things to your order and does not ask you the type of drink you want. No refills, dont even go up to the counter because they never come. Lady at this location argued with me that we ordered a regular coke and i told it did not give the option. It took at least 20 minutes to get our food. We ate there and there was little to no business here. I would recommend going to Carl's Jr. they have drinks and free refills. The owners dont seem to care from prior comments and nothing has been done. It appears on highway 395, they do not allow refills even after raising their drink prices. read more

I would give zero stars if i could. Do not come here. Trying to get some fast food real quick before we go back to our campsite and let me tell you, my hair grew 3 inches while waiting for my food. First off, the prices were higher than any McDonald's Ive ever been in. There was a handful of people in there and they kept calling the same number over and over again. It was about 100 degrees outside and about 90 degrees inside. Half of my party ended up getting a refund because their order stayed at the counter and their ticket number was never called. McD's food is pretty consistent so this review is about our dining experience. This location appears to be new or newly remodeled. Maybe the staff knows that most diners are heading to another destination than Bishop so they just don't GAF. Liked seeing the kiosks for self-ordering since that is my preferred way to order since I can contemplate my choices and change my mind as needed and after ordering just place the placard on your table and the staff brings it right out. At least that's the concept. After waiting a bit longer than expected, I decided to check at the counter and lo and behold our order was just sitting there getting cold and I noticed the staff standing around chatting. We dined sometime after noon and the dining room wasn't busy AT ALL, we even needed to wipe the table and seatidown ourselves so they weren't even cleaning properly there. Lazy staff brings this rating down to 1 star, would definitely be lower if Yelp allowed negative stars. read more

This is probably the worst one. Says dining is closed at 9pm, but they close it at 8pm. Drive through is closed at 11pm, but they close it 10pm. Also, the worst part is they dont have free refill. Travelers Towing ANYTHING BEWARE!!! While traveling up to Mammoth, we stopped for gas next door and I went to run in for a quick snack at 7:30pm on Friday evening. When I went in I noticed all the chairs were on the tables, no one at the counter and another family also was inside waiting for help. So I had a very annoying experience at this Mc Donald's. I ordered my food at the little screen because they are no longer taking orders on the counter which was fine. But I added 2 sweet and sours to my order which I was fine paying for. I was aware they costed extra. When I finally received my order everything was in the bag but the extra sauces. Well they failed to tell me that you have to order the extra sauces at the counter even though I had them on my receipt. They don't take any orders at the counter, ONLY sauces they informed me. I find it very annoying that I had no problem paying for extra sauces that why I added it to my order when I paid on the touch screen BUT because it should that the sauces I added to the order where free it wasn't valid. There was nothing posted saying I had to go to the counter to order sauces and they didn't inform me when they handed me my order. I had to go back to the counter to ask for the sauces that were in my receipt to find out I had to make another transaction of .63 cents for the extra sauces. The manager had nothing to say. I've never written a review before, but I am beyond words right now and feel that I need to share my horrible experience. My husband and I came here with our 3 hungry babies after a long weekend of camping, hoping to get a quick bite to eat on the road to home. It first started by us waiting at the drive up for 5 minutes without being greeted at all. Then after waiting there we were greeted with "you can order." No apology for the wait or anything. My husband proceeded to tell her we were using the app, gave her the code. And at this point everything we had said was already an inconvenience to her. Her attitude was disgusting, she was giving us no time to speak, and wasn't understanding what we were saying. She was interrupting us in between orders, rushing us, and just being so unprofessional. Mind you, we only ordered a 20 piece nugget, a cheeseburger meal, and additional cheeseburger. Nothing too complicated. At the end of our order, she didn't repeat it back, didn't tell us our total, just stopped responding to us. When we drove up, I told my husband he missed a cheeseburger meal, there were supposed to be 2 cheeseburger meals but since she didn't repeat it back to us, I realized as we were driving up to the window that one was missing. And hey, that may be my fault. Tired mom of 3 toddlers here. But if the order was repeated back to us, I would have fixed it then. We then get up to the window, and she already opens it rolling her eyes.. my husband apologizes politely and asks if we can add one more meal. She told us no. Just flat out no. He explains that it was supposed to be 2 meals and that he was sorry he forgot to order it at the speaker. She told us no she cannot do that and it's against policy. I'll be honest, here I started to get upset with just the way her customer service was from the very beginning, and I did say "what do you mean against policy? We just want to complete our order" I explained to her that we drove up to the window and realized we missed a meal, and she said "so you drove up without finishing your order??" And rolled her eyes and huffed. BUT WAIT. She then finishes it with "I guess I will add onto it since you want to act all butthurt" VERBATIM. Her and her other co worker looked at each other and rolled their eyes.. I told her I wasn't going to continue with her disgusting attitude, so we drove away without paying and without receiving our food. Never in my life have we been treated like this by someone working customer service. Now we have some angry babies and angry parents, but we absolutely will not support or give our business to them after being disrespected this way. I will never return and never recommend to anyone. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! We took a stop here on our long road trip hoping to have a yummy, quick meal. The drive-through was unnecessarily long. We paid for an apple pie and an extra dipping sauce but did not receive those iteams in our order. Ofcourse, we realized this after leaving the establishment. The fries and nuggets were under-salted and over cooked and the big Mac was way too saucy, making it not only disgusting but also impossible to eat in the car. You'd be safe guessing these are the conditions of a McDonald's in the inner city of a large metropolis. However, I'm describing the lobby environment of a McDonald's in a rural community with less than 4,000 people at the last census. Yes this location is ... frugal, or something. Every few years, the fast food chain of McDonald's re-introduces the "McRib" sandwich, much to the delight of those who crave this fine sandwich. During a recent stay in Bishop, California, I couldn't help but to notice the McDonald's, located across Main Street from my motel room, had "McRibs" at the price of 2 for $5.00. How could I resist? My visit was during late October of last year, and I'm just getting to posting it on Yelp. The main dining room is clean, spacious, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The Bishop McDonald's even features "high-tech" menu boards. As far as the McRib sandwich, the meat is pork and shaped to resemble a small rack of ribs. Add barbecue sauce, diced onion, sliced dill prickle and place it all on a bun, and you've got a heckuva good sandwich! $5.00 for two of them and you've go a great lunch! Just like most offerings at McD, you love it, or you hate it. I'm with the "love it" crowd. The McDonald's store in Bishop, CA is clean, modern, and very well-staffed. Unlike many other McD locations, the staff are friendly, efficient, and treated me well. I give this McDonald's location a 4-star rating, but with reservations, as, after all, it's a McDonald's, nearly identical to every other store in the massive chain. If fast food is your "thing," and McDonald's is your choice of cuisine, you can't go wrong visiting the McDonald's location in Bishop. read more

McDonald's is in the worst location ever at in the city of Bishop it's hard to get in the Drive-Thru is always full. McDonald's would be better off at the very end of town than in the center of town if they want to actually get more business. They refuse to open their doors early morning and they lock up early in the evenings. the fries are never cooked all the way. Anything you order that is deep fried will taste disgusting. I should've looked at reviews before eating here. You must only stay open because there is nothing else. The girl gave me fries that were so old they were hard and cold and said oh we just made them. I told her it's not even warm. They microwaved them and gave them back instead of making new fries. Someone clearly needs to brush up on proper food handling. read more
