The food is excellent, the service is simply horrendous, the woman who took our order was CHEWING what seemed to be ice or something that made a loud noise, when she finished to take the order she didn't even give us the total, when we got to the window she didn't greet us and went straight to the total, we wanted sauce but she never asked us if we liked it so when she gave us our food and said good night we had to interrupt her to give us sauce which is a question she should ask us not us to her, they need to improve that customer service read more

Crappy McDonalds. Their hours are always wrong. They say they are open until 11, but multiple times have just decided to close at 9. Even worse that the app says they are open amd let's you order. Yet, when you show up all the lights are off. Terrible. They workers at this location simply do not care. When I got my food they got the order completely wrong, so I went inside and they refused to remake it. And then I asked for the bathroom code and in the men's bathroom was a pair of underwear which is borderline disgusting and unsanitary. I will be making a corporal complaint against the place!!! If I could, I'd leave a 0/5 stars. Terrible experience. I am sure the staff are working super hard, but they are incredibly understaffed and unable to handle the volume of customers. The dining room was filthy, with no employees entering the dining room to clean in the over 30 minutes we were here. A customer spilled a soda, right in front of the pick up counter, 15 minutes ago and it has still not been cleaned. A customer took it upon herself to put out the caution cones. The trash cans are bursting with trash. There was a spilled ice cream cone that has been ignored. I waited 10 minutes to get two ice waters for my kids, and I had to shout to get the attention of someone to get the restroom code. This location needs at least 3-5 more employees. One at the cash register to help people. 1-2 on the floor to clean up spills and empty trash. 2-3 in the kitchen to help when things get slammed. Our experience was a disaster. The cups say locally owned and operated, so perhaps that is the problem. I guess this is what you get when you take people out of customer service. read more

On a road trip and stopped for a quick bite. No air conditioning, so it's blazing hot inside. Trash cans are all overflowing. Big signs saying no refills on any drink. The food is pricy and it's still just McDonald's. They need to get over themselves. This location is pretty bad. In reading other reviews, the air has been out for a few days. It's 106 outside. They left our order just sitting on the counter and never called our number. Food was disgusting and ice melted in the Coke. Refused to provide receipts because they ran out of paper. We stopped there for fast foods, surprisingly only one customer was there at 12:42pm on sat. 1/27/24. 1. Cashier was there but she said "order from kiosk there." She was not very friendly and no greeting at all. I have no idea why she is standing there. Just write on the paper"order from kiosk!" 2.Restroom was so dirty. I did not want to eat there after I used restroom but I already ordered some foods. 3.They charged extra for sweet and sour sauces. 4.There is "no refill" for drinks! I would give zero stars if i could. Do not come here. Trying to get some fast food real quick before we go back to our campsite and let me tell you, my hair grew 3 inches while waiting for my food. First off, the prices were higher than any McDonald's Ive ever been in. There was a handful of people in there and they kept calling the same number over and over again. It was about 100 degrees outside and about 90 degrees inside. Half of my party ended up getting a refund because their order stayed at the counter and their ticket number was never called. Travelers Towing ANYTHING BEWARE!!! While traveling up to Mammoth, we stopped for gas next door and I went to run in for a quick snack at 7:30pm on Friday evening. When I went in I noticed all the chairs were on the tables, no one at the counter and another family also was inside waiting for help. Once I hollered for someone to come to the register we were informed that the dining room was closed, but the drive-thru was open. Dining room closed at 7:30pm??? WTF? McD's food is pretty consistent so this review is about our dining experience. This location appears to be new or newly remodeled. Maybe the staff knows that most diners are heading to another destination than Bishop so they just don't GAF. Liked seeing the kiosks for self-ordering since that is my preferred way to order since I can contemplate my choices and change my mind as needed and after ordering just place the placard on your table and the staff brings it right out. At least that's the concept. After waiting a bit longer than expected, I decided to check at the counter and lo and behold our order was just sitting there getting cold and I noticed the staff standing around chatting. We dined sometime after noon and the dining room wasn't busy AT ALL, we even needed to wipe the table and seatidown ourselves so they weren't even cleaning properly there. Lazy staff brings this rating down to 1 star, would definitely be lower if Yelp allowed negative stars. read more

The worst McDonalds i have ever visited. First you order at the machine, and then it adds things to your order and does not ask you the type of drink you want. No refills, dont even go up to the counter because they never come. Lady at this location argued with me that we ordered a regular coke and i told it did not give the option. It took at least 20 minutes to get our food. We ate there and there was little to no business here. I would recommend going to Carl's Jr. they have drinks and free refills. The owners dont seem to care from prior comments and nothing has been done. It appears on highway 395, they do not allow refills even after raising their drink prices. read more

So I had a very annoying experience at this Mc Donald's. I ordered my food at the little screen because they are no longer taking orders on the counter which was fine. But I added 2 sweet and sours to my order which I was fine paying for. I was aware they costed extra. When I finally received my order everything was in the bag but the extra sauces. Well they failed to tell me that you have to order the extra sauces at the counter even though I had them on my receipt. They don't take any orders at the counter, ONLY sauces they informed me. I find it very annoying that I had no problem paying for extra sauces that why I added it to my order when I paid on the touch screen BUT because it should that the sauces I added to the order where free it wasn't valid. There was nothing posted saying I had to go to the counter to order sauces and they didn't inform me when they handed me my order. I had to go back to the counter to ask for the sauces that were in my receipt to find out I had to make another transaction of .63 cents for the extra sauces. The manager had nothing to say. We ordered 4 meals on our way up to mammoth. 2 kids and 2 adults. We asked for sweet n sour but got no sauce for 3 meals we had to ask twice for ketchup and got no straws for our drinks. You'd be safe guessing these are the conditions of a McDonald's in the inner city of a large metropolis. However, I'm describing the lobby environment of a McDonald's in a rural community with less than 4,000 people at the last census. Yes this location is ... frugal, or something. I think they deserve two stars because the prepared food was picture perfect and served quickly. We paid for an apple pie and an extra dipping sauce but did not receive those iteams in our order. Ofcourse, we realized this after leaving the establishment.
